Reunited for the Billionaire's LegacyAmazon / Barnes & Noble / Kobo / BAM / The Book Depository

Description:
Diana Taylor’s marriage to playboy Coburn Grant was short, passionate and blazed brightly until the reality of their different worlds set in. Now, years later, Coburn has finally agreed to a divorce. Except one last pleasurable night together seals their fate—with a baby!

Diana knows Coburn will never sign the papers now—he will have his wife and child. And, whisked away to a tropical island paradise, it’s increasingly difficult to ignore their primal hunger for each other. With his legacy growing inside her, can Diana deny the one man she could never resist?

Review:

As Coburn Grant prepares to offer up a toast at a friend’s wedding, the last person he ever expects to see walks in………his soon to be ex-wife, Diana. Needless to say, he didn’t deliver the toast he had prepared. Instead he issued a toast wrought with warnings about love not being enough and to be very sure about what they’re getting into. He then wishes the couple well, and leaves. He had no idea that Diana would follow.

When Diana confronts him at his apartment, things heat up to the point where Coburn thinks that one last roll in the hay will rid him of what he feels for Diana and get her out of his system. Diana knows that she’s made a huge mistake afterwards and practically runs out of his apartment. She has a few weeks before she leaves New York for Africa, where she has accepted a position with Doctors Without Borders. There, she feels that she can finally do something meaningful as a pediatric surgeon and not be in her father’s shadow, who is a world renowned orthopedic surgeon. She also wouldn’t have to worry about running into Coburn. However, when she shows up the next morning for her meeting with Coburn and his attorney to finalize their divorce, she finds that Coburn has changed his mind, and won’t sign the papers. Furious, she leaves and heads home.

Diana only has a few weeks before she leaves for Africa. But during those weeks, she discovers that their last time together not only broke her heart, but left her pregnant as well. She makes the decision to go to Africa, get her head on straight and then let Coburn know that they’re going to have a baby. When Coburn receives a call from Diana’s doctor’s office,(Diana hadn’t changed her contact info), he discovers she’s pregnant and she left the country anyway.

Coburn flies to Africa and Diana is surprised to find him at her hotel when she got back that particular night. She gives in and leaves with him. She knows she’s in over her head with being pregnant and not feeling well in a third world country, and heads home. Only when they are about to land does she discover that she’s not actually being taken home, but to some remote island where Coburn vows that they WILL work out what’s between them for the sake of the baby. But, can Diana stay with someone who only wants things to work out for the good of their unborn child and live without love? Well my friends, you’ll just have to read to find out……..And, oh, what a read it is!

Jennifer Hayward has once again written a wonderful story that grabs you from the very first. Diana wants so bad to be independent and make her own way in the world, but her father constantly overshadows her. She is also so afraid of being in a marriage that is in name only, just like her parents. The same can be said of Coburn. He feels that he’s never going to be able to live up to his brother’s expectations, let alone live up to their dead father’s legacy. Once Diana and Coburn decide to really try to work things out, what follows will break your heart and ultimately have you cheering for them both. Reunited for the Billionaire’s Legacy is ultimately a book about letting go of preconceived notions, and your past, to see what can truly be. I’ll say it again. If you’re not reading Jennifer Hayward, you are seriously missing out. And, again, I’d read a phonebook written by Jennifer Hayward. There are no wasted words, no repetitiveness, (which is becoming an issue with several authors that I read) which leaves a beautiful story. Well done, Jennifer Hayward. Very, very well done!

a wife in every senseAmazon / Barnes & Noble / Kobo / BAM

Description:
Kate Burrows is crushing on her boss big time. Aleksei Aleksanou is tall, dark, and every inch the image of a classic Greek god—if said Greek god was incredibly sexy, rich, and a complete player. Aleksei is furious when Kate arrives on the small Greek island of Naxea and tries to hide the truth for him. He takes matters into his own hands—by announcing the pregnancy to his family and asking her to marry him. Now Kate must decide if she can marry the man of her hottest, sexiest dreams…knowing she will never be the wife of his heart.

Review:

I really enjoyed A Wife in Every Sense by Joanne Walsh. I read this in an afternoon.

Aleksei Aleksanou is an extremely wealthy businessman, and a womanizer with commitment issues.

Kate Burrows, is his very capable and witty assistant. Kate doesn’t date because she is unable to trust a man with her heart.

Aleksei and Kate have worked well together for the past two years, while harbouring their true feelings for each other. In the end Kate can’t take anymore, as she watches an endless procession of women come and go through Aleksei’s world, so she decides to quit her job and backpack through a few countries with her friend. But before she goes, she does the one thing she has always dreamed of doing, she spends the night with Aleksei.

They accidentally bump into each other in Greece, and Aleksei realises that Kate is hiding something from him. When he finds out what it is, then watch the fireworks.

Will he believe that Kate didn’t set out to trap him ?

Will Kate believe that he wants a family, and he wants to commit?

This was a well written book. I love traveling through the countryside; the descriptions almost put you there. And I did enjoy the connection between Kate and Aleksei.

Yes it was going the way we all thought it would, but I didn’t care, I’m not one for cliffhangers, and I LOVE my happy endings.

•••••••••••••

REVIEW: UNDER MY SKIN is the third installment in J. Kenner’s contemporary, adult Stark International erotic romance series focusing on billionaire architect Jackson Steele, and personal assistant Sylvia Brooks. The Stark International Trilogy is a spin off from J. Kenner’s Stark Trilogy (Damien and Nikki Stark). UNDER MY SKIN should not be read as a stand alone as the storyline is the culmination of the events from the previous two installments.

NOTE: If you have not read the first two installments in The Stark International Trilogy, my review may contain some spoilers.

Told from first person point of view Sylvia, as well as some third person perspectives UNDER MY SKIN picks up immediately upon the events of book two ON MY KNEES where Jackson Steele has been implicated in the death of Robert Cabot Reed-the man threatening blackmail against our storyline couple. While Jackson and his defense team struggle with the realization that Jackson could go to jail for a murder he did not commit, Sylvia battles the demons from her past when her father requests a few minutes with the daughter whose life he destroyed years before.

UNDER MY SKIN is the fulfillment of three storylines that follow the building relationship between Jackson and Sylvia, and the lengths to which someone will go to protect the people that he or she loves. The back and forth, push and pull of Sylvia and Jackson’s co-dependency upon one another is a virtual minefield of personal walls and private fears. Jackson’s need for Sylvia borders on obsession as his sexual urges, and quick temper finds our hero in a constant state of arousal whenever the world begins to implode around him. Sylvia is a woman in love with a man who would do anything to protect the people that he loves, and in this Sylvia is unsure as to Jackson’s innocence or guilt in the death of the man trying to destroy Sylvia’s life-a second time around.

There are a couple of secondary storylines that take some of the focus off of Jackson’s murder suspicion. The construction of Damien Stark’s Cortez Island Resort has hit a couple of walls including malicious damage meant to frighten any prospective investors. It is the Cortez Island project that brought Jackson and Sylvia back together following a five year separation. Jackson’s desperation to bring Ronnie into his home and his life finds our storyline couple at odds as how to proceed with the future.

The murder conflict resolution and reveal was a foregone conclusion as the information and premise pointed to the guilty party in book two-ON MY KNEES-but the author chose to prolong the declaration while building up the mystery and suspense using Jackson Steele’s temper as a means to point suspicion in the storyline hero’s direction. The murderer was painfully obvious and yet the main characters, never once, questioned the possibility or looked in another direction.

The $ex scenes are numerous, repetitive and graphic; provocative and intense. Jackson and Sylvia use $ex as a distraction; a means to hide from their problems, and bury their emotions with hot, aggressive $ex. J. Kenner’s use of strong language leaves nothing to the imagination. I did have an issue with the author’s need to use a certain four-letter word (in most of her books) that I find unnecessary. In my opinion, there is nothing remotely romantic or sexually stimulating with its usage.

UNDER MY SKIN revisits many of the previous events; recapping history and backstory so that the reader’s memory is ‘tweaked’ about what was happening and why. I applaud the authors who revisit and recap, if only for my own satisfaction and flashbacks. Many readers like to reconstruct what happened in order to stay on top of the current story timeline.

J. Kenner’s STARK INTERNATIONAL TRILOGY concludes with a look to the future; the happily ever after; and the potential for a novella or two to update the reader on Jackson and Sylvia’s life. UNDER MY SKIN focuses on dysfunctional family issues; heartbreak and betrayal; letting go and moving on. Sometimes there is no forgiveness for the events of the past, but there is always a chance for a better future.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date June 23, 2015

Jackson Steele and Sylvia Brooks continue to thrill in the second novel of a scintillating, emotionally charged new trilogy that returns to the world of J. Kenner’s beloved Stark novels: Release Me, Claim Me, and Complete Me.

I never thought I’d lose control, but his desire took me right to the edge.

Powerful, ambitious, and devastatingly sexy, Jackson Steele was unlike any other man I’d ever known. He went after what he wanted with his whole mind, body, and soul—and I was the woman in his sights. One touch and I surrendered, one night together and I was undone.

Jackson and I had secrets, dark pieces of our pasts that threatened to swallow us both. We couldn’t outrun our demons, or the people trying to tear us apart. But in our passion we found salvation, and in each other’s arms we found release.

I was scared to trust Jackson fully, to finally let go. Yet no matter the dangers that lay ahead, I knew I was his—and now that we’ve laid claim, there’s no more holding back.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date August 31, 2015

Firefighter Gage Simpson has it all: the job of his dreams, the family of his heart, and no shortage of hot guys lining up to share his bed. “Fun and easy” is his motto—and it’s kept him sunny through a painful upbringing and steered him away from trouble. But when trouble comes knocking in the form of a sexy, scarred, tattooed chef with a harrowing past and zero communication skills, Gage can’t help but be drawn to the flame.

Brady Smith isn’t fun. And easy isn’t in his vocabulary. When cocky Gage swaggers into his restaurant kitchen, the former Marine-turned-five-star-chef is blindsided by the firefighter’s beauty. Then confused that this golden guy with the sparkling blue eyes and the body of a god might be interested in him. As desire flares and temperatures rise, Gage and Brady will have to figure out if the heat between them is just a temporary flash—or the beginning of something real.

•••••••••••

REVIEW: MELTING POINT is the second installment (and novella) in Kate Meader’s contemporary, adult Hot in Chicago erotic romance series focusing on the men and women in uniform of the Chicago Police and Fire Departments. This is executive chef and Marine veteran Brady Smith, and twenty four year old firefighter and model Gage Simpson’s storyline.

NOTE: MELTING POINT contains graphic scenes of M/M sexual imagery, and is recommended for readers 18+.

Told from dual third person perspectives MELTING POINT focuses on the building relationship between Gage and Brady. Brady is a former Marine whose physical and emotional scars are the stuff of nightmares, survivor’s guilt and PTSD. His attraction to sexy firefighter Gage Simpson places Brady in a tenuous position as he is unable to bear the pity and touch of another human being. But Gage is a man who isn’t afraid to go for what he wants, and Gage wants Brady in his bed and in his life. What ensues is Gage’s seduction of Brady Smith breaking down the barriers both of our storyline heroes have erected to protect their hearts and their souls. When Brady gets injured while out on his bike, Gage places himself as nurse and protector for the man who calls to his heart.

The relationship between Gage and Brady is one of immediate attraction. Our leading couple met in the previous storyline (Flirting With Fire #1) where Gage’s attraction to Brady was met with rejection and incredulity. Brady is unable to understand Gage’s attraction to his emotionally damaged mind and scarred-up body; Brady had issues of intimacy and touch; and in this Brady believes that their sexual relationship has a time limit until Gage finds someone better. Gage isn’t looking for a one-night stand but he is a man who is looking for lots of hot and sweaty $ex. The $ex scenes are erotic, intense, passionate and graphic.

The world building pulled the focus of the storyline away from the Fire Department and into the bedroom of its two leading characters. Although we get a quick glimpse into Gage’s kitchen ability with the CPD, there was only a quick reference to firefighting. Where Flirting With Fire (book 1) introduced the leading players in Kate Meader’s HOT IN CHICAGO series, MELTING POINT kept its focus on the two storyline characters. We are re-introduced to Mayor Eli Cooper whose history with Chef Brady Smith goes beyond friendship-he has first hand knowledge of the hell Brady endured in an Afghanistan prison, and he is hoping to play matchmaker between Brady and Gage.

MELTING POINT is a fast paced storyline that focuses on recovery and letting go of the past-not just for Brady Smith but for Gage as well. There are moments of heartbreak for two men whose earlier years were filled with pain and betrayal; and the growing tenderness as they learn to love and trust one another-in the here and now. Kate Meader blends a little bit of fire with a whole lot of heat as one of Chicago’s finest finds his happily ever after.

About the book: Release Date March 24, 2015

Savvy PR guru Kinsey Taylor has always defined herself by her career, not her gender. That is, until she moved from San Francisco to Chicago to be with her fiancé who thought she wasn’t taking her “job” of supporting him in his high-powered career seriously enough—and promptly dumped her for a more supportive and “feminine” nurse. Now, as the new assistant press secretary to Chicago’s dynamic mayor, she’s determined to keep her eye on the prize: no time to feel inferior because she’s a strong, kick-ass woman, and certainly no time for men.

But that all changes when she meets Luke Almeida, a firefighter as searingly sexy as he is quick-tempered. He’s also the second oldest of the Firefightin’ Dempseys, a family of foster siblings who have committed their lives to the service—if Luke’s antics don’t get him fired first. When Luke goes one step too far and gets into a bar brawl with the Chicago Police Department, Kinsey marches into Luke’s firehouse and lays down the law on orders from the mayor. ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date July 24, 2015

All alone in a new state, Brennan Daniels has only the memories of her best friend, Reagan, to keep her company as she starts college.

Reagan is the reason for everything Brennan does—before she died, she made Brennan promise to stay good until she found a man worth keeping. No boys, no dating, and definitely no falling in love—those were the rules for college, and Brennan carved them into the brick walls guarding her heart…

But there’s a fire burning behind those walls, and when Brennan meets Owen Scott, the (mysterious) new guy across the hall, she can’t deny the pull between them. He is everything she should never want. Everyone warns her to stay away—even Owen himself—but the heart wants what the heart wants, even if it knows that it’s going to get hurt—even if it means throwing old promises to new flames…

•••••••••••••••••

REVIEW: Reading this book has made me think about my senior quote for the yearbook which was a quote from Pope John Paul II. The quote was, “The worse prison is a closed heart.” I chose such a quote because I figured going into adulthood wasn’t going to be an easy journey and that when life gets hard, keep your heart open to those who love you that the journey should not be traveled alone. To slam the door and shut people out is a loneliness that no one should ever subject themselves to especially one as young as our main character, Brennan.

Brennan lost her best friend in a tragic accident that left Brennan closed off from everyone no matter how much everyone tries to be there for her. I admit that Brennan may have annoyed me with the extent of how hard she pushed others away throughout the book but I was impressed with how much she changed as the story progressed. That she allowed herself to truly grieve the loss on top of being able to break her silence on what happened. Being there through her journey to recovery was a treat in itself.

The real turning point I enjoyed was when Brennan went home for Christmas with Owen in tow. It was hilarious on so many levels when Brennan’s three older brothers gave Owen a hard time, what with older brothers being protective of their little sister. It was a good thing that Owen was a good sport about it. Christmas was really when both Brennan and Owen finally let their walls down to give their relationship a try which was a huge relief because half the book was pretty much a hot and cold dance with the two.

All in all, I felt this was one of Brandy’s more serious and personal novels. For those going through a bad loss or unable to let people in, this book is a comforting balm to your soul. This book tugs on the heartstrings as everyone is fighting their own battles in the book yet find love and comfort with each other. This book has a lot of secrets that come out in the end as well as much needed closure for Brennan’s loss. This is the chicken soup for the grieving soul and one I would recommend everyone to read.

It’s a Wonderful Wife
Sinclair Brothers series – Book #3
by Janet Chapman
Release Date: August 25, 2015

It's a Wonderful WifeAmazon / Barnes & Noble / Kobo / BAM / The Book Depository

Description:
Jesse Sinclair and his two brothers spent years dodging the women his grandfather threw in their path. But then the matchmaking old wolf died, and his brothers did the unthinkable: they ran off to Maine to get married.

Now Jesse wants to join them. Convinced the Pine Tree State must have another eligible woman to spare, he buys a small island just off Castle Cove to build a home for his future family. But as he discovers, finding the woman of your dreams isn’t as easy as his brothers made it seem. First of all, the only woman capable of filling those wedding shoes is Cadi Glace—and unfortunately, she’s already engaged…

So imagine Jesse’s surprise when he finds the aforementioned Miss Glace hiding out in his camper, charmingly, adorably drunk. And apparently single….

Review:

It’s a Wonderful Wife, written by Janet Chapman, is the third installment into the Sinclair Brothers trilogy.   I am a seasoned reader of Ms. Chapman, and have been a long time fan of her work, dating back to The Highlander series.  Admittedly, this is the first “normal” novel that I have read from this author.  In addition, I have not had the pleasure of reading the first two stories from this trilogy.  As I have come to understand, the story arc of the series revolves around three brothers hell bent on remaining bachelors, despite the matchmaking attempts of their quirky Grandfather.  When their Grandfather passes, the brothers are forced to reevaluate their lives.  Two of these brothers have already fallen hard….and now it is Jesse Sinclair’s turn.

What I have come to expect of a Janet Chapman novel over the years, is a fast paced, well developed plot.  Witty, and original dialogue between main, and secondary characters alike.  I expect sparks between the hero and heroine to fly off the pages.  The beautiful backdrop of Maine, leaves a reader feeling utterly transported by the vibrancy of this authors descriptions.  I have discovered years of reading enjoyment among the pages of a Janet Chapman novel, and would recommend every title released to any, and all types of readers.

I found It’s a Wonderful Wife specifically, to be relatively solid standing alone.  I did not experience an abundance of confusion, despite being a newcomer to the trilogy.  Yet I struggled connecting to the characters of Jesse, and Cadi, in comparrison to the couples who have come before them.   I missed that chemistry, and magical feel I have come to rely on for a “feel good” read.   I truly believe that people whom are familiar with the first two Sinclair stories, will have an easier time finding that feeling, and cast blame for the disconnect I felt, solely upon reading Book 3-without first reading the previous installments.

One element remains ever constant.  Ms. Chapman is a master at weaving humor within her stories.  Time after time, book after book, this author provides laugh out loud banter, mixed with compromising, relate-able, and hilarious moments for her characters.  Highly recommended, for anyone looking for a fast paced, humorous journey, located within the beauty of Maine!

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 1, 2015

Chelsea’s hottie Blake Morgan III has reemerged from a nasty breakup. His marriage was a frigid disaster beyond repair, and he vows to be single—forever. Bruised, but still hot in Prada, he creates his Seven Desires wish list, his sexiest imaginings. Blake soon realizes there’s only one man he may trust to make these uninhibited intentions come to fruition: his best friend Miguel Santana.

Lower East Side multimedia artist extraordinaire Miguel Santana may be known as the cocky Latin stud in the city, but all he’s wanted since college was Blake’s hand in marriage. He was livid when Blake walked down the aisle with the wrong guy. Miguel has his own list titled the Seven Needs, which are quite contrary to Blake’s dirty-boy deeds. They involve serious commitments, which may leave his new-to-the-singles-scene buddy sprinting for the door, destroying any hopes Miguel has for happiness.

Can these two hunks conquer their intimate fears and love one another as only best friends can? Join the star-studded cast in The Manhattanites series and see for yourself!

••••••••

NOTE: UNSAID is an extremely explicit and sexually graphic storyline of erotica with M/M sexual situations. Some scenes may not be suitable for all readers.

REVIEW: UNSAID is the third installment in Avery Aster’s contemporary, adult The Manhattanites erotica, romance series focusing on a tight knit group of friends in Manhattan burb of Chelsea in New York City. This is magazine editor Blake Morgan III, and artist Miguel Santana’s second chance storyline-a friends to lovers tale of unrequited love and a decade of regrets. UNSAID can be read as a stand alone although each installment builds upon the previous storyline’s premise.

Told from several third person points of view UNSAID is an ensemble story with several intersecting storylines and premises. Blake’s recent divorce has left our hero lost and broken; his past is darkened with dangerous secrets that find Blake hiding in plain sight from the man who all but destroyed his life. Enter Miguel Santana, a dominant and Blake’s one-time best friend, and the man who has loved Blake from afar. Blake is oblivious to Miguel’s feelings, but will accept everything Miguel has to offer even if he has to venture outside of his comfort zone with $ex and submission.

Throughout the storyline we are witness to Vive’s spiral into the abyss. Vive is besties with most of the series characters and has had issues with addiction in the past. But Vive’s drinking is out of control and she isn’t afraid to hold back when everyone else’s life moves forward as she continues to struggle with the past.

Lex and Massimo’s (Unscrupulous #1) upcoming nuptials have hit a bump in the road. While their friend’s lives begin to implode, Lex and Masi receive news of a different kind that has Lex questioning the present and the future.

UNSAID is a sexually graphic storyline wherein nothing is off limits between consenting adults but I want to point out that some of the consent is ‘dubious’; the acceptance of what was occurs after the fact; our hero Blake is a submissive but is unsure what it is he wants from the man with whom he has fallen in love. Miguel pushes the limits of Blake’s comfort and in this, there are some questionable scenes of dominance and submission.

THE MANHATTANITES, and thusly UNSAID is a character driven series that focuses on friendships, addictions, lovers and kink. Avery Aster will push your comfort level with Miguel’s need to dominate the man that he loves when said man isn’t aware of his need to be dominated. Emotions run high throughout the storyline; Avery Aster isn’t afraid to tell it like it is.

excerpt

NOTE: Excerpt is recommend for 18years and older due to sexually graphic content

He went over and peeled his nylon sweats off as Miguel watched, then dropped to his knees on the mattress. Game on. He lowered his shoulders and crawled forward, palms out as a panther approaching a meal. Hungry, reaching for his friend’s cock with his right
hand, Blake stroked his shaft with his left. He witnessed his friend’s eyes roll back in pleasure. Other than his own, he hadn’t held a cock in his hands in years. Miguel’s pink head deserved his attention. A little freaked out by how easy this was, by how natural it
felt, Blake tried to stay calm and just go with it.
Miguel moaned louder in Spanish then ordered, “You’re going to be a good niño and suck my cock.”
Nodding in agreement, he asked, “And then?”
“Don’t use your hands.” Cupping his fingers around Blake’s jawline, Miguel brushed his thumb over his lips.
“I’ll keep my hands behind my back.” He clasped his palms by the floor.
“Once I’m nice and hard, I’m gonna face-fuck you, hard.” He glanced down at his dick. “When I come, you’ll swallow me—whole, understand?”
“Is there anything else, boss man?” He pretended he’d swallow, but would spit it out, like they did in adult films. Yes, that was what he’d do. Or take it on his chest, or maybe his face. Maybe.
Miguel rested himself on the mattress. “Get started.”
Supercharged with enthusiasm, he leaned forward and nipped at Miguel’s dick. He ran his tongue in long strokes along his shaft. Spice, sweet and exotic, enveloped his senses. By far the biggest he’d seen, the dick was thick, too. Licking under the shaft, he
produced enough lube to do his duty.
“Taste good?”
“Ah-huh…” He couldn’t believe he was doing this.
“Let me watch you. Take me. Come on, boy.”
First, his lips glided down. The satiny penis head hit the roof of his mouth. He opened wider. A dive down further pressed his face all the way up against the crotch. The black pubes tickled his cheeks.
“Doing good, boy.”
The cock twitched and slid in more. Deeper. Careful not to scrape the skin, his two front teeth rested at the base of his dick.
He looked up at his Latin God with a grin.
Miguel blew him a kiss and seduced Blake to continue. As their playfulness increased, he wondered for a split second what else he’d do for his best friend.
His tongue laced the nuts as he took him in further. Still nervous to pump the dick with his mouth, he continued to suck, sweetly. His nostrils burned. He thirsted for more.
“Fuck!” Miguel shouted. “Take my entire cock, chico guapo.” He pressed his body against Blake’s face. “Caliente.”
He jerked back.
His top became more fired up.

REVIEW: UNSCRUPULOUS is the first instalment and prequel storyline in Avery Aster’s contemporary, erotic series focusing on four best friends (ala Sex in the City). This is Tabitha (Taddy) Brill and hotel billionaire Warner Truman’s story.

The focus of the story follows successful public relations consultant Taddy Brill and the man who will eventually steal her heart. The reader is jetted around the world from Manhattan to Portugal to Cannes and home. As the owner of Brill, Inc, Taddy is thrust into the world of the rich and famous; up and coming; and wanna-be stars of today and tomorrow but it is a world with which she is all too familiar. But one thing is missing in Taddy’s life and that is love; the love of family. Her best friends Vive, Lexie and Blake have always been there for her and without their support Taddy would be lost. Her friends are her family and she isn’t willing to let anyone get close enough to tear another hole in her heart. Enter uber rich and sexy Warner Truman and Taddy knows she could lose her heart and so much more.

The relationship between Warner and Taddy begins as a quick sexual encounter in Portugal that is interrupted before it has had a chance to begin. Several months later, Taddy will walk into Warner’s life once again, and this time he is not willing to let anything or anyone interfere in his plans. Taddy will be his and he will do everything to ensure that he never loses her again.

UNSCRUPULOUS is a story about friendship. Friends who are willing to go to the mat for you; have your back; and pay it forward. This is also a story about letting go of the hurt and pain of the past where children are nothing more than accessories in their parent’s lives and accessories that can be placed in a box and taken out only when necessary. This is also a story about finding the one person in your life that will always be there, no matter the demons that continue to knock at your door or call your phone.

Avery Aster writes a sexually erotic storyline with a little bit of humor; a lot of friends; and a travel agenda that will add those air miles to your frequent flyer card. I have enjoyed the series so far.

REVIEW:

NOTE: This series is not intended for anyone under the age if eighteen. The sex scenes are graphic; the language is strong.

UNDRESSED is the second storyline in Avery Aster’s new adult contemporary erotic The Manhattanites series focusing on the rich and powerful. This is Prince Masi and Lex Easton’s storyline.

Lex Easton owns her own line of casual clothing but when the fabric supplier suddenly backs out and refuses shipment, Lex makes an emergency trip to Milan only to discover that the infamous Prince Massimo Tittoni has withheld shipment for personal and business reasons. Knowing that this will probably bankrupt her company, Lex is willing to offer a compromise but Prince Masi offers a deal she will not refuse. But in the end, it may be Masi who loses more than he had bargained for.

Avery Aster weaves an erotic tale of sex and a struggle for power in an industry that changes its’ mind every few months. The heroine is willing to exchange sex to save her business and in this, the storyline begins an intricate dance of eroticism and the building of a relationship between two people who share more than a common interest in the world of fashion.

The secondary characters play integral roles in the storyline and each will have a story to tell. From Prince Masi’s driver, fashion designer and aide, to Lex’s BFFs who own and operate million dollar franchises. Avery Aster has spread the seeds for upcoming novels where, once again, the rich and powerful of Manhattan and Europe will meet in an exotic dance of sex and sensuality.

UNDRESSED is an erotic adventure where two people discover that keeping business and pleasure separate does not always work out they way they planned. Sometimes the heart falls harder when you finally realize that the one that got away, is the one who owns your soul.

RYKER (Cold Fury Hockey #4) by Sawyer Bennett – a review

Ryker

Amazon.com / Amazon.ca / B&N / KOBO / / BAM

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 8, 2015-

The stakes have never been higher for Carolina Cold Fury goalie Ryker Evans. With his contract running out, he’s got a year left to prove he’s still at the top of his game. And since his wife left him, Ryker has been balancing life as a pro-hockey star and a single parent to two daughters. Management is waiting for him to screw up. The fans are ready to pounce. Everybody’s taking dirty shots—except for the fiery redhead whose faith in Ryker gives him a fresh start.

As the league’s only female general manager, Gray Brannon has learned not to mix business with pleasure. And yet even this tough, talented career woman can’t help breaking her own rules as she gives Ryker everything she’s got. She hopes their hot streak will last forever, but with Ryker’s conniving ex plotting to reclaim her man, the pressure’s on Gray to step up and save a tender new love before it’s too late.

••••••••••••••••

REVIEW: RYKER is the fourth installment in Sawyer Bennett’s adult, contemporary Cold Fury Hockey erotic, romance series focusing on the Carolina Cold Fury professional hockey team. This is Cold Fury goalie and single father Ryker Evans, and Cold Fury’s general manager and former USA Olympic woman’s hockey team goalie Grayson Brannon’s storyline. RYKER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from previous storylines is revealed where necessary.

Told from alternating first person points of view (Ryker and Gray) RYKER follows the building relationship between Ryker and Gray-a forbidden love story that focuses on the trials and tribulations of the first female general manager in the NHL, and the length Ryker and Gray will go to to hide their relationship from the public and fellow team members. What ensues are a series of clandestine dinners and nights, and the growing animosity of some of the Cold Fury players towards their new general manager.

The relationship between Ryker and Gray is one of forbidden love. Ryker is a single father of two young girls whose soon-to be ex wife had an affair with Ryker’s former teammate. Gray is a never-married young woman whose abilities as general manager go above and beyond the norm. Ryker and Gray’s attraction to one another is immediate but Gray fears repercussions from the media and the team if their relationship should ever be made public-Gray hired Ryker as the new Cold Fury goalie and Ryker’s ability between the pipes has landed him the first string goalie position. The $ex scenes are erotic and intense; seductive and provocative.

The secondary and supporting characters include most of the previous storyline couples as well as Ryker’s two young daughters Violet and Ruby. Ryker’s ex makes an appearance to add conflict to his growing relationship with Gray; and there is also the requisite evil in the form of a team member whose hatred for the first female general manager is psychotic and insane.

The world building continues to focus on the team, the players, and the relationships of the Carolina Cold Fury professional hockey club. If you are a fan of hockey and the NHL, Sawyer’s muse (inspiration) for Ryker Evans is none other than Henry Lundqvist, goalie for the 2015 New York Rangers.

RYKER is a fast paced storyline where another member of the Cold Fury hockey team finds his happily ever after. The premise is engaging and realistic; the characters are colorful, energetic and opinionated; the romance is sexy and hot. There are moments of betrayal and revenge; friendship and family; moving forward and letting go. And I also like the fact that our heroine is strong enough in her abilities to not accept failure or listen to those trying to destroy her personal and professional career.

Sawyer Bennett’s writes with passion; she is devoted to her storylines and the characters we grow to love. COLD FURY HOCKEY is a phenomenal series –a go to read every time.
