REVIEW: I BELONG TO YOU is the fifth full-length installment in Lisa Renee Jones’ adult, contemporary Inside Out erotic romance series. This is Master Mark Compton and business associate Crystal Smith’s storyline. For cohesion and backstory, the series must be read in order. The history regarding Rebecca and her association with Mark is infinitely detailed in REBECCA’S LOST JOURNALS and her disappearance and subsequent investigation is addressed throughout the entire series.

Told from alternating first person points of view (Mark and Crystal) I BELONG TO YOU is Mark Compton’s continuing storyline. With Rebecca (Mark’s last submissive and assistant) missing and presumed dead at the hands of someone they both know, Mark begins to uncover the who and why of Rebecca’s possible demise. Suspecting that his family and Crystal may become the target of the same psychotic mind that destroyed Rebecca’s life, Mark brings in an outside security team to help investigate the whereabouts of the person(s) he believes responsible. Enter the Walker Brothers and their team of former CIA, FBI and military personnel

The relationship between Mark and Crystal becomes much more than business associates and friends with benefits. From friends to lovers, their attraction to one another is immediate but Crystal is no submissive-inside or outside of the bedroom. She was hired as Mark’s mother Dana’s assistant and she will become like a daughter when Dana’s cancer becomes too much to bare. Crystal will test Mark’s power and his need to control at every opportunity, and in the end she is the one with the ultimate control of his heart. The sex scenes are erotic, passionate and intense but always consensual and imaginative.

But, if you are looking for some closure as it pertains to Rebecca’s disappearance and probable death, there is none to be had. I have my suspicions about Rebecca’s disappearance –the possible truth about what happened-but sadly, there is no confirmation or body to be found. The final chapter in the series-ALL OF ME (Chris and Sara’s final story) is set to release in 2015-perhaps the mystery surrounding Rebecca’s disappearance will also see a resolution.

Lisa Renee Jones’ INSIDE OUT SERIES began with an idea and storage locker bought at auction. From there, Rebecca’s Lost Journals shaped a series that brought readers into a world of Masters and submissives, BDSM, missing lovers and accusations of murder and abduction.
