REVIEW: FIGHTING ROSEMARY is the first instalment in EC Land’s contemporary, adult DEVIL’S RIOT MC: MISSISSIPPI erotic, MC romance series, and instalment fifteen in the author’s Devil’s Riot MC: Originals world. This is SAA Calvin ‘Kevlar’ Bell, and underground fighter Rosemary’s second chance story line. FIGHTING ROSEMARY can be read as a stand alone but for back story I recommend reading VIPER’S TOUCH.

Told from several first person perspectives including Kevlar and Rosemary FIGHTING ROSEMARY follows the search and rescue of our story line heroine. Rosemary is an underground fighter who has been missing for several months but Kevlar and the Devil’s Riot MC were unaware of Rosemary’s disappearance, until her best friend reveals something is wrong.The arrival of Rosemary’s brother Cobra, and father Big, members of the Reckless Souls MC set a plan into motion that will reveal a long standing betrayal by someone they know. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship between Rosemary and Kevlar, and the potential fall-out as Rosemary struggles with Kevlar’s intentions, and the pain of what happened and why.

The world building focuses on the rescue of Rosemary, and the second chance between our story line couple. Following a one-night stand together Kevlar ghosted our story line heroine, and in the ensuing time Kevlar never forgot the woman who had stolen her heart. Upon her rescue, Kevlar will claim Rosemary as his own, something our heroine refuses to accept.

The relationship between Rosemary and Kevlar is that of second chances. Rosemary’s has suffered at the hands of her captor, forced to fight to save her life but Rosemary has a secret, a secret that keeps her fighting for the lives of everyone else. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text

There is a large ensemble cast of energetic, lively and aggressive secondary and supporting characters including several members of the Devil’s Riot MC, Reckless Souls MC (Cobra and Big), and those hunting and using our story line heroine. We are reintroduced to Viper and Jade (Viper’s Touch), Vulture, Cyprus, and Aries. The requisite evil has many faces.

FIGHTING ROSEMARY is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, family and friendships, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is dramatic and intense; the romance is seductive; the characters are desperate and determined.
