REVIEW:SEALED WITH A KISS is the fourth instalment in Erin Nicholas’ contemporary, adult BOYS OF THE BAYOU GONE WILD erotic, romance series, a spin off from the author’s BOYS OF THE BAYOU, and HOT CAKES series. This is former child star Naomi LeClaire, and wildlife rescue internet star Donovan Foster’s story line. SEALED WITH A KISS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from several third person perspectives including Naomi and Donovan, SEALED WITH A KISS follows the friends to lovers relationship between twenty-five year olds former child star Naomi LeClaire, and wildlife rescuer/reality TV/ internet star Donovan Foster. The aftermath of a hurricane finds our couple volunteering to help rescue both wild and domesticated animals along the Gulf coast but a steamy kiss caught on camera by the local paparazzi pulls Naomi and Donovan into the proverbial eye of the storm when a reality producer offers a chance at their own television show, focusing on not only the rescue of the animals but on their relationship the couple were hoping to keep close to their hearts. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Naomi and Donovan, and the potential fall-out as the unreality of a reality show is not what Donovan expected, and Donovan’s time in Autre, Louisiana comes to a close.

Naomi LeClaire has been in love with Donovan Foster since the first time they met but Donovan’s time in Autre is limited as our hero is constantly on the go, rescuing animals, and filming his next internet sensation. Donovan Foster never expected to find friendships, family and love in Autre, Louisiana, and battles between head and heart about the next step in his future as a wildlife rescuer. A reality show that becomes more scripted than real finds Donovan reconsidering everything about his future as an internet star.

The relationship between Naomi and Donovan is one of immediate attraction but Donovan struggles with demons from his past, and in this, he believes he is unworthy of his own happily ever after. Having watched his big brother Griffin (Otterly Irresistible) become a successful wildlife veterinarian and fall in love with local Charlie Landry, Donovan could only hope for his own success in life but having after he and Naomi rescued a trio of bear cubs, out couple hunkered down at the local wildlife preserver, taking their attraction to the next level. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of familiar and colorful secondary and supporting characters from three of the author’s interconnected series. The author has, thankfully, added a table of main and recurring characters at the beginning of the book, revealing and reminding of each connection, relationship, book and series.

SEALED WITH A KISS is a story of family and friendships, relationships and love. The premise is impassioned and captivating; the romance is seductive and intense; the characters are dynamic and charismatic; the secondary characters are flirty and fun;the world building is detailed and complex.
