ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date January 11, 2024

I tried to outsmart the King of Sin. Now, I’m his.

Brutal, cold, and illegally gorgeous, Dante Sartorre isn’t just mafia royalty. He’s also the tyrant owner of the infamously deviant and members-only Club Venom.

He’s also my new husband.

In my defense, I wasn’t supposed to be the bride. But I sealed my fate when I saved my friend: by signing the Venom Devil’s marriage contract myself.

Now, he owns me. All of me…

But Dante thinks I’ll play the part of the obedient little bride he needs in order to keep his club. And he swears he’ll rip out every dark secret and bring me to my knees if I don’t.

Little does he know, this marriage has an expiration date.

And so do I.

You see, it’s not just the simmering heat between us that’s toxic. It’s not just the way I can’t decide if I want to geld him or lose myself in him.

It’s my blood and the secret sickness inside of me that’s poisonous, too.

So if you choose to know our story, you must know three things:

This is not a fairytale.

Dante is the Anti-Prince Charming.

And my name is Tempest Black, and I die at the end.

REVIEW:TOXIC LOVE is the first instalment in Jagger Cole’s contemporary, adult VENOMOUS GODS dark, erotic, Mafia romance series-a part of the Dark Hearts World. This is thirty-four year old Dante Sartorre, and twenty-four year old Tempest Black’s story line.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Dante and Tempest) with memories from the past, TOXIC LOVE follows the marriage of convenience between our story line couple. In an effort to save Club Venom, Dante Sartorre has agreed to marry Charles Black’s eighteen year old daughter but the extended family wants nothing to do with the arranged marriage. A promissory blood marker is arranged between our couple, but Dante will quickly discover his new bride will be Tempest Black, the wild child, sassy mouthed granddaughter of Charles Black. A marriage of convenience where in both are looking for something else quickly turns into something more when Tempest reveals her secrets, and Dante continues to search for the people who destroyed his best friend’s life. What ensues is the building but acrimonious relationship between Tempest and Dante, and the potential fall-out as demons from the past take aim at our story line couple.

The world building reveals some of the back story of family and loss; of grief and betrayal; of secrets and lies. Dante is on the hunt, while Tempest is determined to uncover the truth about Dante’s connections to the memories of her past.

The relationship between Dante and Tempest begins as a marriage of convenience as The Commission has enforced a promise of marriage between Dante and Charles Black daughter. Tempest, and her brothers Gabriel and Alistair are hoping to prevent the marriage of their grandfather’s youngest child Maeve to Dante Sartorre, and in doing so, Tempest ensures Maeve will be protected from the man in charge. As our couple must come to terms with their new realities, Tempest’s health continues to spiral leaving the potential for a grieving mate. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, powerful and energetic secondary and supporting characters. We are introduced to Dante’s friend Carmine Barone, his brother Nico, and their father Vito: Tempest’s brother Gabriel and Alistair; as well as their grandfather Charles, and his daughter Maeve; a prolific number of Mafia, and Bratva members, their families, and security. The requisite evil has many faces.

TOXIC LOVE is a story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, secrets and lies, acceptance and forgiveness, family and love. The premise is gritty and dark; the romance is provocative and seductive; the characters are desperate and dynamic.

After deciding to hang up his writing boots, Jagger worked in advertising pretending to be Don Draper. It worked enough to convince a woman way out of his league to marry him, though, which is a total win.
