REVIEW:LOVE IN NUMBERS is the first instalment in Scarlett Cole’s contemporary, adult LOVE DISTILLED erotic, romance series focusing on the Dyer siblings. This is Emerson Dyer and Connor Finch’s story line.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Connor and Emerson) LOVE IN NUMBERS follows the enemies to lovers relationship between Emerson Dyer, the new CEO of Dyer’s Gin distillery, and Connor Finch, the heir apparent to Finch Liquor Distribution. Years earlier, a rivalry between Emerson’s father and Connor’s dad made for bitter enemies, something our heroine and her siblings knew nothing about. Meeting Connor Finch at an awards dinner for the liquor industry gave Emerson pause for a future but her return home revealed her late father left the family owned company struggling to survive. As her relationship with Connor continued to grow, Emerson had no idea that her future, and the future of Dyer’s Gin hung in the balance. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Connor and Emerson, and the potential fall-out as sins from the past are about to be revealed.

The relationship between Connor and Emerson is an enemies to lovers, one of which Emerson had no idea. Connor’s father has sought revenge for what he perceived as betrayal and loss, and in this Connor battled between head and heart in his relationship with Emerson Dyer. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to Emerson’s brother Jake and sister Olivia, as well as Connor’s father Donovan, and uncle Cameron Finch.

LOVE IN NUMBERS is a story of betrayal and revenge; family and friendships, and unrequited love. The premise is captivating and entertaining; the characters are colorful, energetic and dynamic; the romance is provocative and intense.

When their lips met, he could taste the gin on her lips. Her tongue met his as boldly as the gin had done, bursting with life and flavor.

Her hand went around his neck, tugging him toward her, and he had half a mind to take her on the bar. Only the recollection that they were in her workplace stopped him from acting upon it.

When they finally broke for air, Emerson grinned. “When I said let it roll over the tongue, I meant yours not mine.”

“It tasted better on yours,” he said. “I needed a second opinion on the citrus.”

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October 20, 2020

There’s always the one that got away. Or kicked you out…

The new darling of rock n’ roll, Adam Dillon, is ready to show his ex-girlfriend, Jill Schwartz, what a mistake she made kicking him to the curb. So maybe he wasn’t the best of boyfriends. Writing great songs and climbing to the top of the charts isn’t easy. Only problem is, he’s fast finding out that success isn’t everything.

**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you’ll enjoy each one as much as we do.**

••••••••

REVIEW:LOVE SONG is a contemporary, adult, erotic rock romance novella in Kylie Scott’s STAGE DIVE series, and the latest instalment in the multi-authored 1001 Dark Nights. This is rock star Adam Dillon, and hair stylist Jill Schwartz’s story line. LOVE SONG can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Several of the Stage Dive members make cameo appearance for familiarity.

Told from first person point of view (Jill Schwartz) LOVE SONG follows the second chance romance between rock star Adam Dillon and hair stylist Jill Schwartz. One year earlier Jill Schwartz, tired of Adam’s antics and lack of commitment kicked Adam out with a heavy heart. Fast forward to present day whererin Adam, about to head out on his first world tour, comes face to face with his past, an angry but determined Jill Schwartz. What ensues is the quick rebuilding romance and relationship between Adam and Jill, and the potential fall-out as their time together quickly comes to a close.

Breaking up with Jill was both the best and worst things to happen to our story line hero. Writing an entire album focusing on the breakdown of their relationship pushed Adam Dillon to the top of the charts but said songs only revealed one side of their breakup, making Jill persona-non-grata in the eyes of Adam’s fans and music followers. Jill Schwartz struggled in the year after kicking Adam Dillon to the curb but a surprise ‘gift’ from the man that she loved forced Jill to confront all of her old feelings and her attraction to our story line hero.

The relationship between Adam and Jill is one of second chances; a rekindling romance that looks at success in the face of loss; regret, loneliness and love. The fast paced premise is entertaining and captivating; the romance is steamy and provocative; the characters are familiar, energetic, and fun (aka Mal). LOVE SONG is a quick read that revisits all of the Stage Dive couples -a welcome and anticipated return to the world of Kylie Scott’s rock stars and romance.

Prosecutor. Marine. Brother.
I thought I knew the man I was.
But in one moment, I found my real purpose: saving Nina de Vries.

On the outside, she seemed the perfect, icy aristocrat.
But I knew different.
Trapped by her monstrous husband and fear of her powerful family, Nina was begging to be saved.
And I was the only one who could do it.

Instead I broke her heart, and now I’ll stop at nothing to put it back together.
Because when fate introduces you the love of your life, you don’t walk away.
You fight for your chance, even if it means dragging the world down with you.

Nina and I were written in the stars.
That’s not even a question.
But will fate let us take our happy ending?
Or is our future one we’ll have to steal?

The Honest Affair is the epic conclusion of the Rose Gold Trilogy, a steamy, forbidden billionaire romance.

••••••

REVIEW: THE HONEST AFFAIR is the third and final instalment in Nicole French’s contemporary, adult ROSE GOLD erotic, dark romance trilogy focusing on thirty-six year old, former Marine, and criminal prosecutor Matthew Zola, and heiress and philanthropist Nina Gardner. THE HONEST AFFAIR should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events and cliff hanger of book two THE PERFECT WOMAN but I also recommend reading the Quicksilver series for back story and history. Matthew Zola and Nina Astor deVries Gardner were first introduced to the reader in the Quicksilver trilogy. The ROSE GOLD series is a spin off from the author’s Quicksilver series.

WARNING: If you have not read books one and two, there may be spoilers in my review.

SOME BACKGROUND: Months earlier, a one night stand between Nina and Matthew resulted in our hero desperately searching for the woman who got away. Matthew is the prosecuting attorney investigating the kidnapping of Jane DeVries (Quicksilver Series), and its’ criminal connections to the world of human trafficking and sexual slavery but to Matthew’s surprise the woman he could never forget turns out to be the cousin of Eric DeVries, Jane’s husband and billionaire businessman, and a woman with close connections to the people involved in the Jane’s kidnapping. The Rose Gold trilogy is Nina and Matthew’s story.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Nina and Matthew) and third person point of view, THE HONEST AFFAIR follows in the aftermath of Nina’s confessions; the potential connections to, and the arrest of the men involved in the kidnapping of Jane DeVries. Struggling with his attraction to, and love for Nina Gardner, Matthew Zola finds himself on the outside looking in when he is pulled from the investigation for crossing the line with a potential suspect, a married woman who is currently making headlines for all of the wrong reasons. With her life in shambles, Nina heads back to Italy where she is hoping to connect with her daughter’s extended family, a family that wants nothing to do with out story line heroine. Not wanting to leave Nina unprotected, Italian-speaking Matthew arrives in Italy to escort and protect the woman he loves where he will profess his undying need for our story line heroine. As Nina and Matthew’s relationship continues to build, the fall-out of the investigation back home begins to take on a life of its’ own. What ensues is the continuing love and forbidden relationship between Nina and Matthew, and the potential fall-out as Nina’s past comes looking for revenge.

Nina Astor deVries Gardner is a married woman, in an abusive relationship who is struggling to move on having filed for divorce in the wake of revelations and her growing love for another man but Nina’s life will continue to spiral as she becomes a suspect in the hideous and heinous crimes of the powerful and rich. A mother; an heiress stripped of her money; and no visible means of support, Nina will martyr herself in an effort to shut down the people responsible for the kidnapping her cousin’s wife. Matthew Zola has fallen in love with a married woman but is unaware to the extent of Nina’s hidden past. Having raised his sisters after the disappearance of their mother, Matthew battles between head and heart as he struggles to keep a place over their heads, and food on the table.

The relationship between Nina and Matthew is a forbidden love between a married woman, and the prosecuting attorney investigating the kidnapping of Nina’s cousin’s wife. Too many lines have been crossed by our story line hero as Nina’s ongoing nightmare continues to pull Matthew over the proverbial line. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful secondary and supporting characters including Eric and Jane DeVries (The Quicksilver Trilogy); Nina’s daughter Olivia; husband Calvin Gardner, and her former best friend Caitlyn Calvert; Matthew’s sisters Kate and Frankie; Frankie’s daughter Sofia, as well as Frankie’s ex Xavier; and numerous law enforcement and investigators including Detective Derek Kingston. The author has left several open-ended potential plot points for future series.

THE HONEST AFFAIR is a story of betrayal and vengeance; secrets and lies; power and control; love, relationships, friendships and family. The character driven premise is heart breaking, emotional and twisted; the romance is spicy, seductive and captivating; the characters are broken, healing, energetic and edgy. THE HONEST AFFAIR is a startling and sensual conclusion to the Rose Gold Trilogy.

••••••••

REVIEW:The final book in the awesome Steel Brother Saga, Descent is the conclusion to a series that has been one of my favorites for years. I have been waiting for this book since I finished the last one, and trust me when I say it doesn’t disappoint.

Descent is Brad and Daphne’s story, this is epic, tragic, surprising, and simply magnificent. We thought we knew the story, that we had everything figured out and that there were no more turns of us to take. The adventure was over.

Or so we thought.

Descent is most definitely going to surprise you, no way around it. Blows your socks off good! Brad is almost villain like, but it makes us love him all the more, as we get the finale of the book we learn things about Brad that are sure to make you scream. Daphne is a character I feel many people can relate to, her struggles, her strength of will. The love she has for her family.

Descent was just how I wanted the Steel Brothers Saga to end. Congratulations to the author, and a five out of five stars!!

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October 20, 2020.

There is no rest for the wicked.
And I have to confess, I have indeed been wicked.

I have one job. Protect the team by keeping Interpol Agent, Nyla Kincaid, off our backs and out of our hair by any means necessary. In the chess game of revenge, the queen reigns supreme. And unfortunately for me, she’s ready to topple the king.
She know what we did. What we stole. Who we burned. And she won’t stop until she unearths all of our secrets.

I might be a member of the Elite, but I’m done being a gentleman. If Nyla won’t stop, she’ll force me to play my hand.
I’m just as ruthless as she is, but unlike her, I don’t believe in rules.

My name is East Hale, and these are my confessions.

••••••••

REVIEW:EAST END is the first instalment in Nana Malone’s contemporary, adult HEAR NO EVIL erotic, romantic suspense trilogy. This is Interpol Agent Nyla Kincade, and Easton ‘East’ Hale’s story line. The HEAR NO EVIL trilogy is spin-off from, and interconnected series to the author’s SEE NO EVIL trilogy focusing on three friends: Ben Covington, Easton Hale, and Bridge Edgerton, known as the London Lords, and all members of The Elite-the uber rich and powerful of Eton Academy in London England. Ben and Olivia’s story was told in the SEE NO EVIL trilogy where most of the characters were first introduced.

SOME BACKGROUND: Approximately ten years earlier, during their initiation into the group known as The Elite, Ben Covington, Easton Hale, and Bridge Edgerton lost their best friend and fellow Elite pledge Toby Varma as things quickly spiralled out of control. Seeking revenge against the people and families they held responsible for Toby’s death, Ben, East and Bridge walk a fine line between right and wrong in an effort to take down everyone involved. These are their stories.

NOTE: EAST END can be read as a stand alone but for back story and history I recommend first reading the See No Evil Trilogy. The author includes references to a number of characters and events found in her other series.

Told from dual first person perspectives (East and Nyla) following several paths, EAST END picks up shortly after the events of book three in the See No Evil Trilogy- For Her Benefit- wherein the Van Linsted family, the once powerful family heading The Elite- found themselves the center of an investigation into the abuse and trafficking of women, among other unethical crimes. When the case against the Van Linsted family landed on Interpol Agent Nyla Kincade’s desk, our heroine didn’t stop with the Van Linsted’s but continued to investigate everyone involved including Easton Hale and the London Lords, against the orders from her superiors in charge. At every opportunity Easton and Nyla found themselves working against one another until threats from an unknown source pushed our couple together building towards a forbidden relationship between law enforcement and criminal activity. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Nyla and East, and the potential fall-out as converging paths of investigations, secrets and lies finds Nyla caught between East and the law; and East struggling with the potential betrayal of the woman with whom he is falling in love.

The relationship between East and Nyla is one of the forbidden. Nyla’s ex-boyfriend and her current superior Denning Sinclair is making Nyla’s life miserable using threats and intimidation, and the possibility of suspension from the job that she loves. East found himself drawn into the aura of the woman gunning for the London Lords but never expected to fall head first into a pit of betrayal and mistrust. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense without the use of over the stop, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters, some byway of mention (from the author’s other series): Ben Covington and Olivia (See No Evil trilogy); Bridge Edgerton; fellow London Lord Drew Wilcox; computer hacker Telly Brinx; East’s sister AJ and her wife Margaux; Lucas and Bryna (Royals Undone Series); Sebastian and Penny (Royals Undercover Series); Jessa and Roone (Royals United Series); Nyla’s fellow agent and partner Amelia; Nyla’s ex-boyfriend and Interpol agent Denning Sinclair; and her father Section Chief /Interpol Agent Roger Kincade. The requisite evil has many faces including Garrett Jameson and Francis Middleton.

EAST END, like the See No Evil trilogy is a story of lies and betrayal; of a secret society of the rich and famous; of power, control, friendships and love. The fast paced premise is intriguing, complex and engaging; the romance is passionate and captivating- the sexual chemistry is sizzling and hot; the characters are spirited, impulsive and edgy. EAST END ends on a cliff-hanger-you have been warned.

You have a problem.
Yes, I did. And the problem’s name was Nyla Kincade. Bringing her shawl up to my nose, I took a quick whiff and that heady combination of need and irritation lingered in my blood, sending me to the edge of desire. I watched her. I had never trained the camera on her bedroom, never looked in there, but the sight from her living room was what I focused on. And that was somehow more intimate. I watched her as she cooked and then plopped on her couch to watch TV. My favorite was her in her unicorn fitted pajamas. But that night, she wasn’t wearing her unicorn fitted pajamas. She strolled out of her bedroom in the tiniest pair of shorts I’d ever seen.
What I wanted to do was pick her up and put her over my knee, but a phone call would have to do.
Her words were quiet as she answered. “Hello?”
“Agent Kincade. You’ve been very naughty.”
Instead of hanging up on me, which she probably should have, she sighed. “East Hale. To what do I owe this very late phone call? Did you mistake my phone number for a phone sex line?”
“I can get women to talk dirty to me any time I like.”
Her chuckle was low. “I’ll bet you can.”
“For such a naughty little thing, I’d have thought you’d be more contrite.”
She strolled past her windows, hips sashaying as she went. All the blood in my rational brain rushed to my dick. “You are going to have to be more specific. This has been that kind of day. Did I scratch your precious car? Perhaps I made your day more difficult. And if you are going to tear me a new one, I would advise you maybe take a number. The line for that can get quite long, you see.”
I frowned at that. She’d had a hard day?
Not that it matters to you in the least.
Nope, it didn’t matter. But still, I didn’t want to make her day worse.
“I’m sorry you’ve had a shitty day. I have an idea or two of things that might cheer you up.”
Her chuckle was soft. Lilting. “Oh, I’m sure you do. But alas, that’s not going to happen. I don’t kiss arrogant men.”
“Now, don’t add lying to your day’s transgressions.”
“What is it you want, Mr. Hale?”
“Well, Agent Kincade, I would like your assistance. It seems that someone has bugged me.”
There was a beat of silence. “That’s probably something you should take to the police.”
“Aren’t you the police?”
“I’m Interpol; my cases are different. If you like I can provide you with the number—”
“That won’t be necessary. But thank you for being so helpful. I think I’ll speak to your section chief again. I met him once. He seems like a reasonable sort.”
More silence.
That was okay, she knew I had her. If she wanted to play cat and mouse, I wanted her to be very clear on who was the predator and who was the prey. “I have to say, I’m impressed. It was at the hospital gala, right? When I was so busy falling into your eyes and you were flirting with me.”
That earned me a scoff. “Please, when I flirt, you’ll know.”
A smile teased my lips. The more she defied me and fought back, the harder I became. “I know Interpol plays by a different set of rules, but you ought to play by the rules of the country you are stationed in, and illegal bugging is a big no-no.”
“Good thing I would never do such a thing. I’m a good little agent.”
Fuck, I was so hard.
As if she could read the direction of my thoughts, she perked up. “Also, Mr. Hale, dare I ask, how have you gotten hold of my phone number?”
“Ingenuity.”
“Right. Ingenuity.”
“I decided to call you to tell you that whatever you think you’re doing, you’re in way over your head. You need to back off.”
“That’s the thing, Mr. Hale. I have a tendency not to give up on anything. I mean, of course, that’s if I was interested in you. Which I’m not.”
I chuckled then even as I rubbed the soft silk of her shawl and inhaled. “You are intriguing, Agent Kincade. So let me help you out. Why don’t you tell me what it is you want from me, and I’ll tell you if I can give it to you or not.”
She’d disappeared from my camera feed, and I could hear rustling, as if she was moving around in her bed. “Mr. Hale, I promise that you don’t have anything I want.”
“Are you sure about that? I think you’re intrigued by me. I think you can feel the hum between us. I think that after that kiss, you could still taste me. Hell, I would wager you can still taste me right now. You know that low pulsing between your thighs? The one that you’ve been trying to ignore? The one that you’ve been telling yourself isn’t good for you? That’s because of me. I make you feel that way. And it really, really is a shame that you thought you could get away with bugging me. Because I’ve made a decision, and I don’t intend to be fair.” I rubbed the silk of her shawl with my fingers again, the faint hint of honeysuckle making me ache.
“First of all, Mr. Hale, I want to remind you that you’re talking to an Interpol agent. Second of all, I’m not afraid of you. I have dealt with bigger and badder men. And I put them in jail too. You poke at me, and I’ll poke at you.”
“Oooh, kinky. Should I remind you that you fired the first shot?”
There was another beat of silence. “You can’t prove that I bugged you, so it’s a stalemate.”
“That’s the best part. I don’t need proof. You’re the one who’s afflicted with that burn, not me. So since it’s open season, I should probably mention to you that I really, really like the shorts you’re wearing.”
There was a hitch in her breath, and I could hear her swallow. “What?”
“They’re cute. And also, you should probably close the blinds of your flat. A T-shirt that says, ‘Woke up fine as hell’ and boy shorts? While I appreciate the view, I will say, so does half of London.”
She came back into the living room and whipped around, searching for me somewhere on the street. “You arsehole.”
“If you say so.”
“You want my address? I can give it to you. Come find me anytime.”
I liked her. She was fire and spunk, and just a bit shy of crazy. And I wanted her. And that was a real big fucking problem.
The real question was, what was I going to do about her attempt to tap us? Because if she tapped my fucking wallet and I hadn’t been paying attention, what else had she gotten her hands on? “Sleep tight, Agent Kincade. We’ll be speaking again soon.”

USA Today bestseller Nana Malone’s love of all things romance and adventure started with a tattered romantic suspense she “borrowed” from her cousin.

It was a sultry summer afternoon in Ghana, and Nana was a precocious thirteen. She’s been in love with kick butt heroines ever since. With her overactive imagination, and channeling her inner Buffy, it was only a matter a time before she started creating her own characters.

While she waits for her chance at a job as a ninja assassin, in the meantime Nana works out her drama, passion, and sass with fictional characters every bit as sassy and kick butt as she thinks she is.

Amazon.com / Amazon.ca / B&N / KOBO / Chapters Indigo / Google Play

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 29, 2020

She hates him.

Dexter Ryan is smug. Arrogant. Manipulative. And he is also…Lacey Amari’s new partner. Well, her partner on one case. A case she doesn’t even want to take, but when Dex—CIA super operative and all around puppet-master—basically blackmails her, she has no choice. Then he asks her the big question…

Will you marry me?

The proposal isn’t real. It’s just an undercover assignment. Dex needs Lacey to be his fake fiancée for a case. Not exactly her dream job. But, she’ll do it. He wants her to pretend to be head over heels in love with him, he wants her help on a dangerous investigation in a remote ski lodge, and he…wants her?

••••••

REVIEW: SAY I DO is the tenth instalment in Cynthia Eden’s contemporary, adult WILDE WAYS romantic, suspense series focusing on the men and women who work for Wilde Ways Security. This is CIA Agent and former US Navy SEAL Dexter Ryan, and Wilde Ways security specialist Lacey Amari’s story line. SAY I DO can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

Told from several third person perspectives including Lacey and Dex, SAY I DO follows several paths, and the acrimonious relationship between CIA Agent and former US Navy SEAL Dexter Ryan, and Wilde Ways security specialist Lacey Amari. Dexter Ryan has lusted after Lacey Amari since the first time they met, and now that Dexter needs a ‘significant other’ for an undercover operation, Dexter proposes a ‘fake engagement’ to Lacey in an effort to get closer to the woman with whom he will fall in love but Dexter’s assignment is about to go very wrong when Lacey becomes the target of an unknown assassin. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Lacey and Dex, and the potential fall-out as secrets are revealed, and revenge is a dish best served dead.

Lacey Amari thinks Dex is the biggest a$$hole, and struggles to accept his offer to go undercover on his latest assignment but Lacey is about to discover that not all is as it seems, and Dex’s lies of omission are about to break her heart. Dex is struggling with the information that he knows about Lacey’s past but information that is about to spiral Lacey’s life out of control. In an effort to protect the woman with whom he is falling in love, Dex finds himself battling between head and heart when sins of the past are about to reveal the truth.

The relationship between Dex and Lacey is tempestuous at best. Dex is stubborn, arrogant and alpha; cheats and lies, and in this Lacey struggles to trust the man that is willing to die to protect her life. When Lacey discovers that Dex knows more than he is willing to reveal, our heroine’s issues of trust place her in the direct line of fire . The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and sensual without the use of over the stop, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a small ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including the return of Lacey’s boss and owner of Wilde Ways Security Eric Wilde. We are introduced to Roman Valentino and his bodyguard Heather Madding; Duke Jonathan Radcliff and his wife Elizabeth, as well as several CIA agents working with Dex on his current assignment.

SAY I DO is a story of secrets and lies; betrayal and revenge; trust and uncertainty; revelations and love. The premise is intriguing and thrilling; the romance is provocative; the characters are edgy, flirty and inspiring.

Description:
Margo Fletcher, eight months pregnant, is traveling by train from Chicago to Spokane, her childhood home. While passing through an isolated portion of the Rockies in blizzard conditions, the train unexpectedly brakes. Up ahead, deadly snow from a massive avalanche plummets down the mountain. Despite the conductor’s order for the passengers to stay seated, former Army Ranger Nick Eliot insists that survival depends on moving to the back of the train. Only Margo believes him. They take refuge in the last train car, which Nick heroically uncouples in time to avoid the avalanche. The rest of the train is hurled down the mountainside and is soon lost forever in a blanket of snow. Margo and Nick, the sole survivors, are stranded in the snowstorm without food, water, or heat. Rescuers might not arrive for days.

When the weather turns violent again, the pair must flee the shelter of the passenger car and run for their lives into the wilderness. They must fend off the deadly cold as well as predatory wild animals foraging for food. Eventually, Nick leads Margo to shelter in a watchtower atop a mountain. There, we learn that both Margo and Nick have secrets that have brought them together and threaten to destroy them.

Cover Your Tracks is a chilling story of love and hate, the devastating power of nature, and the will to survive.

Review:

Cover Your Tracks by Daco S. Auffenorde is a psychological thriller that was a bit different.  Margo Fletcher, our heroine, is 8 months pregnant and on a train from her home in Chicago to Spokane to attend her niece’s wedding.  Margo notices many of those sitting around her, especially a young man who seems to be watching her, especially when she gets some pains.  Suddenly the train makes a sudden stop, shaking the passengers, who are wondering why they stopped.

Nick Eliot is a former soldier, who upon looking out the window, recognizes why the train has stopped.  He shouts to everyone to get up and move to the back of the train; since there is an oncoming avalanche. When the conductor tells everyone to stay at their seats, Nick convinces Margo that she needs to go with him to the back end, as they will not survive if they stay.   After some doubt, she sees the snow, and goes with Nick to the end, where Nick releases the last train car.  Shortly, the avalanche strikes and the entire train is buried down the mountain.

Margo and Nick are shocked at the magnitude of the disaster, which has no survivors.  Nick takes control, and makes sure that Margo follows him, as they try to find some where they can trek to for safety; since the last car is now not safe.  Being 8 months pregnant makes it difficult for Margo, but at times she gets mad at Nick as he pushes her into the snow-covered wilderness, and demands she do what he says, but he has led her to safety, with rescuers possibly weeks away due to the conditions.  Along the horrible conditions, they must fend off coyotes looking for food; and finally come across a watchtower atop the mountain, where they at least can make fire for warmth, with little food that Nick is able to hunt for.

What follows is an exciting, wild adventure of survival that begins to change into a chilling dangerous tale of wills, secrets, obsession and precarious behavior.   Cover Your Tracks also back tracks in two POV’s to both Margo’s life, her pregnancy and her distant family; and Nick’s life as a teenager and in the army. I enjoyed this nail-biting story, but I also thought too much detail was done with going back to the past.  To say too much more would be spoilers, but you need to read this book to understand how some things unexpectantly tie in, as well as to find out if they survive. Cover Your Tracks was very well written by Daco S. Auffenorde.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October 20. 2020.

My love story all started with a letter.

Only it wasn’t from the man I’d eventually fall in love with. It was from his daughter. A sweet little girl named Birdie Maxwell who’d written to the magazine that I worked for.

You see, once a year, my employer fulfilled a few wishes for readers. Only that column didn’t start up again for months.

So I fulfilled some of her wishes myself. It was harmless…so I thought. Until one day I took things too far.

While anonymously granting yet another of Birdie’s wishes, I got a look at her father. Her devastatingly handsome, single dad father.

I should have stopped playing fairy godmother then. I should have left well enough alone. But I just couldn’t help myself. I had a connection to this girl. One that had me acting irrationally.

Like showing up on their doorstep.

REVIEW: HAPPILY LETTER AFTER co-authored by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward is a contemporary, adult, erotic, stand alone romance story line focusing on thirty-six year old restaurateur and widower Sebastian Maxwell, and twenty-nine year old, columnist Sadie Bisset’s story line.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Sadie and Sebastian) HAPPILY LETTER AFTER follows the building romance and relationship between thirty-six year old restaurateur, single father and widower Sebastian Maxwell, and twenty-nine year old, columnist Sadie Bisset. Sadie Bisset is a dating columnist for a local paper but writes a ‘Holiday Wishes’ column on the side. Several months before Christmas, Sadie receives a Dear Santa letter from Birdie, a ten year old girl struggling to believe Santa is real, yet still wishing for her widowed father to be happy again. Granting Birdie a few early wishes, Sadie found herself outside of Birdie’s New York brownstone, wherein Sebastian Maxwell, Birdie’s father mistakenly believes Sadie is the new dog trainer. Never one to turn down an opportunity, Sadie lies to Sebastian, and proceeds to ‘train’ a dog who does not want to be trained. Weeks will pass as Sadie, Sebastian and Birdie grow closer together until Sebastian discovers the truth about our story line heroine. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Sadie and Sebastian, as our couple must come to terms with the past, the present and a possible future.

The relationship between Sadie and Sebastian is predicated upon a lie as Sadie pretends to be the family’s new dog trainer. As the weeks pass, Sadie will discover that her attraction to Sebastian includes falling for his daughter, a little girl that has the ability to see beyond her years. Secrets are revealed pulling Sebastian and Sadie closer together but not before Sebastian battles with what was and what may be. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to Sebastian’s ten year old daughter Birdie, and their Great Dane Marmaduke, as well as their housekeeper Magdalene; Sadie’s father George Bisset, and her best friend and assistant Devin.

HAPPILY LETTER AFTER is an emotional, delightful and wonderful story of family, friendships, relationships and love. The premise is captivating and enjoyable; the romance is seductive and sexy; the characters are colorful, charismatic, and charming.
