Death by Pilates

Whoever said exercise is good for the mind and body had to be smoking some pretty good drugs and not sharing.  I’ve been doing a pilates circuit course now for a few years and every week it feels like the next day the headline in the newspaper will read; “Death by Pilates”  LOL!!!

It’s a grueling workout, to which I think my instructor at times is possessed by some strange exercise demon who likes nothing better then to torture it’s victims.  One of these weeks I just know I’m going to glance up from one of my torturous exercises and find her eyes glowing red with horns protruding from her skull (image of Simi flashes in my mind, LOL).

This class is not for the faint of heart, nor for someone who’s expecting a light stretching and toning class.  With pilates circuit we combine pilates with cardio and you can bet there’s no way I’m walking out of that class not dripping in sweat, and wheezing my lungs out.  I feel like a wet noodle by the time I’m done class and my water bottle is always empty.  Oh and I think the clock is against me too, for I swear every time I glance up at it, it never seems to move.  Even Father Time is enjoying my torture, LOL.   I keep asking my instructor if she goes down to the 7th level of hell to come up with these workouts and she just laughs at me, but I can see the wheels turning in her head and I’m already dreading next weeks class.

I swear that as I’m typing this post my muscles are already twitching in fear of what’s to come this Tuesday.  It usually takes me a few days afterwards to recover and by then it’s time to get back to my class.  When I walk in to work the next day my co-workers just look at the way I’m moving and say; “pilates circuit last night?”.  My only reply is a slight nod of the head for it’s too painful to move anything else. I also dread getting down on the floor at sleeptime for I fear I may not get back up.  I keep telling my co-workers just put out a cot for me and I’ll attempt to roll onto it and stay there for sleeptime with the kids.  LOL!!!

As if this class isn’t enough, now I’ve let a friend of mine talk me into taking a Zumba class once a week.  Me, Miss Uncoordinated  supreme with two left feet.  Oh this is gonna be a laughfest, I can just tell.  I just hope my body is recovered from pilates in time for zumba each week or else it’s gonna look like seniors dance night with me, LOL.  Honestly though, don’t let this post scare you, it really isn’t that bad, did I just say that?  No seriously, thought if I didn’t enjoy the class and it’s health benefits I wouldn’t be going, I’m not that crazy……..yet, LOL!!!  I’ve never felt healthier, or more in shape then I am now.

Until next time.  😉

An Interview with Jennifer Estep

An Interview with Jennifer Estep

The Reading Cafe is happy to have Jennifer Estep with us today.

We did a feature on Jennifer’s YA series..Mythos Academy in June. But with her latest release of Widow’s Web from her wonderful Elemental Assassin series, we are fortunate to have her come talk to us today.

Let’s meet Jennifer.

TRC: Jennifer, we at the Reading Café would like to thank you for taking the time to answer our questions.

TRCPlease tell us about yourself

Jennifer: Thanks for hosting me on the site. I appreciate it.

My name is Jennifer Estep, and I’m a New York Times bestselling author. I write the Elemental Assassin urban fantasy series for Pocket Books and the Mythos Academy young adult urban fantasy series for Kensington. I’m also the author of the Bigtime paranormal romance series.

TRC: When and how did you first become interested in writing?

Jennifer:  I’ve always loved to read, and my mom used to take me to the library every week when I was a kid, which is how I fell in love with books and reading in the first place. So I think all that slowly lead to an interest in writing. One day after reading a book that was just okay, I had the thought that I think a lot of authors do: Why, I could write something better than that.

So I sat down one summer during college and wrote my first book. It wasn’t very good, but I’d been bitten by the writing bug, and I’ve been writing ever since.

TRC: What was your first book ever published?

Jennifer: My first published book was Karma Girl, which is the first book in my Bigtime paranormal romance series that focuses on superheroes and ubervillains. Karma Girl was first published in 2007, and the e-book is available, along with e-books for the other titles in my Bigtime series – Hot Mama, Jinx, and A Karma Girl Christmas (an e-story).

TRC: How did you come up with the idea for Mythos Academy?  What made you decide to venture into YA?

Jennifer: I’ve always been interested in mythology and all the stories of the gods, goddesses, warriors, creatures, and more battling each other and going on these epic adventures. I had been wanting to try writing a YA book for a while, and one day I just thought what if I wrote a YA book that featured mythology. That sort of became the idea for the Mythos Academy series.

TRC: DARK FROST was the most recent book of this series. What are your plans and how many books do you see for Mythos Academy?

Jennifer: Dark Frost was published in June. Right now, I’m under contract for at least six books in the series. At this point, I’m not sure if that will let me finish out the main story arc or if there will be a few more books in the series after that. Crimson Frost, the fourth book in the series, is tentatively scheduled to be published in January 2013.

TRC: Elemental Assassin is considered Urban Fantasy, and is an adult book.  Tell us how you came up with the idea.  How many books do you plan for this series.

Jennifer: I’ve always liked reading about assassin characters, especially in fantasy books. It just seems like there are so many stories you can tell with assassins and that they can be everything from crazy to cold to calculating. One day, I thought it would be cool to write my own assassin character with my own magic and world building, so that’s what I did, and that was sort of the start of the Elemental Assassin series.

As of right now, I’m under contract for at least ten books in the series. At this point, I’m not sure how many total books will be in the series, and I may write a few more books in the series beyond these ten.

TRC: WIDOW’S WEB is the 7th book in the Elemental Assassin series, and is due to be released in August.  Tell us a little about it.

Jennifer: Widow’s Web focuses on the backstory of Owen Grayson, who is the love interest for my heroine, Gin Blanco, aka the assassin the Spider. In Widow’s Web, someone from Owen’s past comes to town, and Gin has to figure out if this person is a threat to Owen or not. Also, Gin learns that Owen has a connection to one of the underworld figures in Ashland. So the book features a lot of Owen’s past and how that impacts Gin, Owen, and their relationship.

TRC: Will you ever go back to your Bigtime paranormal romance series?

Jennifer: Last year, I e-published A Karma Girl Christmas, a 14,000-word e-short story in the Bigtime series. I hope to write and e-publish more books and stories in the series. We’ll see how it goes.

TRC: Having written different genres..Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance, as well as YA & Adult fiction, which do you prefer?

Jennifer: There are things I like about all of them. I like the grittiness of urban fantasy; the romance in paranormal romance; and being able to tell more of a coming-of-age story in a YA.

TRC: What do you have planned for future books or series?  Are you working on any different series?

Jennifer: Right now, I’m pretty busy writing the Elemental Assassin and Mythos Academy series, but I do have some ideas for a new urban fantasy or maybe a YA series that I’d like to explore when I get time. We’ll see how it goes.

TRC: Who is your Muse?

Jennifer: I would say my characters are my muse. I want to go on more adventures with them and see what happens next. That’s part of what keeps me writing. Happy reading, everyone!

Tricia Talks

Tricia Talks

Tickle Your Fancy is one of our Themes. Since The Reading Cafe is a place we can all hang out, while we drink our coffee or sip our margaritas, the talk of everything books can lead to funny stuff when we are having fun. Since we have been enjoying this feature…It is time for the return of Tricia…..

First of all, I’d like to apologize for my absence; I have missed you all tremendously.  The Reading Café is a fabulous website and I am so glad to be back.  Why was I gone, you wonder?  My disappearing act was due to a couple of reasons.  Reason #1:  a lack of a decent internet connection.  I had dial up, which is SLOOOW.  Dial up connection speed made me crazy, so much time spent waiting, waiting, waiting…….. Reason #2:  I had major changes happen at work and I’ve spent the last few months working like crazy.  I have now paired up with AT&T’s U-verse and have fast internet and work has settled down somewhat so that means….I’m baaaaaaaaaaaaack.  🙂

I am an assistant manager at a very large financial institution.  If you are thinking, “Oh, manager.  That’s a cushy job.”  UH, NO!!   I would like to define manager in my little corner of the universe.

Webster’s dictionary defines manager as:  a) a person who conducts business or household affairs  b) a person whose work or profession is management  c) a person who directs a team.  That sounds nice, doesn’t it?  Yeah, not so much for my job.  I am the wrangler of a bunch of unruly cattle.  The babysitter at a daycare.  The mechanic, plumber, computer guru, therapist, cleaning lady, financial advisor, referee, food police, and general fixer of whatever needs fixing, whether it’s a customer, employee, hardware, software…..you get the picture.

I know what you are thinking…..that I’m exaggerating.  Sorry my fellow book readers, I am not.  On any given day I will have to repair something that is broken, remind an employee that it is not professional to eat a gigantic bear claw cinnamon roll thingy in view of our customers,  no arguing amongst each other, no cursing…..it’s exhausting.  And the questions! I get asked millions of questions all the live long day.  Tricia, Tricia, Tricia.  If I had a dollar for every time I heard my name, I’d have a lot of dollars.

I have one employee in particular that is unique to say the least.  Here are just a few of the conversations I have had with said employee over the years.  This is all true, I promise.  These conversations are in no particular order.

“Please don’t eat fried chicken at the front desk.  If you need a snack, go to the break room.”

“Make sure your piece of turtle chocolate pie is gone before we open the doors.”

“Why do you need a new keyboard?  Oh ok, because you filled yours with WD40 because the keys were sticking.  That’s a completely normal thing to do.”

“No, we cannot make all the customers leave so you can take your bra off.”

“Don’t eat your bear claw at the counter, go to the break room.”

“What is that smell? You spilled pickle juice all over the desk?  Are you kidding me?”

“What is all over the door?  Mayonnaise?  Your plastic baggie of mayo exploded all over the place!  Why do you have mayo in a plastic bag?  Never mind, I don’t want to know.”

“Please don’t talk to customers about your recent colonoscopy.  When they ask how you are doing, just say you are fine and send them on their way.  They also don’t want to know about your child’s bowel movements.”

Sadly, there are more conversations that I could add, but we have to leave room for the book reviews.  Needless to say, being a manager is one crazy job, especially where I work.  So when you start to think that management is an easy job, just think of me.  I will gladly accept donations for an early retirement fund.  I’m almost afraid what my employees will do next.  Pray for me, I need all the help I can get. 🙂

Widow’s Web (Elemental Assassin #7) by Jennifer Estep-a review

Widow’s Web (Elemental Assassin #7) by Jennifer Estep-a review

REMINDER:  Interview  and Giveaway with Jennifer Estep August 23, 2012

WIDOW’S WEB is the 7th novel (August 21, 2012 release)  in Jennifer Estep’s Elemental Assassin series. Gin Blanco aka The Spider is an assassin with the elementals of stone and ice, but Gin may have met her match both magically and emotionally, when someone from her lover’s past returns seeking revenge for the death of her father and Gin is the only one standing in her way.

Gin was surprised when local casino owner Phillip Kincaid requested her catering service. As the owner of the Pork Pit, Gin’s reputation preceded her, but no more than her assassin services. But after a suspicious water elemental attack on the floating casino, Gin knows that her skills as The Spider were what Kincaid was hoping for.

Salina has returned to Ashland. But unbeknownst to Gin, Salina has a history with both Owen Grayson and Kincaid. With their colorful history, it is no secret that something happened between the trio of friends, and the animosity between Owen and Kincaid is deep and dark-very personal. Even Owen’s younger sister appears to be caught up in the dysfunctional family feud. But it is Owen’s behavior towards the return of Salina that has everyone on edge including an angry and disgruntled Eva. Betrayed by her brother’s obvious defense of Salina, Eva confesses to Gin the secret she has kept from her brother for over 15 years.

Owen and Gin’s relationship has had its’ ups and downs, but throughout the last couple of storylines, they have become closer professing their love for one another. But Salina is part of Owen’s past and apparently one that he has never relinquished hold. When Gin must choose between saving the people that she loves or stand by watching everyone die a horrible death, it will force Owen to make a decision that will break her heart and yours. Throughout the series, Owen has remained (for the most part) in the background, but Widow’s Web will reveal a different side of the man and one that I was saddened to read.  His love for Gin will be questioned especially when he is willing to risk everything and everyone for a woman that is truly evil and over the edge. And knowing that The Spider had no choice but to do what she had to do, made Owen’s reactions that much more difficult to accept.

As the assassin Spider, Gin is at the top of her game, but Salina’s powers will prove too much for Gin. Revenge for the murder of her father forces a mentally unstable Salina to seek retribution against everyone who stood by and watched him die and this time everyone Gin loves will be caught in the web including herself.

WIDOW’S WEB is another wonderful and exciting instalment in Jennifer Estep’s Elemental Series. Jennifer focuses much of her energy in character and plotline development allowing the reader to be absorbed into the storyline right from the start. The usual cast of characters returns including Jo Jo, Finn and Bria, but my heart broke and the tears fell when Owen could not accept the truth about the past, even when the results could have been fatal for the woman that he loves. Owen’s denial of the past and his refusal to let go of the shattered memories and times long ago, sets up a scenario that I am not sure I will enjoy. You can’t save someone who doesn’t want to be saved. I am looking forward to DEADLY STING in 2013.

Monique Martin-Interview and Giveaway with the Author

Monique Martin-Interview and Giveaway with the Author

Today, The Reading Cafe welcomes fantasy author MONIQUE MARTIN

TRC: Hi Monique and welcome to The Reading Café. Congratulations on the release of your third novel in the Out of Time series-FRAGMENTS. We would like to start with some background information. Would you please tell us something about yourself?

LINK to Monique Martin’s Website

Monique:  Hi and thanks for having me. I was one of those annoying kids who insisted on reading Nancy Drew out loud to the family on long road trips. (Imagine the points I scored with my older brother; I still have the scars.) I loved books and movies and TV. I was always writing goofy little stories like The Case of the Missing Underwear and later, during the joys of puberty, fanfic of my adventures with the Dukes of Hazard and my very own episode of the Love Boat. Aspire to greatness! The shame…

For some reason, I got it into my head that I wanted to be an actress and gave up writing until college. (I even auditioned for the part of Mallory on Family Ties. Yeah. Didn’t get it.) At university, I majored in filmic writing and pursued that for several years before eventually being sucked into the vortex of a struggling family business.

TRC: Your bio states that you worked in television for several years-would we know any of the TV shows that you are connected (with)?

Monique: I was lucky enough to work as an assistant to one of the writer/producers and eventually become post-production coordinator for Murder, She Wrote and In the Heat of the Night. Working on the Universal Studios lot was even more fun than it sounds. I got to have lunch on the steps of the Psycho house!

TRC: You have a degree in BFA in the Filmic Writing department. Do you feel that your education has helped with your writing style?

Monique: Absolutely. Part of me still feels like I’m writing screenplays in prose form. That’s both good and bad, but mostly good. I hope. I know that my education gave me a terrific sense of story structure and plot. Screenplay format is very “just the facts”. Being allowed to wax on is both a gift and curse. I’m still learning. I hope I never stop.

TRC: What do you feel is your particular writing style and what does it say about you?

Monique: Good question. I’ve always been a “Jack of Trades, Master of None” sort of person and I think that comes across in my writing. It’s a mishmash of styles and genres. Hopefully, there’s enough of each to please or at least the strange lovechild that comes out is appealing. What that says about me? I’m not sure. I didn’t really set out to have a style and I really haven’t thought much about what style I might have, hence my tap-dancing around this question. *jazz hands*

TRC: Currently you have written three books in your Out of Time series? Would you please tell us about the premise of the series?

Monique: The books are part romance, part time travel and part mystery. The basic setup is that Professor Simon Cross, a sexy, broody British professor of the occult who sees the glass as half empty falls in love with his fun-loving, charming assistant, Elizabeth West, who sees it as half full. The two of them travel back in time, at first by accident, and later by choice where they fall in love, solve mysteries and work to set things right.

TRC: OUT OF TIME is the first book in the series. Would you please tell us about the premise?

LINKS TO ORDER
Amazon Paper Books
Amazon Kindle
B&N Paper Books
The Book Depository

Monique: The premise is that love is the most powerful thing on earth; it can provide redemption, conquer fear and no one can ever take it from you.
My hero, Professor Simon Cross, has spent his life searching for proof of the occult that will clear his grandfather’s name and avoiding emotional entanglements. A mysterious accident transports Simon and his assistant, Elizabeth West, back in time, to 1929 New York City where Simon finally finds both the proof that he’s been looking for, and the romance that he hasn’t. Wackiness ensues. Maybe not wackiness, but adventure, romance and a little dab of the paranormal.

TRC: What challenges did you face writing this series e.g logistics, research, historical accuracy?

Monique: I love research. Too much. It’s far too easy for me to get caught up in the minutia of a time period because it’s so damn interesting, but, in the end, isn’t vital to the story. I try to be as accurate with the time period and location as I can. I think it’s so much fun to see history at “ground level”, so to speak. I use books, films, photographs and phone calls to various museums and historical groups to make sure my history is accurate. Immersing the characters and the readers in the setting is half the fun!

One of the difficulties in writing time travel is the inevitable paradox. It gives me a headache. All you can really do is establish a set of rules and stick to them as best you can. Paradoxes be damned!

TRC: FRAGMENTS is your latest instalment in the Out of Time series. Would you please tell us about the premise?

LINKS TO ORDER:
Amazon Kindle
Amazon Paper books
B&N Paper Books

Monique: I suppose the premise is that you can go home again, but you don’t have to! Or, more to the actual point, as Kennedy or Churchill said depending on whom you believe, “A man does what he must–in spite of personal consequences, in spite of obstacles and danger and pressure–and that is the basis of all morality.”

In Fragments, Simon and Elizabeth are drawn back to 1942 war-torn London to save a fellow time-traveler. In the midst of rescuing him, they realize something far bigger is afoot. A mysterious artifact that could change the outcome of the war is missing and the Nazis will do anything to find it. Simon and Elizabeth risk their lives to find it first.

TRC: I must commend your writing on the romance between Simon and Elizabeth. The sensuality of Simon’s love for Elizabeth is almost palpable, yet in Fragments, there is very little one on one time due to the nature of the storyline. Will we see their relationship, once again, brought to the forefront of a future storyline?

Monique: Thank you! My friends and I call him Sighmon for a reason. *sigh* It’s true; the story in Fragments didn’t lend itself to much romantic time. Although, I hope there’s enough to satisfy. I do plan on increasing the romance quotient in book 4. It’s always a balancing act. The mystery/adventure has become more important as Simon and Elizabeth’s relationship has steadied. But, there’s always room for love. I have plans to bring that a bit more to the fore in book 4.

TRC: Um, without giving away too much about Fragments ending, will the visitor from the past, remain in the future with a possible story to tell?

Monique: I can say that he does not return to his own time. He will play a role in book 4 and might have a book or two of his own in the future (ours and his). 😉

TRC: How many books do you have planned for the series?

Monique: It’s an open-ended series, which is writer-speak for I have no idea! I have lots of stories that I’d love to tell for future books. I love writing Simon and Elizabeth and could easily see three or four more books.

TRC: What challenges or difficulties have you faced as a writer?

Monique: Trusting myself. I think anyone who does anything creative knows what I mean. You’re your own worst enemy. It’s an emotional roller coaster. Having faith in your ability, day after day, especially in the vacuum that writing often is, is the hardest part. The other big challenge is finding an audience. As an indie, I don’t have a marketing department. I’m it. Getting exposure is an enormous challenge.

TRC: Writer’s Block is a very real phenomenon for many authors. How do you handle the pressure and anxiety of writer’s block?

Monique: I cry a little, and then mope. Seriously though, it is a very real thing and can be paralyzing. I don’t have any magic bullet. I know, for me, sometimes I just need to step away from it. Stop trying so hard and do something else. Read. Go the movies. Clean the house. Sometimes, just shifting gears and writing something else works. A trick I learned recently is to write what wouldn’t/couldn’t happen next. Surprisingly, that can get the juices flowing again. Also, it helps to have friends who are writers, who understand, and can lend an ear and then kick you in the pants when the time is right.

TRC: Many authors bounce ideas between other authors, and family and friends. With whom do you bounce ideas?

Monique: I’m a very talky writer. Some of my friends go into the bat cave and emerge with a book. Not me. I love, need, to talk about it. I bounce ideas of friends and family, especially my mom and dad. My mom is a voracious reader and my dad is a terrific editor, and they’re both very supportive. I also have a long-time friend, Robin, who helps me explore ideas without any fear of looking like an ass. That’s a gift!

TRC: On what are you currently working?

Monique: I’m currently working on a literary fiction novella and book 4 in the Out of Time series. I’m in the research mode and loving it. It’s like getting paid to learn stuff. How awesome is that?

TRC: Would you like to add anything else?

Monique: I just want to thank you and your readers for giving me this opportunity. There are so many talented writers out there and fabulous books, I’m honored you’ve given me the chance to show you a little bit about my books and me.

Fragments (Out of Time #3) by Monique Martin-a review

FRAGMENTS (Out of Time #3) by Monique Martin-a review

FRAGMENTS (Out of Time #3) by Monique Martin

FRAGMENTS is the third instalment (June 2012 release)  in Monique Martin’s Out of Time series featuring the time travel adventures of Sir Simon Cross and his lady love Elizabeth West. This time, Elizabeth has made a plea with Simon to travel back to war-torn 1942 England in search of a missing member from the Council for Temporal Studies. Knowing the man never returned from a 1906 mission, Elizabeth and Simon will find Evan Eldridge’s photograph in a picture dated from 1942.

Simon was taking Elizabeth back to England to meet his Aunt Victoria, but like many estranged family members, Simon’s anxiety level rose exponentially as the couple’s journey was reaching its’ destination. Knowing the visit would not end well, Simon finally agreed to travel back to 1942 to find the missing man and return him to his own time period. But preparations for a war-ravaged London, England did not prepare themselves for the very real possibility that their presence and investigation would bring them into contact with British Intelligence, the German SS, a military sector of M15 and an America spy named Jack Wells and his British counter-part Blake. But during war, no one is ever who they claim to be.

Evan’s mysterious disappearance continued to baffle Elizabeth and Simon, especially when they finally locate and get permission to visit. Finding Evan in a military hospital under armed guards would throw the couple into a deadly game of espionage and intrigue. Evan’s body and mind were on a slow road to recovery following a massive head injury and bout with pneumonia, and his mind at times tended to wander. But a whisper of cryptic words would send Elizabeth and Simon on a search for the final missing Shard, that not only did the US and British Intelligence want, but the German SS and the Nazi regime. The mythological history surrounding the ancient sword and it’s many broken shards, was a tale that the Nazi’s were willing to prove true.

Simon’s love for Elizabeth is the stuff of fairy tales, and throughout the story his plans to ask her to marry him were continually thwarted and interrupted by a series of events and the continuing saga of war. Once again, I can only hope that there are real men who feel the same about the women in their lives as Simon feels for Elizabeth. Monique’s handling of their relationship is beautiful, but in this particular storyline, their romance and love scenes are few and rare. And Monique’s ability to weave humor into their adventure can only be explained by Zog- good luck to any child with a name like Zog.

Monique’s description of 1942 London England adds to the depth and passion of the storyline as the search for a missing man and the missing shard takes the couple to many of the buildings that will suffer at the hands of the German bombers. From a quiet secluded English countryside to the nightly black-outs in a city hoping to survive another day during the war, FRAGMENTS takes the reader on an adventure- a time warp of sorts- and one that will keep you guessing til the end. And of course, back to the future has a whole new meaning, when Simon and Elizabeth bring someone from the past back to the present.

When The Walls Fell (Out of Time #2) by Monique Martin-a review

WHEN THE WALLS FELL” by Monique Martin

“WHEN THE WALLS FELL” is a sequel of Monique Martin’s Out of Time Series.  Bringing about another dangerous assignment for Professor Simon Cross and his assistant, Elizabeth West, as they yet again traveled back in time.

Just a few months after returning home from their first accidental time-travel, and the discovery of their new formed relationship, The Council for Temporal Studies needed Simon and Elizabeth to travel back to the Easter Week of 1906 in order to save a present time-traveler Council member, Charles Graham…and possibly the entire council members in the process. Someone is viciously out for revenge and has planned to alter history with the murder of Victor Graham. Simon and Elizabeth must find out the potential assassins and their motives to prevent the murder of Victor and return home before the disastrous earthquake that hit San Francisco in April 9th, 1906.

Simon’s distrust of The Council had him refusing the assignment in the first place. For Elizabeth though, needing to protect Simon’s future and because she loves the bloody Brit, readily accepted and time traveled alone with only The Councils prepared instructions. Simon wasn’t too far behind as he decided to follow through with the task. Knowing Elizabeth’s luck with bad situations, he wasn’t about let her go alone no matter what. This time he was going in well prepared with money, and title for quicker acceptance in its society…and the fastest way to finding Elizabeth and Victor Graham.

The hour is coming to a close and both Simon and Elizabeth are finding it harder to solving the mystery.

Monique Martin mixes a special blend of mystery and suspense, with a touch of paranormal and a good dash of witticism. In addition there is a sweeter romance as Simon and Elizabeth tackle one of the most important aspects in their new relationship. We are also introduced to other fun characters in this story, one of whom was the founding father of the travel watch, of which, The Council members are currently using to time-travel. Though it looks like they will not be having a story of their own, but will have been fun to see them again in future books.
