ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date July 2 2019
Everything changed the night our eyes met across the room. His green gaze upon me prickled my skin with uncustomary warmth while my peek beneath his cuff—of a riot of color on his wrist—sparked my insatiable curiosity. Tall and mysterious, Kader was a man whose secrets I longed to know.
Little did I realize that the night we met was only the beginning—the beginning to the end of the existence I knew. With my life’s work now stolen and being offered to the highest bidder and friends and colleagues scattered, the future was unclear.
I’d wanted to believe that Kader was my eye in the middle of the raging category 5 hurricane my life had become.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
What will happen as his assignment becomes our obsession?

REVIEW: OBSESSED is the second instalment in Aleatha Romig’s contemporary, adult TANGLED WEB dark romance, psychological, suspense trilogy. This is scientist Dr. Laurel Carlson, and assassin for hire Mason ‘Kader’ Pierce’s story line. The Tangled Web series is set in the same world as the author’s WEB OF SIN trilogy (Sterling Sparrow) but you do not have to have read the original series to understand or follow Tangled Web. OBSESSED should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events of book one TWISTED.
SOME BACKGROUND: Dr. Laurel Carlson, along with her colleague Dr. Russell Cartwright are missing, and part of their scientific discovery is currently on the black market, auctioning off to the highest bidder. Imprisoned by an assassin for hire, Laurel struggles with her attraction to a man whose end game is to take her life.
Told from three first person perspectives (Laurel, Mason and Kader) using present day and memories from the past OBSESSED follows in the aftermath of our heroine’s abduction, and subsequent imprisonment by a man she has come to know as Kadar. With the authorities suspecting she and her university colleague have gone missing or dead, Laurel finds herself trapped in a virtual prison with no possibility of escape. As she and Kadar search for clues as to the who, what and why of her missing research, Laurel begins to break down Kadar’s defenses, walls he has built to protect his mind and his heart. What ensues is the building relationship between Laurel and Kadar, and the potential fall-out as Kadar is not the man Laurel has come to know.
OBSESSED is a story of betrayal, power, intrigue and control. A suspenseful, complicated, multi-layered and intense tale of one man’s personal h*ll, and one woman’s struggle to make sense of it all. Aleatha Romig reveals just enough information to suck you in, make you think, then think again, never forgetting that all is not as it seems.
