ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 26, 2025

Beckett Sinclair doesn’t do complicated.

He trains K-9s at Pawsitive Connections, runs ops with Warrior Security, and keeps his PTSD under control. Until a dead friend’s little sister shows up.

Audra Cartland is jumpy. Exhausted. Sleeping in the equipment shed when she thinks no one’s watching. Beckett knows that look—he’s seen it in combat zones, in victims, in his own mirror.

Someone’s hunting her.

She won’t talk. Won’t explain the fear in her eyes or why she flinches at shadows. But Beckett made a promise to her brother years ago in Afghanistan, and those debts don’t die.

Beckett should walk away. He’s got enough ghosts without taking on hers.

Instead, he arranges a job. A safe place to sleep. His protection.

When the hunter becomes bold enough to strike in his town, on his watch, Beckett stops playing defense. He’s lost too many people already. Failed too many times.

Not Audra. Not this time.

Some battles choose you.

REVIEW:BECKETT is the first instalment in Josie Jade’s contemporary, adult WARRIOR SECURITY romantic suspense series, a spin off set in the RESTING WARRIOR RANCH series co-authored by Josie Jade and Janie Crouch. This is former US soldier turned security specialist and K-9 trainer, Beckett Sinclair, and twenty-eight year old Audra Cartland’s story line.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Audra and Beckett) BECKETT follows in the wake of the arrival of Audra Cartland at Pawsitive Connections. Homeless, and on the run, Audra Cartland remembers her late brother told her should anything happen to contact Beckett Sinclair, a man he swears will protect her with is life but Audra is struggling to stay one step ahead of an unknown stalker, and refuses to reveal what is happening or why. When the stalker makes contact in Garnet Bend, Beckett calls in his fellow security specialists, as they begin a deep dive into the who, how and why of Audra’s unknown stalker.

The world building focuses on Audra’s determination to keep the threats to her life a secret from the people she now considers family and friends but whomever is hunting our story line heroine, is determined to destroy her life, including the man with whom Audra is falling in love.

The relationship between Audra and Beckett begins as a working relationship when Audra is hired to help with the animals at Pawsitive Connections. Hoping to remain off-book, Audra struggles when Beckett begins to worry about the demons tracking our story line heroine, unlike his own demons Beckett struggles to keep at bay. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of determined and energetic secondary and supporting charactersmost of whom have prior military experience. We are introduced to tech specialist and recluse Travis Hale,Ryan Cooper:Pawsitive Connections owner Lark Monroe, and Sheriff Lachlan Galloway (Montana Justice/ Resting Warrior Ranch 11).

BECKETT: WARRIOR SECURITY is a story of obsession and vengeance, secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, family and friendships, relationships and love. The character driven premise is intriguing, dramatic and edgy; the characters are desperate, charismatic and dynamic; the romance is seductive and fated.
