REVIEW:BEYOND MY DARKNESS is the first instalment in RC Boldt’s contemporary, adult, paranormal, romantic suspense series focusing on the Scorpions MC. This is Scorpions MC president, thirty-nine year old Bronson Cortez, and twenty-nine year old morgue assistant Georgia Danvers’ story line.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Georgia and Bronson) BEYOND MY DARKNESS follows Georgia Danvers, who works as an assistant in a Florida morgue, an assistant with the ability to awaken the dead. Georgia Danvers has been called a freak all of her life, and suffered at the hands of a brutal and sadistic past. Georgia has the ability to awaken and talk to the dead, an ability that comes in handy when she is struggling to uncover the the who and what of the cause of the death but Georgia never expected to be caught up in what looks to be a potential gang war, a war that is focusing on the Scorpions MC. Enter ScoRPions president Bronson Cortez, and the man with whom Georgia will fall in love. What ensues is the building relationship between Bronson and Georgia, and the potential fall-out as Georgia is targeted by an unknown, having been warned off of someone or something she knows nothing about.

Bronson Danvers doesn’t do relationships, doesn’t do love, but finds himself falling for a woman who knows more about the dead than he could ever know. The people around Bronson are dying, and Georgia knows the who and how but Bronson has no idea the reason why. Georgia finds herself falling for a man who is dangerous and dark but Georgia knows darkness as it has followed our heroine, all of her life.

The relationship between Georgia and Bronson begins when the recently deceased let Georgia know to pass on a message to our story line hero. As the bodies and messages increase, Georgia finds herself pulled into a possible war, a war where our heroine is the ultimate target. The $ex scenes are erotic, provocative and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to several members of the Scorpions MC: Daniel and Steve; Bronson’s abuela, as well as café owner/waitress Angela, and Detective Wade Henderson.

BEYOND MY DARKNESS is a story of obsession and betrayal, vengeance and retaliation, power and control, forgiveness and love. The fast paced premise is intriguing, entertaining and captivating; the characters are energetic and charismatic; the romance is seductive and intense.

RC Boldt enjoys long walks on the beach, running, reading, people watching, and singing karaoke. If you’re in the mood for some killer homemade mojitos, can’t recall the lyrics to a particular 80’s song, or just need to hang around a nonconformist who will do almost anything for a laugh, she’s your girl.
