REVIEW: SINFUL HEARTS is the third instalment in Jagger Cole’s contemporary, adult DARK HEARTS dark, erotic, Mafia, crime world romance series. This is twenty-nine year old Hades Drakos, and twenty-six year old attorney Elsa Guin’s story line. SINFUL HEARTS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.The DARK HEARTS series is set in the author’s KINGS AND VILLAINS world.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Elsa and Hades) SINFUL HEARTS follows in the aftermath of Elsa Guin’s visit to a members only $ex club. Months earlier, attorney Elsa Guin came face to face with Greek Mafia member Hades Drakos, and would find herself working on a business acquisition with the Drakos family. Fast forward to present day, Elsa is desperate to lose her V-card, a V-card that is currently being used by someone else as fodder for control. An anonymous one-night stand in which Hades has no idea as to the identity of his partner ends when Elsa ghosts our hero sometime through the night but Elsa’s need to run is more or less predicated on the threats in her life, a life that is connected to her past. As Hades refuses to admit to a relationship with Elsa, he will soon discover that all is not well in the between the different factions of the criminal underworld, and the Drakos family is about to be pulled into a war with the Bratva and Albanian mobs. What ensues is the building relationship between Elsa and Hades, and the potential fall-out when secrets and lies push Hades to threaten the woman he loves.

The relationship between Hades and Elsa begins as a working relationship but Elsa struggles with a future that is no longer under her control, and the future of her fifteen year old sister Nora who is about to become a pawn for power and control. Hades doesn’t do relationships but something about Elsa draws Hades like a moth to a flame, a moth that refuses to admit there is more to Elsa than meets the eye. Elsa knows that to get involved with a client could mean the end her to law career but Hades refuses to back down, or let go of our story line heroine. Hades obsessions with Elsa is the only thing that will protect our heroine when the past refuses to let go. The $ex scenes are intimate, provocative and intense with a little bit of ‘daddy kink’.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and dynamic secondary and supporting characters including Hades’ brothers Ares and his mate Neve, Kratos Drakos, sister Calliope Drakos, their grandmother Yaya aka Dimitra Drakos; Neve’s cousin Eilish; Elsa’s sister Nora, and head of the Kildare Irish Mob Cillian Kildare; Reznikov Bratva head Gavan Tsarenko and his captain Leo. The requisite evil has many faces. Gavan’s story line is next in TWISTED HEARTS.

SINFUL HEARTS is a story of secrets, betrayal, and vengeance; power and control; obsession and madness; acceptance and love. The premise is dark,dramatic and captivating; the romance is seductive yet gritty; the characters are powerful and determined.

A reader first and foremost, Jagger Cole cut his romance writing teeth penning various fan-fiction stories years ago. After deciding to hang up his writing boots, Jagger worked in advertising pretending to be Don Draper. It worked enough to convince a woman way out of his league to marry him, though, which is a total win.
