ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date July 8, 2021

Nolan Bishop has felt like an outsider in the Savage Kings MC ever since he gave up the nomad lifestyle to try and put down some roots. He’s a convicted felon, searching for his place in the world without screwing up his probation.

The last thing Nolan needs is a giant oaf from a rival biker gang showing up at the MC’s clubhouse, threatening to kill Nolan if he doesn’t give his estranged wife, Rita, a divorce.

The funny thing is, Nolan is certain that he has never been married.

The name Rita does, unfortunately, ring a bell – she’s the reason he went to prison.

If Rita is lying about them being married, then she must be in serious trouble. Nolan just has to decide how much trouble the woman is worth.

Unlike before, now he knows that even the smallest mistake could not only send him back to prison, but also endanger the lives of all the Savage Kings.

REVIEW: NOLAN is the sixth instalment in the contemporary, adult SAVAGE KINGS MC-SOUTH CAROLINA erotic, MC, romance series co-authored by Lane Hart and DB West. This is thirty-four year old, MC member Nolan Bishop, and thirty year old accountant assistant/waitress Rita Collins’ story line. NOLAN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Nolan and Rita) covering two timelines, NOLAN follows the rebuilding romance and relationship between Nolan Bishop and Rita Collins. Five years earlier, Nolan Bishop fell for our story line heroine. Three glorious weeks ended with Nolan Bishop taking the fall for someone else, leaving a heart broken and misinformed Rita behind. Fast forward to present day wherein Nolan finds himself facing a threat of another sort, this one also attached to the woman he once loved. What ensues is the rebuilding romance and relationship between Rita and Nolan, and the potential fall-out as Rita may have to spend the rest of her life on the run, in an effort to stay one step ahead of a man desperate to claim Rita as his own.

Five years earlier Nolan Bishop took the fall for a series of robberies and petty larceny but Nolan had no idea that Rita was unaware of what happened or why, and in this our heroine spent the last five years angry that Nolan had ghosted in the middle of the day. Rita Collins has worked two jobs for close to 11 years in an effort to look after herself and her younger brother but our heroine was facing a new battle when another MC took control of the place where she worked. In an effort to protect the woman he loved, Nolan and the Savage Kings MC worked behind the scenes, setting up plans that would inevitably see our couple on separate paths for the rest of their lives.

The relationship between Nolan and Rita is one of immediate attraction for our story line hero but Rita refuses to get involved with the local biker MC. Leaving her no choice, Nolan becomes protector and body guard only to find himself facing several years in jail for something he did not do. Rita is desperate to stay one step ahead of the man hunting her down but in doing so pulls Nolan into her own corner of h*ll, a corner from which neither may return. The $ex scenes are intimate, and intense.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including several of the previous story line couples, as well as Nolan’s friends Abel and Hugo; Rita’s brother Cory, and a number of members from the Rebel Henchman MC. Abel’s story is next.

NOLAN is a story of betrayal, secrets and lies;obsession, lust, power and control. The premise is gritty and twisted; the romance is provocative; the characters are animated and determined.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Callum and Hazel) SAVAGE follows in the wake of Sam Brentwood’s death. With only the name ‘Callum O’Daire’, our heroine goes in search of the information she may not want to find. The Do-Over by Melissa MacKinnon – a Review

Description:
After years in the grueling California dating scene, Maggie Kelley has finally agreed to marry her Mr. Right Now. But there’s just one teensy problem…the county clerk lets her know that she’s technically still married to her Vegas fling: the best three days she ever had…and can’t actually remember. The moment she sees her very hot husband after eight years, with his works-well-with-his-hands attitude, she’s sure their wedding night must have been explosive.

The absolute last person Finnegan Garrity expected at his door is Maggie—his ultimate “one who got away.” Yet here she is in his small-town boat shop, looking just as adorable as ever…and wanting a divorce. Yeah, he has no intention of letting that happen. Now he’s got one week to convince Maggie that they’re still perfect for each other.

But he’s going to need more than just a do-over: he’s going to need a miracle.

Content Warning The Do Over  is a heartwarming romance with two at-odds main characters. However, the story includes elements that might not be suitable for some readers. Cancer, a child with a disability after a car accident, mentions of a car accident, mentions of a violent relationship and alcoholism, parental death, and mentions of childhood parental neglect are included in the novel. Readers who may be sensitive to these elements, please take note.

Review:

The Do-Over by Melissa MacKinnon is the 1st book in her new Finding Home series. This is the first book that I’ve read by this author, and I have to admit I laughed through most of the book.

A drunken Vegas wedding!! Sounds like a recipe for a disaster. But for four days Maggie and Finn were inseparable, drunken dares had led to a spontaneous marriage proposal and Finn had hoped to keep Maggie forever. But with a dawn four days later comes regret and guilt. They both their separate ways, each thinking the other had “sorted” the annulment!!

Eight years later, Maggie is looking for a divorce from her four day husband….. And that’s where we start our story.

Maggie needs a divorce and she needs it done now. Her family need her to solidify a union between two families (I know right! Sounds like a mafia deal!). But doing her duty for her family is what she’s all about. But there is a small party of her that was relived when she finds out her divorce hasn’t gone through.

Finnegan thought he’d found the woman he’d spend the rest of his life with. He’d even plucked up the courage to find her after Vegas. But he’d been made to realize that they were from two different worlds.  And so he resigned himself never to see her again.

And now he’s got a second chance, can he get her to change her mind? Will she even want to after eight years? Well he needs to give it one last shot…..

A fake engagement leads to all sorts of misunderstandings. Finn tells his grandmother that Maggie is his girlfriend from New York (looooong story) grandmother sees Maggie’s ring and assumes they are now engaged!!! Finn asks Maggie to pretend to be his fiancée until the divorce is signed….

The chemistry is still there, but Maggie is trying really hard to keep her distance, and Finn isn’t helping one bit…So what happens when the papers finally come? Will Maggie leave and return to California? Or has Finn done enough to keep Maggie by his side permanently this time?

Loved the grandmother, she wasn’t as silly as people thought her to be. And a few supporting characters were just a joy to read about. And if I had to pick a family to visit…. I’d pick Finn’s family every time, they were just so warm and friendly. Maggie’s family were just so cold and power oriented!

It’s a book that can easily be read in a few hours.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date July 6, 2021

She’s been mine since the second I saw her.

It would be easy to say I have no business even looking at a girl like River Finn. She’s too young. Too innocent. Too much my daughter’s best friend.

That is, until the gorgeous forbidden fruit becomes my business. A rival bratva kingpin wants her. I want his empire. Kidnapping her as leverage should be an easy, simple business arrangement.

Except there’s nothing easy or simply about this. Not when she captures my piercing gaze. Not when she leaves me hungry and wanting. Not when her sassy mouth and dangerous curves make me weak.

But my world is strength and brutality. There’s no place in it for softness like River. There’s no room for the long-forgotten, smoldering feelings she ignites in me.

Touching her could destroy my empire. Keeping her could start a war. And yet, possession is nine-tenths of the law.

River has no business being in my world. But now, I’m making it my business to make sure she never leaves.

She’s mine—finders, keepers.

This scorching hot Bratva captive romance is a standalone story in the Bratva’s Claim series. Older H/younger h, twists, turns, and so much heat you’ll need a cold drink. Safe, absolutely no cheating, no cliffhanger, and a perfect happy ever after.

Falling for the rookie wasn’t part of the plan.
As a pro athlete, I have one unbreakable rule when it comes to men — Don’t date another baseball player.
Good thing I haven’t been tempted once in four years in the majors.
Until the day a rising star walks into my locker room. Outgoing, affable, and sexy-as-sin, Grant has confidence and talent for miles. He seems to get me too, maybe because we each have our fair share of secrets and scars — ones we’ll both fight to protect.
But, I’ve got far too much trouble in my past to want to bring any into my present.
All the more reason to resist the kind of dirty deeds his lips and eyes promise.
Even after I plant a scorching, hot kiss on the rookie one night after a game.
Even after he sends me the world’s sexiest selfie.
But when Grant reveals his biggest secret, I’m so damn ready to rip up the rulebook.
Turns out he’s a virgin and he wants me to help him get around all the bases.
The only rule? Don’t fall in love with him as we go.

REVIEW:WHAT IF YOU AND ME is the second instalment in Roni Loren’s contemporary, adult SAY EVERYTHING erotic, romance series. This is thirty-one year old, former firefighter Hill Dawson, and author/podcaster Andi Lockley’s story line. WHAT IF YOU AND ME can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Andi and Hill) WHAT IF YOU AND ME follows the neighbors/friends with benefits relationship between thirty-one year old, former firefighter Hill Dawson, and horror author/podcaster Andi Lockley. Approximately two years earlier Hill Dawson’s life as a fire-fighter ended when a work place accident ended his career leaving Hill struggling with depression and something to do. Meeting his new neighbor/tenant gave Hill thoughts he had long forgotten, since he discovered his fiancée in love with another man but his spunky next door neighbor offered a reprieve from his thoughts, thoughts that continued to stray on what was and what will never be. Andi Lockley is a horror author, and podcaster about murdered and missing people, and in this Andi had some experience when it comes to the frightening reality about what it is she talks. Falling for her neighbor was never on the agenda but a friendship with benefits relationship would quickly turn into something more, something of which Hill wanted nothing to do. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Andi and Hill, and the potential fall-out as Hill pushes Andi out of his life, just as Andi’s life is about to implode.

Andi and Hill are both dealing with the trauma of past events, and in this, the past continues to affect the present and the future. Hill and Andi both agreed neither one was ready to settle down but Andi was the first to fall, and Hill wasn’t ready to pick up the pieces. A disastrous prior relationship for both has caused both physical and emotional scars but Hill refuses to accept that he is the man for our heroine, believing he is a place holder for someone more to come.

The relationship between Andi and Hill is a neighbors/friends with benefits that turns into something more. From podcasting to writing, cooking to a Firefighter’s auction, our couple find themselves celebrating the little things in life, things that detract from the terror that was once their lives. As Andi slowly falls for her firefighter hero, Hill begins to pull back just as Andi’s life spirals out of control. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to Hill’s fellow firefighter and friend Ramsey, Andi’s friends and therapist Eliz, Hill’s ex-fiancee Christine, as well as the return of Hollyn and Jasper (YES AND I LOVE YOU #1).

WHAT IF YOU AND ME is a story of betrayal and loss with a sassy and determined heroine, and a sometimes miserable hero who believes himself too broken to move forward. The premise is emotional and edgy; the romance is energetic and intense; the characters are tragic, animated and inspiring.

What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Chloe and Beck, and the fall-out as Beck is unable to let go of the past, pushing our heroine out of his life.

Chloe Kingston is an interior designer who is struggling with a direction in life. Having been dumped and humiliated Chloe looks towards a different future, a possible future with her brother’s ex best friend. Beckett Daniels doesn’t do relationships at least not long term, having lost someone close in his life but falling for Chloe means breaking his own rules, rules he refuses to break for anyone including our story line heroine.

The relationship between Chloe and Beck is brother’s ex best friend/forbidden relationship. Chloe didn’t want to go home, so Beck offered his place to stay. Roommates that quickly turns into something more, Chloe and Beck are the perfect couple but Beck’s life is about to spiral out of control, and he refuses to lose anyone else including the woman with whom he is falling in love. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Chloe’s siblings: Linc and Jordan, Xander, Dash, Aurora, and their mother Melly; Beckett’s brothers Drew and Tripp, and their parents Kurt and Audrey Daniels.

JUST ONE SCANDAL is a story of family and friendships, betrayal and hurt, loss, grief, acceptance and love. The premise is emotional and captivating; the romance is seductive and provocative; the characters are broken, energetic, engaging and dynamic.
