REVIEW: JACK is the first instalment in Penny Dee’s contemporary, adult KINGS OF MAYHEM MC TENNESSEE erotic MC romance series-a spin off from the author’s Kings Of Mayhem MC. This is forty year old, club president Jack Dillinger, and twenty-five year old, college student Bronte Vale’s story line.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Bronte and Jack) JACK follows the building age-gap romance and relationship between forty year old, club president Jack Dillinger, and twenty-five year old, college student Bronte Vale. Five years earlier Jack lost his younger brother Cooper to a bullet meant for our hero and in the ensuing time Jack pursued everyone and anyone connected to his brother’s murder. Fast forward to present day wherein Cooper’s best friend Bronte Vale arrives on Jack’s doorstep without explanation but haunted by the ghosts of the past. Someone is stalking our storyline heroine, and Bronte is desperate and on the run. As the messages, text and emails continue to threaten our story line heroine, Jack struggles with his feelings for the woman that calls to his heart. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Jack and Bronte, and the potential fall-out as Bronte’s stalker is determined to take her down.

Bronte Vale has been in love with Jack Dillinger for as along as she can remember having grown up with the MC and Jack’s brother Coop but Jack struggles with their fifteen year age difference, and the continuing grief since his brother’s death. Having returned to college, Bronte knows it is time to move forward, but her stalker continues to make Bronte’s life miserable, and our heroine knows it is time to face the man that calls to her heart.

The relationship between Bronte and Jack is an age-gap romance wherein Jack battles between head and heart believing their age difference is too much to overcome. All of the members of the MC see there is something between our leading couple, but Jack continues to push back whenever he thinks about the woman with whom he is falling in love. Bronte is determined to prove Jack is worthy of her love but one misstep by our hero, all but pushes Bronte out of his life. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate, erotic and intense.

We are introduced to a large number of secondary and supporting characters most of whom are members of the Kings Of Mayhem MC Tennessee as well as Jack’s half-sister Faith, and Bronte’s friends Sebastian and Riley, and police officer Johnson. Doc’s story line is next.

JACK is a story of betrayal and revenge; power and struggle; family, loss, relationships and love. The premise is edgy and tragic; the romance is seductive and provocative; the characters are energetic and spirited.

Penny Dee writes contemporary romance about rockstars, bikers, hockey players and everyone in-between. She believes true love never runs smoothly, and her characters realize this too, with a boatload of drama and a whole lot of steam.

She found her happily ever after in Australia where she lives with her husband, daughter and a dog named Bindi.
