ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date: NOVEMBER 19, 2021
He’s desperate for revenge… and her.
Navy SEAL Tony “Flakes” Hackenbreg’s career and sanity ride on the upcoming mission to hunt and capture a known ARMs dealer. Being forced to partner with the dangerously beautiful CIA agent Elliot Smith is the last thing he wants or needs. With her love for explosives, sassy mouth, and a body most men would kill for, Elliot is everything he never knew he needed. Nights and days forced together the two shift from enemies to partners before morphing into a sizzling attraction that neither try to resist. But keeping Elliot protected during the covert mission proves to be the hardest challenge of Tony’s career.
She’s willing to kill anyone who stands in her way… except the one SEAL whose commands she’s eager to obey.
Elliot Smith’s last operation to Colombia cost her everything: her flawless mission reputation with the CIA, her partner, and nearly her own life. With vengeance on her mind, she doesn’t want or need a mouthy, dominant SEAL monitoring her every move like an overprotective babysitter. But when he sneaks past her defenses, making her open up about her past and hopes of a future, Elliot wonders if she’s finally met her equal.
When tension turns to passion in the middle of a covert mission they miss the signs of a trap, putting Elliot’s life in the evil hands of their shared enemy. Can Tony find her before the ARMs dealer slips away with the only woman he’s ever loved or will Elliot be lost for good?
Covert Vengeance is a standalone, no cliffhanger, SEAL romantic suspense novel. Each book in the SEALs and CIA Series can be enjoyed on their own; however, because of character crossover, reading the series in order is recommended. This series is suggested for mature readers due to detailed intimate scenes, discussion of abuse, violence, and foul language

REVIEW: COVERT VENGEANCE is the second instalment in Kennedy L Mitchell’s contemporary, adult SEALS and CIA erotic, military, romantic suspense cross-over series. This is CIA agent Elliot Smith, and US Navy SEAL Tony Heckenbreg’s story line.COVERT VENGEANCE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary but I recommend reading the series in order.
WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise including graphic violence, there may be trigger for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Elliot and Tony) COVERT VENGEANCE follows in the aftermath of a mission in Colombia that went all to h*ll. Eight months earlier, CIA agent Elliot Smith, and her partner Kurt found themselves the victim of a possible mole. Beaten and broken, Elliot would be rescued but not before witnessing the death of fellow agent Kurt. Fast forward to present day wherein, Elliot finds herself desperate to return to business, having spent eight months in rehab in an effort to repair what she didn’t think was broken. Enter US Navy SEAL Tony Heckenbreg, and the man with whom Elliot would fall in love. Given the go ahead to return to Columbia to finish the job, Elliot and Tony would come face to face with the ghosts and demons from their past, ghosts once long thought buried and gone. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Elliot and Tony, and the potential fall-out as Elliot is, once again, the target of some pretty powerful people, people determined to break our heroine beyond repair.
Tony Heckenbreg struggles to live every day in the wake of losing so many men of his last mission but our hero never expected to be pulled back into the world where everything spiralled out of control, a world in which he was about to become guardian and protector of a woman who is determined to take down everyone that had ever done her harm. Elliot Smith lost everything eight months earlier but never suspected a possible mole in the CIA. Battered, bruised, abused and betrayed, Elliot is desperate for revenge but not before facing the man who has all but destroyed her life.
The relationship between Elliot and Tony begins as a working relationship one in which the CIA must work together with the US Navy SEALs but Elliot’s usefulness to the CIA is questionable on so many levels that no one is sure just who is the enemy, or if anyone have their backs. As Elliot finds herself under the protection of the our story line hero, Tony finds himself pulled into the aura of the woman with whom he is falling in love, a woman who is unaware of Tony’s connection to our heroine’s past. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense.
We are reintroduced to Gabe Wilcox and Lucia Rizzo ( A Covert Affair 1), SEAL Lieutenant Brandon ‘McLovin’ Lovell, CO Williams, CIA agent Kurt, and arms dealer Rico Suarez. I am looking forward to McLovin’s story line.
COVERT VENGEANCE is a story of betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, torture and abuse, power and control. The premise is raw and real; the romance is captivating, emotional and heart breaking; the characters are broken, desperate but trying to heal. Kennedy L Mitchell pulls the reader into an exciting and heart pounding look at two people seeking reparations for sins of the past.

Kennedy lives in Dallas with her husband, son, and 80lb Goldendoodle who still believes he’s a lap dog. A bookworm at heart, Kennedy loves to snuggle up in bed or by the campfire with an unputdownable book. She began writing two years ago with Falling for the Chance and has no plans of stopping. Her novels are witty, action-packed, and offer enough steam for a great facial. If you like strong heroines and sexy, tattooed men who can’t keep their hands off them, then this author is the one for you.
