REVIEW: ALWAYS HER LOVE is the fourth instalment in Melissa Foster’s contemporary, adult STEELES AT SILVER ISLAND erotic,romance series-one of many spin offs from the author’s LOVE IN BLOOM series. This is twenty-nine year old, single father/ house renovator Levi Steele, and twenty-four year old, professional photographer Tara Osten’s story line. Told from dual third person perspectives (Tara and Levi) ALWAYS HER LOVE follows the friends to lovers relationship between twenty-nine year old, single father/ house renovator Levi Steele, and twenty-four year old, professional photographer Tara Osten. Approximately ten years earlier, in the wake of a one-night stand, Levi discovered he was going to be a father, and the mother wanted nothing to do with raising a child. Fast forward to present day, Levi’s daughter Joey is now eight years old, and the proverbial apple of his eye but Levi and Joey have found themselves in a precarious situation having fallen in love with Joey’s aunt Tara, the younger sister of Levi’s one-night stand. Battling between head and heart, Levi struggles to keep his distance from the woman with whom he is falling in love. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Levi and Tara, and the potential fall-out as the past returns looking for a second chance.

The relationship between Tara and Levi is a friend to lovers. Tara has been in love with Levi for as long as she can remember but her six year age difference left Tara the target of taunts and ridicule by her older sibling and mother, something very few knew anything about. Struggling with ongoing issues of low self-esteem, Tara believes she isn’t good enough when rejection comes at the hands of the man that she loves. Levi Steele doesn’t do relationships, making his eight year old daughter his main priority but his attraction to Tara can no longer be denied, an attraction everyone sees, but the man in the middle. The $ex scenes are erotic and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

As per Melissa Foster’s style, there is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Levi and Tara’s friends and family, and many characters from the author’s other interconnected series, story lines and spin off. Levi’s sister Leni’s story line is next in WILD ISLAND LOVE.
