ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October 16, 2022

Crew Madigan is a snowboarding legend. He’s gorgeous, rich, famous and every woman’s dream. Well, except mine. I’ll take a nerdy guy with a clumsy streak who wouldn’t know what to do with a pair of skis to save his life. Superstar athletes? No, thanks. World champions? Hard pass. Crew? Definitely not.

It’s been over a decade since Crew set foot on Madigan Mountain. Instead of sitting with his family during his brother’s wedding, he takes the chair beside mine. ESPN really doesn’t do that chiseled jaw justice. The cameras miss the flecks of gold in his eyes. When he invites me to his hotel room after the wedding, I break all of my own rules for just one night.

But here’s the problem with just one night. Crew is impossible to forget. And he’s not the only one who loves a thrill. The crash, the broken bones, are inevitable. Because together, we’re a little too wild.

REVIEW:  A LITTLE TOO WILD by Devney Perry is the third and final instalment in the contemporary, adult MADIGAN MOUNTAIN erotic, multi-authored romance series. This is thirty year old, professional snowboarder Crew Madigan, and twenty-eight year old ski instructor Raven Darcy’s story line. A LITTLE TOO WILD can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Crew and Raven) A LITTLE TOO WILD follows the building relationship between thirty year old, professional snowboarder Crew Madigan, and twenty-eight year old ski instructor Raven Darcy. Crew Madigan is a professional snowboarder who hasn’t been home, or seen his family in twelve years. Following the death of his beloved mother sixteen years earlier, Crew found himself floundering for direction, raised by his brothers, neglected by his father but the first opportunity to go pro, meant Crew ran from his family and never looked back. Returning for his brother Reed’s wedding made our hero realize everything yet nothing had changed but for the girl now woman he has lusted after for a very long time. Enter Raven Darcy, Crew’s best friend’s young sister, and the woman with whom Crew would fall in love. What ensues is the building but secret relationship between Crew and Raven, and the potential fall-out as Raven wants nothing more than the present.

Raven Darcy has been burned in the past, having come in second to every male in her life. With the return of Crew Madigan, if only for a short time, meant Raven had the opportunity for a no-strings attached weekend, a weekend that was about to turn into many more. Weston and Reed Madigan had plans to open and run one of the biggest ski resorts in Colorado, and were hoping for their younger brother to become part of the family, for now and in the future. Crew Madigan struggled in the years since his mother’s death, grieving alone without the benefit of his father. Battling between head and heart, Crew wanted nothing more than to claim Raven as his own but returning to Madigan Mountain came with the memories of the past, memories that no longer held happiness or fun.

The relationship between Crew and Raven is a best friend’s younger sister affair in which Raven refuses to commit to anything beyond a one-night stand but Crew finds himself in Colorado for an extended stay, a stay in which he and Raven will reconsider their future going forward. The $ex scenes are passionate and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are reintroduced to Crew’s brothers and their significant others: Reed and Ava, Weston and Callie, as well as their father Mark and his new wife Melody; Raven’s brother River, their mother Robin Darcy, and Crew’s personal assistant Marianne.

A LITTLE TOO WILD is a story of family and relationships, forgiveness and love. The premise is entertaining and heart warming; the romance is seductive; the characters are dynamic and determined.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October 4, 2022

The fate of our world rests in their hands.

Hades, god-king of the Underworld, has uncovered the mastermind behind the uprising destined to set his realm and the mortal world on a collision course. But his enemy has gone to ground and finding them is proving impossible, and the longer they elude his grasp, the stronger the darkness within him grows, slowly stealing control.

Persephone, god-queen of the Underworld, can only watch as a storm gathers on the horizon—a deadly war that threatens to strip her beloved family from her. As Hades fights his own battles against their enemy, she fights to keep the darkness within him at bay, never more aware of the danger he would be if she failed to keep it tamed.

But when their enemy strikes out at them from the shadows, dealing a blow that changes the course of the war and incites Hades’s wrath, the leash on the monster within him snaps and he is plunged into the darkness.

And saving this world might no longer be an option.

REVIEW: HADES is the ninth instalment in Felicity Heaton’s contemporary, adult GUARDIANS OF HADES paranormal/fantasy romance, mythology series, and the first in the author’s companion Greek Gods and Goddesses series. HADES focuses on an attack against Hades and Persephone, an attack meant to free several daemons, and bad guys from Tartarus, H*ll’s prison for supernatural prisoners. HADES is an ensemble story line featuring most of the previous story line couples, as well as several of the Greek Gods and Goddesses of Olympus.

WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise including graphic violence, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

NOTE: The Guardians of Hades series is Felicity Heaton’s interpretation of, and does not follow, the actual Greek mythological family tree or events.

Told from third person perspective HADES focuses on the abduction of Hade’s wife Persephone, an abduction meant to trap the god-king of H*ll. Hades, fearing for Persephone’s life, ventures in search of his wife, a search that will ultimately involve his children, his brothers Zeus and Poseidon, several gods and goddesses of Olympus, and his beloved Cerberus.

HADES is an action packed story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, family, friendships, relationships and love. Felicity Heaton pulls the reader into the depths of the Underworld as Hades struggles to free his wife from a desperate soul. The premise is entertaining and engaging-the first half is slow building; the second half is fast paced and intense; the romance is seductive; the characters are numerous, familiar, powerful and strong.

Where the Light Dies (Blood of Eith 4) by Gillian Grant-review

Amazon.com / Amazon.ca / B&N / KOBO / Chapters Indigo /

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October 4, 2022

Will he find redemption or fall into eternal darkness?

Elven warrior Abraxas Kain thought he died in the battle. Instead, he’s stranded in time, a hundred years in the past and enslaved to his enemy, the blood mage and necromancer, Nerezza. Re-fighting old battles, Abraxas is forced to confront the atrocities he’s committed. He’d once been the Champion of Haphion, the God of Light. But had the battles he’d fought really been for the moral side? He no longer believes in redemption. There is only salvation, and salvation requires sacrifice.

As a lost daughter of Serevadia, Nerezza believes it’s her duty to bring her people out of the shadows where they’ve been living underground and into the light on the surface. And whether he’s willing or not, Nerezza is determined Abraxas will help her.

In the present time, Evren and the Wandering Sols grieve for Abraxas. Then they find themselves in a race against time as the Serevadian threat beneath their feet begins a war for the surface. Nerezza was once a friend, but destiny and her lust for power has turned her against the Wandering Sols as she hunts for the artifacts that will give her the divinity to return her people to their rightful place. Abraxas fights his own internal battle. Will he remain trapped in the darkness of the past or find his way back to the light? What will be sacrificed as old allies and enemies return to face the coming threat of an entire world at war?

•••••••

REVIEW: WHERE THE LIGHT DIES is the fourth instalment in Gillian Grant’s adult THE BLOOD OF EITH high fantasy series focusing on twenty-three year old, half-elf, hunter Evren Hanali of Orenlion, and her ragtag team of misfit warriors who call themselves the Wandering Sols. WHERE THE LIGHT DIES can be read as a stand alone but for back story and cohesion, I recommend reading the series in order as several plot lines converge in each instalment.

Told from third person perspective WHERE THE LIGHTS DIES follows two paths: Elven warrior Abraxas Kain and newly turned necromancer/ blood mage Nerezza descend through time arriving one-hundred years before the current timeline. Believed to have been killed in the last battle, Abraxa finds himself a slave to a woman who was once a friend but a slave who will amass more power than anyone could have ever imagined.

Meanwhile, the current timeline finds Evren and the Wandering Sols searching for their friends, friends believed to have died but may still be alive. As both timelines focus on a war for control and influence, Abraxa and Nerezza go in search of an artifact that will give one or both god-like powers, while Evren pushes herself to the edge of reason, in an effort to protect the people she loves.

Once again, most of the previous story line characters return including Sorin Trinity, goblin Arke, dwarf warrior Solri Amet, and Keres, a spirit that is able to enter the bodies of the recently deceased but a spirit searching for a permanent home.

WHERE THE LIGHT DIES is a detailed, complex, action packed adventure of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, secrets and lies, life and death, time travel and resurrection, all reminiscent of the Lord of the Rings™ franchise; the varying facets of Dungeons and Dragons™, and A Game of Thrones™ fantasy saga. From elves to dwarves, mages and dragon, WHERE THE LIGHT DIES takes the read into a fantastical journey where not everyone will survive.

••••••

REVIEW: CROSSED is the first instalment in Lynn Rush’s contemporary, adult WINGED paranormal/fantasy romance series focusing on nineteen year old angel Trinity Dawkins, and twenty-three year old artist Jayden Brown.

Told from first person perspective (Trinity) CROSSED follows nineteen Trinity Dawkins in the aftermath of ‘crossing’ between two parallel Realms. Trinity Dawkins has amnesia, found wondering the streets of Berg, Minnesota, a young woman without the ability to see or talk. Rescued by artist Jayden Brown, Trinity will quickly recover but for the strange scars that appear on her back. Falling for Jayden was easy but Trinity was unaware of the true nature of her DNA, DNA that would reveal hidden wings and someone else waiting for her back home. What ensues is the slow building relationship between Trinity and Jayden, and the potential fall-out as several people from her home-world come searching for our story line heroine.

Trinity Dawkins has no idea as to the who, what and how of her current predicament but her memories will slowly reveal not all was well in her world, back home. Naïve to the smallest nuances of modern Earth, Trinity must learn the basic of elements, in an effort to survive in a world she knows nothing about. Jayden Brown is an outcast; rejected by his family for his choices in life, Jayden finds himself a reclusive artist who has lost his muse in the face of losing someone he loved. Trinity’s arrival in Jayden’s life stirs up more than his sexual desire but the return of need for paint and draw.

The relationship between Jayden and Trinity is one of immediate attraction but Trinity is almost childlike in her inability to understand and comprehend the modern world, and Jayden isn’t free to pursue our story line heroine. There are no $ex scenes.

We are introduced to Jayden’s agent Zander and his wife Karen; Detective Nicks; Trinity’s cousin August, as well as Bastian and Trystan, Trystan’s mother Catherine, and Jayden’s ex Grace.

CROSSED is a story of trust and understanding, magic and mayhem, acceptance and first love. The premise is engaging and intriguing; the romance is subtle and limited; the characters are magical, energetic and struggling.

REVIEW: DEVIL’S KISS is the first instalment in Faith Summers’ contemporary, adult SAVAGE LEGACY dark, erotic, Bratva romance series. This is twenty-eight year old Desmier Volkova, the new head of the Volkova empire, and nineteen year old Anastasia Sidorov’s story line.

WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Desmier and Anastasia) DEVIL’S KISS follows in the aftermath of the wedding that almost was. Anastasia Sidorov was about to marry Bratva heir Viktor Volkova when Desmier Volkova, the older and illegitimate son of Evgeni Volkova, a man currently on life-support and not expected to survive, steps in and claims Anastasia for himself. Forced, by a previous arrangement between the Volkova and Sidorov families, into a relationship with Desmier Volkova, Anastasia faces a possible future as a virtual prisoner of Desmier Volkova, the man with whom Anastasia will fall in love but all is not well within the Volkova family, when our couple find themselves pawns in a billion dollar game of winner takes all. Desmier Volkova has planned his revenge for years against those who murdered his mother, and left him for dead. Starting with claiming the Volkova empire, Desmier laid claim to his brother’s betrothed, the woman with whom he would fall in love. Anastasia Sidorov has suffered both physically and emotionally most of her life but a car accident left our heroine with no memory of the past, a past that was about to reveal everything she thought to be real, was a lie.

The relationship between Anastasia and Desmier is a forced proximity, arranged marriage, predicated upon an arrangement made years before. As the eldest son, Desmier assumes the mantel of boss, recognized by the Bratva and the Pakhan in charge, and with the position comes the hand of Anastasia Sidorov, the only daughter of the Volkova enforcer. Anastasia finds herself falling for a man who could just as easily destroy her life, a life made up of secrets and lies. The $ex scenes are impassioned and aggressive.

Ten years ago, Sage was too damn young for my darkness, so I put up a wall. It worked—until the day it didn’t. Being with her wasn’t supposed to rock my world, but it sure as hell did.
The last thing I planned to do was move back to Texas and the secrets I left behind.
But all debts must be paid, and I owed a big one.
Now I’m the President of the Dallas, Texas chapter, and I’m haunted by the woman I left behind. I tell myself I’m better off alone, and I’m almost convinced. But then she shows up on the back of my brother’s goddamn bike with trouble nipping at her heels.
If that isn’t enough to piss me off, her trouble catches up, leaving both her and my chapter in the sights of a contract killer. I’m not taking either situation lying down. I’m stealing her from my brother, and I’m eliminating the threat against us.
Because Sage and the Dallas chapter are mine—and no one touches what’s mine.

Unfortunately, Kelsey Atwood had a different experience. The world she returned to has changed. Twelve years have passed, and they’ve been twelve hard years for the friends and family she never meant to leave behind. The little boy she adopted is now a grown man. The husbands she longed to see are scattered and on different sides of a war for control of the supernatural world. Her most trusted friend is now the leather-clad minion of the enemy, Myrddin.

Dealing with the wreckage of her personal life will have to wait, though, because the only chance at a hopeful future is deciphering an obscure prophecy, and she means to solve it. This quest will take her crew to a nest of primal vampires and the fierce world known as The Under. Filled with fantastic creatures and wonders she never imagined she would see, this new discovery leads her to something she is all too familiar with—a murder to solve and a killer to catch.

Trying to reconnect with her husbands and her son is already challenging enough, but as she begins piecing together the story behind the crime, it becomes clear that this mystery may tear down The Under and everyone who calls it home.

REVIEW: THE REBEL GUARDIAN is the second instalment in Lexi Blake’s adult OUTLAW erotic, paranormal/fantasy series set in the world of the author’s world of the THIEVES. This is guardian/hunter/wolf Kelsey Atwood and her husbands werewolf Trent, and half-demon/ lord of H*ll Grayson Sloane’s story line. THE REBEL GUARDIAN can be read as a stand alone but for back story and cohesion, I recommend reading the series in order, as well as the author’s THIEVES series.

SOME BACKGROUND: Approximately twelve years earlier, along with Queen of all Vampire / and the wife of the high priest of the Seelie and the Unseelie Zoey Donovan-Quinn, and king of the vampires Daniel Donovan, Kelsey Atwood travelled through a portal, a magical painting where they would spend four days in the land of the Faery but upon their return discovered twelve years in real time had past, twelve years in which a war between the supernatural creatures killed many, destroying friendships and families, leaving Kelsey struggling for the years that she lost with her husbands, family and children.

Told from first person perspective (Kelsey) THE REBEL GUARDIAN focuses on Kelsey’s rekindling relationship with both of her husbands in the wake of the fall-out of time spent apart but all is not well in the ‘Under’, the plane where Kelsey and her family have been secreted away, when Kelsey is called in to investigate two murders that may or may not be connected to a prophecy foretold by her demonic husband. Along the way, Kelsey must contend with her best friend turned demon Olivia, a former friend who is determined to return to the H*ll plane with our heroine in tow. The search for a magical book of spells and Kelsey’s blade ‘Gladys’ only adds to the possibility that Myrddin Emrys aka Merlin, intends to close the portal to the Heavens, opening the portal to H*ll using the bloodlines of three powerful families, a portal he is hoping to send through the H*ll demons to Earth.

Lexi Blake has built a world of magical creatures and supernatural powers traversing several planes of history, times, and existence, as well as the intricate character revelations both living and dead, and the recently deceased who have become something else.

Like THE REBEL QUEEN, THE REBEL GUARDIAN is a complex, detailed, multi-levelled, action packed, character-filled and often humorous story line of power and control, betrayal and revenge, magic and mythology, family and love. I highly recommend reading the series in order, as well as the original THIEVES series as the history, background and world building is necessary in order to avoid any unnecessary confusion due to the references to previous encounters, and the complicated and intricate entanglements between characters including family, friends, and enemies.

I blinked in the bright light and allowed my eyes to adjust yet again. I’d gone from Frelsi, where magic kept the city warm, to the chilly depths of an underground nest to… I wasn’t sure where I was, but it was warm and there was water nearby and a small cabin. Trees rose around me, and I realized the water was more like a bayou.
That was the moment I knew someone was watching me.
The world went watery because Trent stood near the cabin. His beard had grown out and his hair was longer. He looked far more like the wolf he was than the soldier he’d presented to the world twelve years before.
I stood there, our gazes locked.
Twelve years. He’d taken in Fenrir because we were going to make a family together, and I’d left him alone. He’d had to raise not only Fen, but Lee and Rhys and Evan. He’d gone from single and free one day to raising a pack on the run, protecting and sheltering them.
From what I could tell the only person he’d been able to rely on had been Sasha Federov, a vampire. While Sasha had no doubt been an amazing general for their little army, he would also be dead at least half the day.
Years will pass. Your wolf will howl but he will remain steadfast.
Gray’s prophecy had told me that we would be standing here, Trent and I. We would be standing here with the years between us, my wolf’s steadfast faith still binding us.
I knew that because I could feel him. Even with yards between us, I could feel Trent’s love.
I had never seen my wolf cry, but there were tears rolling down that face I loved.
That was when my walls broke down. Trent was here, and we’d lost so much. We’d lost all that time, and he was still here with me. I recognized somewhere in the background that the old me would have wondered if he’d brought me out here so he could explain that he’d moved on.
But I’d meshed my soul with his, and I trusted and believed in him completely.
He was my mate.
The wall crumbled because he was here.
The world went watery, and I heard someone scream. Me. I let the pain out.
Twelve years. Twelve years. Myrddin had taken twelve fucking years. My son’s childhood. Twelve years of my marriage, of love between us. Gray was gone because I’d been trapped.
Olivia. He’d taken my best friend.
He’d killed people I knew, people who had lives and loves and should have had more of both. All gone because one wizard wanted power.
He’d scattered our families to the winds without a care for any of us.
I started to fall but Trent was there before I could hit the ground. His big arms went around me and through my wracking sobs, I could smell him. That woodsy, wolfy smell that felt safe, that brought me home, hit my soul, and I wrapped myself around him.
“I’m so sorry.” I was sorry I’d gone into that painting, sorry I’d spent the four days I’d been on the outer planes not thinking much about him. That was the worst. I’d practically viewed it as nothing more than a job. I’d felt inconvenienced, while his world had been turned upside down and he’d lost everything.
He squeezed me so tight. “I missed you. I missed you every second of every day for twelve years, Kelsey.”

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date

He’s tall, sexy…and a total prick. Sign me up.

Helper. Problem-solver. Situation savior.
It’s who I am–and what I do.

But when I meet the sexy, rugged, and totally irresistible British guitarist, everything goes into overdrive. I want him–possibly crave him. And I’m hellbent on fixing everything he’s facing.

There’s only one small problem. Gabriel Knight wants nothing to do with me or my savvy solutions to his agony. The more I try; the worse he gets. As his neighbor, his acquaintance, and his drooling fan, I’m not giving up. Tall, dark, and dreamy just needs to get on board and know what I’ve known all along: we’re going to be explosive in the bedroom for years to come. Now, he just needs to succumb to everything I want.

REVIEW: I’ll say this once, I’ll say it a hundred times. I love a grumpy hero! Tall, Dark, and Dreamy is that second installment in the Billionaire Baines Family novels. The book is fabulous as standalone, but as always, I’m a reader who loves a series order.

Enemies to lovers has never been more true for Ravina and Gabriel. Gabriel has one thing that he wants; custody of his daughter, nothing and I do mean nothing matters more to him than that. The grumpy, singer/artist is fighting a battle for custody of his daughter, and nothing will stop him from making sure she is happy and safe. He however wants nothing to do with his new neighbor, the one that’s all sunshine and determination. Ravina is stubborn and strong, with one look at Gabriel she knows he’s worth climbing whatever walls he’s put up. The only problem? He doesn’t want a diggity darn thing to do with her, he is almost as stubborn as she is in his grumpy ways. So what is Ravina to do? Well, meddle of course!

Oh how this series makes me feel. The funny moments, the family love, the spicy bedroom rendezvous, watching a father fight for his child with everything he has in him, to finding one’s dream and happiness. This book has all the feels. For those coming into this author for the first time, relish the journey you are starting. I can’t wait to see where Baines takes us next.
