REVIEW: BLUE is the sixth instalment in Victoria Jayne’s contemporary, adult ODIN’S FURY erotic, MC romance series. This is the continuing story of club member/tattoo artist Charles ‘Mooky’ Retz, and Dakota ‘Blue’ Frost. BLUE should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up after the events and cliff hanger of book five MOOKY. If you have not read MOOKY, there may be spoilers in my review.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from omniscient dual third person perspectives (Mooky and Blue) BLUE follows in the aftermath of the break up of our story line couple. For all intents and purposes Mooky is a married man, although he has been separated from his wife for a very long but the separation has come at a cost. A rookie cop with a vendetta targeting Mooky Retz , threatens not only his children but the woman he loves. As Mooky struggles to stay one step ahead of the dirty cop, Blue is about to pay the price for sins of the past. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship between Mooky and Blue, and the potential fall-out as Blue is targeted in the name of revenge.

Mooky Retz tried to keep the marriage together for the sake of the kids but the vitriol, cheating and anger were too much to bare. A quicky divorce was out of the question but threats to Blue meant someone else was about to become the target of the ODIN’S FURY MC. Dakota ‘Blue’ Frost fell in love with Mooky while mentoring at his tattoo shop but sometimes loves is not enough, and Blue found herself, on the outside looking in, when Mooky’s past refuses to let go.

The relationship between Mooky and Blue is a second chance relationship. Blue is a former clubgirl with the Odin’s Fury MC but is hoping to make a name for herself as a tattoo artist, on her own. With Mooky doing work for the club, Blue finds herself struggling with her own direction in life, reconsidering the path on which she was about to embark. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative.

We are reintroduced to Odin’s Fury MC-club VP Dash, president Clark, Cajun, attorney Nate Sawyer, as well as Blue’s BFF club girl Sarah, and tattoo artists Mammoth and Stella; Mooky’s soon to be ex-wife Angela, their children Star and River, and Officer Dylan Holt.

BLUE is a story of vengeance and obsession, betrayal and bitterness, forgiveness, acceptance and love. The fast paced, anxiety-ridden premise is tragic, raw and dramatic; the characters are dynamic and stubborn; the romance is spirited and edgy.
