ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date June 20, 2025

With all my best mates settled down, I’m the last single man standing. Of course, the one woman to spark my interest is the only one in Scotland who seems immune to my charm. Dr. Saoirse MacGregor is brilliant, beautiful, and decided she hated me at first sight.

When her friend goes missing on a research expedition, Saoirse turns to us at Out of Bound Scotland for help. With my military training, I’m the best tracker we’ve got, so she agrees to an uneasy alliance—as long as I take her along for the search.

But the Highlands hold dangerous secrets, and what starts as a search and rescue quickly becomes something far more treacherous. Forced to rely on each other to survive, the walls between us begin to crumble. Turns out the posh vet I’ve been clashing with for months has depths I never imagined.

I’ll do whatever it takes to protect her. But the real surprise of this enemies-to-lovers journey? She might be the one saving me.

REVIEW: Beneath Highland Stars is book three in the Special Ops Scots series by Kait Nolan. This book is a forced proximity, enemies to lovers, woman in trouble, small town Scottish contemporary romance.
Finn Patterson is former Royal Marine and Special Forces. After retiring he opened up Out of Bounds, Scotland, with his friends. An outdoor adventure company that specializes in remote wilderness guiding.

Dr. Saoirse MacGregor is the town Vetrinarian. She has come to Glenlaig to help her grandfather with his vet practice. Saoirse doesn’t like Finn at all, especially sonce he refused to care for a kitten he found awhile back.

Finn recently lost a close military friend named Charlie. Charlie wanted Fonn to have his military dog, Ajax, if anything ever happened to him. He knew that Ajax would need Finn as much as Finn needed Ajax.

Ajax was Charlie’s military service dog, a Belgian Malinois. Ajax had served with their squad for years. And now it was time for Finn to take care of Ajax.

When he got to town with Ajax, he took him right to the vet to see if there was anything he could do to make the dogs transition to civilian life any easier. Thats when Saoirse srarted seeing a different side to Finn. One she actually liked.

But when Saoirse’s best friend Isla, goes missing in the wilderness she turns to Out of Bounds to help her find her. Finn offers to take Ajax and go look for Isla. But Saoirse insists on going along.

And thats when they run into some unsavory people. And they spend the next few days with their lives in danger to find Isla.
Will they be able to find her? Will they be able to tolerate each other alone in the wilderness?

I absolutely loved this book in the series. I was a fan of Finn sonce the first book. There is a lot of twists and turns and danger in this one.

Highly recommend
