REVIEW:CHASING LYRIC by KE Osborn is a stand alone, contemporary, adult, erotic, romance story line focusing on Chase Malone aka Chase Covington, and florist Lyric Griffin’s story line. There is a slight cross over with the author’s LA Defiance MC series, and a cameo from Rip and Autumn.

Told in three parts, from dual first person perspectives (Lyric and Chase), CHASING LYRIC follows the building romance and relationship between Chase Malone aka Chase Covington, and florist Lyric Griffin. An error by her co-worker and best friend Rory sends florist Lyric Griffin on the hunt for a new supply of fresh flowers for the annual Sawdust Art Festival but her return comes with an added bonus-a runaway goat -has tagged along on the ride home, a goat that a stranger knows only too well. Chase Malone, in town to buy flowers, will come face to face with his future in the guise of Lyric Griffin, and a goat, a goat whose owners are nowhere to be found. A few hours on the road to return the goat known as Doughnut sparks the beginning of a relationship that will be destroyed by secrets and lies.

The world building, divided into three parts follows the growing relationship and love between our story line couple. Lyric is the daughter of rock royalty but having grown up in the business, refuses to have anything to do with the lifestyle .Chase Malone is not whom he appears to be, and in this, our heroine will be blindsided, walking away with a broken heart.

The relationship between Chase and Lyric begins as an accidental meeting and quickly grows into something more. Lyric is finally learning to trust in the face of past betrayal but Chase’s secrets are about to reveal another betrayal that threatens any future happiness for our story line couple. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large and diverse ensemble cast of colorful secondary and supporting characters including Lyric’s best friend Rory; her parents Annie and Stylo Griffin, siblings Aria and Clef; Chase’s father Chase Sr, Chase’s best friend Dax, and Rip and Autumn.

CHASING LYRIC is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and mistrust, family and relationships, forgiveness and love. The character driven premise is heart breaking and emotional; the romance is seductive; the characters are desperate, determined and charismatic.
