Okay, so I might’ve had his mailbox in my hands the first time we met. And it might’ve been a little crushed after removing it from under my tire. And I might’ve needed his help breaking into the place I was staying in after the key broke off in the lock. But still…he didn’t have to be so grumpy.

As time went on though, I started to notice things about Fox other than his glares. Like how he watched me when he thought I wasn’t looking, or how fire ignited in his eyes whenever we bickered. Though I was in Laurel Lake to escape my problems, not create new ones. And getting involved with a man like Fox screamed trouble, even if he was gorgeous and unlike any man I’d ever met.

But alas, problem seemed to be my middle name this year. So why not have some fun while I was here for the summer? It seemed like a good plan. At least until it was time to go home…

They say what happens at the lake, stays at the lake. But it’s not so easy to walk away when what stays behind…is your heart.

The world building focuses on the heart breaking past of our story line couple. Individually, each has a story that has shaped their current direction in life but Fox’s past continues to control his present, and with it, he is unable to let go. Having both loves and lost, Josie is hoping for a new start, while Fox continues to live in the past.

The relationship between Fox and Josie begins acrimoniously as Josie’s slightly flighty attitude sets Fox’s teeth on edge.Josie has become the town’s newest daughter, and the gossip chain refuses to let anything die, and Fox and Josie’s life becomes fodder for the town. As Fox and Josie’s relationship turns into something more, the ghosts continue to haunt our hero, pushing the woman he loves out of his life. The $ex scenes are intimate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, quirky and charismatic secondary and supporting characters, as well as the small town busybodies, and grapevines that pull everyone into everyone else’s business.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE LAKE is a story of loss and grief, guilt and shame, family and friendships, relationships and love. The premise is emotional yet captivating; the romance is seductive; the characters are broken, determined and healing.

The relationship between Jax and Coralie is one of rebuilding friendships, and second chances. Jax’s bear has always known Coralie was their mate, and with Coralie’s return, they are given a chance at their own happily ever after but someone is threatening our story line heroine, and the Blackstone Clan must prepare to protect one of their own. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful supernatural and powerful secondary and supporting characters including bear, wolf and feline shifters, vampires, witches, and harpies. We are introduced to Coralie’s best friend and bear shifter Jessie, witch Fiona, Calissa, and True Hearts Dating Agency owner Mrs. Wilde; Jax’s friends and fellow shifters: chief of the Blackstone Clan Mason Blackstone, Theo, Drew, Hopper, and Wolf elder Sheriff Swiftwood; as well as Jax’s ex, harpie Bex, and Coralie’s ex, bear shifter Hunter.

NERD MEETS CURVY is a fast paced, entertaining story line of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, obsession and violence, acceptance and love. The premise is magical and intriguing but I did have to question why Jax and the others were oblivious to the fight going down; the romance is insta-love, seductive and impassioned; the characters are enchanting, powerful and charismatic.

REVIEW:MIDNIGHT RUIN is the sixth instalment in Katee Robert’s contemporary, adult DARK OLYMPUS dark, erotic romance series-a modern day retelling about the gods and goddesses of Olympus. This is Eurydice Dimitriou, Charon Ariti, and Orpheus Makos’ polyamorous story line. MDNIGHT RUIN should not be read as a stand alone as there is an ongoing premise throughout the series.

The world building continues to focus on the fight for power and control of Olympus, and the betrayal and vengeance against their own. As each new member of the ruling Thirteen takes over in the wake of another’s death or murder, someone else is waiting in the wings, to take manipulate and dominate into position.

The relationship between Eurydice, Charon and Orpheus begins acrimoniously. Orpheus has never stopped loving the woman he betrayed, and Charon is determined to make Orpheus beg (like a dog) for forgiveness, anyway he demands, and in this I was not a fan of the humiliation inflicted upon Orpheus Makos. Charon struggles with Eurydice’s need for the man who broke her heart but Orpheus is willing to submit for a future with both. The $ex scenes are intimate, provocative and intense.

There is a large ensemble cast of powerful, questionable, and charismatic secondary and supporting characters including Hades and Persephone, Zeus, Perseus, Poseidon, Demeter, Callisto aka Hera, Psyche, and more. The requisite evil has many faces.

MIDNIGHT RUIN is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, murder and mayhem, family and friendships, forgiveness and love. The premise is dramatic and dark; the romance is seductive and erotic; the character are desperate and determined. MIDNIGHT RUIN ends on a bit of a cliff hanger-you have been warned.

Maria’s parents had set a plan into motion to take control but our heroine, fearing the repercussions, Maria ran to The Boss, and in doing so, found herself labelled a rat, even though she saved the lives of the man in charge. Sold to the highest bidder as payment for her parent’s betrayal, Maria found herself married to cap Draven Esposito, a man whose reputation as a killer precedes his introduction to our story line heroine. Forced to marry or die upon refusal, Marie would fall for the man capable of destroying her heart. What ensues is the building relationship between our story line couple, and the potential fall-out as Draven continues to struggle to trust the woman with whom he is falling in love.

The relationship between Draven and Maria begins acrimoniously as Draven is the only man to consider taking control /ownership of our story line heroine. Maria saved many lives but her actions left her without family, friends, and threats to her life. Draven’s attraction to Maria started several months earlier but he would never reveal his attraction to a woman labelled a Mafia rat. Maria has learned to become invisible in a room full of people, having spent most of her life emotionally distant from family and friends. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative.

The secondary and supporting characters are limited. We are introduced to the man known as ‘The Boss’, and Draven’s man Calvin.

DANCE WITH THE DEVIL is a heart breaking and emotional story line. The premise is fast paced, captivating and interesting; the romance is passionate; the characters are broken, desperate and charismatic.

LOST TIMES is a story of power and control, family and relationships, forgiveness and love. The fast paced premise is entertaining and intriguing; the romance is seductive; the characters are energetic and sassy.

We are introduced to Dennis’ parents Den and Susie; Kimberly’s sister Alya; and veterinarian Beatrice.

FROM PAST TO PRESENT is a quick read; a fast paced story of betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, second chances and love. The premise is intriguing and engaging but the conflict resolution is too quick, and mostly behind the scenes; the romance is seductive; the characters are energetic.

This is twenty -one year old Kara, and gluttony demon Zorion’s story line. ZORION can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Zorion and Kara) ZORION follows the quick building relationship between our story line couple. Zorion is a demon of gluttony; Lucifer’s favorite son, and he is a collector of earthly possessions but his vacation time finds himself drawn to Kara, a young woman who is struggling in her personal and professional life, and the woman with whom Zorion will fall in love. Zorion is also looking for his mate, and Kara is the woman that calls to heart. What ensues is the quick building relationship between Zorion and Kara, and the potential fall-out as a demon-hunter as tracked down our story line hero.

The relationship between Kara and Zorion is one of insta-lust. Zorion knows immediately that Kara is his mate but taking a human mate means leaving everything and everyone else behind. With a demon hunter on his proverbial tail, Zorion is summoned, leaving his mate in a precarious position. The $ex scenes are provocative and intense.

There are limited secondary and supporting characters. We are introduced to Kara’s grandfather, as well as a cameo by a demon hunter, and a local shop owner.

ZORION is a fast paced, quick erotic story line of lust and love, power and control, supernatural and acceptance. The premise is entertaining; the romance is seductive; the characters are charismatic but not very well fleshed out.

REVIEW:Sun In My Heart is a contemporary romance with a Twist by Tricia T. LaRochelle.
Our story begins with Sophie Quinn, a young woman in thr throes of a marriage headed for divorce. Her husband Chad had been abusive to her and she has begun putting her life back together by buying herself a little cottage. Loving her new life far away from her estranged husband was exactly what she needed.

She enjoys her little cabin, and watching Entertainment News. Especially the stories that involve pop singer Julian Sommers. Two years ago Julian disappeared after a tragedy involving a fan. And he has never been the same since.

One day out on a walk Soohie meets Brian, a reclusive handyman working in her neighborhood. Brian seems to come with his own set of issues but Sophie finds him quite refreshing. As time goes on and they spend more time together they both fall quite quickly for each other. What a whirlwind of emotions Sophie encounters. She has never been seen or treated like she is now by Brian, and she enjoys every moment with him. That is until her ex husband shows back up and in a moment of chaos Brian lets his secret come out! And instead of staying and fighting for Sophie he leaves. Leaving her heartbroken and betrayed. Will their love allow them to find each other again? Will Brian ever return to her?

What an amazing story with wonderful twists and turns. Sophie’s life hasn’t been easy, but she is finally fighting for herself and what she wants. I absolutely love how everything plays out for Sophie in the end.

Brian is everything you want for Sophie, having issues of his own added dimension and depth to the story that I wasn’t expecting.

A wonderful twisting romance where the characters get the love they are so deserving of. Highly recommend.

REVIEW:TOXIC LOVE is the first instalment in Jagger Cole’s contemporary, adult VENOMOUS GODS dark, erotic, Mafia romance series-a part of the Dark Hearts World. This is thirty-four year old Dante Sartorre, and twenty-four year old Tempest Black’s story line.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Dante and Tempest) with memories from the past, TOXIC LOVE follows the marriage of convenience between our story line couple. In an effort to save Club Venom, Dante Sartorre has agreed to marry Charles Black’s eighteen year old daughter but the extended family wants nothing to do with the arranged marriage. There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, powerful and energetic secondary and supporting characters. We are introduced to Dante’s friend Carmine Barone, his brother Nico, and their father Vito: Tempest’s brother Gabriel and Alistair; as well as their grandfather Charles, and his daughter Maeve; a prolific number of Mafia, and Bratva members, their families, and security. The requisite evil has many faces.

TOXIC LOVE is a story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, secrets and lies, acceptance and forgiveness, family and love. The premise is gritty and dark; the romance is provocative and seductive; the characters are desperate and dynamic.

A reader first and foremost, Jagger Cole cut his romance writing teeth penning various fan-fiction stories years ago. After deciding to hang up his writing boots, Jagger worked in advertising pretending to be Don Draper. It worked enough to convince a woman way out of his league to marry him, though, which is a total win.

Now, Dad to two little princesses and King to a Queen, Jagger is thrilled to be back at the keyboard.
