REVIEW: ACE is the fourth instalment in Brooke Summers’ contemporary, adult FURY VIPERS MC dark, erotic, MC romance series. This is MC president Tobias ‘Ace’ Anderson, and twenty-three year old, tattoo artist Andromeda ‘Eda’ Peters’ story line. ACE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion as there is an ongoing premise throughout.

NOTE: For fans of Brooke Summers, several characters from the author’s MADE series cross over with cameo appearances.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Eda and Ace) ACE follows the building relationship between MC president Tobias ‘Ace’ Anderson, and twenty-three year old, tattoo artist Andromeda ‘Eda’ Peters. For years Andromeda suffered at the hands of her brutal and abusive father, and three step brothers, until the day a woman she didn’t know, saved our heroine from future harm. Fast forward to present day, Adromeda, who has never known love, is unable to trust, and is apprehensive in the face of promises and expectations. A friends with benefits only relationship with Fury Vipers MC president quickly turns into something more but Eda keeps secret her dark and dangerous past. Tobias ‘Ace’ Anderson is desperate for vengeance against the man that destroyed his sister’s life but Ace has no idea just how close to the man he is about to get. As Ace and Eda’s relationship continues to develop, secrets reveal the truth, pushing Eda out of Ace’s life, and directly into the path of a psycho. What ensues is the building relationship between Eda and Ace, and the potential fall-out as Eda is once again targeted, destroying everything she has been battling in an effort to survive.

The relationship between Eda and Ace is one of convenience but Eda doesn’t do relationships, and knows her time with Ace is coming to an end but life has an unexpected way of changing the future, if only Eda can escape the past that continues to destroy. Ace continues to struggle in the face of his sister’s loss and abuse, and he is determined to destroy the man that destroyed her life but Ace is about to come face to face with the monster that broke the woman our hero loves, a woman whose heart Ace is about to shatter. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and passionate.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including several from the author’s MADE series (Dante, Romero, Makenna Finn and Renzo, as well as three of Adromeda’s brothers Orion, Leo, Draco, and their mother Lyra; MC members Pyro, Hammer, Stag, Mayhem, Digger, Shadow and Wrath. The requisite evil has many faces.

ACE is a story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, abuse and torture, forgiveness and love. The premise is dark, gritty and disturbing; the romance is provocative; the characters are broken, strong-willed yet single minded.
