REVIEW: TRUE BLUE SEALs: ZAK is the thirteenth installment in Sharon Hamilton’s contemporary, adult SEAL BROTHERHOOD military romance series. ZAK focuses on the relationship between childhood friends new Navy SEAL Zak Chambers, and Amy Dobson-Chambers. TRUE BLUE SEALs can be read as a stand alone. Some of the previous story line characters and couples play secondary and supporting roles. We were previously introduced to Zak and Amy in TRUE NAVY BLUE (Seal Brotherhood #12).
Prior to his first Secret Ops mission, Zak Chambers proposed to his long time girlfriend Amy Dobson. Knowing that he wanted Amy waiting for him upon his return, Zak convinced Amy that a quick wedding was something they both needed, and proceeded to give the woman he loved, everything that she wanted. But something went wrong for SEAL Team 3, on their latest secret mission, and Zak returned a changed man-a man whose emotional and physical damage may have been more than he could have handled. While Zak struggles with his recovery, Amy struggles with the walls Zak continues to build around his heart. Amy will become Zak’s strength-a woman who isn’t willing to let go of the man who has chosen to close off his mind about the future.
TRUE BLUE SEALs looks at the struggles of military couples; their strengths and weaknesses; their support and nurturing; their heartbreak and survival. The premise focuses on recovery and acceptance; the characters are emotional and real; the relationship falters while Zak comes to terms with all that he has lost and more. Sharon Hamilton writes an emotional story line that is relevant to many of today’s military families and homecomings.

Very nice review. I have read some Military romance stories and have enjoyed them. I will give this one a try.
Great review, Sandy. Looks like a good series, but 13 books in, I won’t have time to catch up. Someday.
All of Sharon’s books read great as stand-alones so don’t let the “13” scare you off Barb! Zak is actually the 1st book in her sub-series “True Blue SEALs” with just a novella, True Navy Blue, preceding it.
Wonderful review Sandy. Thanks. Congrats to Sharon on the new release.
Great review Sandy and sounds like a really good book.
Great review, Sandy. Another interesting book and series.
Thanks for the review Sandy. I have read a few of Sharon’s SEALs books. Each one is definitely different
Sounds great Sandy!
wonderful review, sandy. sounds very good. maybe i can read the first book and see if i want to read all 13. might take me a long long time.
Her first book, Accidental SEAL, is free on most retailers right now if you want to check it out, Mari. And, like I posted above, all over her books can be read as stand-alones, you don’t have to read the first 12 to know what’s going on in this one.
Terrific review, Sandy. Another book that looks very good.
Looks great Sandy. Congrats to Sharon on the new release.
