REVIEW: I don’t think I have ever been so invested in a series before. The Steel Brothers Saga spans years of publications and generations in the series itself. Blaze is book twenty one in that series, and boy is it a winner.

Donny Steel is a man with a past, but one he tries to not let taint his future. He is more lighthearted and easy going than most of the guys I’ve read in the Steel series, and that was a welcome reward. There is so much to this book, and even more to the series, Donny, tries as he might, can’t get the ring out of his head. There is something else going on, and until he figures it out, moving on is going to have to wait. Callie has her own problems, her own past to deal with, but Donny is important to her enough to try again. Now with a new threat to her and her sister Callie is even more determined to solve the mystery and bring herself some happiness with Donny.

I can’t even describe how interesting and exciting this series is. Every time I finish one book, I look forward to the next one even more. The plot is so amazing, the characters are so intriguing, and the spicy bits will definitely keep a reader awake at night. LOL. The Steel family is all drama, all the time, but the people are just crazy enough to make me come back for more. There is always another clue, another mystery to solve, it’s addicting to read. Way to go HH for another great release!

REVIEW:BROKEN GOD is the fifth instalment in Jagger Cole’s contemporary, new adult SAVAGE HEIRS dark, erotic, Mafia romance series, and the first instalment in the author’s interconnected duet. This is eighteen year old Mafia princess Mara Belsky, and heir to the Reznikov’s throne Konstantin Reznikov’s story line. BROKEN GOD can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but for back story I recommend reading BRUTAL KING where Mara’s story begins.

WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Konstantin and Mara)and emails from the past, BROKEN GOD focuses on the weeks after eighteen year old Mara Belsky wakes from a four year coma, a coma induced by a bullet to the back of her head. Mara has no recollection of what happened four years earlier, and in the ensuing time, only bits and pieces from throughout her hospital stay come to the forefront and quickly disappear but Mara’s return to ‘civilization’ begins with her introduction to the Oxford Hills Academy, a private, preparatory school for the rich and infamous, an introduction that includes the dark and dangerous Konstantin Reznikov. The premise is dark, gritty, raw and dramatic; the characters are broken, embattled, powerful and charismatic; the romance is a power-struggle in which Mara is often threatened when she disobeys or talks back-Konstantin is broken, a bully, a powerful Mafia ‘god’ who is determined to break our story line heroine. Declan wants to protect his mentor’s legacy but falling for Seraphina was never meant to be. Seraphina has different plans for her late father’s ranch, a ranch that holds most of Declan’s memories from a time long ago. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to Declan’s former friends now business partners: Cole Montgomery, Jaime Dupree, and Booker, as well as attorney Harrison Goodman; Seraphina’s parents Andrew and Lucinda Crutchley, Kurt’s former love interest Glori Van Patten, house manager Tina, Brodie and Rosie Bowie (Just the Way You Are 4), as well as several ranch hands and townsfolk who reaffirm everything Phinny thought to be true, was a lie. Cole Montgomery’s story is next.

THE DEEPER I FALL is a story of family and relationships, betrayal and heart break, secrets and lies, love and acceptance. The character driven premise is emotional, captivating and engaging; the romance is intimate and intoxicating; the characters are edgy, broken, animated and lost.
