ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date June 22, 2016

Meet the Bad Boys… Four sinfully sexy, fiercely loyal, uber alpha brothers about to fall head over heels for their leading ladies. If dirty talk, cursing, or raw, passionate sex turns you off, the After Dark books are not for you, because everything’s naughtier after dark.

In BAD BOYS AFTER DARK: MICK…
Amanda Jenner is done being a boring-man magnet and has finally taken control of her love life. As any smart paralegal would, she’s researched the hell out of how to seduce a man. She’s waxed, primped, and ready to put her newfound skills into action–and a masquerade bar crawl is the perfect venue for her solo coming-out party.

Entertainment attorney Mick Bad lives by two hard and fast rules. He never mixes business with pleasure, and he doesn’t do relationships, which makes the anonymity of a masquerade bar crawl the perfect place for a onetime hookup.

Amanda thinks she’s hit the jackpot when she bags a tall, dark, and sinfully delicious masked man–until she discovers the man she’s made out with is her off-limits boss. Mick’s already crossed a line he can never uncross, and one taste of sweet and sexy Amanda has only whet his appetite. When Mick offers to give Amanda a lesson in seduction–no strings, no regrets, and for goodness’ sake, come Monday, no quitting–the tables turn, and Mick’s totally unprepared for the lessons this sweet temptress provides.

REVIEW: BAD BOYS AFTER DARK: MICK is the first installment in Melissa Foster’s contemporary, adult BAD BOYS AFTER DARK erotic, romance series. This is attorney Mick Bad, and his office PA Amanda Jenner’s forbidden romance story line. Although not a spin off series, a number of characters cross over from some of Melissa’s other series including the ‘Wild Boys After Dark’, ‘Good Girls After Dark’, and her ‘Love in Bloom’ series.

NOTE: As this is an erotic romance story be aware that some sexual situations may not be suitable for all readers.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Mick and Amanda) BAD BOYS AFTER DARK follows the days and nights after two presumed strangers meet at a masquerade pub crawl. With the help of her sister Ally, Amanda sets out to seduce a stranger into a one-night stand. Little did she know that the man who caught her attention was none other than her boss-the man she has loved from afar for close to three years. What ensues is a weekend together-no strings attached- between Mick and Amanda where Mick teaches Amanda the art of seduction.

Mick has lusted after his PA for three long years but an office relationship is something Mick has never planned, or intended to cross the invisible line. He is a man destroyed by his past and the failed relationship of his parents, and in this he refuses to get attached or fall in love. Amanda is a woman determined to break out of her shell, and if the man with whom she has fallen in love barely acknowledges her existence, she is determined to get what she wants from a stranger in a bar. The $ex scenes are intimate, entertaining, and seductive. Mick is a man who knows how to pleasure a woman.

There are a large number of secondary and supporting characters that cross over from previous story lines and series including Amanda’s sister Ally and her fiancé Heath, as well as all of Mick’s brothers whose stories are the focus of future installments. Bar owner Dylan Bad, and sports agent Tiffany Winters’ story is next-BAD BOYS AFTER DARK: Dylan .

The world building focuses mainly on the relationship between Mick and Amanda. Our heroine’s thought processes as she tried desperately not to think about a future without the man that she loves; and Mick’s internal dialogue as he tried to convince himself he is not worthy of love.

BAD BOYS AFTER DARK: MICK is a sexy and provocative read. The premise is heartbreaking, emotional and intoxicating; the characters are passionate and engaging; the romance is intimate and breathtaking. Melissa Foster brings together familiar faces and names, memories and history wrapped up in a love story that was always meant to be.

ARE YOU READY TO GET CUFFED?

As a cop, Levi Kincaid is all about discipline and control . . .in the bedroom, and out of it, and he’s always been very careful about choosing women who abide by his rules. Hot sex and intense pleasure? No problem. Emotional commitment and forever promises? No way. But he never anticipates falling for a blue eyed angel who makes him want to cuff her to his bed and do dirty, sexy things to her. And that control of his? It doesn’t stand a chance against Sarah Robins, the one woman he can’t resist .

•••••••••

REVIEW: DIRTY SEXY CUFFED is the third installment in the contemporary, adult DIRTY SEXY erotic romance series, focusing on the Kincaid brothers-Clay, Mason, and Levi- coauthored by Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde. This is youngest brother and police officer Levi Kincaid, and Sarah Robins’ story line. DIRTY SEXY CUFFED can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous stories is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Sarah and Levi) the storyline follows Levi on nightly patrol as he tries desperately (for five weeks) to seduce the cashier at the all night variety into a date. Sarah Robins continues to turn all of Levi’s efforts down until an armed robbery places Levi between Sarah and a loaded gun. What ensues is a friends to lovers romance wherein Levi will discover that Sarah is on the run from her past-a past that is about to catch up with the present.

The relationship between our couple is slow to build as Sarah continues to push Levi out of her life. But five weeks is a long time and Sarah is more than grateful when Levi places himself in danger to protect the woman with whom he will fall in love. The $ex scenes are erotic, passionate and intense. Levi likes a little kink in the bedroom.

All of the previous story line couples play secondary and supporting roles. Mason and Katrina are planning their wedding; Clay and Samantha have an announcement of their own. Tara Kent, the bartender at Kincaid’s bar will have her story told next in DIRTY SEXY SINNER. The epilogue ends on a bit of a cliffhanger revealing what’s in store for the Kincaid brothers and Tara.

The world building continues to focus on the dark, abusive and damaging early years of the three Kincaid siblings. From their drug addicted mother to absentee fathers, the backstories are emotional and heartbreaking.

DIRTY SEXY CUFFED is a story about brothers and family; romance and love; letting go and moving forward. The premise is entertaining and hopeful; the characters are playful and dynamic; the romance is provocative and sensual. My only issue is the conflict resolution that felt like a bit of a let down; too quick, too simple, and not without some questionable actions.

Excerpt #3

What about fun? he countered easily. Ever take time for that?

It’s been awhile, she admitted softly. He didn’t miss the quick flicker of sadness in her gaze that made him want to reach out and touch her, to use his thumb to smooth away the crease that had formed between her brows. Resisting the urge took more effort than he’d expected. Then how about you say yes to a date with me, and I’ll remedy that for you. I’m all about having a good time with a pretty girl, he added with a wink. She opened her mouth to speak, and certain a denial was about to spill out, he quickly held up a hand to stop her.

Wait. Don’t say anything. She pressed her lips back together, and even though her gaze was wary, he continued on while he still had a bit of leverage. I want you to really think about your answer this time, instead of automatically turning me down, because one more rejection might just crush me.

Erika Wilde:

Erika Wilde (aka Janelle Denison) is the USA Today bestselling author of over 50 contemporary romances for multiple print publishers.

So, why the new pen name?

As Janelle Denison I’ve always written sexy books, but lately my writing has taken on more erotic elements that I wanted to keep separate for readers because not everyone likes their reading material on the spicier, kinkier side of romance. However, please be assured that even as Erika Wilde, you will still get an emotionally layered story with characters you’ll care about and fall in love with. That is always my goal, whether I’m writing straight contemporary romances, or more erotically charged stories.

Currently, I’m working on The Marriage Diaries and making sure that Dean and Jillian enjoy exploring the more erotic side to their marriage. The series will be on-going, with no foreseeable ending as of right now, for as long as readers want to be voyeurs to Dean and Jillian’s sizzling new relationship.

I’m also planning a spin-off series in the future, featuring the hot military men that work security for Dean at Noble and Associates.

RAKE’S REDEMPTION (Wind Dragons MC #4) by Chantal Fernando-a review

Rake's Redemption

Amazon.com / Amazon.ca / B&N / KOBO /

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date June 28, 2016

Rake is known for being up for anything, in and out of the bedroom. He’s wild, he’s deadly, yet quick with a joke or a stolen kiss. Known as the player of the WDMC, he loves women, the more the merrier. However, behind his womanizing façade, Rake hides the pain of losing his first love, Bailey. He hasn’t loved anyone since, and doesn’t think he ever will.

Seven years after their split, Rake and Bailey run into each other at the MC’s favorite club. Old wounds resurface, secrets are spilled…and passionate feelings are awakened. But they’ve each done things to hurt the other, hurt them too badly to get over it—haven’t they? Only when Bailey’s connection to Rake puts her in danger from another Club member does he realize that there’s nothing he won’t do to protect her—and claim her as his once again.

••••••••••

REVIEW: RAKE’S REDEMPTION is the fourth full-length installment in Chantal Fernando’s contemporary, adult WIND DRAGONS MC erotic, romance series focusing on the men and women of the Wind Dragons motorcycle club. This is bad boy/manwhore Rake (aka Adam), and elementary school teacher/single parent Bailey’s story line. RAKE’S REDEMPTION can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.

Told from dual first person points of view (Rake and Bailey) RAKE’S REDEMPTION is a second chance story line between two people whose lives fell apart years before. Seven years earlier high school sweethearts Adam and Bailey were destroyed by betrayal and misunderstanding leaving broken hearts and thoughts of deception in its wake. Fast forward to present day wherein Adam, now known as Rake, will come face to face with the woman he has always loved –the woman who shattered his heart. What ensues is a rekindling romance tempered by thoughts of hatred and despair. When the truth is revealed, and Bailey’s past resurfaces Rake takes matter into his own hands and seeks out those who shattered their lives.

RAKE’S REDEMPTION has a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including all of the previous storyline couples, and members of the Wind Dragons MC. We are introduced to Bailey’s best friend Tia, Tia’s son Rhett, and Bailey’s six year old daughter Cara. Members of the Wild Men MC play a small role including the club president Talon whose relationship to Rake and his sister Anna is an interesting story line. Tia has eyes for the Wild Men’s president. I am hoping Chantel Fernando writes a spin off series focusing on the Wild Men MC.

The world building continues to focus on the world of the motorcycle club: the men, the women, the rivals and the $ex-lots and lots of $ex. Like most MC story lines, the text and language is sometimes graphic but the violence remains behind the scenes-mostly implied or glossed over.

RAKE’S REDEMPTION is a story about betrayal and loss; revenge and retribution; second chances and falling in love. The premise is emotional and entertaining; the characters are passionate and energetic; the romance is fated and hot. The epilogue fast forwards ten years into Rake and Bailey’s story-I am hoping it is a glimpse into the future and the author hasn’t skipped over the other members of the club.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date June 21, 2016

Greer has always been there for Asher, but she wishes she could break through her shyness and show how much she truly loves him. But after a steamy, mindless fling at Hunter and Gretchen’s engagement party, Greer finds herself tossed aside and forced to admit that you can’t love someone who doesn’t acknowledge you exist.

It’s a shame he got her pregnant.

After his fiancée betrayed him and tanked his business in one fell swoop, Asher has spent his time trying to rebuild his wealth and forget the past. But he doesn’t understand why Greer blew him off after their night together—until he catches a glimpse of her belly.

Now Asher is willing to do whatever it takes to convince Greer she belongs with him. And he’s very skilled at the art of persuasion.

•••••••••

REVIEW: THE BILLIONAIRE’S FAVORITE MISTAKE is the fourth installment in Jessica Clare’s contemporary, adult BILLIONAIRES AND BRIDESMAIDS erotic, romance series-a spin off from her Billionaire Boys Club series. This is billionaire businessman Asher Sutton, and wedding planner Greer Chadha-Janssen. THE BILLIONAIRE’S FAVORITE MISTAKE can be read as a stand alone; many of the previous story lines and original series characters play secondary and supporting roles as much of the series premise focuses on Hunter and Gretchen’s (Beauty and the Billionaire/Billionaire Bad Boys #2) upcoming nuptials.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Greer and Asher) follows the tumultuous relationship between our leading couple. Greer has been in love with Asher since first year of college, but Asher has only had eyes for the one that betrayed his heart. A costume party, Greer’s ill-fated attempt to seduce Asher, and a drunken fling finds our heroine pregnant with Asher’s baby, and Asher having no memory of what happened or why. What ensues are Asher’s attempts to reconcile with his best friend but making too many mistakes along the way. When Asher is unable to convince Greer that he regrets everything he has said and done, our hero makes a deal with the devil that backfires one too many times.

Asher is a bit of a ‘douche’; there is nothing redeeming about the man including his attempts to ‘woo’ Greer back into his life-everything he does is based upon a lie and manipulation of circumstances, and in this Asher is in need of a major overhaul in the romance department when it comes to women and their hearts. Greer, is a bit naïve and immature; an innocent who has fallen in love with the wrong man, but a man that has called to her heart for too many years. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense if you ignore their initial drunken $ex fiasco.

A number of the previous story lines female characters play secondary and supporting roles as the ‘bridesmaids’ prepare for Hunter and Gretchen’s wedding. Greer is Gretchen’s wedding planner, but her pregnancy, and an ‘emergency fake wedding’ have caught our heroine by surprise.

THE BILLIONAIRE’S FAVORITE MISTAKE is an emotional read. Our heroine’s lack of self esteem continues to spiral out of control with Asher’s numerous attempts apologize and make things right. Because Greer can no longer trust our story line hero, she is in constant emotional pain with the loss of her best friend and the man that she once loved— but— to add fuel to the fire, Greer disappears after their one night stand, and refuses to acknowledge Asher’s existence for several months and in this perpetuates the negative reactions between herself and Asher Sutton. The premise is fateful; the characters are passionate and somewhat idealistic; the romance is a struggle towards a happily ever after.

Excerpt

When the group started to disperse into partying again, he got out of his chair and moved toward Greer’s table, stalking her. He saw her heading off with one of the waitstaff and jogged to catch up. “Greer!”
She turned and her face paled at the sight of him. Her mouth firmed into an angry line of distaste, and then she picked up her skirts and continued to walk away.
Yeah, he was definitely on the shit list.
That didn’t deter him, though. Asher headed after her, following her into the house and catching up despite her efforts to hurry. “Hey, wait up. I think we need to talk.”
“I have nothing to say to you, Asher.” She didn’t turn to look at him.
He reached out and clasped her arm, noting how warm her skin was, and how soft. And damn it all if he didn’t start to get another inappropriate boner. His body really needed to learn to calm the fuck down. “Just give me five minutes of your time, all right? Then I’ll leave you alone.”
She exchanged a look with the waitress, and then nodded at her. “I’ll be inside in a minute. Go ahead.” When the woman left, Greer sighed and turned back to him, smoothing a stray lock of hair back behind her ear. “What is it, Asher? I’m very busy tonight with the party.”
“I can imagine. This is a terrific party. I should have known you were behind it.” He knew she’d done weddings for some top-notch clients in New York and always took her job extremely seriously. Of course she’d put on a spectacular party for her father. “Listen. I feel like the last time we saw each other, we . . . well, we fucked up.”
Her eyebrows went up.
Shit. That was apparently the wrong thing to say. “I mean, it was a fuckup, but not that fucking you was a mistake.” God, where was his suaveness when he needed it? Why was he all diarrhea of the mouth when it came to Greer? He could sweet talk anyone, but the moment he came close to her, he babbled like a schoolboy. “Not that I think we should have fucked, of course. We’re friends, and friends don’t sleep with each other. Not if they want to stay friends. And you’ve been avoiding me. We haven’t had our Mondays in the last few months.”
“No, we haven’t.”
“It doesn’t have to be Mondays, you know. It can be any other day. Or it doesn’t have to be lunch. It can be anytime you need it to be if your schedule is all screwed.” He frowned to himself. “I should probably stop saying the word screwed, shouldn’t I?”
Her arms crossed over her chest, pressing her dress tighter against her body. “Is this conversation going somewhere, Asher? Like I said, I’m very busy tonight.”
Greer’s tits looked magnificent in that dress, he realized. They’d been small, perfect handfuls the night they’d slept together and now they seemed . . . doubly abundant. “Did you get a boob job?”
Her eyes narrowed imperceptibly. “I need to go.”
Fuck, why did he say that? “Sorry. It’s none of my business. Listen.” He reached out and grabbed her elbow when she turned to leave, stopping her. “The reason why I wanted to talk to you tonight is because I was behaving like an ass that night. I was drunk and I wasn’t myself. I was just lost in misery and in booze, and if I’d been thinking straight, I would have never dragged you off to the gardens and slept with you.” And damn if that didn’t sound all wrong, too. “Not because you’re not attractive, Greer. You are.”
“You’re not winning me over, Asher.” Her voice sounded hard. “Did you truly come to this party just to tell me that you find me repulsive and you wouldn’t have slept with me if you were sober?”
“What? No, that’s not what I meant at all. You’re hot. I mean, hell, you look smoking hot in that dress tonight.” She was all lush curves, which was surprising given that his memories of her were of her daintiness. But her body had changed in the last couple of months. And something about that was bothering him. “I just . . . don’t think we should have done that. As friends.”
“On that, I agree completely. May I go now?”
Why wasn’t she thawing toward him? He remembered Greer as all soft, shy smiles for him. They’d been friends, good friends. The cool, remote stranger in front of him . . . well, it reminded him of Stijn and the politely disinterested-because-you-are-dirt-to-me expression he wore at all times. “I just . . . you’re a good friend and I don’t want to lose you.”
“We can’t change what happened, Asher.” She hadn’t thawed an inch. One of the waitstaff moved nearby with an enormous cake, and she delicately sidestepped on the path to allow them more room. As she did, the long hem of her skirt got caught in a nearby bush and pulled taut against her body, outlining a slightly rounded stomach.
Asher’s eyes widened as realization struck him. “Greer . . . are you pregnant?”
She bit her lip and averted her gaze.

Oh fuck. She was pregnant.
“Is it . . . Is it mine?”
She looked back up again. Her eyes narrowed. She crooked her finger at him, indicating he should lean down. He did—
—And she delivered a ringing slap to his face.

About The author

Jessica Clare Jill MylesThis is a pen name for Jill Myles.

Jill Myles has been an incurable romantic since childhood. She reads all the ‘naughty parts’ of books first, looks for a dirty joke in just about everything, and thinks to this day that the Little House on the Prairie books should have been steamier.

After devouring hundreds of paperback romances, mythology books, and archaeological tomes, she decided to write a few books of her own – stories with a wild adventure, sharp banter, and lots of super-sexy situations. She prefers her heroes alpha and half-dressed, her heroines witty, and she loves nothing more than watching them overcome adversity to fall into bed together.

Then He Kissed Me by Laura Trentham – a Review

Then He Kissed MeAmazon / Barnes & Noble / Kobo / BAM / The Book Depository

Description:
Can two hearts come together in one divided town?

As a boy, Nash Hawthorne spent countless afternoons on the Louisiana side of Cottonbloom with Tally Fournette, wading in the river, peeling oranges and catching frogs. When illness stole his mother, Nash yearned to take Tally and run away—for good. Instead, he crossed the state line to live with his aunt. It was a short distance as the crow flies, but it swept him into a whole new world…

After Nash left, Tally managed to struggle through her own losses without him. But now that she’s crossed paths with him again—at Cottonbloom College, where the grown-up, gorgeous Nash teaches history—she is reminded of their cherished youthful connection…and an attraction that has only gotten stronger with age. Between Tally’s possessive ex and Nash’s snobbish aunt, no one thinks they belong together. In a town torn apart by old resentments and rivalries, can they find their way back to the life they once shared—and turn their long-lost dreams into a real and lasting love?

Review:

Then He Kissed Me by Laura Trentham is the 2nd novel in her Cottonbloom series.  We met Tally Fournette, our heroine, in the first book, as she is Cade’s  (1st book hero) sister.  We also met our hero, Nash Hawthorne, who had recently returned to Cottonbloom.  The story starts off when both Nash and Tally were young children and best friends, both being on the poorer Louisiana side of town. Nash was considered a skinny nerd, not having any friends, other than Tally.  Nash’s mother was dying, and he would escape to meet Tally most evenings.  But everything was about to change.  Nash’s mother died, and his snobbish aunt took him to live with her on the rich Mississippi side of Cottonbloom.  Tally and her brothers were heartbroken when their parents were killed in an accident, forcing them to live with their uncle Delbert in poorer conditions.  Tally & Nash’s  friendship went by the wayside, each having to live in different situations.

Now all grown up, Nash has never forgotten his best friend, Tally.  He is no longer a skinny nerd, but a handsome hot professor, who plans to work locally at the Cottonbloom College.   Tally owns her own gym, which has been doing well, and will expand to have special classes for seniors.  What follows is a slow build romance between two people who have never forgotten their close friendship.  Nash wants more than friendship, but Tally is afraid of getting hurt again.  She spent her teenage years as being wild and carefree, which was opposite of Nash, who traveled  to Scotland and became a professor.  Tally feels that she is not worthy of Nash, even if her attraction to him grows.

I loved Nash, and how much he was willing to take it slow with Tally, and we knew how much he loved her.  Tally, whom I really liked in the first book, annoyed me a little bit.  Her refusal to see take a chance at love, even with knwing she was in love with him, and her constantly running away made me want to slap some reasoning into her.  However, besides that, she was a good heroine, and totally loyal to her family and friends.  Will Nash be able to convince Tally that he will always be there for her?

Laura Trentham has created another wonderful sweet romance in a small town.  There were a few surprises from the past for both families that added to the element of the story.  I look forward to the next book, which I hope is Regan and Sawyer’s story.  If you enjoy small town romance, great characters, good story line, than you should be reading this series.

His Heart’s Revenge by Jenny Holiday – a Review

His Heart’s Revenge by Jenny Holiday – a Review

His Heart's RevengeAmazon / Barnes & Noble / Kobo / BAM / The Book Depository

Description:
Twenty years ago, I was too smart and too poor to be cool. Now I’m laughing my way to the bank-the bank I’m CEO of. Nothing can touch me. Except maybe him. We met at summer camp. We made out under the stars. Then he stabbed me in the back. They say revenge is a dish best served cold. But I’m gonna go with hot. Alexander Evangelista is a millionaire with all the trappings: houses all over the world and hot guys lined up whenever he’s in need of some no-strings-attached company. He’s on his way to world domination. A CEO in his own right, Cary Bell is competing for a major client with his boyhood crush. He’s never forgiven himself for betraying Alex. But with his professional reputation on the line, he’s going to have to find his inner cutthroat if he wants his new company to succeed. Alex isn’t about to let his nemesis steal a client out from under him. It’s time to break Cary’s company-and his heart.”

Review:

While M/M is not my customary genre…of course I’ll read His Heart’s Revenge, it’s Jenny Holiday, duh.  I loved her regency work.  It was only when I read, and re-read, the synopsis that I realized the lead was Alexander and not Alexan-dra.  Cary, our co-lead, will have his hands full with this one! 😉  While not my customary genre, the foundation is romance and I don’t draw lines.  Jenny Holiday wrote about love and revenge and its unexpected aftermath.  I enjoyed it very much!

15 year olds crushing at summer camp.  It’s either folly/experimental or possibly the one that got away.  When Alex and Cary reunite 20 years later in the same business circle (although one clearly gained more notoriety), they become adversaries when vying to land a wealthy tycoon new to their area.  One-upping the other suddenly escalates!  For Cary, four months after launching Bell Capital would catapult him into success.  Alex is no slouch, however, as proven by industry accolades and tabloids who salivate after his every date.  When Alex detects encroachment upon his livelihood, he goes “utterly unsentimental”, transforming into a great white shark sniffing blood in the water.

But if that fuc#ing upstart thought he was going to steal clients out from under Dominion?  If he thought he was going to use that honeyed mouth of his to sweet
talk the twentieth-richest man in the world out from under Alexander?
Alexander rolled his wrists like he was warming up for a sparring sessions with his jujitsu master.
Bring it.

To quote a cheerleader from a wildly popular movie:  It’s already been broughten!  So war it is.  Alex may ruminate over his teenage infatuation with Cary, but the impact of winning the huge account drives his determination to the point of inflexibility.  Leaving little room for “strolling down that particular fuc#ed-up memory lane.”

Adversaries become rivals become nemeses.  But a bond lingers; one forged of a brief, but profound past.  An innate connection that dismisses insecurity, status and disparity.  Is it enough to forgive insensitivity?  Is money more important?

Jenny Holiday makes you fall in love with her characters.  This is her gift.  His Heart’s Revenge is no different.  She surprised me with the detailed intimacy, but you’ve got to go into this prepared.  I was certainly enlightened — new to those “mechanics” she sought out for research.  But in the end, like I expected, she tells a timeless romantic story that deserves to be read.

A man of darkness, a man of passion, trapped by temptation and desire. It’s an inviting, achingly pleasurable alchemy no woman can refuse . . .

In the battle between good and evil, Kayla Ward knows vampires are strictly off limits. As a Watcher she is sworn to protect humankind from the nightwalkers. But a series of murders–the victims all women–leaves Kayla with only one choice: to join forces with the dark side. It isn’t her fault that Ethan’s seductive allure triggers every zone of pleasure in her body .

REVIEW: NIGHT SINS by Lisa Renee Jones is a stand alone, paranormal erotic romance novella. This is vampire Ethan, and Watcher Kayla Ward’s story line.

Told from several third person points of view NIGHT SINS focuses on a series of murders committed by a group of rogue vampires known as the Blood Brothers. Kayla is a watcher; a protector who has been assigned to Las Vegas, where the murders are taking place, leading her to the sexy and powerful vampire Ethan- a man with close ties to all of the female victims. What ensues is the search for the people responsible before the next murder.

NIGHT SINS is a quick and sexy read; approximately twenty four hours in the life wherein our leading couple uncover the who and why behind the recent string of events. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative; the premise is intriguing and suspenseful; the romance is a quick build to a happily ever after- for now. Here’s hoping Kayla and Ethan’s story continues. If you love paranormal romances, give NIGHT SINS a try.

I will add that both of today’s story lines (Amber Fire and Night Sins) have similar premises with equally similar romance/mating/hidden DNA plot points, and there is a familiarity to the jaguar story line that I have read before.

Broad and all-powerful, a man who knows how to thrive in the wild–and bring to the edge of ecstasy the woman he claims as his own . . .

Determined to defend her late father’s work, Amber Green heads into the heat of the Nevada canyons to prove the existence of the Yaguara, a shape-shifting race of jaguars. There she meets the one man more hell-bent on protecting the jaguars than she is: Jareth, a force of raw male nature to be reckoned with–an animal worth pursuing

REVIEW: AMBER FIRE by Lisa Renee Jones is a contemporary, adult, erotic, paranormal romance novella focusing on a group of jaguar shifters known as the Yaguara. This is jaguar shifter Jareth, and archeologist Amber Green’s story line.

Told from dual third person points of view (Amber and Jareth) AMBER FIRE follows the search for the mythical creature known as the Yaguara-a shape shifter feline once known to inhabit the Nevada Canyons. Amber is a woman who is currently heading up the archeological dig, following the death of her father, and to her surprise she will discover that the man with whom she is falling in love, is the very ‘ creature’ she is hoping to discover. What ensues is a quick build up ( 24 hours at most) of a relationship between Amber and Jareth, and the hunt for our couple by the people she once trusted the most.

AMBER FIRE is a quick read; a sexy story about discrimination and betrayal; murder and revenge; falling in love and letting go of the past. The character development is limited due to the nature of the novella length-let’s hope Lisa Renee Jones will extend our couple’s story line in a future installment. The premise is imaginative; the characters are magical; the romance is fast and furious.
