ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date January 4, 2024

I thought I knew where I belonged. That I had found my happily ever after. Looking back, I was really just blissfully unaware of how unhealthy my family was.

Now I’m wandering the world, trying to find my place. Trying to heal my broken heart from a fate that no one could have predicted. The crushing blow was served to me by those who were supposed to love and support me for the rest of my life. That was the promise.

In the place I least expect it, I find solace. Companionship. And a fear so chilling, I’m frozen in place as everything is once again ripped from my hands.

My name is Iskander. All I want is to save the people who have claimed my fractured heart before it breaks for a second and final time.

•••••

REVIEW: Can’t think of a better way than starting my new year with one of my favourite author’s.

This book can be read on its own, but I’d recommend read at least the previous book. But as this this a great series why not start from the beginning…..

After meeting and falling for someone, for his family to reject him (and showing their true colours) Iskander is now on a journey to find not only himself, but answers to questions, and to maybe find a family that want him no matter…

This series is continually evolving and I love it. Yes it’s a #whychoose story, but it doesn’t revolve around just one person finding their pack, it’s got relationships within the family. It’s also heavy on MM (which I like) which I think this author has found her niche ?

Whilst travelling Iskander find families that are happy, and are happy to chat to Iskander, which compounds his belief that he did the right thing in leaving his family. And when he thinks he’s going to grow old alone, he meets the Kallan family. They show him the real meaning of family. Can he really trust his feelings? And what will he do when his new family disappears?

I just love this series, just when you think we can’t go any further, the author proves us wrong. The secret society OKRA are proving to be a vile and underhanded society, the things they’ve done to bring down the monsters (the only true monsters are the society itself!) The story tells of not settling for second best, to hold out for the happiness your deserved. And family doesn’t always mean blood.

It’s great that the houses in previous books are here to help. But can Iskander find his new family before the society claim another family?

It’s a highly recommended read from me. And if you haven’t read the previous books in the series, what are you waiting for?

Crea lives in upstate New York with her dog and husband. She has been writing since grade school, when her second grade teacher had her class keep writing journals. She has a habit of creating secondary, and often time tertiary, characters that take over her stories. All of her RH relationships end up being heavily polyamorous – meaning it’s not just all the men for one woman. There’s also some M/M action going on. When she can’t fall asleep at night, she thinks up new scenes for her characters to act out. This, of course, is how most of her meant-to-be-thrown-away characters tend to end up front and center – and utterly swoon-worthy! Don’t ask her how many book boyfriends she has…

When not writing, Crea is an avid reader. Her TBR pile is several hundred books high (don’t even look at her kindle wish list or the unread books on her tablet). Sometimes, she enjoys crafting; sometimes, exploring nature; sometimes, traveling. Mostly, she enjoys putting her characters on paper and breathing life into them. Oh, and sleeping. Crea loves to sleep!

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date January 5, 2024

Call me cocky, but it’s a fact women fall at my feet. So why does this one want to kick me in the junk?
Might be my work for her uncle’s legal defense.
Or the dubious ways I earned my millions.
Or the scandal that cost my career. Or hell.
Maybe it’s just that I’m not a nice guy.
A fact I’m regretting once Lucy storms in and gets me rethinking my rule on dating single moms.
She’s funny and smart and so sexy it shouldn’t be legal.
Take it from a disbarred lawyer.
One desperate to dodge this desire sparking like frayed wires in a champagne flute of kerosene.
A few stolen kisses and I’m suddenly starved for a simple life on this sweet lake, but that’s absurd.
Guys like me don’t belong in small towns. Towns this charming, this good, this…pure.
It should be easy staying chaste with Lucy, since our encounters include a precocious pre-teen, one misguided bat, and a goat who won’t take no for an answer.
But nothing’s easy with a woman born to boss five grumpy brothers.
Big as they are, those guys don’t scare me.
Not like my feelings for Luce and her daughter. Those have me quaking in my Gucci loafers.
So does this big-ass secret bearing down like a toxic tsunami.

REVIEW:CHARM ME is the second instalment in Tawna Fenske’s contemporary, adult CHERRY BLOSSOM LAKE erotic, romance series focusing on the Spencer-King siblings. This is thirty-two year old, former attorney turned private investigator Peter Marcus, and thirty year old single mother/bank fraud investigator Lucy Spencer-King’s story line. CHARM ME can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Peter and Lucy) CHARM ME follows in the wake of the ongoing investigation into a possible case of arson, and a family destroyed by greed and avarice. Peter Marcus, disbarred attorney turn investigator has been hired to disprove a case of arson, and the ensuing fraud against the Spencer -King family but Peter never expected to fall for Lucy Spencer-King, a single mother who is experiencing some issues of her own. As Peter digs deeper into the possibilities, he will find himself struggling between head and heart, whether to help Lucy and her family, or walk away knowing the information he has, can change the future for everyone involved. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Peter and Lucy, and the potential fall-out misunderstanding and hurt feelings threaten our story line couple.

The world building continues to focus on the investigation into the possible arson, and defrauding the Spencer-King family, and Peter’s own issues of swooping in and saving the people he loves.

The relationship between Peter and Lucy begins acrimoniously as Lucy is suspicious of Peter’s intent. Lucy is a single mother whose ex is all but absent from their daughter’s life, and Peter finds himself falling for a woman, and willing to go above and beyond to make things right. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are reintroduced to Lucy’s siblings: Jake and Cassidy (Try Me 1), Kaleb, Lucy’s twin Mason, Parker, Cassidy’s sister Zoe Brooks, as well as Lucy’s daughter Harper, her ex Wyatt, Lucy’s cousin Hazel, and Peter’s sister Samantha Marcus.

CHARM ME is a story of family, relationships, friendships and love. The premise is endearing and captivating; the romance is seductive and passionate; the characters are charismatic and determined.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Even if the world did end, five men is far too many to handle. Isn’t it?

Since the Final War, I’ve been doing just fine. I have a lovely cave, a darling vegetable patch, forest views . . . and if loneliness sometimes squeezes my aching heart, well, my books have always kept me company.
That is, until a pack of hunters chase me from my home and right into the arms of several rather large, rather brutish ex-Army Rangers. And those brutes have the nerve to make me the rudest offer I’ve ever heard.

Their protection—for my body.
The whole thing is absurd. Scandalous. Perverted, even. I mean, just the thought of doing that with five men, well, it’s . . . it’s . . .
I take the deal.

Okay, so it’s possible I find them indecently tempting. But these men also have secrets, and pasts so fraught with emotion, I’m not sure I can untangle them all. Or whether they’ll let me.
No, my brutes have made it excruciatingly clear where they think I belong—beneath them, between them, bent over backwards for them . . . but certainly not beside them.
And I don’t think that’s going to work for me.

••••••

REVIEW: You are not ready! Even if you think you’re ready, you’re not, Ensnared is the first of its kind for me. RQ delivers a spicy, emotional, intriguing, apocalyptic reverse harem romance that readers are sure to love.

Eden, Beau, Dom, Lucky, Jasper and Jaykob are thrown together in a situation that is so far from normal it could only happen in a book, however, it was a really good read. What do you get when you mix a prim and proper librarian with new found brattiness, a group of dominant over the top alphas, and the end of the world as we know it? Absolute chaos.

Eden is a mix of emotions and logistics, she fights so hard against the way she was “trained” to be, when the guys start getting to a point of no return, she lets her stubbornness shine and really makes it a point to stand against them.

As for the fellas; each has their own dynamic and each has a past they are still dealing with. Yes there is lots of sexy moments, yes there is lots kink, but the story of these six people trying to find their way in a new time is fabulous to read.

The cliffhanger KILLED me!!! I am still recovering, but you bet your tushy I can’t wait for the next book!!

REVIEW: The Book Goddess has blessed us and the second book is finally here!!!! Entangled is book two in The Brutes of Bristlebrook series. This is a post-apocalyptic, dramatic, spicy romance filled with dramatic trauma, and so, so much spice, Reverse harem, angsty, and the worst cliffhangers of all time. You MUST read book one, this is not a standalone, if you go into this without the first book you are gonna be so lost lol. Also, check your trigger-warnings, this deals with a lot and may set some off.

This book should really be named tension because that is what you will feel the most.To say the cliffhanger from the last book shattered me is an understatement, I was absolutely heaving waiting to get this next installment. Entangled picks up where the last book left us, the guys are at a loss and poor Eden is devastated.

No spoilers of course, but be ready because this one is coming for your emotions. I loved how much more of a backstory we get out of all the guys, we really start to learn why they are the way they are and why they have to do what they do. Each of the main characters in this book are growing and changing and it makes them better and better to read, so many of the issues are so relatable even in a story that is placed in this type of landscape. I really give it to the author for her amazing storytelling ability. Yes, this book is spicy, the pages are on fire in sections, but the characters are what make me come back each time.

I can’t wait to see what Eden has in store of us next! The cliffhanger in this book is almost as bad as the last and had me in pieces when I finished, book three can’t get here fast enough.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date January 4, 2024

I told myself I’d never fall in love.

It just wasn’t the trajectory my life was going to take.

Maybe I should’ve read the fine print on that vow because not falling in love doesn’t mean no marriage.

I woke up with a gold band on my left hand and very few memories of how it got there.

Beth Moore needed an escape, and I needed one more night like we shared.

When she asked if she could come back to New Mexico with me, I opened my mouth to tell her that wouldn’t be a great idea but YES came out instead.

To save her the embarrassment of what we did, I played along.

Besides, no one falls in love after they get married.

That’s supposed to come first, and I told myself I’d never fall in love…

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date January 2, 2024

Enigmatic. With a wildly gifted mind, and an untamed head of hair to match, petite powerhouse Millicent Frost is brilliant when it comes to gadgets and electronics—less so with people. After an attempt to bust a bank scam goes awry, Millie is in hot water with Homeland Security and targeted by lethal enemies. In the midst of the trouble, she heads home to help out with the family hunting and fishing business. But when their rival competitor and Millie’s ex is murdered, she’s the number one suspect . . .

Irresistible. Former Marine turned lawyer Scott Terentson devotes himself to getting his clients out of tricky binds. A loner, the last thing he wants is to belong to any team, yet the Deep Ops group considers him one of their own—and he pays the price by getting shot at by their enemies. Now Millie is seeking his help—just as he’s dealing with a brutal fail regarding a recent trial. Both are a headache, yet he’s drawn to Millie in spite of himself. They’re opposites, but maybe the old adage is true . . .

Electric. Working together, Millie and Scott soon have more on their hands than they bargained for as the danger escalates—along with the sizzling heat between them. And when a disappearance is thrown into the mix, all bets are off . . .

Not even the sanctity of the Baton Rouge Bachelors can outrun the storm that’s coming.

•••••••••

REVIEW: FROM THE ASHES is the second and final instalment in KE Osborn’s contemporary, adult BATON ROUGE BACHELORS dark, erotic, romance duet. This is the continuing story of Baton Rouge Bachelors second in command, Cain Barrington, and twenty-six year old author, Makaylie Rayne’s story line. FROM THE ASHES and the Baton Rouge Bachelors is a spin off from the author’s NOLA Defiance MC series-several characters cross over for continuity. FROM THE ASHES should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events of book one UP IN FLAMES.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Makaylie and Cain) FROM THE ASHES picks up immediately after the events of book one in which, desperate to protect the woman he loves, Cain pushes Makaylie out of his life but Makaylie refuses to walk away, and in doing so, places herself in the direct line of fire. As the second in command of the Louisiana crime syndicate The Baton Rouge Bachelors, Cain is quickly losing control of his men, and the people under his command including the woman he loves. Makaylie refuses to ‘obey’ our story line hero, and finds herself the target of some powerful men. Often dismissed and rebuffed by the man that she loves, Makaylie walks away but struggle in the wake of the knowledge that all is not as it appears to be. What ensues is the building relationship between Makaylie and Cain, and the fall-out as death and destruction follow in their wake.

The world building continues to focus on the strained relationship between our story line couple, and the secret life of Cain Barrington. Hoping his criminal connections and lifestyle would never touch the woman he loved, Cain would quickly discover betrayal comes at a cost, the lives of the people he loves. The $ex scenes are intimate and aggressive.

The colorful, energetic and often questionable secondary and supporting characters include Makaylie’s best friend Joey, several members of the Baton Rouge Bachelors crime syndicate, as well as the NOLA Defiance MC, and Cain’s right hand man Rodberg. The requisite evil has many faces, yet not everyone will survive.

FROM THE ASHES is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, power and control, loss and grief, forgiveness and love. The premise is dark, dramatic and intense; the romance struggles in the face perceived betrayal; the characters are driven, purposeful and dynamic.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date December 2, 2023

An irreverent, sexy, and hysterical romp through the tarot… know that quote about most people living quiet lives of desperation? Well, that pretty much describes me to a T.I’m middle-aged, divorced, built like a tree stump, with nothing but a failing romance-writing career to call my own. Yep, no kids, no social life and no pets—not even a chinchilla to greet when I walk through the door of my crappy apartment. The only thing I do have? Spare Tire Sandy who lives around my waist. Oh, and a nicotine habit I’m desperately trying to kick. When my eccentric Aunt Artemis ups and dies, leaving me her ‘castle’ in Vermont, I start thinking maybe my luck is taking a turn for the better.Yeah, no.

The property, in the tiny town of Maplewood, is literally a castle but not like something you’d see in Scotland. This is more like Medieval England had a battle with The Tarot and neither won.Which means it’s going to be a bitch and a half to sell.To make matters worse? There’s a tenant in ‘Tarot Castle’ and not like the squatter sort—more like the talking goat sort. Right—Rocco sounds like a New York mobster which is grating enough, but throw in the fact that I’m now responsible for him and I’m not a happy camper. And let’s not even discuss the shrunken head, Yolanda, who literally WILL NOT STOP TALKING!The only person who can help me make sense of my new inheritance is Luke Montgomery, owner of the coffee/ bookstore in town. Luke is friendly, really hot in a J. Crew sort of way, and also annoyingly hush-hush about the legacy I’ve apparently been born some BS about being a Daughter of the Moon. And then there’s Magnus Stormrider, my self-proclaimed guardian, who looks like the love-child of Conan the Barbarian and Fabio. The best way to describe Magnus? If the ground opened up and swallowed him whole, I wouldn’t mind—not for one second.

According to my aunt’s never-ending posthumous letters that keep appearing from literally nowhere, I’m supposedly on the journey of The Fool, the first card of the Major Arcana of the tarot. And that’s pretty damned fitting because if there’s one thing I’m sure of—it’s that I was the biggest fool to have ever agreed to come out here in the first place…

REVIEW: THE FOOL is the first instalment in HP Mallory’s contemporary adult DAUGHTER OF THE MOON paranormal/fantasy series focusing on forty-five year old, divorcee and author Catherine ‘Kate’ Murray.

Told from first person perspective (Kate) THE FOOL follows in the wake of the death of Kate’s estranged aunt Artemis. Kate is the sole heir to her aunt Artemis’ estate, a castle imbued with magic and mayhem. Kate is unsure as to her future but a series of mysterious letters and Tarot cards begin to reveal her path going forward. Upon her arrival, Kate struggles to understand or believe any of it is real, including the people and creatures that will show her the way. From her new guardian Magnus, a warrior from another realm, to book store owner and Kate’s guide Luke Montgomery, to Rocco the talking goat, and a shrunken head named Yolanda, Kate is about to discover that everything she thought she knew was about to change. Along with the castle and its’ odd assortment of residents, Kate must chose to accept or deny the mantle of the next Daughter of the Moon, a position that comes with immense powers.

The world building slowly reveals and answer some of the questions that concern Kate Murray the most. Kate comes from a long line of magical beings, the Daughters of the Moon, and with it comes the responsibility of protecting the world from outside forces. As Kate struggles to find her long lost writing muse, she will begin incorporate her life into the fiction that is more reality than fantasy.

THE FOOL is another familiar story line and series by HP Mallory. Like many of her previous books, the heroine is oblivious to, or unaware of her powers until a catastrophic event pulls the heroine into the world of the supernatural. There is more than one potential male suitor, and the magical secondary and supporting characters often direct the heroine to where she needs to go. THE FOOL is a story of magic and fantasy, secrets and power. The premise is entertaining and intriguing with plenty of giggle worthy moments; the characters are magical and powerful. THE FOOL ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.
