REVIEW: A CHRISTMAS RESCUE by Samantha Chase follows the acrimonious relationship between veterinarian Dr. Gavin Maguire , and office receptionist Bailey Walsh. The holidays are just around the corner, and Silver Bell Falls Pet Clinic has lost the Christmas spirit thanks to Dr. Gavin Maguire or Dr. Grinch as his employees have started to call him. Unable to stand Gavin’s Scrooge-like behaviour Bailey and the staff decorate the office for Christmas only to be threatened with their jobs within hours of arrival. Unwilling to stand down, Bailey hands in her resignation but quickly finds herself as the veterinarian’s assistant when a homeless lab goes into labor at a downtown shelter, and a snow storm shuts down Silver Bell Falls. Time together means reminiscing about events of the past, and the realization that not all is as it seems. What ensues is the enemies to lovers relationship between Scott and Olivia, and the potential fall-out as Scott struggles with demons from his past.

STRANDED IN THE SNOW is a fast paced, entertaining and heart breaking story line. There is some back story and history between the Matheson and Holiday families but the current generation is pushing aside the poison and lies that all but destroyed two families.
