Bolivar Randy Heart (aka Brady) knows exactly what he wants next in life: the perfect wife. Raised in a strict traditional family household, he seeks a woman who is sweet, conservative, and eager to settle down. With his well-known protective and dominant streak, he needs a woman to offer him balance in a world where he relishes control.
Too bad the newly hired, gorgeous, rehab addict is blasting through all his preconceptions and wrecking his ideals…one nail at a time…
Charlotte Flowers knows who she is and refuses to apologize. Growing up poor made her appreciate the simple things in life, and her new job at Pierce Brothers Construction is perfect to help her carve out a career in renovating houses. When an opportunity to transform a dilapidated house in a dangerous neighborhood pops up, she goes in full throttle. Unfortunately, she’s forced to work with the firm’s sexy architect who’s driving her crazy with his archaic views on women.
Too bad he’s beginning to tempt her to take a chance on more than just work…one stroke at a time…
Somehow, some way, they need to work together to renovate a house without killing each other…or surrendering to the white-hot chemistry knocking at the front door.

REVIEW: SOMEHOW, SOME WAY by Jennifer Probst is the latest addition to the multi-authored 1001 Dark Nights anthology, and #2.5 in the author’s Billionaire Builders erotic, romance series focusing on the Pierce Brothers-Caleb, Dalton and Tristan Pierce- of Pierce Construction, Harrington Connecticut. SOMEHOW, SOME WAY is a bit of a departure as the story line focuses on friend, architect and business partner thirty five year old Bolivar Randy (Brady) Heart, and office administrator Charlotte Flowers. SOMEHOW, SOME WAY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from previous story line is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Charlotte and Brady) SOMEHOW, SOME WAY follows the acrimonious relationship between Pierce Brothers’ office administrator Charlotte Flowers, and architect Brady Heart. From the moment our couple met, the back and forth palpable sexual energy has elicited a less than friendly relationship between our leading couple. Brady Heart views Charlotte as a flighty, immature woman without a care in the world; and Charlotte views Brady as a high strung, chauvinistic, although sexy, dominant, and handsome, insufferable male. When Charlotte buys her first property to flip, the men of Pierce Brothers Builder devise a plan to keep their employee safe in the questionable neighborhood in which she bought. Enter Brady Heart, the man who reluctantly volunteers to ‘babysit’ Charlotte Flowers, and the woman who will open his eyes to a possible future outside of his current comfort zone.
Charlotte Flowers is not your typical twenty five year old-a little eccentric with questionable taste in clothing and design-but a woman who knows what she wants and goes for it. Brady Heart was raised in a traditional family where his parent’s marriage leads by example-an example Brady one day hope to emulate.
The relationship between Brady and Charlotte struggles with preconceived notions, and Brady’s inability to see past Charlotte’s colorful exterior. The sexual energy is palpable fueled by their inability to see beyond the anger. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense. Brady likes control in the bedroom.
The secondary and supporting characters include Caleb, Dalton and Tristan Pierce, s well as Brady’s large extended family who are the personification of everything Charlotte is not. We are also introduced to thirteen year old Jackson, a latch key kid whom Charlotte takes under her wing.
The world building follows Charlotte and Brady’s renovations for the house our heroine is going to flip, as well as Brady’s struggle with his attraction to a woman that, on the surface, is all wrong for his future plans.
SOMEHOW, SOME WAY is a spirited and spicy tale; an opposites attract /enemies to friends story line. The premise is intoxicating; the characters are charismatic and energetic; the romance is sensual and hot.
