REVIEW: MONTANA DANGER is the second instalment in the contemporary ,adult RESTING WARRIOR RANCH erotic, romantic suspense series co-authored by Josie Jade and Janie Crouch. This is former US Navy SEAL and co-owner of Resting Warrior Ranch Harlan Young, and rancher/widow Grace Townsend. MONTANA DANGER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous storylines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Harlan and Grace) MONTANA DANGER follows the second chance relationship between thirty something former US Navy SEAL Harlan Young, and rancher Grace Townsend. A little over ten years earlier Harlan Young broke Grace Townsends heart, and in the ensuing years Grace struggled to forgive the man she once loved. Fast forward to present day wherein Harlan Young, co-owner of the Resting Warrior Ranch finds himself face to face with the woman he destroyed, a woman whose ranch has been targeted by the neighbor next door. What ensues is the rebuilding romance and relationship between Harlan and Grace, and the potential fall-out as greed and vengeance threaten the lives of our story line couple.

Ten years earlier, to protect her life, Harlan Young walked away from the woman he loved, a woman who came to despise the man who broke her heart. In an effort to move on from a dark and dangerous life, Grace married a man she did not love but a man who protected our heroine until the day he died. With the return of Harlan Young, Grace battled between head and heart but threats against Grace, and the ranch that she loved, forced Harlan to become guardian and protector of our story line heroine.

The relationship between Harlan and Grace is one of second chances; a rekindling romance wherein Harlan reveals the truth about what happened years before, a truth that forces Grace to relive the moments that almost destroyed her life. Grace had struggled to forgive the man that broke her heart until the truth acknowledges the painful reality. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.

Once again, we are re-introduced to Harlan’ s business partners and former US Navy SEALS: Liam, Lucas & Evelyn (Montana Sanctuary 1), Jude, Grant, Noah and Daniel, Deja Brew cafe owner Lena, and police chief Charlie Garcia. The requisite evil has many faces.

MONTANA DANGER is a story of greed and obsession, power and control, forgiveness and love, acceptance and happily ever after. The fast paced premise is edgy and gripping; the characters are spirited, energetic and determined; the romance is seductive and sensual.

Tyndal by M.A. Abraham – a Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo / Apple

Description:
As Angelika’s godmother and a member of an organization called “The Angels”, Tyndal has followed in her family’s footsteps in the outside world. Their place is to make the world a better place to live. Her time to continue her work has come to an end. In helping Angelika Leanne return to her home world, she has made a deadly enemy, one that will do whatever it takes to learn her secrets.

When Tyrus receives news that Tyndal has been injured, he goes to her rescue, his friend, Rhys, follows him. To Rhys’ surprise, he falls in love with the woman he is about to meet. They, however, come from different worlds. Or do they?

Review:

Tyndal by M.A. Abraham is a novella from her Daughters of the Valley series.  In the last book, Angelika, Ravel and Rafe managed to return home to their world.  Tyndal, who is Angelika’s godmother, stayed back in her outside world.  When Tyrus welcomes the three back, he notices a slight image of someone from the past; a dangerous enemy.  Concerned for Tyndal, Tyrus and Rhys enter the outside world to help Tyndal, but they are too late, as she has been injured and kidnapped.

Tyndal is a member of an organization called “The Angels”, and before she is hurt, she signals her friends to rescue her.  Tyrus and Rhys, meet some of the Angels, and together, with Rhys ability to sense where Tyndal is, they work on a plan to find her, and her captor.

We learn more about “the Angels”, whom Tyndal actually named each one based on the true Archangels, (Michael, Gabriel, Lucifier, etc to name a few).  The last half of this novella was very exciting, nonstop action to save Tyndal, and the enemy was a bad villain.  I loved how Rhys sensed Tyndal, as well as helping to heal her; which changed her body to be young again.

What follows is a wonderful fun and exciting story, with a slow burn romance of two people (Tyndal and Rhys) destined to become mates. I really enjoyed seeing all the wonderful characters Abraham has given us, especially the new Angels.  This is a story that you need to read and enjoy, so giving too much information would ruin it.  M.A. Abraham once again gives us a sweet lighthearted story line, and dangerous excitement.  I suggest you read Tyndal.  It was a fun read.

The War of Two Queens by Jennifer L. Armentrout – a Review

The War of Two Queens by Jennifer L. Armentrout – a Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo / Google Play / Apple / BAM / Book Depository

Description:
From the desperation of golden crowns…

Casteel Da’Neer knows all too well that very few are as cunning or vicious as the Blood Queen, but no one, not even him, could’ve prepared for the staggering revelations. The magnitude of what the Blood Queen has done is almost unthinkable.

And born of mortal flesh…

Nothing will stop Poppy from freeing her King and destroying everything the Blood Crown stands for. With the strength of the Primal of Life’s guards behind her, and the support of the wolven, Poppy must convince the Atlantian generals to make war her way—because there can be no retreat this time. Not if she has any hope of building a future where both kingdoms can reside in peace.

A great primal power rises…

Together, Poppy and Casteel must embrace traditions old and new to safeguard those they hold dear—to protect those who cannot defend themselves. But war is only the beginning. Ancient primal powers have already stirred, revealing the horror of what began eons ago. To end what the Blood Queen has begun, Poppy might have to become what she has been prophesied to be—what she fears the most.

As the Harbinger of Death and Destruction.

Review:

The War of Two Queens by Jennifer L. Armentrout is the 4th book in her fantastic Blood and Ash series. When we last left off, in The Crown of Gilded Bones, Cas is now a prisoner, being tortured by the evil Blood Queen, and her handmaidens and a powerful Revenant. Poppy, our amazing heroine, is determined to find a way to rescue Cas, with help from Kieran, the Wolvens, Drakens, and the Primal of Life guards. But in order to take back control of the territories that are part of the Blood Crown, Poppy must convince all the Atlantians, including her father-in-law (Valyn) to join forces, as they make their way to Carsononia, and the war to destroy the Blood Crown. I did like how Valyn was supportive to Poppy.  Poppy wanted to prove to the mortals in those Blood Crown lands that she wanted peace, and was not The Harbinger.

Poppy’s powers continue to increase, as she nears the culling; something Reaver (Draken) explains more about. I loved Reaver, not to mention Kieran and the fantastic wolvens loyal to their Queen, Poppy; the secondary characters were all awesome, Vonetta, Delano, Emil, Naill, Hisa, Tawny, just to name a few.

For at least more than half way through this book, we only saw through Cas’s POV during his imprisonment, and the things they did to him to try and force Poppy to rescue him.  I love their heartmate dreams between them, that was great, as his devotion to Poppy was awesome. It was also interesting to see Malik, learn more about Millicent, and who she really was.  I also got a kick out of Kieran and Reaver’s bickering between them.  Fun.

What follows is an intense, exciting and wild almost last half of the book, especially once Cas was freed and back with Poppy, Kieran and their wonderful team. The mind-blowing action in the last ¼ of the book was heart-wrenching, with lots of violence, danger, deaths that had me holding my breath, unable to put the book down.  Isbeth (Blood Queen) was truly evil, and the twist she threw at them was a surprise, but Poppy was as equally as strong as she was, which led to an amazing twist.  To say too much more would be spoilers and I do not want to spoil anything for you.   I so look forward to how the next book will have Poppy and Cas, and Sera and Nykos.   Should be amazing.

I will note that the terrible reactions from people (are they really fans?) crucifying JLA for the Joining, was very disrespectful.  JLA created her story line, how she saw it fit. It was her creativity, her characters, her story; however, she imagined it to be.

The War of Two Queens was another intriguing continuation to this fantastic series, with wonderful world building, and lots of action, suspense, violence, passion and fantastic characters.    As we race to the exciting heartbreaking, shocking, mindboggling climax, there are some amazing revelations.  The War of Two Queens was very well written by JLA, and also a romantic and intense story line that had a bit of everything.  I can’t wait for the next book.

Beauty Can Never Hide the Darkness of the Beast

I’m a man who only lives for revenge.
Three years ago, my business rival killed my young wife. I was left with nothing… nothing but dreams of vengeance.
Ever since then, I’ve been hunting him. I will ruin him, burn his houses, salt his ashes, and scatter them to the winds.

And it all starts when I walk into a club, my eyes on my rival.
The only problem?
Her.
Wide hazel eyes, a nest of raven hair, and curves to tempt me like no other.
She smiles at me, a beast who hasn’t known a stranger’s kindness in years.

I let my control slip, just for a second.
I have to taste her, to feel her under my hands, to hear her moans.
And that’s when everything spins out of control

REVIEW:THEIR DARK SECRETS co-authored by Kristen Luciani and Vivian Wood is the prequel novella in their contemporary, adult RICH AS SIN dark, erotic, romance trilogy focusing on Bella aka Rose, and Lincoln Theroux .

Told from dual first person perspectives (Bella and Lincoln) THEIR DARK SECRETS introduces the players and a little bit of back story in Kristen Luciani and Vivian Wood’s RICH AS SIN trilogy. Aimee is a woman married to the mob but a night of freedom finds Aimee and her sister Bella, looking for a mark, a whale to rob at a local $ex club but all does not go according to plan when Bella discovers she is out of her element, and Aimee becomes the target of a very dangerous man. When everything begins to spiral out of control, Bella finds herself with Lincoln Theroux, on the run, to stay one step ahead of the mob.

THEIR DARK SECRETS is a quick read; a short introductory novella that barely skims the surface of what’s happening or why. The premise is engaging but short on world or character development-there is more detail in the blurb than in the storyline premise; there is no romance; the characters are intriguing, colorful but broken. THEIR DARK SECRETS ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned

Can Honora and Benjamin survive the danger in which they find themselves and gain a chance for love and happiness?

•••••••

REVIEW:Book four in the Noble Hearts Series, I get the impression you don’t need to read the previous books in this series (I haven’t).It’s a tale of mystery and intrigue and a little romance, of lost loves and maybe a second chance at happiness.

Honora made a mistake years ago, and she paid for it…

When I first read about our FMC (Female Main Character) I thought her immature, selfish and shallow! But following her through her story, you get to know her better, and had to admire her in the end.

Benjamin doing his duty to king and country comes home to find his betrothed had not only jilted him, then taken her own life! Continuing his duty to the Royal family has Benjamin enjoying the intrigue, his mother wants him to settle down, but losing one lady love has him not wanting to experience the pain again!

We jump three years and Honora has a quiet life, bringing up her son. No one knows her, and so she moves back home to be with her family, but in doing so, brings her face to face with the one man she couldn’t forget! Benjamin is shocked to see what looks like his dead betrothed riding one day, hunting down the ghost of his past, he’s shocked to find out the ghost is real!

How can you forgive someone who not only disgraced themselves, but you as well? In this period of time ladies of society weren’t given the same rights as we have today. Dignity and propriety were everything, so being jilted was a big thing.
He can’t understand why she didn’t just tell him!

It’s a shortish read (13 chapters just over 200 pages) and apparently it’s an extended version from an anthology. Maybe that’s why it feels a little rushed in parts! And that’s why I couldn’t really connect with the characters.

It is a little rushed in places, it also feels like a few things needed exposing more (a little more detail about a certain few things that happened in the book)But I still enjoyed the intrigue, I liked how Benjamin wanted to do his duty to his country, but also to Honora.

So can this pair find a second chance at happiness? Can Benjamin find and apprehend the person wanting to steal from the royal family?
And will Honora be able to finally be free of her past?

TRC:  Hi Anna and welcome to The Reading Café. Congratulations on the release of My Lord, My Rogue.

FOLLOW Anna: Goodreads/ Website/ Facebook/ Twitter/ Bookbub/ Amazon Author Page

TRC:  We would like to start with some background information. Would you please tell us something about yourself?

Anna: I grew up in a single parent household in the South during a time when our society was challenged by constant change and opportunity. Luckily, we had family in the area, because childcare as we know it today, was rare. It was a boon to me my grandmother (who died shortly after I turned six), began teaching me to read before I started kindergarten. Reading and writing quickly became two of my favorite past times. I particularly enjoyed books with happily-ever-after and mysteries, two things you will often find in my stories.

I was fortunate to have an exciting Human Resources career and while I still do consulting, and related things, I have more time to write and be there for my two young granddaughters, my husband, and my pets. In fact, I have two rather spoiled dogs, a Parson’s Russell Terrier, and a Cockapoo. Both have found their way into my stories, which I love.

My writing career started a few years ago, but while it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever tackled, it’s the most fun career I’ve ever had!

TRC:  Who or what influenced your career in writing?

Anna:My maternal grandmother (whom I’ve already mentioned) and my mother, who would read with me when she got home from her second-shift job. She went to school full time to get her teaching degree and worked fulltime afterwards and was a tremendous influence in my life. She also influenced my style of writing, because she would sit with me when I had massive writing homework and give me pointers on how to write.

TRC:  What challenges or difficulties did you encounter writing and publishing this story?

Anna:This was one of those stories that had to be written. I cannot say there was much difficulty. The story practically wrote itself every time I sat behind my desk, and it quickly became one of my favorites.

TRC:  Would you please tell us something about the premise of My Lord, My Rogue?

Anna:A saying my husband is fond of saying gave me inspiration for the book. It goes: You can never know what is going on in someone else’s life unless you are standing in their shoes. This story follows (book 3) The Duke’s Golden Rings, and without giving away the plotlines for each, I will say the heroine in My Lord, My Rogue was the foundation for The Duke’s Golden Rings. Additionally, the heroine’s character in this fourth book of the series gets a chance at redemption. These two books are the two most closely tied stories in the series, although each one of them can be read as a stand-alone.

TRC:  What kind of research/plotting did you do, and how long did you spend researching /plotting before beginning My Lord, My Rogue?

Anna:I would describe myself as a pantser. I have never enjoyed plotting things to the “nth degree,” and don’t even try anymore. Once I establish the main theme of the story, I do try to come up with a secondary plot—which is usually some sort of mystery or intrigue. I research the main historic points and then, LOTS throughout the story writing. If I speak about flowers, I have researched the genre of including the events that I include in the story, Once I have the hero and the heroine well-defined in my mind and a skeleton of the story in my head, I begin to write, and the story materializes.

TRC:  How many books do you have planned for the NOBLE HEARTS series?

Anna:At this time, I think there will be two more stories in the Noble Hearts series. There are some characters that are begging for their own stories.

TRC:  Is any of the story line premise based in fact?

Anna:Parts of these stories are based on historical fact. For example, in My Lord, My Rogue, Queen Catherine visited Bath, and I used that visit for part of the storyline.

TRC:  Do you have any interest in writing, or have you ever written for another genre? Contemporary romance?

Anna:I have not considered Contemporary romance, although I have considered Edwardian and Victorian. I already write Civil War era, so it will not be a very large leap.

TRC:  Believability is an important factor in writing story lines especially stories with a historical feature. How do you keep the story line believable? Where do you think some author’s fail?

Anna:I focus on keeping things consistent with the way of life during the period I write, and my manuscripts are edited for consistency, including expressions and other things that can take the readers out of the story. I read a lot of books and find that some authors do not edit closely enough for these things. These types of problems could throw a reader out of the story.

TRC:  Do you believe the cover image plays a deciding factor for many readers in the process of selecting a book or new series to read?

Anna:Definitely! I think the cover and the blurb play important parts in selecting the story. I use a wonderful cover editor.

TRC:  When writing a storyline, do the characters direct the writing or do you direct the characters?

Anna:A little of both! I’ll have an idea of where we are going and as I start writing, the characters will take me in a different direction. This happens so often! I think it’s very common, especially with pantsers.

TRC:  The mark of a good writer is to pull the reader into the storyline so that they experience the emotions along with the characters. What do you believe a writer must do to make this happen? Where do you believe writer’s fail in this endeavor?

Anna:I try to bring the reader in within the first few pages with a lot of colorful description, emotion that a reader can readily identify with or be interested in, and an entertaining storyline.

TRC:  Do you listen to music while writing? If so, does the style of music influence the storyline direction? Characters?

Anna:I love having music in the background; however, it’s usually some mix of songs that I enjoy for the motivation and the uplift of the beat of the music. If there is any influence, it is motivation that keeps me writing. There is nothing really associated with the story being written.

What do you believe is the biggest misconception people have about authors?

Anna:I’m not sure it’s the biggest misconception, but one fallacy is that writing is their only career, when many have had other careers before turning to writing—or work another job in order to write. I had a robust career in human resources before ever starting to write.

TRC:  What is something that few, if anyone, know about you?

Anna:This is a tough question. I’m very much a ‘what you see is what you get’ kind of person. As a child, I was an early entrepreneur and used to do things to make money, during a time when things were tight in my home. I created a bike repair shop in my garage and taught myself to fix tires, gears, broken chains, and things like that. I would put handmade flyers in mailboxes to drum up business. I even built a bike out of pieces of old bike pieces and painted it for my mother, hoping she would conquer her fear and learn to ride. Mom loved that I built the bike for her but could never bring herself to learn to ride it. True story.

TRC:  On what are you currently working?

Anna:I’m writing my second book in the Lyon’s Den Connected World Series, a series by Dragonblade Publishing. Lyon’s Prey was the first book I wrote in the series.

LIGHTNING ROUND

Favorite Food: spaghetti

Favorite Dessert: popcorn

Favorite TV Show: Masterpiece – almost anything they show!

Last Movie You Saw: It’s been such a long time, I cannot recall, unless you can count the pile of Christmas movies (I love Miracle on 34th Street and A Christmas Story) that I watch every year.

Dark or Milk Chocolate : DARK…but I love all chocolate.

Secret Celebrity Crush: PIERCE BROSNAN

Last Vacation Destination: DISNEYLAND

Do you have any pets? :YES! Two dogs that I adore. And I sometimes write them in my stories.

Last book you read:  I’m almost finished with Eloisa James’ My American Duchess.

TRC:  Thank you Anna for taking the time to answer our questions. Congratulations on the new release. We wish you all the best.

Kissing Games by Stefanie London – a Review

Kissing Games by Stefanie London – a Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo / Google Play / Apple

Description:
Injured pro baseball player Ryan Bower has plenty of reasons for not sleeping. But thanks to a steamy romance novel that’s ignited the imaginations—and libidos—of pretty much everyone in Kissing Creek, Ryan’s kept awake by the sound of his parents. Having sex. Unforgivably gross. And Ryan is almost certain that the town’s adorably quirky and troublemaking librarian is responsible.

Sloane Rickman adores everything about her little town—with the exception of its very tall and infuriatingly sexy Golden Boy. Ryan Bower may be a ball-playing hottie, but where exactly does he get off telling her what books to recommend to her oddball little book club? Good thing he’s only in town for the fall.

Now Sloane and Ryan are stuck planning the main float for the town’s parade. But somewhere between arguments over paint colors and papier mâché flowers, their fights keep turning into red-hot kisses. And between Ryan’s demanding ball career and Sloane’s life in Kissing Creek, they face the biggest game of their lives…if they’re ready to play for keeps.

Review:

Kissing Games by Stefanie London is the second book in the Kissing Creek Series, and I loved it. It’s not necessarily essential to read the first book (they all stand on their own really well) but reading this book will have to trotting off to find the first book (which is a great read also ?) It has hilarious moments where I laughed out loud (a little inappropriate when your at work with headphones on) ? It’s also got a few moments where you just want to shake Ryan and tell him to sort himself out before he loses the best thing he’s ever had!

Ryan is home recovering from a sports injury, as soon as he’s healed he’s away from his hormonal parents (that had tears rolling down my face) in fact the whole town seems to be in the grip of something got and heavy! But at least it’s taking his mind off of his career, essentially he’s too old for baseball (professional level anyway) but he’s unsure where he’s heading, so he’s a bit of a grump at the moment!

Sloane is the local librarian at Kissing Creek, she loves it there. She loves the small town feel, and finally feels like she’s found a home she can settle and put down roots. Somehow these two characters are forced together to organise a float for the coming town parade. Ryan can’t think of anything worse! The banter between these two is such a joy to read, they bounce off of one another, and you’ll find yourself chuckling at odd moments. But if Ryan isn’t going to be here for much longer, then there is no point starting anything, is there?

If you love the small town Romance/ semi sporty feel romance then grab this book and be prepared to laugh through most of it. ?

Shenanigans (Brooklyn Bruisers 6) by Sarina Bowen-Review Tour

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date March 15, 2022

What I meant to do in Vegas: Let my hair down for once and celebrate winning a medal at my first women’s hockey all-stars competition.

What I actually did: Got senior prom drunk and woke up married to Brooklyn’s star winger, the great Neil Drake.

He’s the heir to a billion dollars, and I barely survived my childhood. Our friendship is based strictly only on hockey, takeout food and smack talk.

And now holy matrimony. Although we both know it can’t last, especially once his evil family gets wind of our Vegas shenanigans…

••••••

REVIEW:SHENANIGANS is the sixth full-length instalment in Sarina Bowen’s contemporary, adult BROOKLYN hockey, romance series (formerly known as the Brooklyn Bruisers)-a series that now includes the all women’s Brooklyn Bombshells hockey team. This is Brooklyn Bruisers hockey player Cornelius ‘Neil’ Drake, and Brooklyn Bombshells hockey player Charlotte ‘Charli’ Higgins’ story line. SHENANIGANS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Charli and Neil) SHENANIGANS follows the friends to lovers, Vegas marriage, fake relationship between Brooklyn Bruisers hockey player Cornelius ‘Neil’ Drake, and Brooklyn Bombshells hockey player Charlotte ‘Charli’ Higgins. An awards ceremony in Vegas ends with our couple, a very drunk couple, pretending to get married, only to wake up the next morning, married for real. Hoping for a quickie annulment, Neil and Charli discover that leaving Vegas was the worst thing they could do. When a paparazzi posts a picture of the couple entering a chapel, not only does the Brooklyn hockey organization begin to round up the troops, but Neil’s well-to-do family, begin to circle wagons in an attempt to protect their family holdings. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Neil and Charli, and the potential fall-out as both extended families take action, but action with varying degrees of threats and intimidation.

Neil Drake has lusted after Charli Higgins for as long as he can remember but never thought Charli saw him as boyfriend or marriage material. Charli always presented herself as not interested in the opposite $ex, disguising years of mistrust and threats at the hands of many men. When Charli draws a line in the proverbial sand with regards to their quickie marriage, Neil struggles with his growing attraction to a woman who believes she is unworthy of our hero’s love.

The relationship between Neil and Charli is a friends to lovers, fake relationship in which Charli is hoping for an immediate divorce. Targeted and threatened by both Neil’s family and her own, Charli is forced to walk away to protect the man with whom she is falling in love. Neil is quickly falling for the woman he married, a woman who stands up to protect our story line hero. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters cause most of the problems and issues in our couple’s lives-Silas (Superfan 3/Brooklyn Bruisers 7), Bess and Tank (Sureshot 4), the Bombshells’ coach Anton Bayer and his significant other Sylvie (Bombshells 5); Charli’s teammates Fiona, Angelica, and Samantha; her cousin Robert, and brother Dennis; Neil’s long-suffering mother Paloma Drake, his uncle Harmon, and his sister Paisley ; personal shopper Vera, and Neil’s ex Iris. The conflict resolution with Charli’s family ends rather abruptly-I was hoping for more.

SHENANIGANS is a story of family and dysfunction; secrets and lies; betrayal and vengeance, friendships, relationships, hockey and love. The character driven premise is emotional and intense ; the characters are animated, inspiring and energetic; the romance is spirited, edgy and tender.

REVIEW:UNDER THE MIDNIGHT SKY is the first instalment in Jackie Steele’s contemporary, adult, romantic suspense series focusing on twenty-four year old Anastasia Hartford, and Dr. Josh McMillan.

Told from first person perspective (Anastasia) UNDER THE MIDNIGHT SKY focuses on twenty-four year old Brooklyn native Anastasia Hartford. Anastasia Hartford has no memories of her past. A tragic and fatal car accident claimed the life of her parents, leaving our heroine with amnesia. A series of threatening letters from an anonymous source forces Ana to be more vigilant but a visit from a attorney informs Anastasia she is the sole heir to her great aunt’s Scottish estate. With nothing and no one holding her back, and the opportunity to escape the threatening letters, our heroine heads to Scotland, in the hopes of discovering something about her past. Her closest neighbor is Dr. Josh McMillan, a physician who practices in Chicago, and a man who interests our story line heroine. As Ana begins to navigate her new world and the people in it, small clues point to something else going on.

UNDER THE MIDNIGHT SKY follows Anastasia as she slowly learns a little bit about the new people in her life yet the familiarity of the area and her great aunt’s estate makes our heroine ponder about what really happened in the past. Leaving her friends behind, Ana begins to wonder if the threats in NYC will follow her to Scotland, threats that have continued since she’s been gone.

UNDER THE MIDNIGHT SKY is a story of love and loss, grief and absence, secrets, lies and suspense. The premise is intriguing, entertaining and intense but I suspect I know where the story line is heading ; the characters are edgy and lost; the romance has barely begun. UNDER THE MIDNIGHT SKY ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.
