REVIEW: BEAUTIFUL THIEF is the second instalment in MN Forgy’s contemporary, adult, OMERTA LAW dark, erotic, romance series. This is Romeo DeAngelo, and Luna’s story line. BEAUTIFUL THIEF can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary. Romeo DeAngelo was first introduced in book one BEAUTIFUL CRIMINAL.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Romeo and Luna) using present day and memories from the past, BEAUTIFUL THIEF follows in the aftermath of Kieran DeAngelo’s exit from the DeAngelo Crime Family, and Romeo’s reluctance to become an underboss in his father’s organization. To prove he is worthy, Romeo must negotiate the purchase of sex slaves, something of which he was unaware but Romeo’s latest acquisition is someone familiar, someone who stole his heart years before. What ensues is the quick building romance and relationship between Romeo and Luna, and the potential fall-out as Luna’s time with Romeo comes to a close.

The relationship between Luna and Romeo begins as a business arrangement, one in which Romeo had no idea as to what had happened. Rescuing one woman from sexual slavery meant many other women had been left behind, and in this Romeo is about to enter into the dark side, in an effort to avenge the woman with whom he is falling in love.

We are witness to Romeo’s breakdown fifteen years earlier wherein our anti-hero will meet his ‘flower’, a woman whose predilections and violent tendencies will eventually match Romeo’s own. Romeo was never number one in his father’s eye but with the departure of his brother Kieran, Romeo needed to prove he was worthy of wearing the proverbial crown.

We are reintroduced to Romeo’s brother Kieran and his girlfriend/wife Leona; Romeo and Kieran’s parents, as well as the return of their Uncle Gio and Leo.

BEAUTIFUL THIEF is a fast paced story of blood, bondage, family and crime; a story of power and control; rescue and revenge. The premise is dark and gritty; the characters are energetic, manic and a little bit crazy; the romance is wild and free.
