ABOUT THE BOOK:

Release Date: May 7, 2019

Peaches Taylor spent the last seven years slinging drinks and dodging drunks at the Starkwood Saloon. Some might call it a dead end job, but to her it was an investment—another six months, and she’d have enough money to buy the place.

Life would’ve been perfect if Eli hadn’t come home.

Eli King is ready to settle down. He stood by his brothers when they needed him, paying the price for their freedom with his own. Now it’s time to claim his reward—the Starkwood Saloon. He’s got the cash to buy the bar, the skills to run it, and just one person standing between him and his dream: Peaches Taylor.

She’s been driving him crazy since they were kids, and not in the good way. When she was six, she shoved a spider down his pants. When he was ten, he locked her in a closet overnight. Then she hot-wired his car at seventeen, and things got ugly…

They’re adults now, and the Starkwood isn’t a toy to fight over—it’s the hill they’ll die on. No prisoners. No compromises. No mercy.

Peaches Taylor and Eli King are going to war.

REVIEW: ELI’S TRIUMPH is instalment 6.7 in Joanna Wylde’s contemporary, adult REAPERS MC romance series, and the latest instalment in the multi-authored 1001 Dark nights series. This is Reapers MC member Eli King, and bartender /waitress Peaches Taylor’s story line. ELI’S TRIUMPH can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Eli and Peaches) ELI’S TRIUMPH follows the acrimonious relationship between thirty-one year old Eli King, and Peaches Taylor. Having grown up as embattled step-siblings, of a sort, Peaches and Eli’s relationship continues to broil close to exploding. An early release from jail for a crime he did not commit finds Eli in line to take over and purchase the Starkwood Bar from his uncle Gus, a bar frequented by the Reapers MC. The only problem-Peaches has her own eyes set on ownership of the bar, ownership promised to her by the man she thought of a father and friend. What ensues is the caustic war of words and accusations between Peaches and Eli, and the potential fall-out when the truth is revealed forcing Peaches to back away, without a fight.

The relationship between Eli and Peaches is abrasive and heart breaking. Years of childish fights, and constant bickering hides a lifelong attraction between our leading couple, an attraction hindered by sins of the past, and fractured feelings. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The colorful secondary and supporting characters include Eli’s uncle Gus, the current owner of the Starkwood Bar; Peaches’ mother and her husband James, as well as several members of the Reapers MC.

ELI’S TRIUMPH is a fast paced, story of family, betrayal, forgiveness and love. The premise is engaging and captivating; the romance is seductive and hot; the characters are energetic and moving. ELI’S TRIUMPH is a welcome addition to the author’s REAPERS MC.

I’d earned this bar, paid for it with five long years in prison, holding my tongue and taking the punishment for a crime that wasn’t mine. Gus owed me for that alone. The fact that he’d get a cash payout was just a bonus at this point.
No reason for me to feel guilty. And that was the truth.
Still, I could see how much this sucked for Peaches. She’d put in time, too. Time and good faith. Riling her up was a blast, but I’d never wanted her hurt. Not for real. I cared about the girl. Cared about her a lot.
Too much.
Gus had been weak. I loved my uncle, but he’d f*cked this one up big time. She deserved better from him—and from me. I should be in there with them. Decision made, I reached for the door.
“Get out! Get the f*ck out of here, you lying bastard!”
The door burst open, and Gus stumbled out, walking backward. I caught his arm and steadied him as the slab slammed shut again. I heard the heavy bolt sliding shut, locking us out. My uncle looked at me, then sighed.
“Actually went better than I expected.”
“Glad I don’t have to deal with hiding a body.”
“Not yet,” he replied, then sighed again. “She’s not a happy camper. Probably should’ve warned her that our plans might change once you got out.”
“Why didn’t you? Would’ve been a lot easier on her.”
“Guess I didn’t want her turning on me,”my uncle admitted, surprising me with his honesty. “I knew she’d hate me for it. God, but I miss her mom. Saw her in town a couple weeks ago. It’s been twenty years, and Glory still won’t even look at me.”
Raw pain filled his eyes. I cleared my throat, uncomfortable. F*ck. I didn’t like this. Didn’t like my girl hurting, and didn’t like having to see my uncle like this.
Didn’t like knowing I was part of it.
A loud thump came from behind the door, breaking the moment. There was a crash, and then some kind of tearing noise. Shit.
Some women pouted when they got upset.
Others cried.
Peaches had always skipped that part, moving straight to revenge. Another crash. This one so hard that the door rattled. I pictured her all pissed off in there, those glorious t*ts of hers straining against the front of her low-cut black Starkwood Saloon shirt. My c*ck twitched. Christ, she was hot when she got angry.
Her cheeks would be flushed, and she’d run her fingers through that wild, dark hair of hers in frustration.
Total sex hair.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date May 7, 2019

A sexy, small town, second chance rom com!

Thanks to a drawn-up-while-drinking-moonshine partnership agreement, Madison Allain has to spend thirty days back on the bayou before she can sell her part of the family business.

And if the heat and humidity and freaking alligators of Louisiana aren’t enough to agitate the cool and in-control California girl, then Owen Landry, the equally hot guy who stole her heart twelve years ago, will sure do the trick.

Owen just has to remember three simple-ish rules: Do not fight with her. Do not fight *over* her. Do *not* kiss her. He can do this. He’s charming and friendly for a living after all. But this is Maddie. The only woman to ever shake up this laid-back bayou boy.

Besides, she’s not staying. No way. These people and this town make her crazy. She doesn’t want to be crazy. She definitely does *not* want to own a swamp boat tour company. She just wants to paint. In her quiet, beautiful, alligators-not-allowed, *air-conditioned* art studio.

As for that hot bayou boy? Well, he’s… amazing. But he belongs here in the South. And she definitely doesn’t. Even if her heart stays behind when she leaves

REVIEW: SWEET HOME LOUISIANA is the second instalment in Erin Nicholas’ contemporary, adult BOYS OF THE BAYOU romance series focusing on the Landry family. This is twenty -nine year old tour boat operator Owen Landry, and twenty-eight year old artist/gallery owner Madison Allain. SWEETHOME LOUISIANA can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives ( Owen and Madison) SWEET HOME LOUISIANA focuses on the second chance relationship between twenty-nine year old tour boat operator Owen Landry, and twenty-eight year old artist/gallery owner Madison Alain. Twelve years earlier Madison left the Bayou and her life behind, and heading to California to become something and someone else. Fast forward to present day wherein Madison must return to Autre, Louisiana to sell her late brother Tommy’s shares in the Boys of the Bayou swamp boat tour company, shares Madison inherited upon her brother’s death. But returning to Autre meant facing the family and the man she left behind, a man who stirs something deep within our story line heroine. Enter Owen Landry. What ensues is the rekindling romance and relationship between Owen and Madison, and the potential fall-out as Madison’s time in Autre comes to an end.

According to the terms of the Boys of the Bayou contract, Madison must remain in Autre for thirty days, thirty days that keeps her in close contact with the Landry family. Hoping to convince Madison not to sell her shares, Owen and his brothers convince Madison to work for the company in an effort to rekindle the memories of a time long ago.

The relationship between Owen and Madison is one of second chances: a rebuilding friendship and relationship hurt but the craziness Madison believes affects her own form of crazy. Owen has never stopped loving our story line heroine and if Madison wants to sell her shares, Owen sets about making plans of his own. The $ex scenes are passionate and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are reintroduced to the Landry family, friends and business partners: Josh and Tori (My Best Friend’s Mardi Gras Wedding #1) sister Kennedy and long-suffering brother Sawyer: grandpa Leo, grandma Ellie, cousin Mitch; Aunt Cora, billionaire Bennett Baxter, and attorney Juliet Dawson and her brother Chase. Sawyer and Juliet’s story is next in BEAUTY AND THE BAYOU.

SWEET HOME LOUISIANA like My Best Friend’s Mardi Gras Wedding is a story of family and friendships; of second chances and falling in love; of struggle, grief, guilt and moving forward. The premise is entertaining, engaging and energetic; the romance is captivating and seductive; the characters are dynamic, charismatic and caring. My only issue is the conflict resolution -which is almost identical to the first instalment.

Owen felt his mouth curve into a grin as he heard the familiar clap, clap, clap behind him.
That was one of his favorite sounds—high heels on the wooden dock of the Boys of the Bayou swamp boat tour company.
He took his time turning and once he did, he started at the shoes.
They were black and showed off bright red toenails. The straps wrapped sexily around trim ankles and led the eye right up to smooth, toned calves. The heels matched the black polka dots on the white skirt that thankfully didn’t start until mid-thigh, and showed off more tanned skin.
He straightened from his kneeling position in one of the boats as his eyes kept moving up past the skirt to the bright red belt that accentuated a narrow waist and then to the silky black tank that molded to a pair of perfect breasts.
He was fully anticipating her lips being bright red to go with that belt and her toenail polish. God, he loved red lipstick. And high heels. In any color.
But before he could get to those lips, she used them, to say, “Oh, dammit, it’s you.”
Owen’s gaze bypassed her mouth to fly to her eyes. Because he’d know that voice anywhere.
Madison Allain was home.
A day early.
Not that an extra day would have helped him prepare. He’d been thinking about her visit for a week and was still as wound tight about it as he’d been when Sawyer, his business partner and cousin, had told him that she was coming home. For a month.
Owen stood just watching her, fighting back all of the first words that he was tempted to say.
Like, “Damn, you’re even more gorgeous than the last time I saw you.”
Or, “I haven’t put anyone in the hospital lately.”
Or, “I’ve missed you so fucking much.”
Just for instance.
She blew out a breath and now he did focus on her lips.
Yep, red. Terrific. That wasn’t going to make ignoring them any easier.
“I was hoping you were Sawyer,” she said, propping a hand on her hip.
Owen tossed the wrench he held into the toolbox at his feet. “Nope. Sorry.” So she wasn’t happy to see him. Big shocker. He hadn’t always been the perfect Southern gentleman around Maddie, that was for sure.
He wiped his hands on his jeans. Okay, he was supposed to be niceto her. That meant treating her like she was one of the tourists who frequented this dock. Polite. Friendly, but not I’ve-known-you-my-whole-life-and-kissed-you-a-whole-bunch friendly. Just mildly hey-how’s-it-goin’ friendly. So that she didn’t sell off her portion of the business that not only fed him and his other two partners, but that was their pride and joy. And the only thing he was really good at.
Nice. Polite. A little friendly—but not too much. He could do that.
Annoyed that within thirty seconds of seeing her again he was already thinking about kissing her, he kicked the toolbox, trying to slide it into the nook under the bow of the boat. Of course, he kicked it too hard and it tipped, spilling tools over the floor of the boat with loud clangs of metal against metal.
He shoved a hand through his hair. That was typical. Everything was an overreaction when it came to how he acted around Maddie. Even the little stuff. Certainly the big stuff. Always had been.
“Sawyer’s over at Ellie’s.” Owen pulled himself up out of the boat and onto the dock.
That took him about two feet closer to her and he instantly became aware that he wasn’t wearing a shirt. Very aware as Maddie’s eyes tracked over his shoulders, chest and abs.
The heat that arrowed through him was unwelcome. Though not unexpected. There had always been this crazy chemistry between them. Key word: crazy.

He likes a challenge…

Here’s the deal: I’m the best center fielder in the major leagues. I’m also the guy who cost his team the championship game and acted very unsportsmanlike. So, when the team hires a social media manager to repair the damage to my reputation, I don’t argue. But then I meet Chloe Conrad, and I suddenly understand what people mean when they say they have an instant connection to someone. Which means I’m in serious trouble. Chloe’s a smart, sexy distraction I can’t afford, but one date can’t hurt, right? Only she turns me down. And just like that, it’s game on.

She’s sworn off love…

Finn Auprince is the hottest player in the major leagues. Look up “It Factor” in the dictionary and there’s his handsome face. But Finn doesn’t believe in curses—he believes in me. Professionally and personally. REVIEW: HEARTTHROB is the first instalment in Robin Bielman’s contemporary, adult AMERICAN ROYALTY romance series focusing on the Auprince brothers. This is MLB center fielder Finn Auprince, and social media manager Chloe Conrad’s story line.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Finn and Chloe) HEARTTHROB follows the building relationship between MLB center fielder Finn Auprince, and social media manager Chloe Conrad. Finn Auprince broke his collarbone in the final game of the World Series costing the team the game and the championship. Struggling to move beyond the stigma of losing and the realization that his patience is straining thin, team management hires social media manager Chloe Conrad, in an effort to boost Finn’s online persona. What ensues is the building relationship between Chloe and Finn, and the potential fall-out as Chloe struggles with issues of trust in the face of recent events including Finn’s reputation with the fairer sex.

Chloe Conrad believes she is cursed. All of her relationships have ended when the men that she loves fall in love with someone else. Meeting Finn Auprince finds Chloe battling her attraction to a man who has the ability to destroy what’s left of her heart. Finn Auprince is the media darling of the MLB’s Landsharks, but recent events find our hero struggling to keep up social appearances. When the team hires Chloe Conrad, the attraction is immediate but Chloe’s recent history is too raw to move beyond professional and friendly. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to Finn’s extended family including his brothers- restauranteur Ethan, and IT specialist Drew: their mother Liza Auprince, and their grandmother Rosemary; Team PR director Rena; as well as Chloe’s ex boyfriend Leo, her father Casey Conrad, and young baseball fans Josh and Jesse. Ethan’s story line is next in SWEET TALKER.

HEARTTHROB is a story of family, friendship, relationships and love. The premise is spirited and spicy; the characters are sexy and sassy; the romance is seductive and captivating. A great start to a wonderful series.

“Smooth,”I say with a shake of my head. He no doubt compliments every woman he meets. “But overused.” I put out my palm. “Hand over your phone. I’ll take the picture.”
He looks like he’s ready to yank the sling off his arm and throw it across the parking lot, but instead he gives in to my request. I put the card down on the hood of my car and snap the photo. After checking to make sure it’s a clear shot, I say, “Would you mind letting me know the cost of fixing your car before we go through insurance companies? I may pay out of pocket.”I hate the idea of depleting my savings account, but it might be the better option in the long run.
“Sure.” His fingers brush mine when I give him his phone back, and a surge of heat charges up my arm. Our eyes lock. Hold. “I should also get your digits then—” he glances down at the photo “—Chloe Conrad.”
His saying my name shouldn’t make me weak in the knees, but it does. We’re no longer strangers, not that he’ll remember me or give me any thought beyond fixing his car.
I snag the phone back and type in my number. Then I call myself. My phone rings from the car. “Now I’ve got your number, too.” I never answer my phone if I don’t know who’s calling.
“Would you like a name to go along with it?”
“That’s okay.” I hand back the phone.
His blue eyes dance. “You already know it.”
“Why would I know it? Are you famous or something?” I turn to go before he can see the truth on my face. “I’ll wait to hear from you and uh, sorry about hitting you. I don’t think I said that.”
“No worries.”
I wish. Life isn’t exactly going to plan at the moment. At least my next job assignment should be easy. My boss said it was a perfect fit and I’d get the details on Monday.
“Oh, and Chloe?”
I pause before sliding into my car and look at Finn.
“Nice try.” He tips his head toward my front bumper and winks. Actually winks! Normally I find winking cheesy, but not when Finn does it. His wink is like a calling card for let’s get naked and run our hands and mouths all over each other.
Then it hits me. My license plate frame. It says Baseball…The Perfect Game. Shit. Can’t a girl catch a single break?
“See you around, Webster.”
No, he won’t. Not if I can help it.

While raising her girls alone, Isabelle also begins building a career as a successful art consultant. Then one final turn of fate brings a past secret to light, bonds mother and daughters closer, and turns a challenge into a blessing.

Review:

Blessing in Disguise by Danielle Steel is a wonderful heartwarming standalone novel that I read in one day, as I could not put the book down.  This is a story revolving around an independent woman, building a successful career in the art world, who has three daughters with different fathers, and the relationship over time with their lives.

We meet our heroine, Isabelle McAvoy, when she is spending the summer in Paris, working as an intern in an art gallery.  When she is assigned to deliver various paintings, she meets a wealthy recluse, Putnam Armstrong, who is an art connoisseur.  In a short time, Isabelle will fall in love with the older, Putnam and spend many weeks visiting him, as they succumb to their feelings for each other.  Isabelle knows there is no future for her with Putnam, as he is used to his ways as a loner, and cannot handle any kind of permanent relationship.   When she returns home to New York, she realizes that she is pregnant, and decides to keep the child, though her father warns her how difficult it will be for her, with no real income.   Isabelle manages to get a job at an art gallery, where she will work her way up, and Putnam is determined to help support Isabelle for whatever she needs.

The friendship between Putnam and Isabelle was an important part of the story early on, as she and her daughter Theo, travelled to France every year to spend the month of August with Putnam.  Though one month was all he could handle each year, he was very supportive, loyal and loving to Theo, as well as convincing Isabelle to find someone to love and marry.

Isabelle will eventually meet and marry another man, whom turns out to be a mistake, as he was a con man. When she realizes he was using her, she files for divorce, and is now also pregnant.  She has another daughter, Xela, and then becomes pregnant again a few years later, when she falls in love with a wonderful man, who gets killed before they marry, and again she is pregnant with a third daughter (Oona).  What follows is following Isabelle throughout her life of trials and tribulations, success, and dealing with her daughters as they grow up to lead their own lives.

I will not tell too much more, as you need to read this story for yourself.  I fully enjoyed reading about Isabelle, who made a fantastic heroine, as we watch her lead an interesting life, and also see how life changes for each of her daughters.  Blessing in Disguise was very well written by Danielle Steel.  I wholly recommend that you read this wonderful insightful story.

But she has no idea just how dangerous life would be with me. I broke club rules. I betrayed my brothers to save a woman’s life. If the Red Dragons find us we’ll be in trouble. And if I give into my desires, she’ll be in deeper than she realises…

•••••••••••

REVIEW: HER WILD RIDE is the first instalment in Heather Van Fleet’s contemporary, adult RED DRAGON MC erotic, romance series focusing on the members of the Red Dragon MC. This is twenty-four year old, elementary school teacher Summer Parks, and twenty-seven year old, MC member Niyol ‘Hawk’ Lattimore’s story line.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line, there may be some triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told for dual first person perspectives (Niyol and Summer) HER WILD RIDE follows in the aftermath of Niyol Lattimore’s release from prison for a crime he did not commit. A letter warning him never to return to his beloved Red Dragon MC meant Niyol needed a quick escape from the people and Club he loved. Enter Summer Parks, Niyol’s step-sister Emily’s best friend, and the woman with whom Niyol will fall in love. What ensues is the cross-country journey from Illinois to California, between Niyol and Summer, and the potential fall-out as Niyol’s past comes seeking revenge using Summer as a pawn in the process.

Niyol Lattimore despises the man that set him up, and took him down but vengeance came with a cost, a cost that forced Niyol on the run. Never expecting to fall for the feisty beauty, Niyol struggles between head and heart knowing his past is all but a step behind as rogue bikers have been sent to destroy his life. Summer Parks needs a little R&R since finding her fiancé in the arms of another woman. Driving Niyol to the West Coast gave Summer an opportunity to make new friends but Niyol wants nothing to do with the talkative and definitely out of his league elementary school teacher.

The relationship between Niyol and Summer begins as an arrangement between Summer and Niyol’s sister Emily. Summer needs a break from her life back home, and Niyol is desperate to get out of town in spite of loving the MC life. Forced together on the road, it’s fate and circumstance that draws our couple together. The $ex scenes are passionate and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to a large and colorful ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Niyol’s step-mother Lisa, step-sister Emily, and his father Charles Lattimore ; MC members Flick, Slade, and Archer; Niyol’s former girlfriend Maya; and Summer’s grandparents Peaches and Paul.

HER WILD RIDE is a story of betrayal, vengeance, family and love. The premise is engaging and intriguing; the characters are energetic and broken; the romance is intense and hot. HER WILD RIDE is not as gritty or raw as some other MC story lines as most of the story focused on Niyol and Summer’s cross-country journey

I would recommend reading WICKED FORCE for back story and history between our leading couple. There is also a slight cross-over with the mention of the author’s Carolina Cold Fury Hockey Series, and a potential new agent for Jameson Force Security -Malik Fournier.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Kynan and Joslyn) CODE NAME: GENESIS picks up twelve years after Joslyn Meyers pushed Kynan McGrath out of her life. Hired as security for her first concert tour, a then nineteen year old Joslyn Meyers would fall in love with her twenty-six year old, security guard Kynan McGrath but betrayal and manipulation would see Joslyn pushing Kynan out of her life without explanation or good bye. Fast forward to present day wherein Joslyn has a stalker, and the only man she trusts is the same man she pushed away years before. Struggling to move on from his broken heart and the betrayal by the woman he loved Kynan reluctantly becomes guardian and protector for our story line heroine. Kynan and Joslyn will enter into a fake relationship in an effort to draw out Joslyn’s stalker, a man who begins to up the stakes with each encounter. What ensues is the rebuilding and rekindling / second chance relationship between Joslyn and Kynan, and the fall-out as Joslyn’s stalker threatens more than our heroine’s life.

Kynan McGrath has never forgiven or forgotten Joslyn Meyers but moving on meant putting the pain behind him for good. Never expecting to see Joslyn again, Kynan is surprised and angry when Joslyn begs Kynan to see to her protection. Joslyn Meyers believes Kynan betrayed her love and her heart but desperate times called for desperate measures ,and Joslyn was willing to put her anger aside to procure the help of the man she once loved.

The relationship between Kynan and Joslyn is one of second chances; a rekindling romance between two people whose love was destroyed by betrayal and lies. The lingering anger between our leading couple barely hides the palpable sexual attraction that pushes our hero over the edge on more than one occasion. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are slowly introduced to Kynan’s Jameson Force Security Team as he gradually interviews and hires the people he trusts: former inmate and IT specialist Bebe Grimshaw; former US Secret Service Agent Cruce Britton; US Marine Saint Bellinger; Jericho Jameson; Joslyn’s mother Madeline and her husband Darrin Dawes, as well as her manager Lynn, and publicist Harry.

CODE NAME: GENESIS sets the background and introduces the players and security specialists at Jameson Force Security. The premise is fascinating and bewitching; the characters are colorful, energetic and intriguing; the romance is spicy and hot. CODE NAME: GENESIS is a wonderfully entertaining introduction to Sawyer’s new Jameson Force Security.

Review

Heart’s Desire is the second book in the Lords of Chance series by author Wendy LaCapra.  It’s the story of Percival Stanley, the fifth Earl of Markham and Lady Clarissa Laithe, sister to Lord Rayne (a former friend of Percival’s).

Author LaCapra has woven a deep and enlightening story of perceptions. All people have perceptions of what their actions are, sometimes true and sometimes not as noble as they thought. Sometimes, situations are not what we thought, only what we perceived. All these things, especially in the society of the time period, are put together in very interesting and unique ways to bring the reader a rich experience and a very fun read.

I don’t want to spoil the story for anyone, so read the description to get the basic idea of the book. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the way it was presented. I think you’ll find it a wonderful read, full of fun, doubts and excitement.

REVIEW: BEAUTIFUL EVER AFTER is the second and final instalment in Georgia Cates’ contemporary, adult BEAUTIFUL ILLUSIONS erotic, romance duet focusing on thirty-three year old, Scottish businessman and widower Maxwell ‘Hutch’ Hutcheson, and twenty-two year old, American student Caitriona ‘Lou’ Louden. BEAUTIFUL EVER AFTER should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events and cliff hanger of book one EIGHTY-ONE NIGHTS. There is a slight cross-over with the author’s SIN TRILOGY series with the inclusion of the Breckenridge family from the aforementioned series.

SOME BACKGROUND: Desperate for money Caitriona Louden becomes an Inomorata woman, a ‘for-hire’ girlfriend for the rich and powerful. Never expecting more than a temporary arrangement, Cait is matched with a man named Hutch, the man with whom she will fall in love.

Told from dual first person points of view (Lou and Hutch) BEAUTIFUL EVER AFTER follows the continuing story of thirty-three year old, Scottish businessman and widower Maxwell ‘Hutch’ Hutcheson, and twenty-two year old, American student Caitriona ‘Lou’ Louden. At the end of book one EIGHTY-ONE NIGHTS, our heroine Caitriona Louden walks away from the man that she loves in order to protect our story line hero. Devastated and heart broken Lou falls into a depression, a depression matched by Maxwell Hutcheson. Unable to accept the loss of his love Max desperately searches for Caitriona Louden, a woman he knows only as Lou. Threats from the past pushed Lou out of his life but Max isn’t willing to let go without a fight. What ensues is the rekindling relationship and romance between Hutch and Lou, and the potential fall-out as Max’s past threatens everyone he loves.

BEAUTIFUL EVER AFTER is an emotional story of heart break and loss; betrayal and vengeance; acceptance, love, and moving forward. Once again, if you are a fan of the author’s BEAUTY series you will see a familiar outline and parallel correlations the author calls a ‘fusion of old and new material’. Georgia Cates pulls the reader into a sexy, spicy and sensitive story; a stunning and wonderful look at life, fate, romance and love.

I open my office door and the woman is sitting in one of the chairs facing my desk. My eyes are drawn to the back of her long straight blond hair and my first thought is that it’s Cora. But then I remember that Cora’s hair isn’t that long. Or platinum blond.

“My apologies, Miss Morata. I’m sorry to keep you waiting.”

“Being made to wait implies that your time is more important than mine. And I assure you that my time is very important. And expensive. Ask any of my clients and they’ll tell you so.”

Her accent is strange. Is she faking a Scottish burr?

“I assure you I’m not under the impression that your time is less important than mine or anyone else’s.” I come around the chair and offer my hand. “It’s a pleasure to make your acquaint—.”

Green-brown hazel eyes. Long lashes. Nose adorned with a few scattered freckles.

Perfect. Red. Lips.

My wife.

My wife wearing a platinum blond wig?
