REVIEW: THE PROPOSITION is the first storyline in Jennifer Lyon’s AMAZING new PLUS ONE CHRONICLES focusing on Sloane Michaels and Kat Thayne. As the series suggests, Sloane is a man looking for a ‘plus one’. Not one for any permanent or serious relationships, Sloane offers a proposition to bakery owner Kat Thayne-to be his ‘plus-one’ for both personal and public affairs. But Kat suffers with PTSD and has a difficult time letting go. When her past catches up with her, Sloane offers more than a chance at being his ‘plus-one’ –he offers her his protection as well as teaching her ways to face her demons-head on.

The relationship between Sloane and Kat begins as a proposition between two people whose paths had crossed years before, although our heroine is not aware of Sloane’s prior existence. With a past mired in secrets and pain Kat is unprepared for the feelings and emotions unlocked by Sloane’s presence in her life. He is everywhere and everything she needs and wants-although she doesn’t know it –yet.

The reader is taken on one woman’s journey as she fights the demons from her past, a dysfunctional family unit that tries to control and manipulate her life and, a new man who could very well be the promise to her future.

But Sloane has a secret, mired in guilt and shame, and in The Proposition we are privy to the barest amount of information. Perhaps Kat is the ticket to his redemption? And is Kat the one woman to thaw the frozen heart of a man who believes he deserves to be punished for a past mistake?

THE PROPOSITION is an amazing and breathtaking storyline. I was prepared for another ‘copy cat’ series but found I could not stop reading until the very end. I was pulled in, sucked under and discovered that I want a man like Sloane in my life. What woman doesn’t want a protector like Sloane Michaels and all of his bada**  heartbreaking goodness!! Jennifer Lyon has found her niche with the Plus One Chronicles.

    Barb, a “plus-one” is usually on formal invitations, asking if the guest wishes to bribing one more person with them–usually a date or friend. Hope that answers your question.

    • I am a fiend for re-reading, especially the storylines I love.

      I have fallen for Sloane…such a bada$$ and yet….such a big heart that you know can be very easily broken.
