Description:
Kira Andersen’s professional instinct for a story has never led her wrong. So when she learns of a famous writer hiding in plain sight in a tiny New England town, she can’t resist following the trail. The only problem is everyone in Harvest Cove seems intent on keeping her from tracking down the elusive author—especially a handsome distraction who’s making it very hard to focus on the job…
Henry “Fitz” Fitzroy has no intention of letting a nosy reporter uncover his alter-ego as superstar writer Malcom Roy. Only Kira’s persistence is hard to deny—as is his own attraction to her. The more time he spends with her, the more he discovers he’d give almost anything to keep her in his life. But as work and play become inexorably entwined for Kira and Fitz, they realize that getting what they want for their careers might mean losing everything their hearts desire…
Review:
A Little More Love by Kendra Leigh Castle is the 5th & final book in her Harvest Cove series. Once again Castle gives us another wonderful sweet romance that takes place in a small town, with friends and family surrounding them. I am sad to this series end.
In A Little More Love, Seth’s (he was previous hero) sister, Kira, comes to Harvest Cove to visit, and to investigate a rumor that will help her journalistic career. Fitz, our hero, does a favor for Seth and picks up Kira to bring her to stay at Emma’s (previous heroine) apartment. Both of them feel an immediate attraction, but as soon Kira mentions the name Malcolm Roy, a bestselling author, who is rumored to living secretly in Harvest Cove, they both begin to disagree on privacy issues. Kira is happy to see her brother and his future bride, and slowly begins to enjoy the atmosphere and friendship in Harvest Cove.
No matter how much they try to avoid each other, both Kira and Fitz find themselves together at most functions, and their attraction becomes stronger. While Kira questions residents about their knowledge of Malcom Roy, she senses that most of Seth’s friends clam up and determines they know who he is. What we learn almost at the start is that Fitz is Malcolm Roy and this is the main reason he tries to avoid Kira. Fitz does not want his life to change, and is determined to keep his identity private. But he cannot resist Kira, and soon their relationship becomes one with benefits, which they figure will only last for a month until she goes home. Slowly Fitz begins to realize that perhaps he needs to stop hiding, and he wants to trust Kira, not to mention he is falling in love with her.
Kira decides the best way to find Malcolm Roy is to email him, and slowly they start talking about his books through those emails. In a short time, Kira becomes excited that by the end of the month he will grant her an exclusive interview. Kira becomes enchanted with life in Harvest Cove, and she also realizes that she is in love Fitz. What follows is a sweet romance that will be put through the wringer at times with secrets, betrayal and trust. Will Kira forgive Fitz for his secrecy? Will Fitz be able to keep Kira in Harvest Cove?
Kendra Leigh Castle once again has given us a wonderful story with a great couple we loved from the start. Fitz and Kira were such a good couple, having so much in common; sexy hot chemistry, love of games and dogs. Speaking of dogs, I loved Norm, the drooling lovable dog, whom everyone loved. A Little More Love was a fun romantic read. If you have not read this series, I suggest you do so, as it has lots of great characters, sexy romances and fun stories.
