ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date August 6, 2019
There is no escaping a Reaper. I am an elite assassin, part of a brotherhood that only answers to Death. And when Death says your time is up, I’m coming for you…
My duty to Death drives me forward. I’ve never once strayed from my path – not even when the future seemed uncertain. However, Maeve’s intelligence, cunning and determination challenges me in ways I never imagined. Finding out what she knows is the key to learning how to conquer our enemy. The Dark Fae breathes new life into me unlike anything I’ve ever known. For Maeve, I will risk trusting the Dark. For her…I will battle darkness itself.

REVIEW:DARK ALPHA’S REDEMPTION is the eighth instalment in Donna Grant’s contemporary adult REAPERS paranormal/fantasy romance series. This is Reaper Bradach, and Dark Fae business woman Maeve the Merciless’ story line. The REAPERS is a spin off from Donna’s DARK KINGS series which is a spinoff from Donna’s DARK WARRIOR series which in turn is a spin off from Donna’s DARK SWORD series- all set in the Highlands of Scotland. You do not have to have read any of the previous series to understand the premise but many of the events overlap with the events of the Dark Kings. DARK ALPHA’S REDEMPTION can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion. DARK ALPHA’S REDEMPTION unites the Dragon Kings in their search
SOME BACKGROUND: The Reapers (believed to be a folk lore amongst the Fae) are a group of Dark and Light Fae, selected by Death (aka Erith), on their own deathbed, to do her bidding-Death is the judge and jury; the Reapers are the executioners. The Reapers are not harbingers of death, but are tasked with destroying the Light and Dark Fae who have crossed a line from which there is no return. All Reapers must follow two rules: never to fall in love; and never to reveal their existence to anyone. If you have read Donna’s DARK KINGS series you will recognize the familiarity between the two series as both follow a similar plot and premise including betrayal by one of their own.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Bradach and Maeve) DARK ALPHA’S REDEMPTION follows Reaper Bradach as he is tasked with locating the only surviving descendant of the Light Fae Queen Usaeil. Missing and presumed imprisoned, Xaneth’s whereabouts are unknown. The Reapers are desperate so they send in Bradach to search for the Fae but Bradach needs help in locating Xaneth and looks to an unlikely friend for help. Enter Maeve, a Dark Fae who may or may not know the last known location of the Light Fae Queen. With the help of the Dark Kings, who themselves are searching for one of their own, Maeve and Bradach go in search for Xaneth only to come face to face with a creature created to destroy them all.
Maeve the Merciless keeps secret her past, a past that has forced our heroine to use glamor whenever she is in the open or public. With the recommendation of Balladyn, the King of the Dark, Bradach employs Maeve in his search for the missing Fae, a search that will push Maeve and Bradach together towards their own happily ever after.
DARK ALPHA’S REDEMPTION is another revealing and intriguing instalment as the author continues to build towards the denouement of several interconnected series including the Dark Kings, the Reapers, Dark Sword and the Dark Warriors. We learn how Bradach came to be a Reaper-the betrayal and heart break; the circumstances surrounding the decision to keep the Light Fae Queen alive, and Usaeil’s spiral out of control as she ascends into a madness for power and control.

Donna Grant is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the sizzling Dark King series featuring dragons, immortal Highlanders, and the Fae.
She was born and raised in Texas but loves to travel. Her adventures have taken her throughout the United States as well as to Jamaica, Mexico, and Scotland. Growing up on the Texas/Louisiana border, Donna’s Cajun side of the family taught her the “spicy” side of life while her Texas roots gave her two-steppin’ and bareback riding.
Despite deadlines and voracious reading, Donna still manages to keep up with her two children, four cats, and one long haired Chihuahua.
