ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date August 27, 2013
For fans of Fifty Shades of Grey and Bared to You comes a wickedly erotic new novel of innocence, desire, and unbridled pleasure.
Delaine Talbot has a secret. When a matter of life and death threatens to tear apart her family, Delaine makes the ultimate sacrifice. She auctions herself off at Chicago’s most exclusive erotic club. Now she belongs to Noah Crawford, a wealthy mogul who introduces her to a seductive feast of the senses, awakening desires she only dreamed about.
Noah doesn’t know why Delaine sold her body for a cool two mil. But it’s the perfect business arrangement. The inexperienced beauty will learn to satisfy his every sensual need, yet never touch his heart. Almost immediately their relationship generates heat—in more ways than one. When they fight, they take no prisoners. When they love, they show no mercy. When they’re together, they never want to leave each other’s arms. But soon, their intense, physical bond will take an unexpected turn—evolving into something neither has bargained for: the promise of a lasting love.
REVIEW
4 out of 5 for this reader folks!
Like many formulas out there these days in the land of erotica, A Million Dirty Secrets by C.L. Parker delivers the handsome billionaire and the innocent, naive girl who changes his world. I happen to like that formula and appreciate it for what it is and also love how different authors spin it to make it their own.
A Million Dirty Secrets is the first book in the Million Dollar Duet Series. It takes place in Chicago, current time and centers around two main characters. Our leading lady is Delaine (Laine to those she permits) Talbot. Delaine is a softhearted, kind soul who has had to place herself in “don’t want to but I have to” position of being auctioned off as a sex slave/companion at the exclusive erotic club. She is quite self sacrificing as she is doing this to bring in a large chunk of money to ensure her mothers gets the medical treatment she requires to continue living.
Enter Noah Crawford. Noah is the rich guy who felt an instant spark when he sees Delaine at this auction and decides that two million for two years is just what he needs in his life. Sex at any time he chooses, any way he chooses and a beautiful woman on his arm at the big events that plague his life as a wealthy man. The catch … NO STRINGS! He owes nothing, no explanation and ensures that this is business contract only!
YAH RIGHT!!!!!!!! LOL
These two are a disaster right from the get go .. a hilarious disaster if you will! Their first sexual encounter had me in stitches! Delaine doesn’t like being bossed around and Noah can’t believe that the woman he bought won’t do all he says .. and SHE TALKS BACK! However, between the sheets, these two have it going on. *FANS MYSELF* This seems to be the link that keeps them together while they learn how to be around each other.
Secrets are revealed through out the story with the big one being “Why would a beautiful woman sell herself??” Noah sets out to uncover this secret and in doing so discovers so much more!
This book has some YUMMY scenes. The chemistry is absolutely there, the back and forth bantering, the punishments, and the tender moments. It also has an immature feel to it at times. I can’t place it, but I actually rolled my eyes a few times. Wasn’t that bad though or I’d be writing a very different review .. right?? LOL
So, love the fifty shades formula??? Then chances are you’ll enjoy this book as well! I am looking forward to the next one for sure as we are left with a bit of a cliffhanger … man I hate (LOVELOVELOVE) that!
HAPPY READING! 🙂
