This is Sargent at Arms Blaise ‘Bayou’ Ladet, and twenty-seven-year old social worker Novah Harrington’s story line. HESITATE can be read as a stand-alone without any difficulty. REVIEW:So book three starts where book two ended, so it’s important to read the two previous books before starting this one.

It’s all go from the first page!

Betrayal on both sides for our main characters, they aren’t sure who to trust….. Lost siblings, resurrected fathers and the witches are still against the shifters!!

Reid doesn’t know wether he can trust his senses or his father. Tasha was going for a sibling reunion. Well she got one, but it wasn’t the reunion she was expecting! Tasha has spent years looking for her sister, blaming the Redcliff for her disappearance, plotting her revenge. And now, it seems it was all for nothing….. Her sister didn’t want to be found, she had an agenda, and it didn’t include her sister!

So it looks like the only one they can trust is one another. Working together to unite the pack under Reid (although daddy dearest is trying to cause upheaval) is proving a challenge…..

This has to be my favourite book of the series. The link between Reid and Tasha is growing stronger, and so is their trust in one another. (Better late than never). Really well written and attention to detail was spot on. Great characters, heroes you’ll be cheering on and villains you’ll be booing at and throwing popcorn!

It’s a fast paced action and adventure story with a big helping of steam ?. The twists you don’t see coming, the turns that will have your head in a spin!

Sad to see this adventure come to an end, to be honest the ending did take me by surprise!

Review:

Lucky Streak by Tif Marcelo is a novel set in her Heart Resort series, which I have never read, but I really enjoyed this book.  The story starts 5 years ago, when Jackson and Tricia meet at the Blackjack table in Vegas; and they spent a sizzling night together. Jackson has never forgotten the woman of his dreams, and then 5 years later, to his shock, he discovers she is his neighbor.  Jackson, who just ended his military career,  is in town working for his estranged father, and brothers who are planning to buy out property for their own resort. But Jackson doesn’t know at this time, that Heart Resort has been around for a while, and is the competition his father wants to take over.

Beatrice Puso (her real name), works for Heart Resort, with her brothers, but she is also working with a friend on a new project that she loves, Beachy.  She buys a house in town, and together with her friend, their store is becoming successful, with them looking to expand.  But Bea has kept this a secret from her brothers, as she is the coordinator for Heart Resort.  When Bea runs into Jackson, who is staying with his mom, they are both shocked, and immediately the chemistry between them has not been forgotten.

In a short time, they both realize that Jackson’s father (who is not a nice man) plans to destroy Heart Resort, and together they try to find ways to stop his father. Bea and Jackson were in a difficult situation, especially with their families unaware of their relationship.  Bea was determined to build up her new project, which made her happy.  Jackson wanted to show his father he was a good worker, but he was determined to get him to leave Heart Resort alone. I loved Bea and Jackson together, as they made a great couple.  It was nice to get to know both families (not Jackson’s father), as there were some very nice secondary characters.  I adored Bea’s dog, Roxy.

Their relationship was centered on them trying to stay together, knowing the situation with each of the families.  Will they succeed or will they breakup? 

Lucky Streak was a nice second chance romance, with a great heroine, in Bea; as well as Jackson. To say too much more would be spoilers, and it was a wonderful story line.  Tif Marcelo did a great job writing this story.  Lucky Streak was a fun sweet read, centered on rival families.  I suggest you read this book.

The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and passionate but I dislike the use of a certain four-letter word in my romance story lines.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including most of the previous story line couples, as well as Kelly’s adopted parents, brothers and sisters; Kelly’s birth mother and step-brother, as well as Kelly and Levi’s daughters Ashley and Whitney. The requisite evil has many faces.

THE WIFE ASSIGNMENT is a story of secrets and lies, grief and loss, retribution and retaliation, power and control, acceptance, forgiveness and love. The premise is detailed, complex and involved-I had not read any of the previous story lines and felt a little lost with the mention of characters and events; the characters are numerous, determined and charismatic; the romance is provocative and intense.

REVIEW: UNSANCTIONED is the fourth instalment in Kaylea Cross’ contemporary, adult CRIMSON POINT PROTECTORS romantic suspense series -a spin off from the author’s Crimson Point series. This is former Delta Operator Callum Falconer, and relief organization volunteer Nadia Bishop’s story line. UNSANCTIONED can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. There is a cross-over with the author’s VENGEANCE series.

Told from third person perspective UNSANCTIONED follows in the wake of the Taliban taking control in Afghanistan. Months earlier Callum Falconer and his team rescued aid worker Nadia Bishop but work and life kept our couple apart no matter how hard Callum struggled to fit Nadia into his life. Nadia’s latest assignment finds her in war-torn Afghanistan where she will find herself trapped, in the wake of the Taliban taking control. Desperate to save the woman he loves, Callum Falconer sets into motion an unsanctioned mission, a mission that is aided by an unknown foe. As Callum and his team struggle to free Nadia from the Taliban control, Nadia comes to a decision about her life going forward.

Nadia Bishop is desperate to protect a young orphaned child but in doing so leaves herself open to danger and loss. On her own, Nadia must forge a path towards safety, a path she is hoping will lead to the man that she loves. Callum Falconer didn’t understand Nadia’s need to return to Afghanistan yet he knew from experience, trying to stop someone with such dogged determination may only result in suffering and pain. Rescuing Nadia was a team effort, a team he knows will cover his back.

The relationship between Callum and Nadia began months earlier but Nadia was constantly overseas, and Callum’s assignments took him around the world. Nadia struggled in the face of a past mired in rejection and betrayal, and in this, our heroine battles between head and heart, never knowing if Callum is the real deal, or something else. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate and intense.

Several characters cross over from the author’s original Crimson Point series, as well as a cameo from one of the Vengeance Valkyries, and the introduction of Nadia’ family. The requisite evil has many faces.

UNSANCTIONED is a story of war and death, loss and acceptance, search and rescue, love and understanding. The fast paced premise is intriguing, heart pounding and gritty; the romance is seductive; the characters are desperate and determined.
