ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date November 17, 2020
Niamh Farren has been burdened by knowledge for most of her life. As one of seven fae children born into the human world with the ability to open the gate to Faerie, Niamh’s mission is to guide her fae brethren to do what’s right. Because Niamh has seen what will happen to the human world if she does not protect the gate. Throughout the years, she’s traveled the world with her brother Ronan, using her psychic visions to find the fae-borne and convince them to stay on the path that will keep the gate from opening. She has sacrificed much … but when she loses her brother to the mission, Niamh begins to lose herself.
For nearly one hundred and fifty years, werewolf Kiyo has wandered the planet as a lost soul. Cursed with immortality, he spends his awful eternity as a mercenary for hire. When the powerful Fionn Mór confides the truth about the existence of Faerie and hires Kiyo to protect one of the fae-borne, he accepts the challenge out of boredom, not heroism. Yet Niamh is unexpected in every way the werewolf can possibly imagine.
Guarding Niamh from her enemies is nowhere near as challenging as protecting the fae woman from herself. If Kiyo is to succeed, he must help Niamh find herself again, and not just for her sake. Ignoring the fierce connection between them may no longer be an option. A new enemy is rising and threatening to rip open the gate between worlds. To remind Niamh of who she really is, Kiyo must make the choice to lower his defenses and give into their bond. Or safeguard his own heart … and in doing so lead the human world to the brink of war.

REVIEW: BOUND BY FOREVER is the third instalment in S. Young’s (Samantha Young) contemporary, adult TRUE IMMORTALITY paranormal romance series. This is twenty-six year old, half –Fae/half human Niamh Farren, and one-hundred and seventy five year old, Japanese werewolf Kiyonari Fujiwara (aka Kiyo’s) story line. BOUND BY FOREVER can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion as there is a running premise throughout. Kiyo and Niamh were first introduced in book two KISS OF VENGEANCE.
NOTE: Niamh is pronounced ‘Nev’.
SOME BACKGROUND: Years earlier, Aine, the Queen of the Fae banned all supernaturals from the Land of the Fae, and in doing so prophesied the birth of seven human/Fae hybrid children who would be the keys to the portal back to the land of the Fae. In an attempt to prevent the opening of the portal, a supernatural group of vampires and werewolves formed The Garm, whose sole purpose is to hunt and kill the seven hybrid Fae. Three are dead. These are the stories of the remaining four.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Niamh and Kiyo) BOUND BY FOREVER follows twenty-six year old, half –Fae/half human Niamh Farren in her struggles with blinding and crippling visions of the future, and her quest to remain hidden from The Garm, and a Coven of witches who believe Niamh killed several of their brothers and sisters. Niamh’s visions propel our heroine to act in defiance, acts that have placed Niamh under the watch of Fionn Mor, the former high king (turned Fae) of Ireland. Having revealed herself to the human world, Fionn hires powerful werewolf mercenary Kiyonari Fujiwara aka Kiyo, to protect our heroine but Niamh’s visions are about to pull our couple on a journey through Europe and Japan, placing them in the direct line of fire. What ensues is the slow building, slow burn romance and relationship between Kiyo and Niamh, and the potential fall-out as Kiyo’s return to Japan is met with a debt owed, and Niamh’s visions reveal more than she could have ever suspected.
Niamh and Kiyo are both powerful members of the supernatural. Kiyo is an immortal, something more than a lone rogue werewolf; and Niamh has powers beyond the normal Fae. With the ability to heal quickly, Niamh and Kiyo have faced their own deaths on numerous occasions but someone is desperate to tear them apart, and in doing so open the portal back to the land of the Fae.
The relationship between Niamh and Kiyo begins acrimoniously when Kiyo is hired to protect and secure our story line heroine. Niamh is more than capable of protecting herself but Niamh has revealed her existence to the world, and in doing so, revealed her whereabouts to The Garm and The Coven. Kiyo doesn’t do relationships and keeps secret his immortality to protect who and what he is. Meeting Kiyo stirs something deep within our story line hero, something he is unable to comprehend or understand. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate and intense.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including Conall MacLennan, Alpha and Chief of Clan MacLennan,
(War of Hearts 1) Fionn Mor, and Rose Kelly (Kiss of Vengeance 2 ), IT specialist and vampire Bran; Japanese werewolf Alpha Sakura, her mate Daiki, several members of the Japanese Pack, and Astra, a Fae whose powers are beyond our story line heroine’s.
BOUND BY FOREVER is a story of vengeance and betrayal; power and control; relationships and fate. The slow building premise is imaginative and entertaining ; the characters are strong, intelligent and animated ; the romance is fated and spicy.
