He’s the bad boy her mother warned her about.

The guy who makes her crave all the naughty things a good girl shouldn’t want.

Tanner Grayson is a man outrunning the demons of his past and has the rap sheet to prove it. The only thing keeping old anger in check and him on the straight and narrow are the men he calls brothers and the club he calls home. He has no business taking the sexy woman doing shots in his club upstairs to his bed.

They never should have crossed paths. But when Assistant District Attorney Scarlett Davis lays eyes on the hot as sin club owner, she decides he’s the birthday present she wants to unwrap at the end of the evening.

He tells himself it’s one night. She convinces herself she deserves a short break from her latest case. But one night isn’t enough and soon these two opposites are in deeper than they ever planned.

When Scarlett’s case collides with Tanner’s past, she sees the dangerous man he’s hidden beneath the cool veneer he presents to the world. Can she accept him for who he is? Or will she run from the bad boy who makes her feel so good?

REVIEW: TWICE AS SEXY is the second instalment in Carly Phillips’ contemporary, adult SEXY erotic, romance series, a cross-over with the author’s DARE series. This is night club owner and former MMA fighter Tanner Grayson, and Assistant District Attorney Scarlett Davis’ story line. TWICE AS SEXY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Tanner and Scarlett) TWICE AS SEXY follows the building relationship between nightclub owner Tanner Grayson, and Assistant District Attorney Scarlett Davis. Scarlett Davis was about to celebrate her thirtieth birthday with her best friend Leigh Michaels, a celebration where she would meet night club owner Tanner Grayson. A one-night stand between our leading couple would turn into something more but Tanner Grayson’s past was about to catch up pulling Scarlett Davis in the direct line of fire. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Tanner and Scarlett, and the potential fall-out as Scarlett struggles to move beyond Tanner’s past.

Scarlett Davis became a lawyer to fight for the victims of NYC . Having lost her younger brother in a robbery gone wrong, Scarlett vowed to ensure that the guilty parties get what they deserve. Tanner Grayson has always had an issue with anger having grown with a father who was quick to bite but Tanner’s past includes the death of his brother, a death he struggles to forget or move on.

The relationship between Tanner and Scarlett is one of immediate attraction but Scarlett believes she doesn’t have time for a relationship, and Tanner is convinced there is always time for love. When Tanner’s past targets Scarlett in a game of revenge, Tanner becomes Scarlett’s personal guardian, a guardianship that will end when the good guys win. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are reintroduced to Tanner’s business partners at the night club TEN29-Jason Dare, and his girlfriend Faith ( More Than Sexy aka Sexy Dare #1), as well as Landon Bennett; and Scarlett’s best friend and fellow attorney Leigh Michaels. Landon’s story line is next.

TWICE AS SEXY is the story of betrayal and revenge; of justice and retribution; of family, friendship, romance and love. The premise is lively and moving; the romance is spicy and flirty; the characters are sassy and strong. TWICE AS SEXY is an intoxicating and energetic addition to Carly’s SEXY series.

Scarlett didn’t know where her sudden burst of courage came from, but she wasn’t about to turn away now. Not when she had the sexiest man she’d ever laid eyes on ready to take her to bed. Her body trembled with desire and an awareness that something special was about to happen between them. Especially with the way Tanner’s eyes darkened at her bold, certain words of reassurance.
Grasping her hand, he led her back into the main room and to the elevator he’d walked out of earlier. He hit a button and the doors slid open. No sooner were they enclosed in the small area than she found herself surrounded by the sensual scent of his masculine cologne and by the man himself.
He hit the floor number, then backed her against the wall and braced his hips against hers. The hardness of his erection pressed into her sex, and she moaned at the anticipation of what was to come, her underwear growing damp with arousal.
“Make no mistake. You might have been the one to convince me but I’m taking control now.”
No man in her past ever spoke to her in such a self-assured, dominant way. To her surprise, she liked it. Hell, her perky nipples were proof of that, and he was looking down at the evidence with dilated pupils. Before she could respond, the elevator dinged and the doors slid open.
Holding her hand once more, he led her down a short hall and unlocked the sole door. She stepped into the apartment, which was smaller than she’d anticipated, realizing immediately he didn’t live here. There were no personal effects anywhere on the shelves, and the steel and white décor gave a sterile feeling to the place.
The door shut behind them.
“We share the apartment, my partners and I,” he said, as if reading her mind. “Whoever has the night shift uses it if they don’t feel like going home late. Although since Jason got married, it’s just me and Landon.”
She looked around once more. “It’s beautiful. Just very empty,” she murmured.
He shrugged, sliding his jacket off his broad shoulders. “It serves a purpose.”
“Do you bring many women up here?” he asked, unable to withhold her curiosity. After all, he was a hot guy with easy access to a bed above where he worked.
His sharp gaze slid to hers. “None. At least not anymore.” He hesitated before going on. “I admit when we first opened the club, the women throwing themselves at me were a novelty that I indulged, but after a while, they all seemed to have an agenda.”
“Such as?” she asked.
“They assumed because I owned the club I had money, and they wanted to be the woman on my arm permanently.”
His voice turned bitter and she didn’t blame him. “You don’t have to worry about that with me. My job and my life are too full to want anything more than one night.”
A sinful smile curved his lips. “So I’m your birthday present?”
She nodded. “And I can’t wait to unwrap you.”

Royal Playboy (Playboy Prince #1) by Nana Malone-a review

ROYAL PLAYBOY (Playboy Prince #1) by Nana Malone-a review

Amazon.com / Amazon.ca / B&N / KOBO / Google Play

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date January 7, 2020

Vengeance is best served piping hot.
Prodigal Son. Black Sheep. Playboy Prince.
I’ve been called lots of things. Merciful is not one of them.
It doesn’t matter what you call me, as long as I get what I want…
What I crave.

And it’s not the crown.

She is the Princess I didn’t see coming. The one I didn’t plan for.
Until her, women came easy.
Until her, I wasn’t sure I had a heart. Now that I know, I’ll give up anything to have her…
Well…almost anything.

•••••••••••••

REVIEW: ROYAL PLAYBOY is the first instalment in Nana Malone’s contemporary, adult PLAYBOY PRINCE erotic, romance duet focusing on British photographer Xander Chase, and American actress Imani Brooks. Xander and Imani were first introduced in the London Royal series focusing on Xander’s brother Lex.

NOTE: ROYAL PLAYBOY is the re-release of the author’s 2015 LONDON CALLING (Chase Brothers #2) with added, modified and expanded content.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Imani and Xander) following two timelines, ROYAL PLAYBOY follows the fake girlfriend/boyfriend relationship between photographer Xander Chase, and American actress Imani Brooks. Imani is desperate for money having received a call from her sister saying their alcoholic father had not been paying the bills. Researching for an upcoming role, Imani finds herself interviewing a high priced escort that will eventually pull our heroine into the darker side of life where she meets a man who only wants to talk. To Imani’s surprise said man is none other than renowned photographer Xander Chase, the photographer hired to shoot her latest promo pictures for an upcoming show. But all is not well in Xander Chase’s world, and our hero soon discovers he needs a ‘significant other’ in order to impress some potential clients, clients he needs for his journey of revenge. What ensues is the fake girlfriend/fiancé relationship between Imani and Xander that turns into something more, and the potential fall-out a Xander struggles with issues from the past, as Imani’s past is out to destroy her short-lived happiness in the arms of Xander Chase.

The relationship between Xander and Imani begins as a business exchange but Imani struggles with her attraction to Xander Chase. Their one night together results in emotions that neither one expected, emotions that will soon develop into something more. The $ex scenes are intimate and erotic but I struggle with the use of a certain four-letter word in my romance story line-erotic or otherwise.

The colorful secondary and supporting characters include Xander’s brother Alexi, and his girlfriend Abbie -first introduced in the newly renamed LONDON ROYAL series ; Imani’s father, and her sister Ebony; businessman and Xander’s nemesis Alistair McMahon: escort Miriam; director Charles Adams; and Imani’s ex boyfriend Ryan Ellison.

ROYAL PLAYBOY is a quick read; a story of betrayal and revenge; secrets and lies; attraction, relationships and love. The premise is captivating and engaging; the romance is heart breaking and provocative; the characters are broken, desperate, and energetic. Royal Playboy ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned

USA Today bestseller, Nana Malone’s love of all things romance and adventure started with a tattered romantic suspense she “borrowed” from her cousin.

It was a sultry summer afternoon in Ghana, and Nana was a precocious thirteen. She’s been in love with kick butt heroines ever since. With her overactive imagination, and channeling her inner Buffy, it was only a matter a time before she started creating her own characters.

While she waits for her chance at a job as a ninja assassin, in the meantime Nana works out her drama, passion and sass with fictional characters every bit as sassy and kick butt as she thinks she is.

Sandy’s Review:

WOLF GONE WILD is the first instalment in Juliette Cross’ contemporary, adult STAY A SPELL erotic, paranormal romance series focusing on the Savoie sisters. This is witch, waitress and aspiring artist Eveleen ‘Evie’ Savoie, and werewolf/ metal sculptor Mateo Cruz’ storyline.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Mateo and Evie) WOLF GONE WILD follows the building relationship between witch, waitress and aspiring artist Evie Savoie, and werewolf/ metal sculptor Mateo Cruz’. Mateo needs help. Someone has cast a spell, and our hero is unable to shift thusly allowing his blood lust to build to extraordinary levels. Hoping the Savoie sisters of New Orleans are able to help, Mateo approaches the witches in an effort to get the ‘hex’ removed. Enter Evie Savoie, witch and Hex-breaker, and the woman with whom Mateo will fall in love. What ensues is the slow building romance and relationship between Mateo and Evie, as Evie and her sisters struggle to unravel the hex that has spelled Mateo into something he’s not.

Evie Savoie is a powerful Hex-breaker but struggles with the spell surrounding the man that she loves. Unable to break through the layers of magic, Evie, along with her sisters Jules, Clara and Violet go in search of something else, a book that quite possible holds the cure to what ails Mateo Cruz. Mateo Cruz is a renowned metal sculptor who owns his own gallery in New Orleans but someone or something has bound Mateo’s powers, powers that are slowly tearing him apart, from the inside out.

The relationship between Mateo and Evie begins as a business arrangement as Evie is forced to work with a man she considers dangerous and dark. Witches and werewolves do not get along but something about Evie calls to Mateo when his Alpha demands Mateo make Evie their mate. The $ex scenes are limited but intimate, erotic and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful secondary and supporting characters. We are introduced to three of Evie’s sisters Jules, Clara and Violet; their mother Serena Savoie; Mateo’s assistant Missy; his cousin Nico; fellow artist Sandra; ancient vampire and overlord Ruben Dubois; witch and seer Beryl; numerous employees at the family run bar the Cauldron; Bam, the comic store owner, as well as Mateo’s alter ego-the Alpha; Z and Fred the bow-time wearing rooster.

The world building introduces the Savoie sisters-their personalities, their powers, and the individual specialities, as well as the different supernatural beings that inhabit New Orleans, Louisiana.

WOLF GONE WILD is a story of power and control; of betrayal and vengeance; of family, friendship, romance and love. The premise is imaginative and engaging; the characters are sassy, fun and flirty-there is plenty of non-stop back and forth between Evie and her sisters, as well as between Evie and Mateo, and Mateo and the Alpha; the romance is heart warming and energetic. WOLF GONE WILD is an animated and sensual introduction to Juliette Cross’ STAY A SPELL paranormal, romance series.

Barb’s Review:
Wolf Gone Wild
by Juliette Cross is the 1st book in her new Stay a Spell series.  I cannot say enough about Juliette, who is one of my favorite authors.   She never fails…never ever…to give us a fantastic story in an equally fantastic series.   Did I like Wolf Gone Wild??  I loved it, and was thrilled to see a different kind of series for Juliette.  Loved all the witches and werewolves….awesome.

Mateo Cruz, our hero, is a wolf shifter and has not been able to shift to his wolf for over three months; his inner wolf has been driving him crazy with loud, snarky and violent comments. He knows something is wrong, that he is cursed; so, desperation drives Mateo to seek out a witch who is known to be a hex-breaker.  The problem?  Witches do not help werewolves.

Evie Savoie, our heroine, is the hex-breaker in her witch family, the Savoie sisters.  Evie is working at a local bar, where she meets with clients, and immediately notices Mateo.  She tries to avoid him, knowing the rules…no werewolves; but Evie sees the desperation in his eyes, not to mention her immediate attraction. To make matters worse, Mateo’s wolf (Alpha) is constantly yelling to him about his insatiable desire for the pretty witch.

Evie decides to help Mateo, and brings him home for her to plead her case to her sisters, each of whom have their own powers.  They all agree to help Mateo find out who has cursed him, even though they discover that he has been affected by a powerful witch.

What follows is an exciting, intense, and sexy adventure to save Mateo.  Juliette’s addition of Alpha, was not only downright dirty, but a lot of fun too.  I loved Evie and Mateo together (with the added comments from Alpha); they did make a fabulous sexy couple with amazing chemistry.  No surprise here, as Juliette always comes up with fantastic couples.  The sisters were also great, especially Jules, Violet and Clara, just to name a few; I can’t wait to meet them all in the future books.

Wolf Gone Wild was so well written by Juliette Cross.  To tell too much more would be spoilers.  If you enjoy a paranormal romance, exciting action, surprise twists, great secondary characters, and a couple that has sizzling chemistry; you need to read this book.  I cannot wait to see what Juliette has in store for us next.

Love Her or Lose Her by Tessa Bailey-a review

Love Her or Lose Her by Tessa Bailey-a review

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date January 14, 2020

Rosie and Dominic Vega are the perfect couple: high school sweethearts, best friends, madly in love. Well, they used to be anyway. Now Rosie’s lucky to get a caveman grunt from the ex-soldier every time she walks in the door. Dom is faithful and a great provider, but the man she fell in love with ten years ago is nowhere to be found. When her girlfriends encourage Rosie to demand more out of life and pursue her dream of opening a restaurant, she decides to demand more out of love, too. Three words: marriage boot camp.

Never in a million years did Rosie believe her stoic, too-manly-to-emote husband would actually agree to relationship rehab with a weed-smoking hippy. Dom talking about feelings? Sitting on pillows? Communing with nature? Learning love languages? Nope. But to her surprise, he’s all in, and it forces her to admit her own role in their cracked foundation. As they complete one ridiculous—yet surprisingly helpful—assignment after another, their remodeled relationship gets stronger than ever. Except just as they’re getting back on track, Rosie discovers Dom has a secret… and it could demolish everything.

••••••••••

REVIEW: LOVE HER OR LOSE HER is the second instalment in Tessa Bailey’s contemporary, adult HOT AND HAMMERED erotic, romance series. This is Dominic and Rosie Vega’s story line.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Rosie and Dominic) LOVE HER OR LOSE HER follows the crumbling relationship between married couple Rosie and Dominic Vega. Rosie has had enough and finally decides that she no longer loves the man her husband has become since his return from active duty, but Dominic isn’t going down without a fight. When his wife suggests ‘extreme’ couple’s counselling, Dominic jumps at the chance to make everything right, a jump that finds him relearning to seduce the woman he already loves. What ensues is rebuilding romance and relationship between Dominic and Rosie, and the potential fall-out when Dominic finally reveals a secret he has kept for close to a year.

Rosie Vega has always wanted to open her own restaurant, and with the help of her friends and a GoFundMe page, Rosie sets out to make her dream come true. Dominic will do anything to put his marriage back together including following the instructions set out by their eccentric counsellor but when Dominic discovers that Rosie is going ahead with her plans for a restaurant, Dominic takes matters into his own hands thereby revealing a secret he has kept from the woman he loves. Herein lies a bit of a conundrum for me: yes, Dominic has a secret; he should have included his wife in his decision but to I did not believe that his actions warranted Rosie’s response.

The relationship between Rosie and Dominic has become stagnant and static. Dominic is over-protective of Rosie, but our heroine is oblivious to the extent to which her husband will go. The only thing our couple have in common is their fantastic sex life but there is more to marriage and relationships than amazing sex. The fact that Dominic was willing to give therapy a chance meant our hero was willing to step up to make things better. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including Travis and Georgie; Stephen and Kristin, Bethany, and newcomer Wes Daniels. There may be something developing between Bethany and Wes.

LOVE HER OR LOSE HER is a story of family, friendships, relationships and love. The premise is engaging and entertaining; the relationship struggles in the face of their deteriorating marriage; the characters are dynamic and captivating but I want to address the blurb that states Love Her or Lose Her is a romantic comedy because, IMO, there was very little humor or comedic text. I guess one person’s comedy is another person’s tragedy.

Inside those four walls, she met her husband, best friend, and discovered the magic of classic rock, managing to put herself through Kingsborough Community College and the English program at Pace University at the same time. Several stunted attempts to enter the work force as a journalist followed, but romance writing continued to demand her attention.

Keystone by Katie Delahanty – a Review

Keystone by Katie Delahanty – a Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo / BAM / Book Depository / Apple

Description:
When Ella Karman debuts on the Social Stock Exchange, she finds out life as a high-profile “Influencer” isn’t what she expected. Everyone around her is consumed by their rankings, in creating the smoke and mirrors that make them the envy of the world. But then Ella’s best friend betrays her, her rankings tank, and she loses—everything.

Leaving her old life behind, she joins Keystone, a secret school for thieves, where students are being trained to steal everything analog and original because something—or someone—is changing history to suit their needs.

Partnered with the annoyingly hot—and utterly impossible—Garrett Alexander, who has plenty of his own secrets, Ella is forced to return to the Influencer world, while unraveling a conspiracy that began decades ago.

One wrong move and she could lose everything—again.

 Review:

Keystone by Katie Delahanty is a little different from what I usually read. It’s basically a story of social media gone mad!! From birth you are put on a social platform, your whole life is for public viewing, the more views you get, the more adulation you get. If your at the top of the “social stock exchange” then there is nothing you won’t do to stay there…..

Once you get use to the jumping from past to present it an interesting read. Ella is the product of a social moment (no love) her “parents” did it to provide themselves with more ratings.

And when Ella meets a young man, (but that’s not in her timeline yet,) he has to go, and Ella is punished!!

Meeting social outcasts (or disconnects) Ella realises there is more to life than popping your life out there for all to view. And they take her to Keystone…..

Keystone is like a school for thieves. And Ella is totally out of her comfort zone. The school needs to prove to the world that someone is out to change the past. Why? And for what gain? So they steal analogue (books and anything that’s not digital)

The interaction between Garrett and Ella (she’s now called Elisha) is fun to read, their bickering will surely lead to something, (even thoughts has a girlfriend) and finding true friends, but the fake friends she had outside of Keystone.

All this makes good reading. And all the secrets everyone has. What is Garrett hiding? Will Ella tell him about her parentage?

With the cliffhanger ending, you know I’m going to need the answer…..

How much are you willing to trust a liar?
“Promise you won’t break my heart, Brax.”

He promised. I believed.
Brax Kent was a liar.
He shattered every possible piece of me.
Several years passed before I got through an entire day without shedding a tear.
My existence was hollow, empty, bleak.
Hate was the only thing that pushed me through the day.
Seven years later, who turns up to be my next door neighbor?
The man I despise with every ounce of my being.
And now he wants me back.
With flowery words and sworn oaths full of apologies, he begs.
Can this man who ruined me be trusted?
Only his obstinance, persistence, and beautiful face weaken my resolve.
And I stupidly expose my heart as he wedges himself inside, bit by bit.
Surrendering completely may mean absolute love, or absolute destruction.
The choice is mine.
Cross the line in the sand, or stay in my safe zone.

REVIEW: As a first-time reader to AM. Hargrove, I was unsure what I was going to
get, but I was pleasantly surprised with this story that I was going back
and reading whatever I could get my hands on.

The third in the West Sisters series, One Blissful Night is a novel that
will wraps its arms around you and hold you close. This journey starts in
high school and leads them into adult life, Reynolds and Braxton’s
turbulent path is rocked with emotions, reunions, drama and love. Twists
and turns, page turning drama and a second chance at love, will Braxton and
Reynolds take their second chance and let go of the past, or are they
doomed to repeat their mistakes?

I loved this story, unfortunately I did not read them in order, but as a
standalone it is just as good. I couldn’t put it down, once started, you
will want to finish it or all you will think about it what is going to
happen next! I look forward to reading more by AM. Hargrove and recommend
it for any reader that likes a good ole fashion second chance romance.

••••••••

REVIEW: NEIGHBOR GIRL is the second instalment in Georgia Cates’s contemporary, adult SOUTHER GIRL erotic, romance series focusing on three friends-Lucas ‘Tap’ Broussard, Oliver ‘Stout’ Thorn, and Porter Beckman of Lovibond Brewery. This is Lovibond co-owner Oliver Thorn, and events coordinator Adelyn Maxwell’s story line. We were first introduced to Oliver in book 1-Bohemian Girl (previously TAP)-Oliver is Lawry’s brother. NEIGHBOR GIRL can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

NOTE: NEIGHBOR GIRL was originally released as STOUT, the second instalment in the author’s previously titled Lovibond series.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Adelyn and Oliver aka Max and Thorn) NEIGHBOR GIRL focuses on the building relationship between new neighbors Adelyn and Oliver-a relationship that begins with a welcome to the neighborhood basket of baked goodies, a nosy sister who asks all of the right questions, and a PR event for Lovibond Brewery. What ensues is a slow building relationship between two people whose previous love matches resulted in broken and destroyed hearts. Trust must earned, and in this, our couple find themselves at odds on more than one occasion.

The attraction between Adelyn and Oliver is immediate and visceral but neither one is willing to act on their feelings and emotions. Their first night together finds Oliver out of his comfort zone, and out of Adelyn’s immediate life. Adelyns’s needs in the bedroom find Oliver focusing on the past. The $ex scenes are erotic, seductive and provocative.

NEIGHBOR GIRL has a large ensemble of secondary and supporting characters including Lawry and Luke from Bohemian Girl #1; Lawry and Oliver’s amazing parents; and Adelyn’s preacher father and his wife. We are also introduced to several friends and acquaintances, as well as Oliver’s new PA who may or may not be having an affair with Porter. Lawry’s friends Kelsey and Ivy make a cameo appearance at Oliver’s thirtieth birthday party-these girls like to tell it like it is. The world building continues to focus on the ‘craft beer’ industry though not as detailed as book one.

Georgia Cates seduces the reader with her stories of romance, love, family and a HEA. The premise is moving and compelling; the characters are captivating, entertaining and passionate; the romance is sensual and spirited. NEIGHBOR GIRL looks at heartbreak and betrayal; love and understanding; moving forward and letting go of the past.

Craft beer and the sexy men who brew it.

A faceless name. That’s all she was when I agreed to play a part in deceiving her. But then the unplanned happened.

We met. And all I wanted from her was a dirty weekend . . . until that wasn’t enough and I longed for so much more.

Lawrence Thorn suddenly means the world to me. And that’s a problem. She’s my business partner’s sister. Forbidden fruit. Pursuing her can mean trouble for me at Lovibond Brewery. But I don’t care.

I yearn for her skin against mine.
I crave her smell on my body.
I want to make her laugh and then hear her moan my name.
And she does for a brief moment in time.

But Lawrence wants more than I’m able to give. And it’s a damn shame because there’s no one on earth I want more than her.

An epic love.
A miserable ending.
Unless it’s not.

REVIEW: BOHEMIAN GIRL is the first installment in Georgia Cates contemporary, adult SOUTHERN GIRL erotic romance series focusing on three friends-Tap, Stout (Ollie), and Porter of Lovibond Brewery. This is Lovibond co-owner Lucas ‘Tap’ Broussard, and hippie boutique owner Lawrence ‘Wren’ Thorn’s story line.

NOTE: BOHEMIAN GIRL is the re-release of the author’s originally titled novel TAP (Lovibond #1)

Told from alternating first person points of view (Tap and Wren) TAP follows the building, forbidden relationship between Tap and Wren. Tap is partnered with Ollie and Porter in the Lovibond brewery but when Ollie (aka Stout) must enter rehab as a result of a DUI and weeks of binge drinking following the break up with his latest girlfriend, he makes Tap promise not to reveal the truth to Ollie’s sister. What ensues is a building relationship between Tap and Wren, based upon fake text messages and lies believed to be from Ollie to Wren.

TAP is a story line that also focuses on the craft beer fad; behind the scenes of a successful business; and the reality of falling in love against the odds. Wren and Ollie’s past is darkened by a history of drug abuse and neglect; Tap’s recent past finds our hero making no promises for the future when he can’t let go of the heartbreak and pain.

The relationship between Tap and Wren begins as a series of lies and deceit that will blossom into a sexual affair they continue to keep secret from family, friends and especially Ollie Thorn. Ollie (Stout) warns Tap to keep away from his older sister but the heart is willing to risk everything for love-a love that will falter with the sins from the past. Tap’s backstory is heartbreaking and defines a good portion of his emotional and mental health. He is a man who will not promise the future because he refuses to believe in marriage or love.

BOHEMIAN GIRL has a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Tap’s partners in the Lovibond Brewery-Ollie and Porter- as well as Wren’s friend and boutique co-owner Kelsey, and their best friend Ivy. We are also introduced to Tap and Wren’s parents, and Tap’s ex Bridgette and her new husband Warren. Tap’s past and current relationship with his ex plays a large role throughout the story.

BOHEMIAN GIRL is a tale about love and loss; heartbreak and grief; secrets and lies. The premise is heart-warming in the face of so many obstacles; the characters are colorful and energetic; the romance is a slow build to a happily ever after. The epilogue fast forwards the story line several years-which makes me wonder where STOUT’S story will begin.

REVIEW: SIREN REBORN is the eighth instalment in Lexi Blake’s (aka Sophia Oak) contemporary, adult TEXAS SIRENS erotic, romantic suspense series. This is businessman Cole Roberts, attorney Mason Scott, and Katherine ‘Kitten’ Taylor’s story line. SIREN REBORN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary although I recommend reading the series in order as Kitten’s story line has been building from the start.

NOTE: SIREN REBORN is a story with MM, MMF, MFM, and MF sexual situations that may not be suitable for more sensitive readers.

SIREN REBORN is the re-release and re-edited version of the author’s 2014 book written as Sophie Oak, of the same title.

Told from three third person perspectives (Cole, Mason and Kitten) SIREN REBORN follows the building relationship between Dom Cole, Switch Mason and submissive Kitten, and the second chance romance between Mason and Cole. From their early teens, Cole and Mason have been best friends and lovers. Cole Roberts was always the Dominant in their friendship and relationship but the death of their submissive a few years earlier pushed Mason Scott out of Cole’s life, a push predicated on grief, guilt and blame. Fast forward to present day wherein Mason finds himself the target of a potential threat, landing himself in the hospital, only to be released into the custody of Mason’s newest sub. Enter Kitten Taylor, the woman with whom both Cole and Mason will fall in love. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship and romance between Cole, Mason and Kitten, and the potential fall-out as our trio is targeted in a game of cat and mouse, a game meant to destroy the loves of Cade Robert’s life; and Mason’s need for revenge that is overshadowed by the threats to their lives.

Katherine Taylor aka Kitten is a survivor of domestic abuse at the hands of her father, and a cruel Dom. Years in therapy, our heroine struggles with her place in the world of BDSM, a place she is hoping to find beside Mason and Cole but all is not well in Cole’s less than well ordered world, a world that is about to come crashing down with the return of Mason Scott, and all of the issues of trust that have yet to be abated.

The relationship between Mason and Cole is one of second chances; a relationship destroyed by secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, and the death of their mutual submissive that Cole blamed upon the man that he loved. Mason is quick to find peace and happiness with Kitten but Kitten struggles in her relationship with Cole believing she is not worthy based on Cole’s actions and less than Dominant treatment of our story line heroine. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and familiar secondary and supporting characters including several of the previous story line couples and players: Master Julian, Kitten’s cousin Finn, Nate, Nat, Chase, Darin, Callie, Gemma, Zane, Jesse, Cade; Cole’s housekeeper Ms.Hamilton, and his PA Lea Schneider.

SIREN REBORN is a story of betrayal and lies; revenge and recovery; forgiveness and love. The premise is intriguing and entertaining; the romance is heavy and hot; the characters are broken, healing, energetic and strong.

Kitten found herself smiling as she entered the living room. When Ms. Hamilton had told her the police were here to talk to Mason, she’d gotten scared. Police tended to mean someone was in serious trouble, and perhaps Mason was, but this was a friendly face. “Darin!”
Darin Craig was married to her friend Tara. He was also a Dom at The Club. A tall, well-built man, Darin gave her a grin before opening his arms to her. He was athletic, with dark hair and warm brown eyes. “How’s our Kitty Cat?”
After the pressure of the day, it was good to see someone she knew. She walked into his hug, wrapping her arms around his neck and accepting the needed affection. The thing she missed most about The Club were the hugs and touches and handholding with friends. “I am well, Master Darin.”
“Darin.” Cole’s voice sounded positively arctic as he walked into the room.
“Wow, I thought she was your sub, Cole. I didn’t know she belonged to Detective Craig.” Mason’s voice wasn’t exactly warm, either. “Have the rules of The Club changed, then? Is Julian allowing Doms to manhandle someone else’s sub?”
Darin slowly released her, an apologetic expression on his face. He took a step back, holding his hands up as though in surrender. “Sorry about that. Kitty Cat is just a friend.”
“Kitten or Katherine is preferred,” Cole said between gritted teeth.
“Her name is a term of affection. You don’t need to come up with your own.” Mason stood beside Cole, both men frowning Darin’s way.
She’d done something wrong again. “Master Darin is only a friend. He’s my friend’s husband. There’s nothing going on between us.”
Cole stopped glaring at Darin and seemed at a loss for what to say. “Sweetheart, I wasn’t trying to say something about you.”
Mason’s expression softened. “What the Master is trying to say is he knows how sweet you are. He became jealous when he saw you in another man’s arms. You’re gorgeous, honey. You have to expect that men will get possessive.”
He was a charmer. She knew exactly what he was doing and still couldn’t help the smile that crossed her face.
“Mason is right. I was jealous. You rarely hug me with such enthusiasm,” Cole said.
Master Cole wanted hugs? He seemed so distant that she held herself apart, but what if he simply wasn’t sure how to ask for what he needed? Doms were merely men. Kitten gave him her most brilliant smile and basically tackled him. If her Master needed affection, she would be the one to give it to him.
Cole’s big arms wound around her, and she felt him sigh as he lifted her up. He was so big. Her feet didn’t touch the floor, but she loved how secure she felt with him when he touched her. It was only when they were apart that she worried. Cole rubbed their cheeks together. “I am sorry I scared you before, love. I don’t ever want you to be afraid of me.”
“No, Sir. I won’t be afraid.” She was still smiling as he lowered her down. She turned to Mason. He was a man who needed hugs, too, but she worried that her Master wouldn’t like it.
Cole chuckled. “Go on, then. I’ll simply have to deal with the fact that you’re an affectionate thing. Hug away.”
She gave Mason a gentler hug, well aware he was still not feeling well. When she was done, she placed herself between them, enjoying how the two big men surrounded her. “Master Darin, were you attempting to begin an inappropriate affair with me? Because I have to warn you, I promised Tara I wouldn’t sleep with you when she wasn’t around.”
Tara and Darin were always joking about their crazy sex life. They loved it when their friends joined in. Not for the sex, but for the laughter.
Darin let loose a laugh. “I will remember that in the future, Kitty Ca, uhm, Kitten.” He sobered. “I didn’t come here to see you. I came to talk to Mason. You left the hospital before I got there. I was surprised to find out you were at Cole’s.”
Darin knew Mason. That was interesting. Darin and Tara had been playing at The Club for the entirety of their marriage. Ten years. They had likely been friendly with Cole when Mason had been his submissive.
Tara was getting a phone call later because she was utterly fascinated with the men and why they had broken up.
And maybe, just maybe, she could tell Kitten how she could get them back together.
She hadn’t missed how the two men had looked at each other. Yes, there had been suspicion and anger in their gazes, but there had been such a spark, and Master Cole was already softening up and it had everything to do with Mason. Mason had walked in the door and suddenly the house seemed warmer, more filled with emotion.
