The Marriage Match by Tracy March – a Review

Description:
Hot bachelor seeks bride…
Resort tycoon Trent Hawthorne is looking for a wife. His all-business, no-nonsense grandmother (and the matriarch of the small town of Maple Creek) has selected three potential brides―all beautiful and approved. Each “fantasy date” will take place in a lush Caribbean setting, filmed like a reality show to promote the Hawthorne family’s chain of resorts. All of Trent’s hopes for love combined with a clever marketing gimmick…what could possibly go wrong?
As it turns out, all it takes is a kiss. A sizzling, sweet-as-sin kiss. But Cynthia Sawyer isn’t one of the bachelorettes, and she’s definitely not supposed to be making out with her boss’s sexy grandson. Not to mention it’s strictly against company policy. But Cynthia has her own reasons for hooking Trent up with a bride who isn’t her as soon as possible. And losing her heart is a price that she’s willing to pay…
Review:
The Marriage Match by Tracy March s a delightfully romantic tale of how romance and love can happen when two people so suited to each other meet, despite circumstances.
Cynthia Sawyer is a lovely girl who has grown up as a rebellious minister’s daughter, who grew up to love her parents despite their differences in lifestyle and attitude. She works as a personal assistant to Maple Creek’s matriarch Fairleigh Hawthorne “the Queen”. She also works at a local bakery part time to help make ends meet. The “Queen” has offered her a bonus of twenty-five thousand dollars to help ensure her grandson finds a bride of her choosing. The bonus is important to her, to help her parents get their home out of foreclosure.
Trent Hawthorne, grandson to the Queen, is a resort tycoon. He’s both handsome and smart. He has little time to find and woo a woman but longs to have a loving relationship and a family. He has consented to his grandmother’s idea of a “dating game” type event with three ladies his grandmother has hand-picked, from the right kind of women. This event will also be used as the new advertising campaign for their company.
Before starting on this project her meets Cynthia, who lives near his grandmother’s estate and is intrigued and delighted with both her beauty and personality. They share a brief romantic moment and one very hot kiss in the starry night, confusing them both.
This marvelous story then takes off with Cynthia having to help set up the fantasy dates on the island resorts with a camera crew filming. One date each of three weeks. Needless to say, she conflicted about this job, but she wants to save her parent’s home.
That’s where the story begins…and there is so much more. Tracy March has done a wonderful job of writing this intriguing story. The conversations are witty, and very emotional. The scenery is descriptive and exciting. The characters are so well done you fall in love with them and pray for the best outcome. This is a roller coaster ride of sight, sound, emotion, love and heartache.
The Marriage Match is a short, but thrilling read. Perfect for those days just after Christmas or actually anytime you have a few hours to cuddle up and enjoy a great story. If you’re looking for good entertainment, give this one a try. Enjoy, I certainly did.
