Told from first person perspective (Layla) DON’T ACCEPT GIFTS FROM GHOSTS follows disgraced accountant Layla Craven as she embarks on a new stage in her life. Having recently inherited Craven Manor located in the small but magical town of Ashland Springs, from an aunt she never knew existed, Layla quickly discovers that all is not as it appears to be in Ashland Springs. From magic to mayhem, ghosts and potions, murder and mystery, Craven Manor begins revealing its’ secrets one supernatural entity at a time including a small kitten that may or may not be of the feline variety. Along with her new neighbor Poppy, and handyman Adam, Layla finds herself a target of greed and betrayal, leaving our heroine wondering where everything went wrong, including the possible murder of her aunt’s friend.

DON’T ACCEPT GIFTS FROM GHOSTS is a story of betrayal, obsession, greed, secrets and lies, magic and ghosts. The fast paced premise is intriguing and entertaining; the characters are energetic and determined.
