ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date May 25, 2023

If love is the deadliest weapon, I’m about to discover just how much I can bleed.

My father always warned me against falling in love. That all it would bring is pain and betrayal. But when I meet Noah and his golden gaze trails over me like a fiery tongue that heats my skin, I want nothing more than to prove him wrong.

I should know better. Look deeper into his beautiful eyes, to see the darkness that lurks beneath. I don’t.

And when I fall in love, I dive past the point of no return, completely unaware that every kiss, every passionate caress, is a knife slicing across my skin.

Because Noah isn’t the charming guy I thought he was. He’s the ruthless hitman for the Gianni family on a mission of revenge against my father.

He enacts his vengeance with such seductive perfection, that by the time I realize what he’s done, I’m already dying. Yet, I’m so addicted to the pleasure of every cut, I’m not sure if I want to find a way out…

Or be killed by the blade of his touch.

REVIEW: RUTHLESS HEIR is the second instalment in Aidee Jaimes contemporary, adult SEVEN DEADLY SINACORES dark, erotic, Mafia romance series. This is Noah (Russo) Esposito, and artist/ gallery owner Emily Shaw’s story line. RUTHLESS HEIR can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion. The events of RUTHLESS HEIR run parallel to, and cross over with the event of book one MERCILESS VOWS.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Emily’s and Noah) RUTHLESS HEIR follows in the aftermath of the murder of Noah Esposito’s father Leonardo. With the discovery of Leonardo’s body, and the resulting fight for power in the family, Noah goes in search of the person responsible only to discover all was not as it appeared to be. In the hopes of destroying not only a killer but his family as well, Noah begins a slow seductive of Emily Shaw, the daughter of the man he holds responsible for the death of his father but all is not well in the group that will come to be known as the Sinacore Alliance when a killer known as The Ferryman begins the systematic assassination of the heads of the connected Crime families. What ensues is the building relationship between Noah and Emily, and the potential fall-out when Emily finds herself facing her own mortality, at the hands of the man that she has grown to love.

The relationship between Emily and Noah begins in the wake of the murder of Leonardo Esposito. Noah is on the hunt for the person responsible, and Noah believes said killer may be connected to our story line heroine. Emily has be warned away from Noah Esposito, a man she believes to be someone else, and the man who is about to break her heart. The $ex scenes are provocative and intense.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and familiar secondary and supporting characters including Luca and Carina Sinacore, as well asseveral members of the newly formed Sinacore Alliance; Noah’s step-mother Sylvia Esposito, Gideon Black, and Emily’s father Jackson Shaw. The requisite evil has many faces.

RUTHLESS HEIR is another story of power and control, secrets and lies, betrayal and revenge, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is detailed and dramatic; the romance is edgy; the characters are desperate and determined. RUTHLESS HEIR ends on a bit of a cliff hanger-you have been warned.

ABOUT THE BOOK:

I sold my soul to the Devil and he handed me over to someone far deadlier.

After the death of my father, his enemies came knocking on my door. Left with no other choice, I agree to an indentured contract, selling my body to a criminal in exchange for my life.

Only he never meant to keep me as his own. Instead, he offers me to the highest bidder in one of Philadelphia’s most exclusive underground auction houses.

I’m dressed in the finest silks and paraded in front of dozens of the wealthiest men shouting their bids. But it’s the voice from the shadows that wins.

I now belong to Arran Maxton. He’s powerful. Ruthless. Handsome as sin and just as cruel. He’s also my father’s greatest enemy.

I’m made to pay for transgressions I did not commit. To submit myself to his mercy.

Hatred fuels the lust and hunger in his gaze as he possesses me. Punishing me with every ounce of pleasure he reaps from my body. Forcing me closer to delirious insanity where I beg for his touch…

even when I know it will eventually kill me.

REVIEW:CRUEL PRINCE is the third instalment in Aidee Jaimes contemporary, adult SEVEN DEADLY SINACORES dark, erotic, Mafia romance series. This is crime boss and businessman Arran Maxton, and twenty year old, Imogen ‘Skye’ Cameron’s story line. CRUEL PRINCE can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion as there is an ongoing premise throughout.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from three first person perspectives (Skye, Arran and Maise) CRUEL PRINCE follows in the aftermath of the murder of Skye and Maise’s father Judge Thomas Cameron. Judge Cameron was a man of questionable morals but he loved his daughters. Having left them everything, Skye is forewarned that if something were to happen, to take her younger sister and run but within hours, Skye and Maise find themselves the captive of a man who is seeking revenge. Sold to the highest bidder for five years of service, Skye finds herself the ‘slave’ to crime boss Arran Maxton, a man with whom she if forced to get up close and personal. Arran Maxton is desperate to destroy the family of the man he blames for killing his sister, and the only person standing in the way is the woman with whom he will fall in love. What ensues is the building but acrimonious relationship between Arran and Skye, and the potential fall-out when secrets are revealed breaking Skye’s heart, and destroying any chance at happiness for our story line couple.

The world building continues to focus on the assassin known as The Ferryman, a man who is determined to destroy everyone connected to the death of someone he loved-the assassination of all of the heads of the crime families for sins of the past. Arran Maxton is a member of the group calling themselves the Sinacore Alliance, and it is the Alliance who have been targeted, one assassination at a time.

The relationship between Arran and Skye begins as a purchase. Arran is the winning bid for a contract focusing on our story line heroine, a five year indentured service to protect someone she loves but Arran never expected to fall in love with the woman he was determined to destroy, a woman who is about to discover the depths to which she is willing to go to save her younger sister. The $ex scenes are erotic and passionate.

Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of colorful and powerful secondary and supporting characters many of whom we have previous met in the first two instalments. We are introduced to Arran’s father Clive Maxton, as well as the assassin Scarlet.

CRUEL PRINCE is a story of death and destruction, secrets and lies, power and control, trust and misgivings, forgiveness and love. The premise is intriguing, dramatic and edgy; the characters are strong-willed, stubborn and decisive; the romance is fated but struggling in the face of desperation and lies. CRUEL PRINCE ends on a happily ever after-for now. The overall conflict has yet to be resolved.

Total Eclipse of the Moon by Zoe Forward – a Review

Total Eclipse of the Moon by Zoe Forward – a Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo / Apple / Bookbub

Description:
If he doesn’t break the curse tying him and his brothers to the Crown of England as paranormal terrorist hunters, they’ll be forced to execute him.

An accidental demon possession erodes Shane Lanzo’s sanity. Sometimes he’s in control. Sometimes not. His only hope is the witch who cast the curse, which is a problem. The last two times he approached her, the feisty enchantress somehow tamed the demon inside him, but rendered him useless against his desire for her.

Madeline Edney sucks at being a witch. Her casting the curse on the lycan brothers was a fluke, and it destroyed her life. She’s been hunted by the Crown ever since to make sure she doesn’t try to undo the curse. She never expected Shane to find her so easily. He’s a temptation that promises zinger chemistry, her absolute weakness. One taste was gratifying. Two was foolish. Three has become an addiction. Lifting the curse requires she forfeit her life, but if the hunters kill her, it leaves Shane at the mercy of the Crown. Either way she dies.

Shane has a choice: freedom for his family, risking Madeline in the process or a chance at happiness with the witch who fated his brothers as prisoners for eternity.

Review:

Total Eclipse of the Moon by Zoe Forward is the 3rd book in her Crown of Wolves series. The Lanzo brothers (Lycans), are bound to the Crown’s command, as they have  been cursed to be the Crowns weapons, and destroy all enemies. We meet the fourth brother, Shane, who was presumed dead; but he has been accidently possessed by a demon; with both fighting for control.  Shane is determined to find a way to break the curse tying him and his brothers to the Crown of England, as paranormal terrorist hunters. Though he has met her a couple of times, he has not been successful to get the witch to remove the curse that she put on all 4 brothers.

Madeline Edney, a witch, who has limited powers, does her best over the years, to avoid Shane or any of the other brothers, since she really doesn’t know how to remove the curse.  Madeline knows the Crown is always keeping an eye on her to not remove the curse; she is very much aware that lifting the curse will cause her death.

Shane does find Madeline, who is able to help tame his demon, especially when she sings.  Both Shane and Madeline find themselves very attracted to each other, with sizzling chemistry; giving into their passion, which is now addicting.  Madeline manages to leave Shane behind, leaving him to return home to his family, who are shocked that he is still alive.

What follows is an exciting, tense, action-packed adventure that kept me unable to put the book down.  I loved the chemistry between Shane and Maddy, and prayed they would find a way to be together, especially with her possible loss of life if she removes the curse. Shane, who is totally in love with Maddy, wanted to remove the curse, but he did not want her to die doing it.  He had to find another way to save her. It was great to see the whole family together: Roman, Nova, Ky, Vivi, as well as Cora, Evie, Dom, Antonio and at the end, I did like Baku (the demon).  I do not want to say too much more, because you need to read this book, without me ruining it for you

Total Eclipse of the Moon was exciting through most of the book, with non-stop action, great characters, and a world filled with witches, secrets, enemies, vampire and battles. I thought that Shane and Madeline were so great together. Total Eclipse of the Moon was so very well written by Zoe Forward

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date August 17, 2023

The best time to find yourself is before you hit rock bottom.

My mom died when I was ten, taking my happy family life with her. And since my dad’s only useful enough to drain a bottle, I’ve learned to live with nothing, except the love and generosity of my best friends.

My relationship with twins Damon and Declan has always been close. Too close according to what society has deemed appropriate between guy friends. But that’s never stopped our hugging and cuddling—in public or private. My best friends know I didn’t receive affection from home, so they never let me go without it.

But at twenty-two, the guilt of taking handouts from my friends catches up with me. Filled with self-loathing, I decide it’s time to make a change.

Determined to pay my own way, I accept a strange proposition from my former professor. Suddenly, I find myself with a sugar daddy, and a whole lot of questions I’m not sure how to process.

The twins have always known they were gay—just like I’ve known I was straight. But now, I wonder if the love and affection I’ve always craved was for something else entirely.

•••••••

REVIEW: Again something different from one of my favourite authors. It has triggers, so I do advise reading them before opening. Because once you open you won’t put it down!

Simon just makes you want to cuddle and protect him, he also wants to make you want to take him away from a relationship that really isn’t doing him any favours! His relationship with his best friends (twins Declan and Damon) in my opinion was suffocating! They come across as controlling and possessive! They might have been friends forever, and their parents took Simon in when he lost his mother and his father just stopped caring! But that didn’t give them the right to take over his life! Simon had gotten so much love from his parents as a child, and when that got taken away, he was left open and vulnerable, and I think the twins at first were doing it from a good place, but as they grew older I think they hoped Simon would announce he was gay. And maybe the twins thought he would be theirs!!

But Simon only hooks up with girls, and even then it’s more as a function than a need ??‍♀️ And even a one night stand with a guy doesn’t really excite him! But the twins are furious! (Were they hoping to be his first gay experience?)

Quinlan is a teacher with a huge crush! Meeting Simon in his class last semester had a huge impact on him, but fraternising with a student is a big NO! He wouldn’t put his career on the line, but there was something about Simon that pushed all of Quin’s buttons. So when an opportunity arises, Quin is there to fill out a fantasy! But before he can ask Simon out on a date…. The twins descend and take him away!!!

Simon might like the attention and the love Declan and Damon give him, but he’s not happy with taking money from them (even though they constantly offer and sneak him money) and so when a debt comes in, Simon is going to pay it off himself….. the answer….

What comes next is an emotional rollercoaster of a ride. As an outsider you can see where this is going. But reading it makes you experience this ride. And let me tell you I did not put the book down. It pulls at your heartstrings, it will make you want to throw your kindle at the wall, and it has me throwing my hands up several times shouting “why would you do that?” ?

Can Simon explore his newfound sexuality (apparently he’s only gay for Quin!) without losing his two best friend? (Who are vile in some instances!) Will there be a time when Quin will have Simon all to himself? Or will he have to constantly vie for his lovers attention?

I did like the way Quin supported and cared for Simon. He gave him the tools to make his own decisions, their relationship although rocky at first, gathered strength.
Is it a HEA (happy ever after)? I don’t know. I know it’s a HFN (happy for now)

I’m hoping the next book in this trilogy has a few snippets of Simon and Quinlan. I’m not ready to let them go ❤️‍?

Do I want a HEA for the twins? ?

Oh…. And Vulcan! Yes that’s his real name (best friend to Quinlan) is absolutely adorable, I want a HEA for him, I’d love him as a friend, he sounds like the coolest guy alive ?he brought laughter and tears to this book. He was a great addition to the characters.

It’s another really well thought out and beautifully written book. The author is stretching her wings with different genres, and it’s another one that’s going to be a favourite of mine.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date August 17, 2023

A socially awkward woman falls for a grieving widower and overcomes a lifetime of bullying to get the man of her dreams.

Every day at the same time, a handsome businessman comes into my sister’s coffee shop. He’s so hot; I can hardly look at him long enough to take his order. I want to tell him how much I enjoy his warm smile and kind words, but my voice catches in my throat.

When I was in high school, the kids called me stupid, not knowing that my IQ is in the genius category. Now that I’m a successful biological researcher, I shouldn’t care about the past. But when Rhett asks me on a date, those insecurities come racing back.

•••••

REVIEW:Book seven in the Seaforth Billionaires series has arrived, and oh my whole heart loves this one! As always, I recommend reading the series in order to get the full amazingness that is the series, but it can be read as a standalone.

Rhett and Bronte are adorable together, they meet in such a funny way and that gives the book such a nice take off point. Bronte is a very smart cookie, one that has made a life for herself in the best way possible, even with living with her asperger’s syndrome. Rhett is a widower who is still dealing with the after effects of his marriage, but that doesn’t stop him from returning to the coffee shop he knows that Bronte frequents.

When they finally start seeing one another, they both come to see that they each have hurdles they must overcome to really give their new found relationship a chance. Both are more than willing to do this, even if it means ripping the band-aid off so to say. Their entire story is both funny and sentimental at the same time, until they get comfortable with one another, they are both so awkward together, but also so very intense. Neither of them want to say the wrong thing to the other, but they also don’t know what to say at times. Their chemistry is what saves the day, and when they get to the spicy bits…it’s perfect.

I think this may be my favorite of the series, and I really hope to see some of these characters again. Nice job Ms. Author!

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date August 17, 2023

Once upon a time, a lion saved a girl. His little cinnamon girl.

That lion grew up into a prince. Dark, bitter, and so beautiful that it
hurt to look at him.

But underneath it all, the girl saw the man. She saw his hunger for love
and affection, and she had plenty to give.

I was that girl. I fell in love, even though he told me not to. I gave him
everything, because that was who I was.

I was determined to show him the light in this world, and his smiles
were what I lived for. He was my art, my melody, my muse. We were beautiful together.
So I gave and gave, all to my bitter prince. Until I had nothing left to give.
Until he left me empty.

No one warned me love would push me into darkness so cold, it’d tear me apart.
To survive, I’d have to kill the cinnamon girl and become someone else. Someone I didn’t recognize.

REVIEW:  BITTER PRINCE is the first instalment in Eva Winners’ contemporary, new adult STOLEN EMPIRE dark, erotic, Mafia romance trilogy. This is heir to the Yakuza throne Amon Leone, and Omerta princess Reina Romero’s story.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Amon and Reina) covering approximately twelve years BITTER PRINCE follows the building relationship between heir to the Yakuza throne Amon Leone, and Omerta princess Reina Romero. Years earlier Reina met Amon during one of their fathers’ questionable meetings but throughout the next twelve years our couple would come in and out of one another’s lives. Reina fell in love with Amon Leone, true heir to the Yakuza empire, but the Leones and Romeros were enemies at best. With a long and colorful history between the two families, Reina and Amon were warned away from one another but the pull was too strong for our story line couple. With the approach of Reina’s eighteenth birthday, Amon was about to claim the woman he loved but secrets reveal a dark and dangerous past, a past that will push Reina out of his life. What ensues is the slow building romance and relationship between Amon and Reina, and the fall-out as sins of the father are about to destroy our story line couple.

The world building is detailed and complex. The reader is pulled into two families, fractured by betrayal and abuse, power and control, secrets and lies. Amon’s heritage is mixed and therefore he will never ascend to the throne, and our heroine is about to be used as payment for a debt.

The relationship between Amon and Reina covers approximately twelve years as Reina knew Amon to be the man she would love. Six years difference in age meant Amon would keep his distance but whenever there was a problem, Amon was the first to protect the woman with whom he would fall in love. Professing their love was easy but secrets from the past were about to destroy them both. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate and intense.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and questionable secondary and supporting characters. We are introduced to Reina’s parents, grandmother as well as her sister Phoenix; Amon’s parents, his brother Dante; Reina’s friends Isla, Raven and Athena. The family dynamics are questionable on both sides, and it is the dysfunctionality of the family that is about to destroy our story line couple. The requisite evil has many faces.

BITTER PRINCE is a story of betrayal, secrets, lies, power and control. The premise is edgy, intricate and multi-layered; the slow building romance is seductive; the characters are determined, desperate and broken. BITTER PRINCE ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.

REVIEW:STEALTH is the first instalment in Senna Kincaid’s contemporary, adult LOCKED SECURITY romantic suspense series focusing on the men who work for LOCKED SECURITY. This is former US soldier and Locked Security owner Elijah ‘Gunner’ Anderson, and web designer Freya Olysses’ story line.

NOTE: STEALTH was originally published under the pen name Sarah Peis.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Freya and Gunner) STEALTH follows the building but contemptuous relationship between former US soldier and Locked Security owner Elijah ‘Gunner’ Anderson, and web designer Freya Olysses. Five years earlier Gunner Anderson broke Freya Olysses’ heart but in the ensuing time Freya never forgot about our story line hero. Two years ago, Freya, tired of her father’s illegal activities and connections to the crime world, walked away without looking back but our heroine had no idea that her father struggled to let her go, having hired Gunner Anderson to keep tabs on his only daughter. Fast forward to present day wherein someone is targeting the Olysses family and business, and Gunner has been ordered to protect Freya at all cost but all does not go according to plan when their every move is mirrored, threatening our story line couple in the process. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship between Freya and Gunner, and the fall-out as the father’s sins have targeted our story line heroine.

The world building introduces some of the men who work for Gunner Anderson including Gunner’s right hand man Carter, and Blake, as well as Freya’s over protective brothers Liam and Gabriel, their father Constantine; Freya’s best friend Quinn, and the head of the Irish mob Cian.

The relationship between Gunner and Freya is one of second chances, of a sort. Gunner broke Freya’s heart five years earlier, and Freya struggles to accept Gunner as her personal protection, continually making his life difficult in the face of threats against our story line heroine. Often TSTL (too stupid to live) Freya is constantly looking for a way to escape, placing herself in the direct line of fire. Gunner battles between head and heart knowing his life is dangerous, and a relationship with Freya may threaten them both but Gunner’s need to protect quickly grows into something more. The $ex scenes are passionate but mostly implied.

STEALTH is a story of power and control, secrets and lies, independence and freedom, betrayal and vengeance, family and friendships, acceptance and love. The action packed premise is intriguing and dramatic yet familiar to many other romantic suspense series; the characters are energetic and desperate; the romance is fated and seductive.

I never expected to see her again.
The connection we shared through her brother was severed when he died in combat.
Their parents were adamant that I never reach out to them again.
I forgot about the pact I made, my promise to make her mine if I wasn’t married by thirty.
The only answer I had for her when she showed up with that handwritten note was no.
Only Devyn Malloy isn’t the type to take no for an answer.
Cerberus welcomed her with open arms, but as that became enough for her, I realized it might not be enough for me…

REVIEW:LEGACY is the twenty-eighth instalment in Marie James’ contemporary, adult CERBERUS erotic, MC romance series focusing on the Cerberus MC whose brotherhood is made up of former US Marines. This is thirty year old, Cerberus member and former US Marine Emmett ‘Legacy’ Wilson, and eighteen year old, fashion designer Devyn Malloy’s story line. LEGACY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information form the previous instalments is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Devyn and Legacy) LEGACY follows the best friend’s younger sister’s relationship between thirty year old, Cerberus member and former US Marine Emmett ‘Legacy’ Wilson, and eighteen year old Devyn Malloy. At eighteen years of age, Emmett Wilson and his best friend Vaughn Malloy joined the US Marines but only one would return leaving Emmett without his best friend or the family he had called his own. Fast forward to present day, having served twelve years in the Marines, Emmett finds himself with the Cerberus MC, facing down a past who wants Legacy to claim her as his own. A pact made between Devyn and Emmett promised marriage but Emmett never expected to go through with the ruse. Devyn is homeless; has walked away from her family and friends, and is hoping for a new start with Emmett and the Cerberus MC. What ensues is the building relationship between Devyn and Legacy, and the potential fall-out as the Cerberus MC is targeted by an enemy from the past.

The world building continues to focus on the friendships and relationships between the members of the Cerberus MC. As each member comes into his own, finds loves and begins the next generation, there are always new members hoping for a new start, with secrets of their own.

The relationship between Devyn and Legacy begins acrimoniously as Legacy never expected to follow through with a pledge he made twelve years earlier. Devyn was only six years old when she new Emmett Wilson was the man she wanted to marry but life and the death of her brother meant something different to everyone involved. The $ex scenes are erotic and provocative.

Once again, there is another large ensemble cast of colorful and familiar secondary and supporting characters including most of the member of the Cerberus MC. We are introduced to Devyn’s parents, as well as three new prospects Hemlock, Oracle and Newton.

LEGACY is a story of family and friendships, death and destruction, loss and love, acceptance and understanding. The fast paced, character driven premise is edgy and dramatic; the romance is seductive and passionate; the characters are struggling but moving on from the past.

Description:
He ticks every one of her “never again” boxes…

Jo Weaver loves her job as a boat mechanic for her family’s marina in River’s Edge, Indiana. But when she’s pulled away from her high school reunion with her sisters to fix a stranded yacht, she can’t restrain her irritation. Jo doesn’t like wealthy men who think they can have whatever they want, and she has no intention of falling for rich and charming again.

Born into the international Briggs Hotels empire, Alex Briggs has never felt comfortable with his life of privilege. Abandoning his family’s business to pursue medical research, he’s far more at home in his lab. When the yacht he restored himself breaks down on the way to an important conference, Alex begrudgingly goes in search of a boat mechanic and falls, literally, into Jo Weaver’s arms. The fireworks he feels are impossible to ignore.

Jo does her best to keep Alex in the business zone, but he keeps slipping into something more. Can she trust her fragile heart, especially when Alex and his life-altering research are so far from River’s Edge?

Review:

Meet Me in River’s Edge by Nan Reinhardt is the 2nd book in her The Weaver Sisters series. Meet Me in River’s Edge, revolves around the second Weaver sister, Jo (they are triplets). River’s Edge is a small town that has a wonderful community. It was great to see the Weaver sisters again, as they are such a wonderful close-knit family.   Jo Weaver, our heroine, loves working at her family’s marina as a boat mechanic.

All three sisters are attending their high school reunion, when a young man accidently bumps into Jo, which turns out that the man’s yacht is stranded, and he was told to look for the Weaver sisters.  Jo agrees to leave the reunion (changing her dressy outfit to her overalls) to help him, though she looks at him like a wealthy “river rat”, men who cruise on fancy boats; she had a bad past experience on one of those men.

Alex Briggs, our hero, comes from a wealthy family, and owns the fancy yacht. Alex has always stayed away from the family business, not comfortable with his privileged life; pursuing medical research (he is a diabetic) and his lab with a friend to develop equipment for diabetics. Alex finds himself totally attracted to Jo, though she early on is antagonistic with him, but in a short time, she will begin to see Alex in another light. Despite her keeping her heart safe, especially from someone who hurt her in  the past, Jo is finding herself falling for Alex, as he already has fallen for her.

The repair of the boat will take longer to fix, as Jo will need to get her father to work on it.  Alex and his mentor Rich, make arrangements for the guests to move forward to the next stop, and they both stay in River’s Edge. Jo and Alex each begin to tell some of their past events that hurt them; Alex lost his twin sister, which still haunts him, despite not being his fault; Jo became pregnant when she was young, with the man having treated her badly, and she eventually had a miscarriage.

They both become very close, and when he needs to continue his trip to New Orleans, giving a speech on his new developments; she knows he will return.  But while on the phone with Jo, in New Orleans, he passes out due to an insulin pump malfunction, and is taken to the hospital.  Jo flies to be with him, but Alex decides to send her away, as he feels she deserves better than always worrying about his condition.

Meet Me in River’s Edge was a wonderful, fun, sweet romance and heartwarming story. Nan Reinhardt gives us a wonderful couple, as well great secondary characters that were so likable, with a terrific atmosphere in this small town.

Meet Me in River’s Edge was so very well written by Nan Reinhardt, which is no surprise, as I loved her last book, as well as her previous series.  If you enjoy a sweet romance, wonderful couple, great secondary characters, and pure fun, I suggest you read this book. I look forward to the next book in this series.
