REVIEW:POODLE is the fourth instalment in KL Savage’s contemporary, adult RUTHLESS KINGS erotic, MC romance series focusing on the members of the Ruthless Kings MC. This is thirty year old, club member James ‘Poodle’ Winston, and Melissa Livingston’s story line. POODLE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Told from dual first person perspectives (Melissa and James) POODLE follows the building relationship between thirty year old, club member James ‘Poodle’ Winston, and Melissa Livingston. But six months earlier, the Ruthless Kings rescued several women from a sexual slave ring (Boomer #2) including the woman with whom James would fall in love. Enter Melissa Livingston. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between James and Melissa, and the potential fall-out as James struggles with demons from his past, and his need for revenge against those who destroyed it all.

James ‘Poodle’ Winston was only seventeen when his young wife was murdered and their infant daughter disappeared. Brought to the Ruthless Kings MC, James would cultivate a lifestyle that would bring him up close and personal with the men he held responsible for the lives of the people he loved. Melissa Livingston struggles with her attraction to a man she believes despises the ground upon which she walks but James’ hatred for Melissa disguises an unwanted attraction to a woman who has suffered for so long and so much. The relationship between Melissa and James is one of immediate attraction but James refuses to act on his need preferring to continue his search for the men who killed his wife. The $ex scenes are erotic and intense.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including many members of the Ruthless Kings MC: Reaper and Sarah, Tool, Tongue, Doc, Badge, Skirt, Bullseye and Braveheart. The requisite evil has many faces.

POODLE is a story of betrayal, vengeance, abuse, hatred and love. The premise is raw and gritty; the characters are strong, energetic, merciless yet fun; the romance is tender, erotic, passionate and heart breaking.
