ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date November 5, 2024

It could be fate or a bitter witch. Either way, someone is against them.

Alisa Roberts went to Manhattan expecting to meet the father she never knew. Finding her mate, though, that was one hell of an inconvenience. Especially when their bond cemented her curse. Destroying the witches responsible is the only way to end their spell.

When Declan Quinn answered the call of a golden dragon shifter, he rutted his way into a disaster. His new mate had a vendetta against witches. Unfortunately, his best friend happened to be quite magical.

When her fire and his ice clashed, they realized fate had a cynical sense of humor. Can the sins of the mother ever wash away? Or will Alisa and Declan pay the ultimate price?

•••••

Sandy’s Review:  GIVING THE DRAGON ICE is the second instalment in Victoria Jayne’s contemporary, adult ELEMENTAL DRAGONS paranormal, romance series. This is gold fire dragon shifter / bartender Alisa Roberts, and teal ice dragon shifter Declan Quinn’s story line. GIVING THE DRAGON ICE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual omniscient third person perspectives (Declan and Alisa) GIVING THE DRAGON ICE follows in the wake of the fated mating of our story line couple. Fated mates between dragon shifters is rare, and the gold dragon shifter is even rarer but when Alisa’s dragon goes into heat, she finds herself in the throes of passion with a dragon she doesn’t know. Enter Declan Quinn, teal dragon shifter, and the man who answers Alisa’s call to mate but all is not well in the world of the supernatural, and Alisa’s line of gold dragons has been cursed by a coven of Ember witches in the wake of a former, perceived betrayal. As Declan and Alisa journey together into the unknown, Alisa is targeted for someone else’s sins.

The world building focuses on family and dysfunctional family dynamics both within the world of the dragon shifter and powerful witches. Alisa lost her mother at an early age, and she has spent her life in hiding with her grandmother who feared a curse placed on her family line. Meanwhile, Alisa will go on the hunt for the family she never knew, only to discover they are closer than she could have ever imagined.

The relationship between Alisa and Declan begins as fated mates but Alisa wants nothing to do with a relationship predicated upon magic and DNA but fate had other plans for our story line couple, and they will have to take precautions in an effort to protect their family and futures. The $ex scenes are aggressive and impassioned.

The secondary and supporting characters include Gideon and Ella (Giving the Dragon Fire 1); Alisa’s grandmother Lilian: her father Duncan Hayes, witch Josephine; witch Felicity; and Declan’s mother Sonya.

GIVING THE DRAGON ICE is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, acceptance and love. The premise is intriguing, magical and captivating; the romance is fated and provocative; the characters are desperate and enchanting.

Julie’s Review

I’d read the first book in this new series (Giving the dragon Fire) which I loved. So I was looking forward to reading the next in the series.

Alisa is a gold dragon and is in town to meet her father, who she has never met before.

Declan is a teal dragon. He’s also a real player, ladies flock to our MMC, and he’s loving the lifestyle. He’s also a dragon that works for Alisa’s father!

Alisa hates witches with a vengeance! Declan’s best friend is a witch! (Can you see the situation here?) I did mutter “uh oh” out loud when I read that part.

And then being together sets Alisa’s curse off! The witches that want her 💀 now have Declan in their sights too! But unfortunately now they are mated Alisa can’t walk away and save Declan.

Fated mates is a real favourite genre of mine (the whole idea of a destined soul out their that is just for you, makes me swoon 😜)

We get to catch up with Ella and Gideon (Giving the Dragon Fire) which I always like (don’t like it when previous couples just disappear!) and there was a twist that I didn’t see, but I absolutely loved.

But saying that, you don’t have to read in order to appreciate this book. You won’t really miss anything (except a cute couple) if you start here.

As with the last book, it flows really well. We have steam, humor, danger, fated mates,, and a new family, it has enough spice to keep you hooked 😜 and plenty of drama to keep you turning the pages well past your bedtime. I was totally hooked, and didn’t stop until I was done.

So, will Declan aid his new mate in her quest for vengeance against the witches? Can Alisa’s curse be broken?

Oh and be prepared to cry towards the end….

I’m looking forward to the next book. 🦋

The Teller of Small Fortunes by Julie Leong – a Review

The Teller of Small Fortunes by Julie Leong – a Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo / Google Play / Apple / BAM / Bookbub

Description:
Tao is an immigrant fortune teller, traveling between villages with just her trusty mule for company. She only tells “small” fortunes: whether it will hail next week; which boy the barmaid will kiss; when the cow will calve. She knows from bitter experience that big fortunes come with big consequences…

Even if it’s a lonely life, it’s better than the one she left behind. But a small fortune unexpectedly becomes something more when a (semi) reformed thief and an ex-mercenary recruit her into their desperate search for a lost child. Soon, they’re joined by a baker with a knead for adventure, and—of course—a slightly magical cat.

Tao sets down a new path with companions as big-hearted as her fortunes are small. But as she lowers her walls, the shadows of her past are closing in—and she’ll have to decide whether to risk everything to preserve the family she never thought she could have.

Review:

The Teller of Small Fortunes by Julie Leong is a standalone novel, which is a cozy fantasy. Tao, our heroine, is an immigrant fortune teller, who travels with her mule, into many villages, offering only small fortunes.  Tao was born as Shinn, but lived her whole life speaking only fluent Eshteran. The story follows Tao, as she finds herself a new found family, filled with adventure and friendship.

Tao meets Mash, is a mercenary, (who is looking for his 4-year-old missing daughter): and his friend Silt, who is an ex-thief, who is charming, witty and funny.  Together the three of them travel to different villages, with Tao tells small fortunes, with Mash and Silt traveling with her; especially Mash continuing to look for his daughter. After visiting a few villages, they come across with Kina, who is sweet and loves baking, and decides to follow Tao, and become a part of the group. A short time later, we meet Fidelitus, who is a magical cat.  As they continue visiting different villages, they all bond together, as their friendship becomes more like family.

Tao is approached by a mage, who wants her to join the Guild, but she manages to escape, and they all continue to avoid the mages, who are hunting her.  Tao faces prejudice, as she wants nothing to do with the Guild, as she only does small fortunes, knowing privately she does have ability to be a seer, which she avoids at all cost; as Tao is bitter and resentful against the Guild.

Eventually, the army and mage, will find her, and bring her to the Guild, as they need to use her true ability to help read the truths. When Tao meets the High Mage, she learns more secrets that they need her help with.  She realizes that she is able to be a Seer, and help the Guild truly discover if there is war on the horizon.  Tao manages to reveal the truths, and accepts the High Mage allowing her to move on, but be available in future cases.  She manages to get some money, and free her friends, as well as the High Mage willing to find Mash’s missing daughter.

The Teller of Small Fortunes was a warm, wholesome, funny, cozy and wrenching story.  It was an emotional and thoughtful story, that was a terrific read.  The Teller of Small Fortunes was very well written by Julie Leong. A emotional comforting tale, with new found family, and wonderful secondary characters.  I suggest you read this book.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October 15, 2024

Azriel is a talented guitarist with a rebellious streak, often the source of tension within his struggling band. Meanwhile, Seraphina, a university student haunted by the loss of her parents, is trying to move forward while holding on to their memory. When their paths unexpectedly cross, an undeniable connection forms, one that feels both new and strangely familiar, as if from a shared dream.

Falling for Azriel wasn’t in Seraphina’s plans. She’s always found it difficult to open up, afraid of the heartache that comes with loss. But as their bond deepens, Seraphina starts to believe in a future with him, something she never thought she’d be ready for. Yet with each step toward that future, she’s reminded of how easily life can change.

Can she risk her heart for a chance at real love, or will fate have a different plan, one that could change everything?

••••••

REVIEW: A debut author/book for me. The cover drew my eye, and the blurb had me one-clicking it.

Azriel

Ryder/Asher/Cade are members of the band with Azriel. They’ve been friends for a while. They dream of making it big. But fortune has not been kind lately, down on their luck, they just want a break….

Seraphina

“Sera” works in a bar, she’s also in her last year at University studying an option that wasn’t her first choice! (Sera and her best friend Mia lodge/work together) She was a singer/songwriter, until parents died 5 years ago. After they died she just couldn’t face all those memories that her music brought back to her! 😞

Meeting at the bar where Sera works was just electric ⚡️ sparks flew…. And they both realised their lives had changed…. But for the better? You need to read on 😉

It’s very much one step forward, two steps back… I understand where Sera was scared, but it did get just a little tedious 🙄 I kept shouting at my kindle (which for me usually signals I’m immersed in the world that’s being created) for her to seize the day. Azriel also made mistakes, but was willing to try and make this new connection that they had work.

It’s almost a small town romance vibe, with a splash of angst, well until the end…. Then I’d say it became a deluge!

Loved the banter within the boys on the band, and how they had each other’s backs. And the friendship between Sera and Mia was just so close, a true friendship/sisterhood.

We also have a mystery to solve….. who’s sending the flowers? And why are Azriel and Sera dreaming of one another? And there may or may not be another budding romance 🥰 could that be the next book? 🤞

OMG!!! The cliffhanger….. my kindle nearly went out the window!!! That second book had better be released soon 😱

From Dream to Reality: Crafting Seraphina and Azriel in Jade Strings

Every story starts somewhere, and for me, Jade Strings began with a dream, twice, in fact. I found myself dreaming of a moment so vivid that it stayed with me long after I woke up, a guy with light green eyes approached me and offered his hand. The dream felt so real, and it left me wondering: What if? When I didn’t meet that person in real life, I realized I had a choice: hold on to the lingering “what if,” or explore it through writing. Instead of letting it fade, I chose to turn it into a story.

Seraphina: A Journey of Fear and Impulse

I began to imagine Seraphina as a young woman navigating the loss of her parents, which left her reserved and uncertain about letting new people in. She’s cautious, but when emotions run high, her impulsive side takes over. Her fear of loss makes her hesitant to trust others and risk the heartache of losing someone again.

Before the tragedy, music was a significant part of her life, but now, those talents lie hidden beneath the weight of her past. Her journey isn’t just about confronting her pain, but also about rediscovering the pieces of herself she once lost.

Azriel: A Rebel with a Passion for Music

Azriel came to life as a rebellious spirit with a deep connection to music. Growing up in a challenging environment, he learned to rely on himself, which shaped his defiance and desire to break free from limitations.

His journey is marked by setbacks and a relentless drive to prove his worth, which built walls around him higher than even Seraphina’s. At first, success was his only goal, but meeting Seraphina changed his perspective, making him question what it means to be worthy, not just of achievement, but of someone who believes in him.

Side Characters: Adding Depth and Real Connections

While Seraphina and Azriel’s connection is at the heart of Jade Strings, the story wouldn’t be complete without the presence of the side characters who bring warmth and tension to their world.

Seraphina’s best friend, Mia, isn’t just a confidant; she’s like family. The two have faced so much together that their bond feels unbreakable. Mia is the bold risk-taker who pushes Seraphina to step outside of her comfort zone and embrace what life has to offer, encouraging her to follow her heart instead of letting fear hold her back.

On Azriel’s side, his bandmates, Ryder, Asher, and Cade, create a lively dynamic that contrasts with the emotional intensity of the main story. Ryder is more rebellious than Azriel, unafraid of anyone or anything, with a fierce personality that often leads the group. Asher is the grounded “good boy” who balances out the group’s energy. Then there’s Cade, the ultimate romantic with a sense of humor, who lightens the mood but often finds himself on the receiving end of teasing. Despite the teasing, the bandmates’ loyalty runs deep. They push each other’s buttons, but when things get tough, they show up for each other without hesitation.

Embracing the Role of Fate and Luck

In Jade Strings, I wanted to show how life, fate, and luck often intersect in unexpected ways. Seraphina once had everything, stability, family, and a clear path, only to have it all taken away in an instant. Meanwhile, Azriel, who had nothing, faced constant struggles and rejection until he found success. Their stories are a reminder that sometimes, no matter how hard we hold on, what isn’t meant to be will slip away, and at other times, fate and luck can offer us something we never expected.

Finding Inspiration in Unanswered Questions

Writing Jade Strings allowed me to explore the idea of unexpected connections and the courage it takes to open up to new possibilities. Seraphina’s journey isn’t just about facing her past, and Azriel’s isn’t only about breaking through his struggles, it’s about finding someone who understands you in a way that feels almost destined. And with side characters like Mia and the bandmates, I wanted to create a world that feels rich with real-life dynamics and lasting bonds.

Thank you for letting me share this journey with you. I hope that in Jade Strings, you find something that resonates with your own experiences and a reminder that every “what if” can be a doorway to something new.

How It All Began

Ever since I was young, I’ve been captivated by the power of words. I started my writing journey in high school, crafting poems and short, humorous stories for fun. It was a way for me to express my thoughts and emotions, and I loved seeing how stories could make people laugh, think, and feel. Later, with some unexpected spare time on my hands, I decided to dive deeper into my love for storytelling and began writing full-length novels.

What Fuels My Creativity

I draw inspiration from countless books and literary works, and when I’m not writing, you’ll often find me reading, listening to music, or watching my favorite TV series. These moments of relaxation and inspiration help me recharge and often spark new ideas for my stories.

My Big Debut: Jade Strings

My debut novel has a rather interesting origin, it all began with a dream. I had this recurring, mysterious dream about a guy I didn’t know, and it left me curious. When I didn’t encounter this person in real life, I thought, what if? That simple question sparked an idea: what if two people dream about each other and then meet in real life? How would their lives unfold from there? This thought became the foundation of my first book, and I’ve been excited to bring this story to life ever since.

Still able to serve his community, he has also been carving out a comfortable existence for himself and is not looking to make any changes to it anytime soon. Not even for a particular bold and ballsy redhead he’s been trying to avoid.

That turns out to be an impossible feat when a plane crash during a blizzard sets both of them on the trail of a young girl, all alone in the mountains. But it soon becomes evident they are not the only ones looking, and staying safe means sticking close together.

•••••

REVIEW: HIGH INTENSITY is the second instalment in Freya Barker’s contemporary, adult HIGH MOUNTAIN TRACKERS HMT 2G romantic suspense series, a spin off from, set in the author’s High Mountain Trackers. This is thirty-nine year old, dog trainer and handler Jillian Lederman, and former FBI Agent Lucas Wolff’s story line. HIGH INTENSITY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Jillian and Wolff) HIGH INTENSITY follows in the wake of an airplane crash in the mountains of Libby Montana. As the team at HMT struggle with the accumulation of snow, Jillian offers the use of her dogs as the team searches for any survivors, one of whom is missing, an eleven year old girl. As the FBI and law enforcement try to piece together what has happened, our heroine is targeted by a criminal enterprise as they too hunt, for the missing child. Working together to keep the young girl safe, questions begin to arise about the possibility of someone working from the inside in an effort to take control.

The world building follows several paths including the search and rescue of the plane survivors, and several lost hikers but not everyone will make it out alive. As Wolff declares himself guardian and protector of Jillian, he finds himself falling for the child, and the woman he is hoping to claim as his own. We are up close and personal as Jillian reveals the heart break in her life, and her ability to move on from the past.

The relationship between Jillian and Wolff began on a previous search and recovery when Jillian’s dogs were once again need to help but the recent snow storm brought Wolff back into Jillian’s life when he needed to ensure she was safe, having stranded himself over night. Working together to locate and rescue the missing child, our couple find themselves acting on their attraction, with the hope of something more. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of colorful and familiar secondary and supporting characters, many of whom we met in the original series. We are introduced to eleven year old, Hayley Vallard, as well as several FBI agents, law enforcement, and Hayley’s uncle Grant Vallard. The requisite evil has many faces.

HIGH INTENSITY is a story of betrayal and greed, search and rescues, family and relationships, acceptance and love. The premise is detailed, captivating and dramatic; the characters are animated and spirited ; the romance is spicy and tender.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October 31, 2204

Madden

Being the newest member of the Laurel Springs Police Department and the LSERT hasn’t been easy. I’m trying to carve out a place of my own where family bonds run deep in this tight-knit group of men. They haven’t been unwelcoming, but I yearn to truly belong.

In both Laurel Springs, and the LSERT. The one friend I can count on is my K-9 partner, Donut. We’re working hard to prove our spot in the police department, and find a sense of home.

When I’m thrust into the role of school resource officer for the local elementary school, I never anticipate being drawn into an investigation that threatens to unravel the fabric of Laurel Springs. Going back to the origins of the Moonshine Task Force. Nor do I expect a little boy with sad eyes and his hot aunt to wiggle their way into my heart.

Becca

My new life as a dispatcher is a far cry from the dreams I had before I took custody of my nephew. I’ve put a lot on hold to make sure he has what he needs, and the stability he craves.

But Madden? He’s a beacon of warmth and strength during an emotionally cold time for me. Despite my resolve to focus just on being a guardian, there’s a spark between us, igniting a flame I thought was long gone.

As we navigate what is becoming an increasingly complex situation, we discover that in the craziness of chaos, love has a way of finding it’s place. Even in the darkest of nights.

•••••

REVIEW:Laramie Briscoe is back at it again with the next installment in The Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team. As always, I recommend reading the series in order to get the most of the story, but each individual book can be read as a standalone.

Madden is new to the Team and eager to prove himself, and his furry K-9 partner; Donut. A chance encounter at the local school brings Becca into his life, the missing piece he didn’t know he needed. Both Madden and Becca work for LSERT, so both are continuously busy, but when they meet their attraction is pliable. I think the connection between these two worked so well because of their mutual affection for Becca’s nephew Mick. Madden and Mick were raised by similar fathers (not so good ones) and because of this they share a deep bond.

Madden is a fast paced, found family romance with just the right touch of spice and drama for all readers to enjoy. Overall I did enjoy the story, I do wish it had a little more sustenance to it, more time to flush out the characters and a little more umpf to the beginning to get it going. Overall however, I really, really enjoy the LSERT series and I look forward to seeing what comes next.

TALK WICKED TO ME (The Wickeds: Dark Knights 6) by Melissa Foster

TALK WICKED TO ME (The Wickeds: Dark Knights at Bayside 6) by Melissa Foster-review

Amazon.com / Amazon.ca / B&N / KOBO / Google Play /

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October 30, 2024

Between expanding his veterinary practice, commitments with his motorcycle club, and international travel plans, Baz Wicked has little time for anything else. When a beautiful, frantic pregnant woman barges into his office for help with her dog, he senses something is off, and he’s drawn to her in ways he shouldn’t be. But now he can’t get Emerson Lockhart out of his head.

Having a baby wasn’t in Emerson’s plans, but neither was tragically losing her parents more than a decade ago, when she was only a teenager. After all she’s been through, leaving the chaos of New York City and moving to the peaceful small town of Bayside while on the cusp of giving birth was a piece of cake. She’s used to handling things on her own, but when an unexpected emergency brings the charming vet—who makes her remember she’s more than a mother-to-be—back into her life, she’s grateful for his help but wary of his friendship.

Emerson knows how quickly the people she cares about can be stolen away, and she never wants to experience that devastation again. But the fiercely loyal, protective biker isn’t easily dissuaded. Passion ignites and affections run deep, but when their pasts collide and Baz’s demons are revealed, will it douse their flames, or can true love prevail?

••••••••

REVIEW:  TALK WICKED TO ME is the sixth instalment in Melissa Foster’s contemporary, adult The Wickeds: Dark Knights at Bayside erotic, romance series set in the author’s numerous interconnected series. This is thirty-four year old, veterinarian Dr. Baxter ‘Baz’ Wicked, and editor / single mother Emerson Lockhart’s story line. TALK WICKED TO ME can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Several characters cross over from, or are mentioned from the other series.

Told from several omniscient third person perspectives including Baz and Emerson TALK WICKED TO ME follows the building relationship between our story line couple. Emerson Lockhart is nine months pregnant, single and her dog is in need of emergency care. Enter Dr. Baz Wicked, a veterinarian, a member of the Dark Knights MC, and the man with whom Emerson will fall in love but within hours, Emerson would find herself giving birth on the side of the road with only Dr. Baz Wicked around to help. From the outset Baz takes control of the situation, and without family or support, Emerson will become ensconced in the Wicked family dynamic, at times fearing for the direction of her future. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Baz and Emerson, and the potential fall-out as Baz has volunteered for a mission overseas, and Emerson’s past returns in the hopes of making things right.

The world building is detailed and meticulous, following several paths including a recap of some previous events, and tight family connections; Emerson’s losses and need for forgiveness; the Wicked family’s grief and their need to pay it forward; and the possibility of heart break for our story line couple. The large extended Wicked family becomes both a curse and a blessing for our story line heroine, at times, her entire life controlled by the over protective nature of the family but Emerson needs help, and in this, the Wickeds are quick to jump in when they are needed the most.

The relationship between Baz and Emerson is one of immediate attraction but Emerson is alone and pregnant, and Baz is determined to become guardian and protector of the woman with whom he will fall in love. Falling quickly for our story line heroine, Baz finds himself at a crossroads when his time to go overseas may threaten the fragility of their growing love. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.

Once again, as per Melissa Foster’s style of writing, there is a large ensemble cast of familiar, friendly, and helpful secondary and supporting characters. Some of the previous story line premises are addressed, in an effort to keep both the reader and our heroine aware of the background and histories.

TALK WICKED TO ME is a story of family and friendships, relationships and love, grief and understanding. The premise is intriguing, captivating and inviting yet I had to question the author’s turn of events regarding Baz’s trip overseas knowing the potential dangers for terrorism and violence but such is the nature of the ‘fictional’ story line. The romance is seductive, edgy and passionate; the characters are spirited and energetic. TALK WICKED TO ME ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October 31, 2024

Blade

I’m Finley, but no one has called me that in a long time. My brothers know me as Blade and that suits me fine. When they need the really dirty work done, they call me in. There’s a darkness in me that has no issue inflicting pain. Sometimes I think I crave it.

Despite my brothers falling like flies, I certainly don’t believe in love or relationships—at least not for me. Everyone believed I moved to Texas to watch over Sage, the truth was I was running. I ran from something that terrified me more than staring down the barrel of a gun.

Eliska.

She’d been through hell and she deserved better than me. I couldn’t give her what she wanted so I left. Except she just showed up in Texas with storm cloud eyes full of determination. Danger is looming. Death and destruction are closing in. Things with the club are about to turn upside down and we’re going to make some dangerous enemies. The last thing I need are distractions in the form of a golden-haired goddess.

I will only hurt her—break her. Yet, I’ll cave if I can’t get her to leave. I’ll claim her as mine and that will likely destroy us both.

REVIEW:BLADE by Kristine Allen is the fourth instalment in Kristine Allen’s contemporary, adult RBMC: DALLAS TX dark, erotic, paranormal romance series, set in the multi-authored RBMC world. This is Finley aka Blade, and Eliska’s story line. BLADE can be read as a stand alone but for back story and cohesion, I recommend reading books one and two TAMING RAPTOR and RAPTOR’S REVENGE.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there WILL BE triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Blade and Eliska) following several timelines BLADE focuses on the return of the woman Blade left behind. Blade doesn’t do relationships , and believing he had failed the woman he loves as a sister (Sage), the return of Eliska places a target on the RBMC: Dallas but all is not well in the world of the RBMC, and with several chapters targeted and all but decimated, the Dallas chapter find themselves at a crossroads when the survivors announce a change in direction for the future.

The world building focuses on betrayal and loss as the remaining RBMC members must come to terms with a possible betrayal, and their future going forward. As the death and destruction destroy the numerous chapters of the RBMC, a new focus and a new future may be the only option remaining.

The relationship between Blade and Eliska is one of second chances but Blade believes he doesn’t deserve love; punishment is his way of proving he is alive, with an ability to feel but when the woman he loves is targeted, Blade must come to terms with his heritage, and the secrets that will be revealed. The $ex scenes are intimate yet aggressive.

There is a large ensemble cast of familiar and dynamic secondary and supporting many of whom we have met in the interconnected world of the RBMC including Raptor and Sage (Taming Raptor / Raptor’s Revenge), and characters from RBMC: Ankeny.

BLADE is a story of betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, acceptance and forgiveness, and the supernatural. The fast paced premise is dramatic, captivating, and dark; the romance is impassioned; the characters are broken yet determined.
