ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date August 26, 2021
My husband was taken from me.
Murdered two years ago.
Now it’s time for revenge.
At least that’s what I wanted until a stranger catches me red handed.
Matthew’s dominant, possessive, and too ruthless to ignore.
He wants to help. To give me a future, freedom, and, most of all, vengeance.
Problem is, he has no clue who I really am. Or my family’s legacy.
I do everything in my power to keep my secrets hidden.
To maintain our perfect pact that becomes complicated by attraction.
Until I learn my lies and sins are nothing in comparison to his.

REVIEW: SEEKING VENGEANCE is the first instalment in Eden Summers’ contemporary, adult HUNTING-MAFIA dark, erotic, romantic suspense, Mafia series-a spin off from the author’s HUNTING HER. This is single mother Layla Torian, and businessman Matthew Langston’s story line. SEEKING VENGEANCE can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the HUNTING HER series for back story and cohesion where Layla’s story begins.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Layla and Matthew) SEEKING VENGEANCE follows Layla Torian on her journey for revenge. Layla’s life spiralled out of control when her father, Luther Torian, manipulated our heroine to betray her family and the people she loved but two years earlier, her daughter’s life was threatened, and Layla demands retribution for sins of the past. Meeting businessman and nightclub owner Matthew Langston stirs something deep within our story line heroine but exposing secrets and lies reveals a deeper connection than anyone could have ever imagined. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Layla and Matthew, and the fall-out as Matthew and Layla’s pasts collide, once again, threatening, everything and everyone Layla and Matthew love.
Layla Torian has struggled with her place in the family for a number of years, always on the outside; ostracized by her siblings, barely in control. Needing revenge for the heart break and pain of almost losing her daughter, Layla goes in search of the people she believes continue to destroy her life, only to come face to face with Matthew Langston, a man who knows more about revenge than Layla knows. Matthew Langston is a man with many secrets, and lies by omission are about to break our heroine’s heart. Obsessed with Layla, Matthew is willing to risk everything to protect the woman with whom he is falling in love.
The relationship between Matthew and Layla is predicated upon a number of lies. Neither Matthew nor Layla are willing to expose themselves-the who, what, and why, of their need to avenge and protect but an immediate attraction and desire pulls our heroine into Matthew’s life. With a history of ‘falling’ for the wrong type of men, Layla is about to discover that Matthew may be the most evil of them all. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and intense but I dislike the use of a certain four-letter word, although only used once, more for shock value than anything else.
There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Layla’s extendedn family of siblings and one-time friends from the original Hunting Her series: Luke and Sarah, Decker and Keira, Anissa and Cole ,Luca and Penny; Layla’s daughter Stella, and their half brother Tobias, as well as Matthew’s largely dysfunctional family, and his right hand man Bishop.
SEEKING VENGEANCE is a heart breaking and emotional story of betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, power and control, obsession and love. The premise is revealing, twisted and edgy; the characters are wounded and determined; the romance is seductive, captivating and spirited. SEEKING VENGEANCE ends of a cliff hanger-you have been warned.

“Are you deliberately torturing me?” he growls.
My heart kicks. Wild and unrhythmic. “Torturing you?”
He raises the scotch, downing the contents in one fell swoop before returning the glass to his side. “You know exactly what I’m talking about.”
There’s a warning in his voice. A delicious subtle threat.
My throat tightens. My chest, too. Everything is so painfully, invigoratingly restricted that I have to fight hard to maintain level breathing.
I raise my other leg, crossing both at the ankles against the rim of the tub. I shouldn’t be doing this. Warning bells ring in the farthest recesses of my mind. If only they were loud enough to put a stop to the craziness. “Join me.”
His jaw ticks. That’s his only response. No movement. No words.
“Matthew?”
His features tighten, almost setting in a glower as he grates, “Be sure about this, Layla.”
“I think I am,” I lie. I’m not even partially certain. I’m running on instinct alone. No, not instinct—infatuation.
“Then I’m staying where I am.” He crosses his arms over his chest, the glass moving to rest in the crook of his arm. “I’m on the precipice here. I can only pretend to be a stand-up guy for so long, then I’m going to start pushing my own agenda. So don’t play with me, amore mio.”
Eden Summers is a bestselling author of contemporary romance with a side of sizzle and sarcasm.
She lives in Australia with a young family who are well aware she’s circling the drain of insanity. Eden can’t resist alpha dominance, dark features and sarcasm in her fictional heroes and loves a strong heroine who knows when to bite her tongue but also serves retribution with a feminine smile on her face
