REVIEW:  CRAZY WICKED LOVE is the third instalment in Melissa Fosters’ contemporary adult THE WICKEDS: DARK KNIGHTS AT BAYSIDE erotic, romance series. This is former US Marines Dwayne ‘Gunner’ Wicked, and Sidney ‘MOS’ Carver’s story line. CRAZY WICKED LOVE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary. CRAZY WICKED LOVE and The Wickeds: Dark Knights at Bayside is a spin off from the author’s Bayside Summers, The Whiskeys, and its’ numerous franchises.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Gunner and Sidney) CRAZY WICKED LOVE follows the best friends to lovers relationship between former US Marines Dwayne ‘Gunner’ Wicked, and Sidney ‘MOS’ Carver. Both approaching thirty years of age, Gunner and Sidney were once members of the same US Marine Unit but upon their ‘retirement’ started an animal rescue and rehab business together, but as time went by Sidney Carver started falling in love with her best friend, and watched from the sidelines as Gunner Wicked entertained a long parade of various women. Knowing she would never be the type of woman Gunner could love, Sidney devised a ‘scheme’ to make Gunner jealous, a scheme that potentially involved Gunner’s cousin Zander. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Sidney and Gunner, and the potential fall-out as Sidney reveals the truth sending Gunner into a spiral of betrayal.

Sidney Carver and Dwayne ‘Gunner’ Wicked are best friends; co-owners of Wicked Animal Rescue, and members of the same former US Marine Unit but Sidney is tired of all the women in and out of Gunner’s life, knowing she will never be enough for our story line hero. Gunner Wicked fears losing his best friend if crosses the proverbial line from friendship to lovers but jealousy is a constant companion every time someone acknowledges the woman with whom he will fall in love.

The relationship between Gunner and Sidney is a best friends to lovers relationship in which Gunner is oblivious to Sidney’s attraction and desire for more. When Sidney asks for advice to flirty and pick up Gunner’s cousin, Gunner sees red, and makes it his mission to claim Sidney as his own. The $ex scenes are erotic, passionate and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

As per Melissa Foster’s style of writing, there is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and familiar secondary and supporting characters from the previous story lines as well as the numerous cross-over and interconnected series.

CRAZY WICKED LOVE is a wonderful story of friendships, relationships, family and love. The premise is emotional and captivating; the romance is seductive and hot; the characters are engaging, animated and spirited.
