ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 24, 2020

Raiden Kent. Wealthy. Possessive. Commanding.

To say his intense reaction to Scottie Sullivan barging into his life shocked him was an understatement.

Shrewd, savvy, confident, the former DEA agent ran circles around him in cyber security, his specialty.

Her curves and beauty made focusing on business absurd.

Raiden couldn’t predict Scottie would be his guardian angel in disguise, or how badly he needed her protection.

The day she saved his life made that clear.

Now he had to choose if having Scottie by his side was worth the angst she created.

Could he handle the constant threats hanging over her head each time she strode out the door?

Would her insistence on playing hero be their destruction?
Raiden recognized one thing.

A strong, independent woman like Scottie would never be dictated to.
He had a choice to make that would change everything.

REVIEW: A.M Hargrove’s new novel Raiden is the second in the Kent Brothers series. Acer is the first book, and normally I wouldn’t press a read, but without reading them in order, I think new readers may find themselves lost in the story.

Raiden is a good read, those who love total bada** ladies and over the top alphas, this is the read for you. Scottie is awesome, take no crap, independent woman who can kick some criminal booty. Raiden…Raiden I was unsure about when I first started reading, he came off cold and silent, wasn’t a big fan of that, but I did like the nerd vibe. This is a very fast paced book and there are sections that are to keep up with, one moment they are doing one thing and the next a sexy scene is coming at you out of left field. Still a good read, but a little difficult in some places.

Their chemistry is sizzling, the action always going, toss in surviving killers and dodging bullets and you’re all set for a suspenseful romance. Acer’s book was great, Raiden’s book was very good, Cruze’s book can’t come soon enough.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 22, 2020

“You know you can’t keep a good brother down.”

The Chaos Motorcycle Club has won its war. But not every brother rode into the sunset with his woman on the back of his bike.

Chaos returns with the story of Dutch Black, a man whose father was the moral compass of the Club, until he was murdered. And the man who raised Dutch protected the Club at all costs. That combination is the man Dutch is intent on becoming.

It’s also the man that Dutch is going to go all out to give to his woman.

**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you’ll enjoy each one as much as we do.**

••••••••

REVIEW: WILD FIRE is the 6.5 addition in Kristen Ashley’s contemporary, adult CHAOS erotic, MC romance series and the latest 1000 Dark Nights multi-authored series. This is Chaos member Dutch Black, and journalist Georgiana ‘Georgie’ Traylor’s story line. WILD FIRE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary. Some of the characters from the author’s Rock Chick series cross over. Dutch and Jag are the sons of Keely Black (Wild Like the Wind #5).

Told from dual third person perspectives (Dutch and Georgie) WILD FIRE follows the building relationship between Chaos member Dutch Black, and journalist Georgiana ‘Georgie’ Traylor. Dutch Black was doing his brother a favor when he was asked to pick up Jag’s girlfriend’s sister Georgiana from the Denver International Airport but Georgie took an immediate dislike to our story line hero for who he was and what he represents. Words said in haste and anger between our couple were followed by apologies when they quickly discovered a common thread when it comes to helping children in trouble. Georgie, as in investigative journalist, was struggling with the never ending heart breaking stories of the student loan crisis, and was having a crisis of ‘faith’ so to speak as it pertained to her direction in reporting. Meanwhile Dutch was battling with himself in regards to Carlyle, a young seventeen year-old boy at the local youth shelter, who witnessed his father’s murder, as said young man was slowly turning from family and friends. After a night of surprises including finding Georgie placing herself in danger, our couple decided to work together, with the help of the MC, in an effort to find the people responsible for killing a man who was only trying to protect his family. What ensue is the quick building romance and relationship between Georgie and Dutch, as the begin an investigation of their own into the death of a husband and father.

The relationship between Georgie and Dutch begins acrimoniously as Georgie is quick to judge Dutch for his MC lifestyle. With Georgie’s sister Carolyn currently in a relationship with Dutch’s brother Jag, secrets are quickly revealed that will pull the brothers together but push the sisters further apart. As Georgie and Dutch’s relationship turns personal and sexual, Dutch’s mother Keely sees something in her son she hasn’t seen for a very long time. The $ex scene are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and familiar characters including Dutch’s brother Jag, and their mother Keely and her husband Hound; most of the Chaos MC members including Tack and Rush; Georgie’s sister Carolyn; and Georgie’s cat Murtagh. The back and forth between the MC members and the Black family is often frenetic and fun.

WILD FIRE is a story of family, friendships, heart break and love; of secrets and lies; betrayal and loss. The fast paced and character driven premise is edgy and encouraging ; the characters are sassy and spirited; the romance is provocative and captivating.

“Invisible Man, this for you, or someone else?” Duke asked, taking Dutch’s attention, and Dutch realized he was so lost to his thoughts, he was working on autopilot and hadn’t noticed he’d approached the register and laid down his books.
“Someone else,” Dutch answered.
“You read it?” Duke asked.
“Yeah,” Dutch told him.
“Whole world should read it,” Duke muttered, jabbing a thick finger against the screen of the tablet that stood in for a till.
“Yeah,” Dutch agreed. “Listen, you wouldn’t have any copies of The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas that haven’t been shelved yet, would you?”
Duke shook his head. “Not many givin’ up that book. We get one, you want me to call you?”
He could go to Barnes and Noble, easy.
With Tex as her barista, not to mention Indy and her crew all being the subject of those books that had been published, so folks came in all the time, Indy wasn’t hurting for customers, or cash.
Still, Dutch bought his books exclusively from Fortnum’s.
And he had a lot of books.
He had no idea why Fortnum’s was his go-to. It wasn’t about buying local or any of that other millennial shit.
Thinking on it, it was the fact he liked the vibe.
It was the fact that walking in there was like walking into someone’s house.
Like coming home.
To family.
Shaking off his thoughts, he agreed, “That’d be cool.”
“You wanna stay for a cup o’ joe and a talk?” Duke asked, and Dutch hid his surprise.
The man hadn’t approached. Not in word or deed.
There were the looks he gave Dutch, the ones he exchanged with Tex.
But he never said dick.
“No, got shit to do this afternoon,” he lied.
He had no shit to do that afternoon.
Or at all.
Ever.
“Boy—” Duke started.
“I’m not a boy,” Dutch bit.
His temper wasn’t usually short, but these days, it could be.
This was why Duke blinked.
He then said, “Son—”
“I’m not your son either,” Dutch returned.
“Right then.” Duke’s voice was no longer a friendly rumble. It was tight. “First, my age can’t have escaped you, considerin’ all this gray hair and wrinkles, so you are a boy to me, and you will be until you’re sixty and I’m dead. And second, any man’s a man at all, a man that’s younger than him and obviously struggling is his son. A son he looks after.”
Christ, was he not hiding it?
“I’m not struggling,” he lied again.
“Dutch—”
“Brother, just ring me up so I can get on with my day,” Dutch demanded.
Duke was silent a beat.
He then finished ringing him up, and Dutch paid.
“No bag,” he grunted.
Duke slid the books over the counter toward Dutch.
Dutch had turned, avoiding Tex’s eyes as he did, and started heading toward the door when Duke called, “You know that door is always open, but the one to my cabin in Evergreen is too, man.”

Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA. She nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorise and she hadn’t taken her first breath!).

Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana but has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write.

Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

Her Accidental Highlander Husband by Allison B Hanson-a Review

Her Accidental Highlander Husband by Allison B Hanson-a Review

Amazon / B&N / Google Play / Apple

Description:
Marian Fletcher Blackley, Duchess of Endsmere, has been on the run from the English Crown for weeks since killing her abusive husband…no matter that it was self-defense. She has only one safe place to go—the MacKinlay clan in Scotland, where her sister is the laird’s wife.

War Chief Cameron MacKinlay has vowed never to marry after witnessing his widowed mother’s grief. He has his lands and his clan, and that’s enough for a good life. When one day a sprite of a lass comes running out of the forest with hounds nipping at her heels and an English bounty hunter not far behind, he feels compelled to save her by claiming the disheveled duchess is his wife. But he certainly didn’t intend to marry her for real!

And now he’ll do anything to protect her…

Review:

A fearsome and honorable war chief shields a woman in distress, and a marriage is his compensation?  Cameron MacKinlay wasn’t in pursuit of a handfasting, but he believed the lass, and he would do right by Marian.  Her Accidental Highlander Husband by Allison B. Hanson isn’t only awesome alliteration, it is a well-written historical romance that highlights hope in a haphazard race to Happily Ever After.  What can I say — it’s contagious ?  While this may have been the introductory novel, I could read about these characters for several books!

Now, about that distress…Marian was literally fleeing for her life.  She might have taken her husband’s, brute villain that he was, but self-defense was almost impossible to prove, what with a man’s legal right to beat his wife ?.  But desperate times called for desperate measures. Bonny as Marian was, Cam had made a solemn vow to forego marriage when he became his clan’s war chief.  Will Cam entertain the ruse to spare Marian’s life?

“They were legally wed, though Cameron was determined it would be in name only. It wouldn’t matter to him that a woman shared his name to stay out of a noose. So long as she didn’t carry expectations of him being a true husband.”

Riiiiiight…Despite the original, obligatory nature of the relationship between Marian and Cam, their chemistry was organic and undeniable. Cam was very patient with Marian’s skittish reactions and Marian tried her best not to condemn Cam for the violence suffered at her vile ex-husband’s hands.  As close as they were becoming, their relationship was a synchronous, inexorable pull, her unknown future was a looming threat.

“How much time did she have before she’d need to make a fateful decision? Years? Days? Mere hours? Before a messenger delivered the grim news…with orders from King Charles to take her back to England…

All their promises were nothing but empty words. Wishes cast into the wind. Neither of them had any control over what their future held. They only had here and now. And time, at least for her, was running out.”

While I enjoyed these characters immensely, swooned at their willingness to be vulnerable, moved to tears by special declarations or displays of fierce loyalty, I believe editing is in order for concise storytelling.  Nearing 60% and we had yet to encounter the Crown she feared so hot on her heels. There are only so many variations of delaying the inevitable goodbye before it borders on tedious.  Not to be unfeeling, but the circumvention loses the impact/poignancy after so many delays.

Allison B. Hanson delivers a great love story in Her Accidental Highlander Husband.  Marian and Cam are frantically thrust together, but show tremendous courage and character to support each other so wonderfully.  “There is no such thing as accident; it is fate misnamed.”. Consider me an instant fan.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date 14, 2020

We were destined for disaster from the second we met …

Massimo D’Agostino is the heir to his father’s empire.
Don’t be fooled by his handsome face, or that piercing blue gaze.
He’s no prince charming.
He’s dangerous and feared, possessive and fierce.

Our first meeting began with a contract that forced me to marry him and sign my life away.
I was a debt repayment and a pawn in his game to exact revenge against my father.
The only way out is death.

I belong to him now.
Me, the Balesteri Mafia Princess.
Pure and untouched…
Owned by the devil who placed me in a gilded cage.

But something unexpected happened the moment our paths collided.
It made me want more of what he had to offer every time I lay beneath him.

Then the past came knocking at the door and dark secrets scattered at my feet.
Suddenly I don’t know truth from lies.
Or, who the monster in this story is.
I thought it was my husband.
Now I’m not so sure…

••••••••

REVIEW:RUTHLESS PRINCE is the first instalment in Faith Summers’ contemporary, adult DARK SYNDICATE dark, erotic, Mafia romance series. This is twenty-nine year old, heir to the D’Agostino empire Massimo D’Agostino and nineteen year old, Mafia princess Emelia Balesteri’s story line.

WARNING: RUTHLESS PRINCE contains mature content, graphic violence, and triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Massimo and Emelia) RUTHLESS PRINCE follows in the aftermath of the D’Agostino family losing everything. Twelve years earlier the D’Agostino family lost their empire, their seat on the Syndicate, and the family matriarch to an apparent suicide, all with the aid of syndicate member and competing Mafia head Riccardo Balesteri. Fast forward to present day wherein, a now twenty-nine year old Massimo D’Agostino, the new head of the D’Agostino empire, seeks retribution for sins of the past starting with Riccardo’s nineteen year old daughter Emelia Balesteri as payment for a debt owed. Hours before her trip to Italy to study art, nineteen year old Emelia Balesteri would become the prisoner and reluctant fiancée of Massimo D’Agostino, the man she now blames for destroying her life. As Massimo and the D’Agostino family continue to tear apart the Balesteri empire, Riccardo Balesteri sets a plan into motion to destroy them all, in an effort take back everything and more.

Massimo D’Agostino vowed vengeance the day Riccardo Balesteri held a gun to Massimo’s then twelve year old head at his beloved mother’s funeral. Having humiliated Massimo’s father, and sent the family away with nothing but the clothes on their back, Riccardo slowly found himself deep in debt, owing his life and his business to the D’Agostino family. Handing over his daughter Emelia as partial payment for a debt owed, Emelia would quickly learn that all was not well in her father’s life. Oblivious to her father’s sins and his connection to the D’Agostino family, Emelia would become fodder, the spoils of war meant to be part of a bigger plan.

The relationship between Emelia and Massimo begins as an enemies to lovers, arranged Mafia marriage wherein Emelia continues to be a princess in a gilded cage. From the outset Massimo meant to break his beautiful Mafia princess but would soon discover that Emelia was the balm to his shattered heart. The $ex scenes are aggressive, intense and passionate but I struggled with the use of a certain four-letter word.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Massimo’s brothers Dominic, Andreas and Tristan, as well as their father Giacomo D’Agostino; Riccardo Balesteri; Bratva assassin Vlad Kuznetsov; Emelia’s best friend Jacob, housekeeper Priscilla, Candace, and Massimo’s ex Gabriella. Not everyone will survive to see another day.

RUTHLESS PRINCE is a story of family, blood, honor and death; a story of betrayal and vengeance; retribution and retaliation; deception, secrets and lies, power and control. The premise is gritty and dark; the characters are edgy and tragic; the romance is dramatic and provocative. The world building set the stage for the upcoming war as Massimo sets out to reform the Syndicate in the face of a new enemy known as the Circle of Shadows.

“You can’t have me,” I cry.
“The contract we signed earlier says different, Princess.” He smiles. “We will be married in one month’s time and that is all you need to know.”
“There must be some other way my father can pay you back. Let me go.”
“No. I’m the one the debt is owed. I choose how I want to be paid.”
“There must be some other way.”
“I’m sure there is, except I’ve done exactly what I wanted to do,” he answers.
My heart squeezes. This is the man I’m supposed to marry. While he looks like a fairytale prince, he’s not.
“It’s wrong. You must know that.”
“Stop it,” he orders. His smile fades. That cool, calm demeanor returns, and I realize then that this is his dangerous side. “Stop trying to prey on my good side. I don’t have one.”
“Don’t you have a heart?” I make one final attempt to reach whatever I see in him that might resemble something human.
“No.” He smirks, and my soul quivers.
This is crazy.
There’s only one thing I can do.
Escape…

A Sinful Encore (Brilliance #3) by Lisa Renee Jones-Review tour

A Sinful Encore (Brilliance #3) by Lisa Renee Jones-Review & Excerpt tour

Amazon.com / Amazon.ca / B&N / KOBO / Chapters Indigo /

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 22, 2020

You only thought you knew how this was going to end, but their story is far from over. The explosive finale is bound to leave you breathless. A Sinful Encore is the third and final book in the Brilliance trilogy.

••••••••

REVIEW:A SINFUL ENCORE is the third and final instalment in Lisa Renee Jones’ contemporary, adult BRILLIANCE erotic, romantic suspense trilogy focusing on musician/violinist Kace August, and twenty eight year old collector Aria Alard. A SINFUL ENCORE should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events of book two A WICKED SONG. Several characters from the author’s Inside Out, Savage Trilogy, Careless Whispers, and the Walker Brothers series cross over for familiarity.

NOTE: If you have not read the previous instalments there may be some spoilers in my review.

Told from first person perspective (Aria Alard Stradivari) A SINFUL ENCORE picks up immediately after the events of book two A WICKED SONG wherein Aria’s brother Gio’s return from Europe sparked anger and mistrust for our story line couple. Gio has been on the hunt for the elusive Stradivari formula, a formula known only to the Stradivari heirs but with their father missing and presumed dead, Gio and Aria Stradivari are not the only treasure hunters searching for the sought-after formula. Gio believes he has reason to distrust our story line hero, and in doing so, brings dangers to America, placing his sister’s life in jeopardy, forcing her to run. As Aria and Kace’s relationship turns more passionate and intense, their trip to Europe is fraught with questions and new acquaintances who reveal more than anyone could have imagined.

A SINFUL ENCORE is a story of family and friendships; betrayal and revenge; secrets, lies, romance and love. The character driven premise is intriguing, engaging and fascinating; the romance is tender, spicy and erotic; the characters are spirited, edgy and energetic. Most of the conflict resolution was behind the scene so the reader is not privy to the smaller nuances. Here’s hoping the author has plans for Gio’s story. A SINFUL ENCORE and the Brilliance Trilogy is a thrilling and sensual story of love, life and happily ever after.

I swallow hard, my lashes lower, my lips dry. Me and him. It’s just me and him and God, I do need the escape and I know, I just know, that he needs the trust. Still, I can’t believe I’m going to do this. I can’t believe how much I want to do this. “Yes.”

He doesn’t speak but I can feel his approval wash over me. He kisses my neck, the earthy scent of him seducing me and promising to test my limits. He unzips my skirt, and a second later, he’s sliding it down my hips, and with only a tiny pair of panties and thigh-high tights on, he’s easily exposing my naked backside. Nerves and anticipation overwhelm me and I’m all but shaking, but I don’t feel fear. His fingers caress down the silk strip between my cheeks and I yelp as he yanks it away with a biting tug. But already, he’s made me forget that bite.

His hands are on my backside and he leans in, his lips close, so very close to my ear, his warm breath fanning my skin, and promising forbidden fantasies I didn’t even know to call my own until now.

“What are you thinking, Aria?” he asks, the same way he’d asked me one time before when I was in the wrong place when I needed an escape.

“About us, Kace. About what you’re going to do to me.”

He turns me to face him, his expression pure possession, his eyes meeting mine. And I could swim forever in the sea of his blue eyes, as every wave breaking around me only sends me crashing right back to him. “What am I going to do to you?” he asks as if he needs to know I can say it as if he needs to know I want this.

I wet my parched lips and say, “Spank me.”

“And do you want me to spank you?” The question is a mixed challenge and a raw seduction.

Suddenly, I’m drowning in my own confusing desire, and my lashes lower, heat rushing to my cheeks when his hand cups my face and he tilts his gaze back to his. “Do you,” he says, enunciating the words, “want me to spank you?”

“I want to get out of my head. I want to escape. I want you.”

His eyes darkens. “That’s not an answer.”

The waves are breaking again and when I might drown, I don’t. I really do crash right back into him. “Yes.”

“Yes? Yes what, Aria?”

“I want you to spank me.”

His eye light with approval and that approval splays over me like blessed sunshine in the chilly snowfall. I don’t know why his approval arouses or pleases me, I don’t know what that says about me, or him for that matter, but there is no denying the burn in my belly. There is no denying his control, and my submission sends a thrill through me like no other. His hands fit my waist, possessiveness in his touch, a branding that feels right when with anyone else it would be wrong. His cheek presses to my cheek, the roughness of his newly formed stubble an erotic pinch on my sensitive skin. “Who’s in control?”

“I am,” I say, and I mean it. This is about choice. I know that when I say yes or no to with Kace, he will listen. “And right now, for just a little bit, I don’t want it,” I add, and for once in my life, I mean it. “Take it,” I add softly. “It’s yours.”

She didn’t know it was me.
She didn’t know that I had no choice and would do it again and again to save her.
I may as well have given her the mark on her finger.
The one that shows where her loyalty must lie.
Because we don’t sin in silence.
And eventually, you have to pay up what you owe.
My need to protect her turned into a lie to save her.
And when she found out—I turned in to the very monster I was trying to protect her from.
Watching Violet Abandonato walk out of my life was like a knife to the chest, a wound that refused to heal.
The bosses sent me to protect her, to watch over her even though I was the demon she fled.
We both carry scars.
But if all I can have is her hate for as long as I breathe.
I’ll take it.
Because at the end of the day, I should burn in Hell forever thinking Chase Abandonato’s perfect angel would pick me—over her perfect life.
“I broke you,” I confessed.
“The worst part… is that you liked it,” she snapped right back.

Welcome to the second generation of the mafia, may the best man or woman, be left standing.
May God bless our tainted souls.

REVIEW: SCANDALOUS PRINCE is the second full-length instalment in Rachel Van Dyken’s contemporary, new adult MAFIA ROYALS dark, mafia romance series, a next generation spin off set in the author’s Eagle Elite world.. SCANDALOUS PRINCE can be read as a stand alone: you do not have to have read the Eagle Elite series but I recommend the prequel novella Royal Bully for back story.

WARNING: SCANDALOUS PRINCE contains scenes of violence and assault that may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from four first person perspectives (Breaker, Violet, Valerian, Ash) SCANDALOUS PRINCE focuses on love, loss, betrayal, secrets and lies. Breaker Campisi has loved Violet Abandonato most of his life but Breaker knew he would never have been allowed to marry the woman he loved being the ‘adopted’ son of Capo Tex Campisi. With his life about to change direction, Breaker made plans that would break the heart of the woman he loved, and forever alter his connection with family and friends. When a new king of the Russian mob is crowned, Violet finds herself caught between love and hate as she is claimed by a stranger who professes to know everything and more about our story line heroine. Secrets run deep, betrayal and dishonesty are at the heart of the story as Violet must come to terms with her future, a future without the man that she loves.

SCANDALOUS PRINCE is a story of family, of blood, of perception, and power. In the world of the mafia, blood is power, and in this the rightful heir has claimed his throne. Valerian Petrov, back from the dead, takes controls in an effort to protect the woman he loves. One year earlier, Violet Abandonato, would be claimed by Valerian Petrov, and in doing so, sealed the fate and the families between the Cosa Nostra and the Russian mob.

Rachel Van Dyken pulls the reader into a tale of twists and revelations; of heart break, anguish and pain; of acceptance, retaliation, betrayal and love. The roller coaster premise is captivating and compelling; the romance is impassioned and fated; the characters are broken but strong, energetic and charismatic.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 21, 2020

Everything we’ve fought for grinds to a halt with the attack—our future happy-ever-after now a lost hope as I’m abducted from the wreckage.

There’s a traitor in our midst who’s working alongside my long-term enemy, eager to destroy it all. He wants me to give up, to hand the life I’ve fought tooth and nail to achieve over to him. If I do, the pain will end, but others will suffer.

How much can I take before Trey saves me from the terrible fate they’ve promised if I don’t comply?

This is it, the moment where I have to make a choice.
Me or the millions who will suffer under the sociopath’s hand if I give him what he wants.

I might have been raised poor trailer trash, but that’s not who I am now.
My name’s Randi Sawyer, and I’m the president of the United States.
I will not bend. I will not break.

REVIEW: POWER TERM is the fifth and final? Instalment in Kennedy L Mitchell’s contemporary, adult POWER PLAY romantic suspense series focusing on attorney/ now US president Randi Sawyer, and Secret Service agent Trey Benson. POWER TERM should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events and cliff hanger of book four POWER SURGE.

NOTE: If you have not read the previous instalments, there may be some spoilers in my review.

WARNING: Due to the graphic nature of the story line premise, there may be some triggers for more sensitive readers.

SOME BACKGROUND: A few years earlier Randi Sawyer became the vice-presidential running mate to Kyle Birmingham, a man whose dirty politics run deadly and deep but in doing so Randi has angered a very powerful man who is determined to destroy our story line heroine. Now in the position as the US President, Randi continues to find herself the target of some very powerful people.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Trey and Randi) POWER TERM picks up immediately after the events of book four POWER SURGE wherein President Sawyer’s motorcade has come under fire leaving her entire security team dead or dying. Now in the hands of a sadistic assassin, Randi finds herself facing a familiar foe, a man who is desperate enough to destroy everyone Randi loves. As her lover and secret service agent Trey Benson begins a desperate search for the woman he loves, a call to the people in charge bring in some additional gunfire in an effort to uncover the whereabouts of Madam President.

POWER TERM is the culmination of five story lines focusing on attorney Randi Sawyer, whose entire life has been a struggle to prove she is worthy, and yet continues to find herself on the defensive when it comes to her life and her loves. Not everyone is happy that Randi ran for political office, and now that she sits in the highest political office in the US, Randi’s enemies continue to attack, this time success in reaching their target.

POWER TERM is a fast paced, story of political suspense; a story of betrayal and vengeance; jealousy and retribution; relationships, friendships and love. The premise is intriguing and exciting; the romance is passionate and heart breaking; the characters are resilient and captivating. POWER TERM ends on a bit of a cliff hanger with more story to tell-let’s wait and see if the author has any plans for Randi and Trey’s continuing story.
