REVIEW:Book one in the Voodoo City Queens MC; Devil’s Queen is the first of what I hope to be an epic motorcycle romance series. DQ is also a second chance romance, which is one of my favorites, so starting this was really exciting for me. The first thing that I can say about this book is that it is INTENSE, but so so good!

Remington has led a hard life ever since she and her mother were discarded by her father’s MC Club, the Zulu’s. Her entire life she was the princess, the apple of her fathers eye, and the one the club would do anything to protect. But that doesn’t mean anything anymore. Not when her father is killed and the club turns on them. All she knows now from them is betrayal and hatred.

Years later, her fathers final wish is made known and becomes hers, and she has to fight tooth and nail to keep it that way. The Voodoo City Queens is her life now, a club that she created to help those who need it, and for that she is willing to do anything for. When Rex reenters Rem’s life, she is more than off kilter, she is thrown off. She never thought she would see him again, and to be honest she was ok with that. These two are like gasoline and fire, mix at your own risk.

VCQ is amazing, I loved seeing an all female MC, I think that may actually be a first for me as a reader. Rem is independent and loyal, ready to take on anything and anyone that is a threat to her club and the work they do. When Rex enters the story, I was really unsure how I felt about it. I wanted to hate him, but it was so hard! You can tell the type of person he is and the weight he puts into making things right with Rem, but the past is hard to forget.

Ms. Author did a wonderful job kicking off this series; the family relationships in the MC’s remind me a lot of another series that I love. I can’t wait to see what we get next!

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date February 28, 2024

What do you do when your sister’s getting married and your ex is the best man?

Being dumped sucks. Being dumped after four years and getting kicked out of the house? That sucks more.

Sadly, I can’t avoid him forever. Not when he’s the best man in my sister’s wedding. But like hell am I facing him alone.
So how can a painfully single Omega get out of this mess? Not a clue, but I’ll tell you what not to do. Ready?

Don’t hire a pack of male escorts to take you to the wedding. If you do, you can’t sleep with them. No matter how incredible they smell or how well they treat you.

Definitely don’t let them take care of you, and don’t let them show you pleasure you’ve never had before.

And you absolutely cannot, under any circumstances, fall in love with them. They’re not yours.

Because when everything is said and done, this is just pretend… right?

REVIEW:Yay a new series by one of my favourite Omegaverse writers.

Endless is a tried and tested plot. You know how it’s going to end (fingers crossed) but with this author the ride is never smooth, it’s full of bumps and issues that will need sorting if they all want a HEA.

Isolde is a graphic designer or was! After being “thrown away” but her boyfriend of four years. Isolde is now drifting and doing bar work! But a family wedding is pulling her back home. Her best friend convinces her to “hire” a pack. It will create a barrier between her ex (who is best man!) and any unwanted attention coming home many cause. What Isolde doesn’t count on are the men that pick her up from the airport……

Rowan, Hawk, Vaughn, Cade and Joel are the St. James pack. Hired initially as a fake pack for Isolde. But that goes out of the window once they “smell” her! (I love the idea of knowing your mate by the smell of them) only it’s one sided as Omegas don’t scent match until they hit their heat. So the St. James pack have to suck it up and “pretend” to like their client when in fact they just want to take her back to their home and show her the nest

I liked how each MMC brought something different to the table. It also seemed to blend in and help Isolde with her self doubts. The one thing that did frustrate me a little was her indecisions and doubts! They put the brakes on her being completely in the moment, always worrying what her ex would think! But her ex had moved on rather quickly (hence why she needed the pack for this assignment)

It’s the start of a new series (three I think) so her two best friends will get a book and a pack each ?

It’s not quite a slow burn book, as Isolde decides on changing her mind about the no s€x clause in the contract they all sign. But she is convinced that it’s only for the three weeks she’s here.

Ex Beau is also on the scene, and that makes the packs job harder to show her that they want her for more than the three weeks…. I didn’t like Beau at all and was glad he got all he deserved by the end of the book.

So if you like the Omegaverse then give this book a go.

Now I just have to wait for the next book. Please be soon. ?

ROYAL RANSOM (RBMC: Nashville TN 10) by Morgan Jane Mitchell -review

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date February 27, 2024

Kingpin is back in book #10 The President of the Royal Bastards MC in Nashville expected his wedding to Eve to go off without a hitch. After all, they’re already officially man and wife. Thinking nothing could go wrong wasn’t his first mistake. However, the biker is usually prepared for most trouble that comes his way. Eve and her wildcard never expected this untimely wedding crasher.

••••••

REVIEW: ROYAL RANSOM is the tenth instalment in Morgan Janet Mitchell’s contemporary, adult RBMC: NASHVILLE: TN erotic, MC romance series, a part of the multi-authored RBMC series. This is the continuing story of Beau ‘Kingpin’ Strick, and his wife/ol’ lady Eve. ROYAL RANSOM can be read as a stand alone but for back story I recommend reading books 1, 3, 4 and 7, where Eve and Kingpin’s story begins and evolves.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Eve and Kingpin) ROYAL RANSOM focuses on the preparation for Eve and Kingpin’s official wedding. Having already claimed Eve as his ol’ lady, and married her in the process, Kingpin and Eve have finally settled upon an official wedding celebration but all does not go according to plan, when during her bachelorette party, Eve disappears without a trace, and the price for her return may be too high.

ROYAL RANSOM is the culmination of several story lines, several heart breaks and betrayals, vengeance and karma. The past refuses to let go: revenge for the death of a loved one, and our heroine is targeted for sins of the past. The premise is gritty and dramatic; the characters are numerous, familiar, determined and dangerous.

Enter a world of mystery, suspense, sin, and heart-wrenching emotion with Helen Hardt’s new series!

They’re drawn into a world of seductive sin…

Savannah Gallo sacrificed herself to save her lover and is now imprisoned inside an opulent mansion belonging to a rival crime family. Despite the confining walls, her spirit remains unbroken. She’s nothing if not resilient, and she’s determined to use every ounce of her strength and cunning to outwit her captor.

In prison, Falcon Bellamy mastered the art of survival, and he refuses to surrender the woman he loves without a fight. After enlisting his ex-Navy SEAL friend, he goes after Savannah with precision and determination.

But Savannah’s captor is also determined. She must face some harsh truths about her family—secrets and betrayals more complex than she ever imagined that put both her and Falcon’s lives in danger.

REVIEW:Seductive Sin is book three in the Bellamy Brothers saga by Helen Hardt. As always, I recommend reading the series in order, but I do think there is enough backstory that each book can be read as a standalone, but this is the end of the three books, so I would strongly suggest reading the first two.

Seductive Sin picks up where book two left off, Falcon is anxious to get Savannah back, but it won’t be easy. There is a lot that has happened in the previous two books that have led up to what is happening in the current book, and because of that HH gives nothing away. Falcon is giving his all to get Savannah back, giving it his all and putting his heart on the line for her.

There is still a great level of suspense in the plot of the story, and this author is known for her romantic suspense and killer cliff hangers. Thankfully however, the series concludes with a nice little boy and an after thought of smile. For fans of this author, I think you enjoy the series and how it ends, overall, a very good read and would recommend it to others

I flush the toilet and look in the mirror once more. My skin is pale, my hair is stringy, and the anxiety of the last several hours is imprinted deeply into my eyes.
I see myself as whoever is watching me sees me.
A pawn.
A weakling.
A mere thing.
I can’t escape. I made my choice.
I chose the wellbeing of Falcon over my own.
And as much as I hate what’s about to happen to me, I can’t bring myself to regret it.
I leave the bathroom, enter the bedroom—
Miles is there already, standing by the bed, naked, his hard cock jutting out and ready.
I swallow, forcing the food to remain in my stomach.
I lie on the bed, and he lifts my satin gown, hovers over me, his face menacing.
“Tonight you’re mine, Savannah Gallo. Welcome to hell.”

Hypnotized by Love by Sariah Wilson – a Review

Amazon / B&N / BAM / Bookbub

Description:
Hypnotist Savannah Sinclair is known for helping clients overcome their deep-rooted issues, from anxiety to addiction. But her nontraditional approach also attracts plenty of skeptics—including her high school nemesis and rival, Mason Beckett, who just so happens to be the boy who broke her heart.

Mason’s life hasn’t gone according to plan. His latest novel was a flop, and the only gig he can land is writing a scathing exposé of his hometown hypnotist, Savannah. But in order to write an authentic article, he has to be a willing participant. Hypnosis is the last thing he he’s shedding his negative nature and opening himself up to new experiences…and when a fire alarm interrupts their session, Mason walks out into the real world entranced and sporting a sunny disposition and a tendency to say yes.

Hypnotized Mason is fearless, revealing things he’s never told a soul, acting completely out of character, and leading Savannah on a frantic chase to keep him safe. He likes his new self. The problem is, so does Savannah. She can’t fall in love with a man who’s in a trance, but can she keep him still long enough to get him to snap out of it?

Review:

Hypnotized by Love by Sariah Wilson is fun enemies to lover’s story line.  We meet Savannah Sinclair, our heroine, who is a hypnotist, helping clients get past their issues, such as anxiety, addiction, etc. Savannah herself, has a lot of issues in her own life, especially being insecure and lacking self- confidence. Sierra, Savannh’s twin sister, was always trying to convince her to lighten up, but she knows her sister holds grudges forever.

Mason Beckett, Savannah’s former crush and best friend, is back in town; and she wants nothing to do with him, since she blames him for destroying her life a long time ago. Mason is determined to win her back, even if she hates him now, but he is totally infatuated with Savannah, and later he will learn that what happened years before was a miscommunication, which did not involve him.

Savannah finds herself spending time with Mason, especially after allowing her to hypnotize him as a test; and she begins to have feelings for him, but doing her best to not fall in love with him.  Mason was such a great guy, very patient and totally going out of his way to prove his feelings to her.  I will say, I thought Savannah was very annoying, with her grudges, and not looking for the truths. Though the banter between Mason and Savannah was very good.

I loved the relationship between Savannah and Sierra, as they were so close and Sierra was a sweetheart. I thought that Sierra came across as more mature, honest then Savannah. Even to the very end, Savannah continued to be very frustrating, being her own worst enemy, as she would sabotage anything, even if she needed to recognize the truth.

Hypnotized by Love was a heartwarming story, that was fun, fast paced, swoon, wonderful relationship with sisters, and love. I wasn’t crazy about Savannah, until the end; but I did adore Mason, and liked Sierra.  Hypnotized by Love was very well written by Sariah Wilson.
