ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date August 24, 2023

I’m ancient for a hockey player.

Broody as they come.

I wasn’t always like that, I had love once, but it was ripped away in the blink of an eye.

Now all I want in life is to play the game I love and to be left alone.

Until I met the team’s new photographer.

I did my best to avoid her.

She was too young for me.

There was just something about her that called to me.

I’m not sure I can let go of my past, even if it means a future I never thought possible.

REVIEW:DAMIEN is the fourth instalment in Samantha Lind’s contemporary, adult SAN FRANCISCO SHOCKWAVES erotic, hockey romance series. This is thirty eight year old, defenseman Damien Thompson, and team social media manager Trinity Black’s story line. DAMIEN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Trinity and Damien) DAMIEN follows the building romance and relationship between thirty eight year old, defenseman Damien Thompson, and team social media manager Trinity Black. Trinity Black is the new social media manager for the San Francisco Shockwaves, and within days of her hire she will come face to face with her future in the guise of defenseman Damien Thompson. Getting to know each player means up close and personal when she discovers a heart breaking loss from Damien’s past. As the days turn into weeks, Damien makes the first move, and their relationship begins without any cause for concern. What ensues is the building romance between Trinity and Damien, as the couple come to terms with the past, and the future going forward.

The relationship between Trinity and Damien is one of immediate attraction but Damien has loved and lost, and in the previous eight years, there has been no one to hold his heart of his soul. Trinity Black has found her dream job with the San Francisco Shockwaves, and falling in love is the perfect addition to her new life and her new job. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

Most of the previous story line couples return as secondary and supporting characters. We are introduced to Trinity’s parents, and her best friend Michael.

DAMIEN is a story of friendships and relationships, loss and love, acceptance and starting over. The premise is captivating but there is no conflict or struggle for our leading couple. The characters are energetic and dynamic; the romance is provocative and intense.
