A new girl moved into my apartment building last week. Chloe. A sweet, sunny girl with laughing eyes and a bright smile. I can’t get her out of my mind. While I’m servicing the municipal judge who kept me out of jail, I picture Chloe’s face, her body, her scent. As much as I like her, a relationship with someone my own age is out of the question. I have goals and none of them include a girlfriend. So why can’t I leave her alone?

**Although these stories can stand alone, this is a series of short stories, involves cliffhanger endings, and is meant to be read in order.

BAD BEHAVIOR #1

REVIEW: Jeana Mann has given us the start to a series of short stories, this being the first. Bad Behavior 1 brings us into the life of Jamie and why he is known as Romeo as well as what he does to make his buck.

*Sassy grin*

As a male escort, Jamie/Romeo is known for giving his client what they want, the secret desires they don’t even tell their friends. Through this first short story, we get introduced to the basics of the story, who he is, what he does and the hot and heavy that comes with a career as a gigolo.

This short story was a great way to start the new 10-part book, it’s a quick hot read that does leave the reader on the best cliffhanger. Anxious for the continuation yet? I sure am!

_________

BAD BEHAVIOR #2

ebook only 99¢ Amazon.com / Amazon.ca / B&N / KOBO / Apple /

REVIEW:Jeana Mann continues right off from book one into book two, digging deeper into why Jamie is the way he is and why he works as an escort.

Jamie is slowly becoming more and more revealed for the person he is under the hot bod. A single father, trying to do the best he can for his young daughter, a man, more lost than he lets on and lonely as well. When he meets Chloe, he comes to learn things about himself that he was unprepared for. For once, a job that never bothered him has started creeping at his conscience. Is it Chloe that is changing him? Or does the job not hold the same Merritt anymore?

For a group of short stories, these ones pack a punch. Mann gives you just enough to get you wading into the pool, then whoosh, the cliffhanger is upon you, crashing like a wave. These steamy, short stories are so much fun to read and always having you dying for more!

__________

BAD BEHAVIOR #3

ebook only 99¢ Amazon.com / Amazon.ca / B&N / KOBO / Apple /

REVIEW: If you liked book 2, book 3 is going to be right up your alley. Book three in the short story features Jamie and his gigolo ways, lots of drama and some pretty good giggles.

I think many readers were curious about Jamie’s baby Momma and what was going on with Chloe. In book three we get a little more on each of these topics.

Jamie’s baby Momma drama is intense and most definitely realistic, it’s not something any loving parent would want around their child. Chloe on the other hand, well her family was an eye opener. Her family is just awful, throw in a wedding, an old client of Jamie’s, and you have the makings for killer day time drama.

As always with this series, the cliffhanger is so good, I can’t wait to see what comes next.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date November 16, 2020

I don’t want you.
You mean nothing to me.
I never loved you.

I turned my words into swords.
And I cut her down. Shoved the blade in and watched her fall.

I said I’d never hurt her, and I did.

Years later, I’m faced with all the little lies, the untruths, the false realities, the damage I inflicted, when all I wanted was to indulge my obsession.

Lavender Waters is the princess in the tower. Even her name is the thing fairy tales are made of.

I used to be the one who saved her.
Over and over again.

But I don’t want to save her anymore.
I just want to pretend the lies are still the truth.

••••••••

REVIEW:LITTLE LIES is a contemporary, new adult, stand alone story line focusing on Lavender Waters, and Kodiak Bowman. LITTLE LIES is set in the author’s PUCKED and ALL IN romance series, and focuses on the next generation of the Helena Hunting’s series characters.

WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise there may be some triggers for more sensitive readers.

SOME BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Heroine: Lavender Waters (Alex and Violet Waters’ youngest daughter, PUCKED and FOREVER PUCKED couple origin, Pucked Series )

Hero: Kodiak (Kody) Bowman (Rook and Lainey Bowman’s son, A LIE FOR A LIE couple origin, All In Series )

Told from dual first person perspectives (Lavender and Kodiak) covering fifteen years, and numerous time lines, LITTLE LIES focuses on the childhood friends to enemies to lovers relationship between Lavender Waters, and Kodiak Bowman. Years earlier, Lavender Waters was the potential victim of a childhood abduction, and Kodiak Bowman, and Lavender’s twin brother River blame themselves for what almost happened to our story line heroine. Fast forward several years wherein Kodiak becomes Lavender’s protector and guardian until the day their co-dependent relationship and friendship is destroyed by the well-intentioned actions of adults who cared. Focusing on the present, Lavender is about to enter her sophomore year at college, and reluctantly opts to move in with her brothers, bringing her closer to the man who destroyed her heart. Living on ‘hockey row’ near the college in Chicago where most of her siblings and cousins now study and live, Lavender struggles with the toxic relationship between she and Kodiak, a relationship destroyed by the continuing hurt and painful words by the boy / man she once loved. What ensues is the emotional, destructive and heart breaking relationship between Kodiak and Lavender, as our couple traverse a minefield of pain, memories, PTSD and impassioned sadness of the who, how, when and why of a life-long friendship destroyed by secrets and lies.

Both Lavender and Kodiak suffer with severe emotional and physical anxiety, and with it had become one another’s single source of rescue and support but their co-dependent relationship began to worry their parents, and in an effort to protect the children they love, inadvertently destroy the tether that held one another together.

The relationship between Kodiak and Lavender is a volatile friends to enemies to lovers relationship with all of the emotional and heart breaking angst of young love, misunderstanding, regret and obsession. Kodiak and Lavender had been one another’s rock but a tear in their relationship pulled at the seams until there was nothing left to repair. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and animated characters most of whom are the second generation children of the author’s PUCKED and ALL IN series, as well as the Alex and Violet Waters (Pucked), and Rook and Lainey Bowman (A Lie for a Lie). The requisite mean girls are present and accounted for. I am hoping the author has plans for Lavender’s brothers, their cousins and the numerous friends we met in LITTLE LIES.

LITTLE LIES focuses on the broken and wounded; the tragic and complex lives of the emotional fall-out of a potential tragedy that almost destroyed so many lives. The premise is raw and impassioned; the characters are damaged and barely surviving; the romance is fractured yet the sexual attraction is palpable and angry. LITTLE LIES is a haunting look at two people struggling to come to terms with the past, the present and the foreseeable future.

The front door swings open, and the never-ending nightmare that is this day smacks me in the face like a long-expired sausage. Kodiak stands in the doorway wearing only a pair of swim shorts, wet hair sticking out all over the place, water dripping on the damn floor. But God, is he ever glorious. Muscle layered over muscle, thick biceps flexing as he holds the doorjamb, a mischievous grin popping the dimple in his left cheek.
My heart seizes and gallops. I miss this version of him: the one that smiles and doesn’t hate me.
He ruins everything a moment later by bellowing, “Who’s fucking in the driveway?”
His gaze moves to Dylan, who looks as horrified as I feel, but as it shifts to me, his smile drops and my stomach tightens.
“You should really go,” I tell Dylan.
“I’ll see you around.” He disappears into his car and barely has the door closed before he’s backing out of the driveway and screeching down the street.
I adjust my backpack on my shoulder and head for the house, steeling my spine and my nerves because Kodiak is still standing in the middle of the doorway, his face a mask of indifference. I try to brush by him, but he stays where he is, making it impossible.
I sigh, exhausted beyond belief. I just want to go upstairs and have a good, cathartic cry. I try to mirror his apathy. “Can you move so I can get into my house?”
His brow furrows as his eyes move over my face. He lifts his hand, like maybe he’s thinking about touching me. There’s no way I can handle that. I jerk back and swat his hand away. “What are you doing?”
“Your lip is bleeding.”
“Don’t act like you actually give a shit, Kodiak.”
“Tell me what happened.” His voice is low and soft, and for whatever reason, that makes me even angrier, so I lash out, wanting to wound him the way he keeps wounding me.
“You, Kodiak. You happened, and you ruined my goddamn life. Now get the hell out of my way.” I elbow past him, almost tripping over several sets of running shoes.
I head straight for my bedroom and lock the door behind me. I slide down the wall until my butt hits the floor and close my eyes, taking deep breaths.
I imagined the concern in his voice.
I imagined the pain that sat heavy behind his eyes.
We see what we want to, not the truth, especially when it hurts.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date November 16, 2020

As a former FBI agent, Flynn Coleman was made for his work with Blackbridge Security.

He’s highly trained, has a skill set meant for analysis and investigation, and meant to do important things.

Yet, he’s chasing a twenty-year-old starlet’s daughter around New York City because the spoiled brat never learned how to behave.

Remington Blair doesn’t need a babysitter, but her parents insist.

Keeping Flynn Coleman on his toes will be the most fun she’s had in a while.

Besides, just hearing him call her name with that accent is enough to keep her running.

•••••••

REVIEW:CONTINGENCY PLAN is the third instalment in Marie James’ contemporary, adult BLACKBRIDGE SECURITY erotic, romantic suspense series focusing on the men and women who work for Blackbridge Security (BBS). This is twenty-nine year old, former FBI agent and second in command at BBS Flynn Coleman, and soon to be twenty-one year old, Remington Blair’s story line. CONTINGENCY PLAN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Flynn and Remington) CONTINGENCY PLAN follows the forbidden relationship between twenty-nine year old, former FBI agent and security specialist Flynn Coleman, and soon to be twenty-one year old, Remington Blair. Flynn Coleman’s latest assignment is ‘babysitting’ a twenty-year old spoiled, little rich girl, who pushes Flynn’s buttons at every opportunity. With her famous mother and step-father, all but absent from her life, Remington Blair has a penchant for getting into trouble, and making her security detail work for every penny they are paid but something about Flynn Coleman makes Remington sit up and take notice including her perceived inability to get a rise out of our story line hero. What ensues is the tempestuous but building relationship between Remington and Flynn, and the potential fall-out as Flynn finds himself back in St. Louis for crossing the line one too many times.

Flynn Coleman knows better than to get involved with the client’s daughter but Remington Blair doesn’t make it easy, walking around naked, and desperately trying to seduce the man hired to ensure she is safe at all times. Remington Blair is a danger to herself but our heroine is starved for affection and pursues every available opportunity to get the attention she doesn’t get at home. Flynn Coleman never thought he would fall for Remington Blair but battling his feelings threatens to spiral out of control when Remington disappears, and the boys at Blackbridge Security are unable to locate the woman with whom Flynn will fall in love.

The relationship between Flynn and Remington begins as a job, a job Remington is determined to make miserable for our story line hero. Remington has a reputation of getting herself into trouble, and every security detail before Flynn has been unable to control the woman in question. Crossing the line is about to pull Flynn out of Remington’s life but Remington isn’t willing to sit back and let the world tear her down, one more time. The $ex scenes are passionate and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text-the sexual energy is palpable and hot. There are some scenes of spanking, used as punishment between our story line couple.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters, many of whom we have met in previous story lines. We are reintroduced to security specialist and Blackbridge Security (BBS) owner Deacon Black, and Annalise Grimaldi (Hostile Territory #1), and IT specialist Wren Nelson and Whitney Nelson (Shot in the Dark 2) Finnegan Jenkins (BBS mechanical engineer) , Ignacio Torres, Jude Morris, Quinten Lake, Gaige, and Brooks, as well as Wren’s dirty mouthed African Grey parrot Puff Daddy.

CONTINGENCY PLAN is a story of family and relationships; disappointment and struggle; desperation and rejection; forgiveness and love. The premise is engaging and captivating; the romance is spicy and seductive; the characters are energetic, colorful and charismatic but it took a little convincing for me to warm up to our story line heroine. Her immature behavior and attitude left much to be desired.

The Bright and Breaking Sea by Chloe Neill – a Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo / Google Play / Apple / BAM / Book Depository

Description:
Kit Brightling, rescued as a foundling and raised in a home for talented girls, has worked hard to rise through the ranks of the Isles’ Crown Command and become one of the few female captains in Queen Charlotte’s fleet. Her ship is small, but she’s fast–in part because of Kit’s magical affinity to the sea. But the waters become perilous when the queen sends Kit on a special mission with a partner she never asked for.

Rian Grant, Viscount Queenscliffe, may be a veteran of the Continental war, but Kit doesn’t know him or his motives–and she’s dealt with one too many members of the Beau Monde. But Kit has her orders, and the queen has commanded they journey to a dangerous pirate quay and rescue a spy who’s been gathering intelligence on the exiled emperor of Gallia.

Kit can lead her ship and clever crew on her own, but with the fate of queen and country at stake, Kit and Rian must learn to trust each other, or else the Isles will fall….

Review:

The Bright and Breaking Sea by Chloe Neill is the first book in her new Captain Kit Brightling series.  I always enjoy Chloe Neill’s books, but wasn’t sure about this new seafaring fantasy series.  WOW I totally loved the book and can’t wait for more about our wonderful heroine, Kit.  I enjoyed this wonderful story from start to finish, and absolutely loved Kit, Grant and all the secondary characters that Neill created.  It did not take long to read this book, as I could not put it down.

Kit Brightling, our heroine, is one of the few female captains for the Queen’s fleet.  Kit, who has a magical affinity to the sea, and is only in her mid-twenties, has risen up quickly through the ranks of the Isles’ Crown Command, and has gained much respect from the Queen, and especially her magnificent crew.  She has successfully completed all her assigned missions, even though her ship, Diana is small, but it is the fastest ship.  Kit has such a fantastic crew, especially her top people, who were totally loyal to her.

Upon completion of her assignment, Kit is surprised to be called to see the Queen.  She learns that the exiled emperor of the previous victorious war, is secretly getting help to plan a revolt.  Seems there is a traitor in the Crown Command, as one of their best undercover agents has been kidnapped, and the Queen wants Kit to find a way to rescue the agent, as well as find the traitor.  But she is told that someone else will go this dangerous mission with her, and she isn’t too happy about that.

Colonel Rian Grant, Viscount Queenscliffe, is a former soldier and veteran of the previous war; and because the missing agent is a respected friend, he agrees to join the mission.  Rian may be a veteran of the wars, but he too is not thrilled to be sharing the mission with Kit, whose crew and ship will be used. The start of this mission pits Kit and Rian constantly sniping at each other, and their banter was fun to watch.  Rian feels his experience should allow him to lead, but he will learn quickly that Kit is a master at what she does, and her alignment to the sea is a definite plus, not to mention how her crew respects and adores her.  In a short time, Rian will see Kit in a different life, especially when she puts her own life in danger to rescue one of her crew members.  He not only begins to respect her decisions, but finds himself slowly falling for her.  The chemistry between them though slow burn, was flirty, fun and sassy.  But the knowledge that he is a viscount and she is a captain destined to be at sea, keeps them at a forced distance.

What follows is a wonderful exciting tense adventure, where Kit and Rian work together to find the traitor, as well as stop the exiled emperor from regaining his power; the Queen will send them both on another mission that is also dangerous. The more time they spent and work together, the more they learn to respect each other.  I totally loved them together, and cannot wait to see what Neill has in store for them in future books.

The Bright and Breaking Sea was a wonderful magical world created by Neill, filled with two great heroes, fabulous secondary characters, exciting adventures, seafaring escapades, pirates, and a budding romance.  I for one look forward to the next book in this series, so very well written by Chloe Neill.

Review:

All That Glitters by Danielle Steel is another one of her wonderful romance novels.  Nicole (Coco) Martin, our beautiful young heroine, has led a wonderful life, growing up with her wealthy family, her loving parents, spending vacations at the Hamptons and attending Columbia University, as well as a summer job as an intern in a magazine.  She spends a lot of time with her best friend, Sam, whom she grew up with.  Sam comes from a strict Orthodox Jewish family, who are worried about their friendship, since his family pushes him to join his father’s business and to marry a religious Jewish woman.  Despite his parents worries, their friendship never changed over the years…best friends who will always be there for each other.

Life for Coco drastically changes when her parents are killed in Europe from a terrorist bombing attack killing many in Cannes.  Coco at 21 is now the sole heiress to the family fortune, and devastated by the loss of her mother and father.  It takes her awhile to get past the devastation, but with Sam’s help, she begins to move forward in her life. Her father’s business partner helps her planning and advising on her inheritance.  When she spends a lot of time with him, she begins an affair, even though he is many years older, and eventually after being together for a while, she learns he is married and does not want to be a mistress, and breaks up with him.

She then goes to London for a job, and meets a new friend, Leslie, who eventually will become partners with Coco after a number of years. Coco meets Nigel at one of Leslie’s parties, and they have a whirlwind fun romance that does end up with them getting married.  Nigel, who is a younger son to London royalty, is used to enjoying things, even if he has no money.  He begins to make plans to buy mansions, summer homes spending Coco’s money, but when she catches him having sex with a girl, she threatens to leave him.  Coco gives him a second chance, and a few months later, when she runs home to tell him that she is pregnant, she finds him once again with another woman. She divorces him, as she will give him the summer smaller home, as long as he waives his rights to the child.  Coco’s track record with men has not been good, and Sam tells her often, that she rushes into things.

While Sam goes to work for his father, a job he does not like, he is also forced to date Jewish woman, and eventually marries one. They will have 4 children, but their marriage was falling apart, as his wife wanted a career.

Coco will meet a famous writer, and become involved with him for a happy and content 4 years, until her life changes, when her daughter is sick and diagnosed with Leukemia. She will fly back to New York and with Sam’s contacts, be treated by one of the best cancer doctors for children.  After a year of treatments and follow-ups, Bethanie (Daughter) will go into remission, and they go back to London, with her ex-boyfriend no longer around.

Coco’s career blossoms, and though she does date, she just wants fun and no strings attached.  When Sam’s marriage begins to falls apart, Coco is always there for him, as he has always been for her.  A wonderful long-lasting friendship.

All That Glitters is a wonderful heartwarming story of one woman’s journey through her life, filled with success, love, tragedy, happiness and friendship.  Coco and Sam’s friendship was amazing and wonderful to watch, as their strength gets them through many challenges bringing them even closer.  If you enjoy romances and family, I suggest you read this book, so very well written by Danielle Steel.

A Wright Christmas by KA Linde-Review Tour

Amazon.com / Amazon.ca / B&N / KOBO / Google Play / Apple/

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date November 17, 2020

At seventeen, I left Isaac Donoghue behind to become a professional ballerina.

When I return home to dance in the Nutcracker, I never expect to run into him. Let alone on my first day in town. I can’t help but admire him in a crisp suit with his toned soccer body, chiseled jaw line, and all too familiar piercing green eyes. I thought nothing could surprise me more.

Until his five year old daughter runs out of the ballet studio.

I’m only in town for a month. I shouldn’t get involved with anyone, especially the ex I’ve been pining after for years. Especially when he has a daughter to consider.

But where Isaac is concerned, I’ve never been able to stay away.

With the help of some Christmas magic, maybe we finally have a shot at our second chance.

••••••••

REVIEW:A WRIGHT CHRISTMAS by KA Linda is a contemporary, stand alone, holiday romance story line set in the author’s Wright World series. This is Wright Construction project manager and single father Isaac Donoghue, and New York City Ballet prima ballerina Peyton Medina’s story line. A WRIGHT CHRISTMAS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Many of the previous story line couples cross over for cohesion and familiarity.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Peyton and Isaac) A WRIGHT CHRISTMAS follows the second chance romance between Wright Construction project manager and single father Isaac Donoghue, and New York City Ballet prima ballerina Peyton Medina’. Fifteen years earlier, Peyton Medina destroyed Isaac Donaghue’s heart when she left Lubbock Texas to pursue a career as professional ballerina. Fast forward to present day wherein Peyton has been invited to star in Lubbock’s holiday presentation of the Nutcracker, and with it, the possibility of facing the man she has never stopped loving. Enter Isaac Donaghue. What ensues is the rebuilding romance and relationship between Isaac and Peyton, and the potential fall-out as Peyton’s time in Texas comes to a close.

Isaac Donaghue is a single father who lost his wife five years earlier but our hero has never stopped loving the only woman who has ever broken his heart, and with her return meant the possibility of a second chance with Peyton Medina. Peyton never expected to fall hard for the man whose heart she destroyed but an emergency return to New York broke something in Peyton, as she struggled between head and heart, and the career she has focused on all of her life.

The relationship between Peyton and Isaac is one of second chances: a rekindling romance between two people whose relationship was destroyed when Peyton left to pursue her career, and Isaac was offered the chance at a soccer scholarship. Isaac had never stopped loving our story line heroine but Peyton had no plans to return to Lubbock or Isaac. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including several couples from the previous instalment in the Wright World series. We are introduced to Isaac’s five year old daughter Aly, as well as his sister Annie; Peyton’s siblings Piper and Peter, Piper’s roommate Blaire, their parents, and grandmother; LBC artistic director Kathy Brown, and several young hopeful ballerinas and dancers.

A WRIGHT CHRISTMAS is a sweet and sexy story of second chances. The premise is realistic and spirited: the romance is seductive and tender; the characters are sassy, imaginative and dynamic. A WRIGHT CHRISTMAS is a wonderful and impassioned tale for your holiday reading.

Romeo Sinacore has never stopped loving Eden De Rossi but Eden said ‘yes’ to his brother’s proposal. As Romeo was forced to watch the woman he loved fall in love with someone else, betrayal at the hands of someone he loved, would place the focus on an assassin’s blade.

The relationship between Eden and Romeo was one of the forbidden. Having never crossed the line after Eden and Tristian were married, Romeo knew he would always be tied to Eden, regardless of her relationship with another man. His love for Eden was greater than his love for his brother, and with it, the relationship between the brothers was irrevocably destroyed. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate and intense.

We are introduced to Romeo’s brother Tristian, and their sister Juliet; Eden’s father Bartollo De Rossi, as well as fellow mafia bosses Andrei Sinacore, and Phoenix Nicolasi.

MAFIA CASANOVA is a story of family and relationships; power, control, betrayal and revenge. The premise is gritty and dark; the romance is heart breaking; the characters are strong, impassioned and angry. MAFIA CASANOVA ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.

The Star Crossed Sisters of Tuscany by Lori Nelson Spielman-Review

The Star Crossed Sisters of Tuscany by Lori Nelson Spielman-Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo / Google Play / Apple / BAM / Book Depository

Description:
Since the day Filomena Fontana cast a curse upon her sister more than two hundred years ago, not one second-born Fontana daughter has found lasting love. Some, like second-born Emilia, the happily-single baker at her grandfather’s Brooklyn deli, claim it’s an odd coincidence. Others, like her sexy, desperate-for-love cousin Lucy, insist it’s a true hex. But both are bewildered when their great-aunt calls with an astounding proposition: If they accompany her to her homeland of Italy, Aunt Poppy vows she’ll meet the love of her life on the steps of the Ravello Cathedral on her eightieth birthday, and break the Fontana Second-Daughter Curse once and for all.

Against the backdrop of wandering Venetian canals, rolling Tuscan fields, and enchanting Amalfi Coast villages, romance blooms, destinies are found, and family secrets are unearthed—secrets that could threaten the family far more than a centuries-old curse.

Review:

The Star-Crossed Sisters of Tuscany by Lori Nelson Spielman is a standalone novel.  200 years ago, Filomena Fontana cast a curse on her sister that no second born daughter will find a lasting love, and over these years, not one has. Emilia Fontana, our heroine, is content to have her own apartment, and a cute cat named, Claws.  She works for the family deli/bakery, making cannoli’s, and doesn’t mind being bossed around by her Nonna.  Then one day Emilia gets a letter from her Aunt Poppy, whom she hasn’t seen in years.  Poppy wants to go to Italy and is offering Emilia an all expenses paid vacation to go with her; eventually Emilia will decide to go, and her cousin Lucy will go with them to Italy. Poppy ensures the two young ladies that she will break the curse while they are in Italy.

Both Emilia and Lucy recognize that Poppy is ill, and this trip was for her to meet her old love, Rico at the Ravello Cathedral, after a promise they made to meet over 60 years ago.

Poppy, was a blessing for the girls, teaching them how to let go, and learn to enjoy life and open themselves up to the feeling of love and life. We did get a POV between Poppy and Rico’s time together during the war, as she would tell the girls about her wonderful love, and in doing they will learn some terrible betrayals, secrets and lies among the family during their journey through Italy.  We the reader also got a beautiful eyeful of Italy, as Spielman gloriously described all the wonderful sites as they toured places like Tuscany, Venice, Milan, Naples, etc.

What follows is a heartwarming journey of discovery, as both Emilia and Lucy embrace life, love and happiness. The Star-Crossed Sisters of Tuscany was not only entertaining, but emotional as well.  I loved Poppy, Emilia and even Lucy, and how their lives changed for the better, though there were some sad parts.  This was a very well written enjoyable story, with three fantastic women who truly became a true sisterhood. I recommended you read The Star Crossed Sisters of Tuscany and enjoy the ride.
