Description:
Having spent her life as a captive, Siofra escapes when her power surfaces to save her from an attack, which exposes her as a nonhuman. All she wants to do is find her brother who is also being hunted, then vanish to live free from shifters. That was the plan and it would have worked if a golden-eyed jaguar shifter hadn’t stepped between her and a dangerous jackal, throwing a major kink in her escape when she falls for the sexy protector.

Rory didn’t choose to be a jaguar shifter and is determined to not mate even though he faces death from the Gallize mating curse if he doesn’t. The end may come sooner than he expects when his jaguar loses the ability to heal them, but that doesn’t prevent Rory from racing in to save a young woman from a vicious predator. The moment Siofra is in his arms and his power reaches out to hers, he struggles against the primal pull of the one woman he’s drawn to as a mate. Even if he didn’t feel the need to end his bloodline, she hates shifters.

None of that will matter if Rory fails to stop the deadly Black River Pack from using Siofra in a grisly experiment when she’s caught in a trap.

Review:

Stalking His Mate by Dianna Love is the 3rd book in her wonderful League of Gallize Shifters series. I am a big fan of Dianna Love, and I look forward to reading any of her books, as she always gives us great exciting, fun stories, with fantastic characters.   I am happy to say I loved Stalking His Mate. Background: The Gallize shifters are run by an ancient and powerful shifter, and they are the good guys, who secretly protect humans from the bad shifter groups.

In Stalking His Mate, we meet Siofra, our heroine, right from the start, as she is running away from killing one of the guards who was trying to rape her.  Siofra has been a captive by the Cadells Jackal pack almost all of her life; she also has the ability to see ghosts. Siofra was able to escape when one of the ghosts tried to help her, and suddenly she had powers that would save her life. Now she is on the run, knowing that the Jackals will be searching for her.

Rory, our hero, is a Jaguar shifter and a member of the Gallize Shifters. On a mission with his teammates, he comes across a young woman being attacked, and goes to her rescue.  Before he steps in to help her, he notices that she suddenly gets free, killing her attacker using her hands.  She manages to help Rory with the other attackers, but runs away before he can talk to her.  Eventually, Siofra and Rory will find each other and join hands to help her find her ‘brother’, as well as be one step ahead of the attackers.  A slow build romance begins with Rory and Siofra, with each having their own trust issues that would make their romance destined to fail.

Rory is also undergoing some issues with his Jaguar, which is affecting his ability to heal; even the Guardian tries to help Rory, and tells him he needs to come to terms with his own attitude and accept his Jaguar.  Rory also refused to acknowledge that Siofra was his mate, even though Ferrell (his Jaguar knew she was his).

What follows is an intense exciting action packed story that finds both Rory and Siofra constantly in danger.  The evil Jackal and Wolf packs are killing humans, and determined to get Siofra and her brother back into their control.   I do not want to ruin it for you by giving any spoilers, but this was an edge of your seat suspense that had us holding our breaths to find out if they would survive.  The last half of the book was a wild exciting non- stop, action packed race to save them all.

Dianna Love once again gives us another wonderful story, and a series that continues to wow us and look forward to more of the same.

As I always come to expect with Dianna Love, Stalking his Mate was a fun, exciting, tense adventure; great sexy couple, wonderful secondary characters, and bad villains.  I cannot wait for the next book. I strongly suggest you start with Gray Wolf Mate and enjoy the ride.
