Angel’s Haylo by M.A. Abraham – a Review
Having read M.A. Abraham’s first book, Gabriel (Elven Chronicles), I quickly purchased Angel’s Haylo, which is a short story. Haylo, whom we met in Gabriel’s book, is Eden’s twin, and if you had read Gabriel, you know they did not find out about each other until they met in that story. I loved Haylo, and wanted to learn more about her.
In Angel’s Haylo, we get to see how the twins were separated at birth, as well as learning all about Haylo’s upbringing. We get to meet her family, the grandmother who stole her, and how Haylo learns of her Elf abilities, and about her real elf family. After reading Angel’s Haylo, we come away with a new insight as to why Haylo is the calm opposite of Eden.
I really enjoyed reading this short story by M.A. Abraham. It was very well written, and it does answer anything we wanted to know about Haylo, that was not explained in Gabriel. I can’t wait for the next book in the Elven Chronicles..Marious’ Story coming in August.

oh man, it sounds like a cute story. I want to read it, just don’t know when I’ll get the chance. I don’t which way I’m going right now i have so much on my plate. Yikes!!! Where does the time go??????
I can’t wait until I can read this wonderful story!! I love Mary Ann’s Elven world! *psst, did I spell that right?*
Thumbs up Jules, perfect spelling.
I love this and it did answered a lot of questions on Haylo’s earlier life and Eden’s.
Eden was allowed to fight and train with her brothers and Haylo went with her Grandmother a lot and learn to heal. It seemed Haylo had more interest in the things girls do, while Eden wanted to fight. I was was impressed by the love both girls were raised with. Looking forward to Marious and seeing more of these two in his story.
Mary Ann Abraham set the stage in Gabriel for the Elven stories. At the end of the book she left us with a cliff hanger and many questions about Eden’s new found twin Haylo, how they became separated, and why their mother Elizara did not realize that she had birthed twins. It is 34 pages packed with the unique style Mary Ann has developed in her story telling. I await the next elven book Marious knowing we are in for a treat.
My granddaughter is an Elf lover like myself and I have begun to read her this story. We are enjoying reading it together.
So looking forward to reading your short story and book #2!! What a magical world you’ve crated Mary Ann! Best Wishes my dear friend!
Angel’s Haylo has been surprisingly well accepted for a short story… Your comments are appreciated. Also, we have a few surprises planned with Marious’ Story. We hope you enjoy them, his book is almost completely edited already… sorry, no early releases on that one, but you never know what an Elf has planned.
Barb, sounds good. I’ll have to check out M.A. Abraham’s website. My TBR list is growing.
Love love the cover!!!!!
